We had an unforgettable experience at Azulik. It truly felt like we were living in a jungle. We had a very relaxing and grounding experience here. Upon entering Mac we were just blown away but the interior. Every single thing is earthy there, from the bridges, to the cutlery, to the plumbing, just everything. They have an amazing spa, amazing restaurants such as Elixik and Kin toh, a museum right inside called Sfer Ik and even a gelato place. The sunset experience or El Mirador was my favorite. Seeing the sunset with conch sounds in the background and the beautiful beach by the side was very mesmerizing. We were lucky to get a room right by the beach so we could easily walk up to it whenever we wanted. The service was great, the room service would come everyday, if you needed something you could just tell this at the front desk or text the concierge and they would deliver within minutes. The no lights at night was a problem at first, but you get used to it. You could also bring some portable lights if you please. We also loved our patio where we could just lounge around and beat the crashing waves and birds chirping in the background. We even did a small gratitude ceremony at the sunset experience and loved it. I would stay at this place every time I visit Tulum, that is how much I truly enjoyed staying here! The bad reviews are surprising to me especially when you know that it's an eco resort, you should be prepared to live in an environment like this, otherwise just go stay somewhere else.
I spent weeks organizing a surprise proposal for friends here. On October 9, I went ahead of time to check out the space... we had a reservation for the next night at both the nest and DSJ rooftop bar. When I got to the entrance, the woman working there (Joanna) was unbelievably rude. I explained that we already had reservations and just needed five minutes to see where to set up the surprise. She flat-out refused and said I'd have to pay 8,000 pesos just to look. I asked for a manager, but she said the manager agreed I couldn't go up. She said the place is like the pictures online and I could decide from that. After 30 minutes of back-and-forth, she finally let me in -- and I was in and out in under 3 minutes. Thankfully, Juno upstairs was wonderful and actually helpful (the only positive part of this whole story). Fast-forward to the night of the proposal: Joanna, who knew it was supposed to be a surprise, asked in front of everyone, "Is this for the engagement party?" -- completely ruining it. Her apology didn't even sound genuine. The service after that was awful. We asked for the ahumador contra mosquitos they use at the tables, and no one brought it until we asked again and they brought it as we were closing out. The wait staff basically disappeared once they realized we weren't ordering food. We still met the minimum spend and even bought bottles, but it was the worst "special occasion" experience I've ever had. The place is gorgeous in photos -- but don't let that fool you. Between rude staff, bad energy, and zero hospitality, it's just not worth it.
I did not stay at the hotel (since it's eco friendly and didn't have any AC or lights in the room). I would give it a 5 star for its ambience, vibe and super friendly staff with excellent customer service. For the food and its price, I would give it a 3 star. The desserts were very good, those would be 4 star. I would highly recommend you visit this place at least once and see the sunset from the rooftop. There is an appetizer and drinks place, which I hope to try during my next visit to Tulum.
Reviewing the yoga class at the Azulik Spa. We had Sergio as our yoga teacher and it was an unforgettable experience. It is on the pricey end but the experience is worth it. Sergio talked about being present and I wont forget his take on how worrying about the future is robbing us from the present moment and distracting our selves from our own life. The class was wonderful. Highly recommend it.
Definitely an experience and would recommend to stay here at least once in your life. There is no electricity, we'll you have 1-2 outlet but other then that it's candle lighting, a tub with a coconut shell to scoop for water, no tv, it's like living nomadic however boho style and we loved it! The beach was amazing, as well as the beach service. The bell boy will carry your bags to your room since everything is made like a tree house. The roof top bar was insanely beautiful. Wish we spent more time there. There's 2 restaurants which absolutely gorgeous and one where you had to walk across by a bridge. Enjoyed every moment of it! 2 days would be enough, 3 days we got tired of not being able to see in the dark and it was away from the hectic crowd, which we had were trying to party. All in all great vibes
If I could give Azulik a 10 star review I would; it's simply magnificent, magical and my very favorite place to visit in the world as of today! Karen, my Angel made my visit so easy! She is just a text away to help you with anything that you want or need from ice to reservations. It's such a different experience and very unique! Two days minimum to enjoy everything that they have to offer. 4 days would be perfect. The Nest is a spiritual experience for watching the sunset; absolutely stunning! The beach has comfortable beds, swings, lounge chairs and a bar. There are three amazing restaurants. Room 34 is lovely! My only complaint is that the restaurants charge you $11.00 for a bottle of water! The water is free in the room so it doesn't make sense to pay such a ridiculous price for it on the beach or in a restaurant.
The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous. Our group of 9 was seated right away and we didn't have reservations. The views were amazing. Great photo opportunities. However, the environment seemed very unwelcoming and expensive, geared towards a luxurious audience. The restaurant is really dim and dark. Because it was raining the entire day, the place was pretty empty. The meal was severely overpriced ($350 for 3 appetizers, no drinks). One of the most expensive places we visited in Tulum for sure. I'm not sure I would ever stay here, or eat here again, but it was cool to see just once.
Wow! Absolutely wow! Such a beautiful and stunning resort with amazing rooftop bar! It is expensive and they do charge to get in so be aware, but completely worth the money! We went for the rooftop bar which opens at 5pm and closes at 8pm. We paid $50+ each to get in which included one beverage. To get to the top does required climbing two series of stairs. If you're a tall person just watch for your head. Overall, the view is stunning and probably the best vibe out of all Tulum in our opinion. It was super chill and relaxing. The drinks were delicious! I panicked a bit due to the height and suspension ropes and seating area but it is totally worth it! If I would love to stay hear next time for sure. We went on a rainy day but I would recommend coming in at 5pm to see it both the daylight and after sunset.
