First let me start by thanking Denise for a job well done as the manager! I would also like to thank the extraordinary staff from waiters, waitresses for the extraordinary accommodating job they do every day. I am always intrigued when I travel places I've never traveled as a SOLO TRAVELER! I would like to say that although this hotel is recognized for their couples retreat I've seen entire family members during my stay!!! CORRECTION the restaurant is open to the public family and children over the age of 12 years old. Thank you so much for the birthday wishes and the beautiful ambiance of your rooms. I definitely recommend Mi Amor to provide you with a pleasant experience with lots of humidity. They don't have a shuttle to the airport however they have a private company that they utilize to transport you to and from round trip mine was originally $280 American dollars. I must stress if you're going to use a private transport service in Mexico make sure you get that in writing before arrival. Make suggestions if you can for your driver to at least speak enough English to announce to you what's going on along your drive. Also don't let them try and change the price on you while you're sitting in the vehicle on drop off. Whatever your original price was stated to you through email is exactly the price you will pay.

Beautiful property. Was just here a few days ago during Tulum's slow season. Our Air BnB told us we can't checkin till 4pm and we got to Tulum at 7am. I called Mi Amor a week prior and asked if we could purchase a day pass and leave our bags to the front desk. They were very accommodating. They charged $70 per person for the day pass but this goes to your food and drinks. You also have access to their pool and their cabanas located beach front. You are literally free to run around the entire resort which is very small but hey for $70 not a bad deal at all!It is important that you consume this amount per person or you will have to pay the entire amount anyway. We actually went way above 70. With the drinks alone, it's very easy to rack up that amount. This property is located in the hotel zone. So expect the cocktails to be just the same price as what we are accustomed to in the US. For my fellow travelers, I'm going to do you a solid if it's your first time in Tulum. Check out the beautiful Diamante Resort. It's a few doors down Mi Amor and they don't charge for a day pass to enjoy their pool as long as you order food and drinks. Be mindful this only applies during slow season in Tulum which is right now. You're welcome.

What a relief it was to arrive at Mi Amor! The hotel is in the national park which is a much more quiet/safe area of Tulum. But the best part of this resort is certainly the staff. The staff are so sweet and so kind and are on top of it. Bresa (not sure if I spelled it correctly) is the sweetest, most helpful person. The management was also amazing and stopped by many times to check on us. The cabanas are right on the beach which is super special. Overall it is quiet, romantic and a true place of relaxation. There are some awesome restaurants and beach bars walking distance. I would certainly recommend. Thank you all for everything!!

This place is magnificent and absolutely homely. Pros: front desk (especially Simon who is the sweetest man on earth), the restaurant staff (so sweet, efficient and the food is yummmmy), the cleaning staff comes in twice a day to clean and they legit mop the floors and deep clean. The views are stunning, it's not crowded at all, very clean, we had a champagne bottle, tea and chocolates waiting for us when we arrived. There was so much detail that goes into this place but most importantly the service is great! Cons: nothing, seriously nothing but if I had to pick.. no beach but you literally could sit in cabanas by the beach and it's stunning like bora bora style. Added some pictures and these pictures don't do justice.

As a first time visitor to tulum I searched extensively for the right hotel. I am so glad I chose hotel mi amor. It's in the archaeological zone on the north side of the hotel zone and it's sooo much more relaxing and peaceful. The south end is definitely more for party people and beach clubs which is ok of course if you are a twenty something that wants to party til dawn every night. But for us this location is unbelievably cozy and just drop dead gorgeous. The staff is phenomenal and go out of their way to ensure you are relaxed and having a chill time. I will only stay at this hotel anytime I come back to tulum. Food is amazing, drinks are on point. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend!!

I can't say enough good things about this place. This was our second time in that hotel after a year and half. I'm a little bit of a hotel snob and I have to give them the 5 stars plus. It's the perfect beach hotel. This time they upgraded us to our favorite room we had last time. I had such good memories from the last trip that it immediately made the whole thing all great. We were one of the first guests after them being closed for 3 months. Every staff member kept the mask on. They cleaned and disinfected every piece of our luggage, shoes, bag, and everything that you could imagine. I will go back to this place without a doubt.

