I miss Huck's so much! I'm from Sherman, and when I'd come home from college or after to visit with family, we always ate at Huck's at least once per visit...sometimes more! Nobody serves better catfish than Huck's! Plus, like all catfish places should, they serve their catfish with green-tomato relish! Service is always great! Rather dining in or ordering take out, this place is fantastic! Please be prepared for a wait if coming on the weekend. The catfish was great, not "muddy" whatsoever. The staff even split the order onto 2 plates as a courtesy. If we come back, we'll definitely get the full order of catfish instead, the shrimp were simply too small. We arrived at lunch time. Greeted at the door. It was very busy, yet we were seated right away. Our server got our drink order moments after being seated. We drove an hour to eat there. Very good catfish! It's been about 20 years since I had catfish and this was like eating my childhood memories. Extra crispy is the way to go! The hush puppies were also so good! Crispy (cooked a minute longer) catfish is great flaky and not muddy. Okra, fresh cut fries and Potato salad with ham is good. Coleslaw with garlic and bacon is okay but a little bit salty for my taste, however I ate it all. Stuffed crab platter is memories of Red Lobster, very good and would like to try shrimp next. Absolutely wonderful food, I got the catfish and my husband got the grilled salmon today. The restaurant was very busy but we didn't have to wait at all for a table. Our waitress was a delight she filled up our drinks and asked us several times if we needed anything. The food was delicious and stayed hot almost the entire time I was eating.