Celebrated my girlfriends birthday here. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately there are far too many negatives to outweigh the positive. The only positive being the views at sunset. Don't expect too much here. The rooms don't have lights, there are only one outlet in the room and no showers. Only a bath. This could be viewed as the whole Mayan jungle experience, or simply a hotel that's saving a ton of money on not providing electricity and water for their guests. One of the main reasons for my one star rating, is the lack of integrity from their staff. My girlfriend forgot my ear pods inside the room on the bed. She remembers exactly where she left them. Next day after realizing we forgot the ear pods, we check the location of them, and we see that they are now in playa del Carmen. Awesome. A hotel of this caliber, if this price should do a better job screening their employees and have a strict lost and found policy. Now to the restaurant... I should of listened to the other reviews. ABSOLUTELY over priced and nothing I ate was good. It just was not good. One of the appetizers was literally baby corn from a can wrapped in some sort of leaf, sprinkled with cheese, and they charge over 100 dollars for a few pieces of can baby corn.... How insulting. My main dish was a piece of fish, that was chewy and extremely cold. Overall paid over 700 dollars for a meal for 2 and was so unhappy with this experience. Extremely disappointed, will most definitely ever return. Look elsewhere, Tulum has so many nice restaurants with delicious food that isn't over priced. Forgot to mentioned, this was my girlfriends birthday, for a $700+ dinner, look at the picture she got for her birthday at the end. What a complete joke. You get better treatment at Olive Garden or ruby Tuesday. HARD HARD pass on azulik hotel and restaurant, TRUST me.
My group of ladies and I did the yoga session through this establishment and it was a wonderfully relaxing experience. We walked on this slightly uneven path of wooden logs to this huge dome. Our instructor was so patient and kind. The yoga session was the perfect touch to a vacation. The physical stretching and the mental calmness was well needed, especially in this world of constant demands. Part of our yoga session included putting some type of clay on our face and body. We then went down to the beach, closed our eyes, and just listened. It was so satisfying to just breathe and free our minds with the sounds of waves in the background. After that, we went in the water and washed off the clay. We got kind of wet but we were completely okay with that. Then he walked us back to the dome to retrieve our items. Before we left, we used their showers so we could get dressed and go to our next destination. Unfortunately the water didn't get that warm, and they don't have face towels, just the big dry off towels. So that was a challenge but we made it work.
A nice experience while visiting Tulum. We rented a nest for the evening. The nest was different to dine while enjoying the views in the area. It also a nice spot to take some cool pics Our service was good. The menu was a little confusing to me but the waiter advised me of some nice options. I ordered the lobster tempura, duck ramen and a lemon like ice cream cookie dessert (I can't recall the exact name of the dessert but it was good). Tseen-Ja and the other restaurants are popular locations for not only the food but perfect Instagram worthy pics. To rent the nest is pricey plus there is a food & beverage minimum when you reserve the nest. Again, for the experience I would suggest going and indulging yourself. **Still thinking about the delicious duck ramen.
Well, when we arrived for check-in, everything seemed as expected. We were greeted and introduced to the concierge. We were given the information about the property and all the amenities as well as given a tour and then shown to our room, typically when you first arrive, they perform a greeting cleanse to, clear energy, set your vibe and give you a little taste of the beautiful Mayan cultural traditions. Unfortunately, when we were shown over to the location where they perform the energy cleanse no one was there so they said we'd have to come back the next day which never ended up happening. Finally, moments before we were checking out we asked if it was possible just to see what the experience was like before we left. That part was actually really good, especially after our experience staying here for six days, which will make sense by the end of this review. When we checked in, it was already dark out but the design and lighting as well as the bio inspired architecture which fuses art in nature was pretty cool to see. They only give you one key for your room for some odd reason, it was a little inconvenient because it meant that me and my wife had to be together at all moments and couldn't explore or do services separately without the hassle of having to meet up to share the key, or the other option is to go walk all the way to the front desk, which, although the walk is beautiful, the design of the floor is made out of a bunch of branches for the walkway and is very difficult to navigate, especially at night so walking turned out to be more of a hassle, but that's just me being nit-picky. The other option is you can reach out to your concierge and then they can send someone which means you're waiting sometimes 5 to 10 minutes, again very small minor inconveniences but nonetheless adds up when staying there for six days. It definitely has an effect on the overall appeal and serenity that one would expect from a place like this. The room itself had two very small shelf like closets definitely not enough hangers or space to accommodate both of our very limited wardrobe that we brought. I had to put 2 to 3 shirts on one hanger and hang the pants inside and that's literally all I brought other than T-shirts and socks and underwear and one pair of nice shoes I literally packed very minimal and still didn't have enough space... again very small inconvenience but nonetheless 20 different small inconveniences all fused together to make one kind of annoying overall experience. Now I can say that I have mixed feelings about the minimal electricity and necessity to use tea candles for our lighting, but I respect the sustainability aspect of it and it did make very nice environment and mood. The only downside is they tell you that you don't blow the candles out and you can leave them on overnight and we had one explode right next to our heads and over all of our bathroom essentials. The shower is right in the middle there's no protection for water so it gets all over the floor, I nearly slipped a few times because of it. Probably sounds nit picky, but these are things I believe make it or break it for places like this. We experienced some type of mishap daily. We ordered hot water and they brought a dirty used coffee pot. They left the dirty brush in the toilet area. Didn't pick it up until the following day. Asked us if we could place it outside the door. Took forever to bring blankets. They got maybe 8/10 requests wrong and charged us for some and denied that, so wasn't able to get a refund. wasn't much, but principally speaking it's horrible feeling in the midst of many things going wrong. Atmosphere - 90% (small weird sewage smell almost everywhere except the room) Vibe - 80% Cost - 75% should be more enjoyable for the price imo... i dont mind paying extra for experience when its on point Food - 60% (first meal, room-service, was incredible {and cost matched that} every other meal on property lacked in all ways except the sushi which we enjoyed as a snack before going to dinner off site. Really over priced in general but the experience and design makes it palatable. Service - 2 stars overall (except for our concierge who had to deal with her associates lack of professionalism and incredible number of mistakes made each day). Location/architecture,view - 100 (If it wasn't for the sound of the ocean slapping the rocks below our balcony and the sound of the waves soothing us at night, waking up to the most amazing view from bed facing the ocean and the sunrise and also the sunsets each night with a great breeze and insane temperatures than this trip would probably have been all bad. My suggestion. Book 1-2 nights for the location and view then find a better spot elsewhere. read more