Where to begin. Most incredible resort and the best trip of my life. My boyfriend and I went to Tulum for my 25th birthday, and I can't think of a single thing that didn't satisfy me the entire vacay. We arrived Wednesday afternoon and were picked up by the hotel's driving service, and the driver had a cooler packed with beer for us. Then we arrived to the resort and were greeted with cold towels and Prosseco. The entire staff was kind beyond words, and everyone spoke almost perfect English. Simon and Dominique basically ran the show and made sure we were well taken care of. I have never seen such a beautiful view in my life. We stayed in an ocean front room with a plunge pool, which I highly recommend. We were exactly 30 seconds from the gorgeous water, which was the bluest and most clear body of water I've ever seen. The day beds and view were pristine. The plunge pool was worth splurging on as it was incredibly lovely hopping in everyday to relax after a day of relaxation. The weather is perfect in Tulum. We had a couples massage, which was divine. The breakfast is included every morning, and it is far from your typical breakfast. It includes a starter, a huge entree, tea or coffee, fresh juice and mimosa. The food at the hotel was delicious. They offer a happy hour everyday from 5-7, 2 drinks for the price of one, and we drank everyday on the pool bed staring at the ocean. I can't think of a more perfect or romantic place. They have wonderful music, and live performers some of the nights. The restaurants and different beaches were about 10 minutes away by cab, 100 pesos/$5. I especially loved the restaurant Uníco and Ukami. My favorite thing we did aside from the plunge pool and beautiful views would be the cenotes. I hope to come back soon!

This small ocean front resort was the perfect relaxing getaway. With breathtaking views of the ocean and the sounds of waves crashing into shore, you can't find a more relaxing and welcoming home away from home. I especially loved there was no distraction of TV anywhere on site. Not in the restaurant nor in the rooms. We slept with our curtains open to wake up to the sunrise and the ocean views. A handful of comfortable cabanas are steps away from your door and conveniently located for use. Personal plunge pools can be heated upon request. Welcome drinks, turn down service, and cookies in our room were all nice features. Beautiful grounds and top notch customer service with drink service to your cabana or plunge pool. Staff was all very friendly and helpful in arranging taxi or other transportation. There is a great beach within walking distance and other restaurants as well. But we loved all the food at the one on site and ate there for multiple meals. You can arrange romantic dinners by the ocean or outside activities such as swimming in cenotes. The infinity pool was perfect for an afternoon cool down and was the perfect temp.

Lunch in our cabana....always delicious and fresh

All I can say is I wish I was back in our cabana enjoying our fresh cocktails and that beautiful blue ocean view. There is nothing quite like Mi Amor in Tulum. My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights during our honeymoon and we enjoyed every minute. The resort is beautifully kept and modernly comfortable (so nice to hide away in our A/C room to cool down from that lovely humidity!) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Room 13 with our own plunge pool and steps away from the cabanas. The pool near the restaurant was also a beautiful spot to have some cocktails while we watched the waves crash against the rocks. The staff...is truly special at Mi Amor. Since we were there in September while Irma was out in the Atlantic, there were very few people at our resort....which made for a lovely, quiet, quaint feeling during our stay. Jacqueline greeted us with cold towels and prosecco upon our arrival as we got a tour. Edwin, Javier, Brisa, Romo and others always made sure we were well taken care of in our cabana or during our morning room service. The food....there was never a bad meal. The breakfast that was included was not your normal continental breakfast- coffee, fresh juice, a fruit starter and a main course!? What a deal. Every dish was beautifully crafted with fresh ingredients and well thought out flavor combos. Their cocktails were equally delicious with all the fresh juices and herbs. The spa....was small and quaint, but amazing. Being a massage therapist, I have a tendency to hold high standards with my spa treatments. But Toni and Maria did not disappoint. We were treated to free 15 minute foot massages on our first day- nice way to start our relaxing honeymoon! A few days later, we enjoyed couples massages, followed by a flower bath with champagne. The aromatherapy with the warm pads on my back put my mind to ease and the massage was extremely relaxing--I even dozed off! A thunderstorm arrived half way through and added quite the ambiance to our setting. We then enjoyed sipping on champagne as we soaked in a large tub full of flowers. Quite the romantic afternoon for us as newlyweds. Bottom line: we'll be back. Don't know how soon-- but I wouldn't miss experiencing that all over again. Thank you Mi Amor!

What a great experience. I was a little nervous when we first arrived that this was going to be too pretentious. The person at the front was a little full of himself. He kept looking us up and down... we had spent the day exploring the cenotes an mangroves, so we were a bit sloppy. This was put to rest when we met and interacted with the rest of the staff. They were all warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. They had an affordable mini bar and fridge. There was a Nespresso in the room. The restaurant was fabulous. The food was very good. They put a good mix of contemporary and traditional Mexican food on the menu. Everything I had was well made and beautifully plated. Breakfast was included and it was great.

I just had a 7 day, 6 night vacation here. Absolutely love this hotel. I stayed with 3 girlfriends. We had a great time. The complimentary breakfast is soooo good! I had eggs your way everyday. Their fish tacos taste amazing. The fool area is very relaxing and super chill vibes. Beautiful room and the cleaning crew did an excellent job everyday. Front desk was so helpful - I think his name is Mario- he was a gem. I plan to return but next time with my fiancé :) the hotel definitely has a couples getaway feel. EXCELLENT STAY!

What a gorgeous spot! Who needs a beach when you have the sound of the ocean and a daybed with a gorgeous infinity pool?! Plus well made cocktails and really tasty food, offering a refined Mexican food. A little away from the main hub of tulum but walkable (30 mins or so) to the Mayan ruins. Not cheap but worth the premium.

We were given the information about the property and all the amenities as well as given a tour and then shown to our room, typically when you first arrive, they perform a greeting cleanse to, clear energy, set your vibe and give you a little taste of the beautiful Mayan cultural traditions. Unfortunately, when we were shown over to the location where they perform the energy cleanse no one was there so they said we'd have to come back the next day which never ended up happening. Finally, moments before we were checking out we asked if it was possible just to see what the experience was like before we left. That part was actually really good, especially after our experience staying here for six days, which will make sense by the end of this review. When we checked in, it was already dark out but the design and lighting as well as the bio inspired architecture which fuses art in nature was pretty cool to see. They only give you one key for your room for some odd reason, it was a little inconvenient because it meant that me and my wife had to be together at all moments and couldn't explore or do services separately without the hassle of having to meet up to share the key, or the other option is to go walk all the way to the front desk, which, although the walk is beautiful, the design of the floor is made out of a bunch of branches for the walkway and is very difficult to navigate, especially at night so walking turned out to be more of a hassle, but that's just me being nit-picky. The other option is you can reach out to your concierge and then they can send someone which means you're waiting sometimes 5 to 10 minutes, again very small minor inconveniences but nonetheless adds up when staying there for six days. It definitely has an effect on the overall appeal and serenity that one would expect from a place like this. The room itself had two very small shelf like closets definitely not enough hangers or space to accommodate both of our very limited wardrobe that we brought. I had to put 2 to 3 shirts on one hanger and hang the pants inside and that's literally all I brought other than T-shirts and socks and underwear and one pair of nice shoes I literally packed very minimal and still didn't have enough space... again very small inconvenience but nonetheless 20 different small inconveniences all fused together to make one kind of annoying overall experience. Now I can say that I have mixed feelings about the minimal electricity and necessity to use tea candles for our lighting, but I respect the sustainability aspect of it and it did make very nice environment and mood. The only downside is they tell you that you don't blow the candles out and you can leave them on overnight and we had one explode right next to our heads and over all of our bathroom essentials. The shower is right in the middle there's no protection for water so it gets all over the floor, I nearly slipped a few times because of it. Probably sounds nit picky, but these are things I believe make it or break it for places like this. We experienced some type of mishap daily. We ordered hot water and they brought a dirty used coffee pot. They left the dirty brush in the toilet area. Didn't pick it up until the following day. Asked us if we could place it outside the door. Took forever to bring blankets. They got maybe 8/10 requests wrong and charged us for some and denied that, so wasn't able to get a refund. wasn't much, but principally speaking it's horrible feeling in the midst of many things going wrong. Atmosphere - 90% (small weird sewage smell almost everywhere except the room) Vibe - 80% Cost - 75% should be more enjoyable for the price imo... i dont mind paying extra for experience when its on point Food - 60% (first meal, room-service, was incredible {and cost matched that} every other meal on property lacked in all ways except the sushi which we enjoyed as a snack before going to dinner off site. Really over priced in general but the experience and design makes it palatable. Service - 2 stars overall (except for our concierge who had to deal with her associates lack of professionalism and incredible number of mistakes made each day). Location/architecture,view - 100 (If it wasn't for the sound of the ocean slapping the rocks below our balcony and the sound of the waves soothing us at night, waking up to the most amazing view from bed facing the ocean and the sunrise and also the sunsets each night with a great breeze and insane temperatures than this trip would probably have been all bad. My suggestion. Book 1-2 nights for the location and view then find a better spot elsewhere.