Although I found the resort to be beautiful, the customer service was far below the level I expect from a hotel of this price range (I paid $600+ for ocean front room/night). There are no concierge reliably onsite. You are given a WhatsApp number to text and sometimes they can be very slow to respond. First issue I ran into was the concierge's lack of punctuality and poor communication regarding bike rentals. She promised a bike at 8am but 15 mins before the agreed upon time texted me that she could not follow through. I agreed to wait until 10 but was delayed a second time until 11. The second delay was not even communicated to me without my prompting. See chat screenshots. The main issue was my balcony was flooded by careless guests upstairs who left their outdoor tub running (see pic). I was splashed and had to change. My phone also got wet and I could not charge it for the rest of the night until it dried. I could have had other valuables such as electronics out that could have been irreparably damaged and I could not use either loungers, which were soaking wet for the rest of the day/night. The water ran for 10 mins before hotel staff could stop it. No one came to clean my balcony. However, most disappointing was the concierge's refusal to take accountability for the incident (again, see screenshots). I would have been happy with a complementary margarita but instead was completely dismissed. I asked to speak to a manager on site and was told there were none. I asked for an email address or phone number and was given only the reservation email address. I detailed my experience in an email and waited 2 weeks before righting this review. No one replied. It is my experience that guests' conduct at the hotel is within the control and part of the hotel's responsibility and that top tier hospitality establishments, which I had assumed Azulik to be, value customer satisfaction and have accountability. I was sadly wrong. read more