There are no concierge reliably onsite. You are given a WhatsApp number to text and sometimes they can be very slow to respond. First issue I ran into was the concierge's lack of punctuality and poor communication regarding bike rentals. She promised a bike at 8am but 15 mins before the agreed upon time texted me that she could not follow through. I agreed to wait until 10 but was delayed a second time until 11. The second delay was not even communicated to me without my prompting. See chat screenshots. The main issue was my balcony was flooded by careless guests upstairs who left their outdoor tub running (see pic). I was splashed and had to change. My phone also got wet and I could not charge it for the rest of the night until it dried. I could have had other valuables such as electronics out that could have been irreparably damaged and I could not use either loungers, which were soaking wet for the rest of the day/night. The water ran for 10 mins before hotel staff could stop it. No one came to clean my balcony. However, most disappointing was the concierge's refusal to take accountability for the incident (again, see screenshots). I would have been happy with a complementary margarita but instead was completely dismissed. I asked to speak to a manager on site and was told there were none. I asked for an email address or phone number and was given only the reservation email address. I detailed my experience in an email and waited 2 weeks before righting this review. No one replied. It is my experience that guests' conduct at the hotel is within the control and part of the hotel's responsibility and that top tier hospitality establishments, which I had assumed Azulik to be, value customer satisfaction and have accountability. I was sadly wrong.

At Punta Piedra, my room was cleaned daily, with new towels, and they had a nice bowl of water by my door for me to wash off my sandy feet. The owner of the place was really helpful in explaining the taxi/bus system and in calling me cabs (we'd been ripped off at the airport and were nervous) and I liked having someone I could trust. I locked my stuff in the safe every night and in the day when we went out (two MacBooks, an iPad, passports) and nothing was stolen. The safe didn't feel very secure -- the lock was kind of iffy, but the room did, and as we had a beach view, and a private building, it would have been hard for a stranger to rob us. The sea was gorgeous and blue, but had some seaweed in it, as we'd expected. However: there's a way around this. Walk up or down the beach (you can get to this by climbing over the rocks at the side, or a looooong walk via road) and stretches of the beaches there (not all, but some) were seaweed free; the tide does what it wants, right? Located right on the coast, Habitas is a remarkable example of natural preservation and a quintessential way to experience Tulum the way it's supposed to be. This private jungle oasis is easily approachable from the main road, with staff directing guests where to park, which is along the street. The tents are very comfortable and the AC was sufficient despite intense summer heat. All the amenities are there. One of the best things is that there are no problems with bugs inside the tent as long as you are careful in keeping the doctor closed. Evenings are filled with noises of nature, including coati that love to frequent the roof of the tent and patio. There is pure magic to that, being surrounded not just by jungle plants, but animals too. Yet, it is something to keep in mind for some guests: do not expect a Marriott or a Hilton. This is a very real nature hotel. The restaurant is amazing and the design is very slick. Staff are attentive and helpful at all times. There is a nice little bar as well. Prices are high, but reasonable for Tulum relative to other hotels. The main area that was a little disappointing was the cleanliness of the pool. The water was greasy and borderline murky looking. Thus, this was the only real downside of the property. The pool is tiny as well. The hotel does allow outside guests to pay money and visit, so that does not help with keeping the pool clean and is the only reason I cannot give 5 stars. The beach, while swimmable, was loaded up with seaweed in early summer. The staff did an amazing job trying to clean up the seaweed, but it felt like an impossible task as they worked most of the day, yet more seaweed kept coming. As a whole, a remarkable property that I can recommend with no hesitation.

And while the reviews were great, I still wasn't sure what to expect since this place was 1/3 the price of other nearby hotels. Well, all I can say is: wow. This adorable, hyperlocal little mini resort is everything we were looking for. It features a cluster of grass-roofed cabanas surrounding a lush, tropical courtyard filled with white Caribbean sand. Every room has an outdoor seating area (some larger than others) so you can enjoy the ocean - which is only steps away as La Conchita is located right on the beach. It was so amazing to be lulled asleep every night by the loud, crashing waves. The property is no frills - there's no on-site spa, bar, or restaurant. But there's a beach club literally right next door which you can order from while enjoying La Conchita's private (and complimentary to guests) palapas and beach mattresses. There are also massages available in the beach area for a reasonable price - we saw many people partaking of them while we were there. Our room itself was big, bright, and comfortable. The bed was luxurious, the bathroom small-but-clean; and the room contained all the basic amenities we could need for our short visit: a small fridge to keep the beers cold, and a Nespresso machine for morning coffee. Our unit (#5) faced the beach directly, and we spent lots of time on our patio, watching the waves crash and the palm trees blow in the breeze. There are also several restaurants and bars lining the street, all within walking distance. Our favorite was Potheads, and elevated coffee shop with delicious food (and espresso, of course). We also dined at the tapas bar next door and it was delicious. They also offer a 10% discount to La Conchita guests for breakfast and dinner. When we left La Conchita we both agreed we can't wait to go back here on our next trip to the area!