We booked AZULIK for my birthday trip and stayed five nights and six days in a Sea Villa, and it was truly one of the most unique experiences I have ever had. Not peaceful most times; loud drumming and music one night until 3am, loud shouting from a couple above us, a woman screaming "help" outside our door 3am who ended up trashing our place. Very inconsistent and below average room service. If you love your room service, DO NOT COME HERE! Honestly the WORST! Constantly got shit wrong and every order was messed up. Very frustrating and disappointing. We stayed in the lower level Sea Villa with our own soaking tub right above the ocean. Falling asleep and waking up to nonstop ocean sounds was incredibly soothing and the best part staying here. Not the best sleep, but good enough for a few days during our stay. The large circular bed was surprisingly comfortable. It got pretty hot a few nights so did not use our blanket. The shell shaped soaking tub with the shower above it felt like something out of a fantasy. Just annoying that water splattered everywhere and the floors were always wet. I hated the toilet situation too. It was like glamping on the beach. Everything in the room feels intentional and artistic. The design, colors, and textures are stunning. It truly feels like living in a bohemian treehouse over the ocean. Every detail is thoughtful and beautifully curated. The amenities here are nice. Daily yoga at 8:30 am with a super sweet instructor, private beach access with plenty of seating, and an outdoor oceanfront gym at Ocean-IK that is absolutely incredible. Working out on the sand and even climbing the rock wall was such a unique experience. Your stay even includes access to the museum Sfer-Ik, which is a plus! The spa was pretty. Only downfall was the woman who worked there. As guests, I expected to be treated nicely and she was not nice at all. She was very rude and only gave my husband a towel. That experience was the last straw. All of the restaurants are beautiful. We enjoyed breakfast, tried the Japanese restaurant Tseen-Ja, and ordered room service. It's all very pricey dining here! The vegan pasta tho is to die for, and honestly everything we ordered was delicious. The only downside for me was the coffee, which was not great, but I come from a place that has perfected lattes, so I may be biased. I did not come here for the coffee. I came for the eco friendly resort and the vibe, and that part exceeded expectations. Our concierge, Stacy, was attentive. We communicated through WhatsApp and she always responded immediately most of the time. You can tell she truly loves her job. Sad she apologized most of the texts. All of the staff here is very friendly except the woman at the spa and any small issues we had were attempted to be taken care of. One of my favorite things about staying here was the candlelight culture. They really encourage minimal electricity use and mindful practices, including being careful with water and waste. It made us feel connected to their mission of preservation, and we genuinely wanted to do our part to respect the beauty they have created. Though be cautious leaving your candles lit all night which they said would be fine, It we came back anyone had exploded so there was broken glass on our floor. Throughout the property, there are beautiful netted walkways that make you feel like you are walking on air, lots of pillows and lounge areas, and the perfect "Tulum music" vibe. Soft, upbeat, and elevated. Never overwhelming unless it's after hours and you're trying to catch some Zzz. One night on the rooftop, a shaman performed a beautiful ceremonial ritual, followed by a live DJ. It was such a vibe. This place is pretty magical. From the design to the service to the energy, everything feels special and intentional. I cannot imagine not coming back here every year now, but not staying at Azulik. There are so many other eco-resorts on the beach. Restaurants, Shopping, Wellness, Cenotes, Mayan ruins is not too far and lots of these are walking distance. We rented an ATV n dune buggy for a day and you can just park across the street. So easy! I get why they only have 3 stars. Pretty to look at, great location; but it ain't a 5 star. read more

this was ~nothing short~ of "fantastical/fantasy. this place was something out of a this world. the server the food the "ambiance..." i can't even out into words.... i absolutely did not want to leave!!!! there are many places to dine in tulum this should top your list as a must try!!! read more

After that, we went in the water and washed off the clay. We got kind of wet but we were completely okay with that. Then he walked us back to the dome to retrieve our items. Before we left, we used their showers so we could get dressed and go to our next destination. A nice experience while visiting Tulum. We rented a nest for the evening. The nest was different to dine while enjoying the views in the area. It also a nice spot to take some cool pics Our service was good. The menu was a little confusing to me but the waiter advised me of some nice options. I ordered the lobster tempura, duck ramen and a lemon like ice cream cookie dessert (I can't recall the exact name of the dessert but it was good). Tseen-Ja and the other restaurants are popular locations for not only the food but perfect Instagram worthy pics. To rent the nest is pricey plus there is a food & beverage minimum when you reserve the nest. The only thing about here that is amazing is the pictures which is the main reason my wife wanted to come. The food we ordered was good, but it was fufu shishi type dinner meaning very small portions with exorbitant prices. I despise having to go to an expensive dinner then after dinner going to a local spot to complete my meal because I'm still hungry. I got the lamb rack which was really good and the risotto appetizer also very tasty. Since it was my birthday they gave me a complimentary......drumroll please......small piece of chocolate and tiny 2 slices of strawberry and I mean tiny. I will say the tiny piece of chocolate was tasty though. I will say come here definitely for the pictures and if you have a semi-full stomach. read more

I visited this hotel only to go to the Sfer-Ki while my friends went to the resort spa. The space was lovely, but much smaller than I thought it would be. It was extremely hot and humid and I was sweating the entire time. I paid around $10 (usd) to stay as long as I wanted. You must take your shoes off when you arrive and the you can walk about freely. The place is nice to see, but it mostly a photo op. read more

The food, the views, and the cute instagramy uniqueness of this place make it amazing. However, the high price for a room without AC (only a loud fan over the bed), the tiny bathroom (where you must take a bath with a small coconut that is used to pour water on your head), and the cramped room space make my score for this review go down. Overall, this is the type of place I'd visit for a day just to see the cute tree house look. The room amenities (or lack of) leave me not recommending people to stay here. read more

We aren't staying at the hotel part of Azulik, only ate at the restaurant. The decor, ambience, structural design was amazing. I've been to my fair share of restaurants with a reputation, theme, well-thought out design, but this was pretty impressive. The treehouse dining experience is not one to miss. That said... the food was meh. For a family party of four to have a $400-ish bill USD, sorry, it better be better than meh. The grilled shrimp in a poblano sauce was hands down the best meal. We also ordered two streak and potato plates, a fish of the day plate, a couple salads and desserts, few cocktails... and it was satisfactory. The decor and design though, along with stunning jungle views, was worth it. I might return to get just cocktail though next time. read more
Gorgeous resort in the Tulum beach area. It has a rainforest feel with woods all around. We came here for a yoga class at their spa. The yoga room was the most zen place I've ever practiced. Sergio, our teacher was patient, calm and excellent. We loved the class! I wish they didn't have strict rules for guests who aren't staying at the resort as we would have loved to checkout out the rooftop bar and other spots inside. I'd recommend the yoga experience. read more

So if you want to spend an exorbitant amount to take Instagram pictures, yeah you can do it here. But what do you do after that? -Sit in what was previously a hot tub, but now just a weird tub on your balcony with dirty, cold water that's only 1/2 full - Go to a roof top nest which is cool, but if it rained in the past week your seat is wet - sit on your balcony, if it has rained in the past week it's gonna be wet - watch your significant other stumble around on stick walkways - get you energy cleansed by a lady in sweatpants who clearly has had more than enough of her job - work out a bathroom schedule in your villa, since it's a stick room in the corner - sit on the bed under the only fan - stare at the ac unit in the room that's not hooked up yet - go look at the cool architecture they've built - drink on the beach and see the rusty mattress exposed from the cover that doesn't quite fit the day bed it's on -dig around your room at night looking for stuff in a room lit by 5 small candles It's a cool place, but don't do it just photoshop photos after your trip and act like you were there. There's better eco resorts (Pepem Eco Resort) where you get a great experience. read more

After following this place since the creation of Instagram, I've been obsessed. So, we booked 1 night in the least expensive room (which was $600) for the middle of our Tulum stay. It had rained for the 2 days prior to our arrival so, sure, some stuff is gonna be wet. But the first thing I saw when we waited at the beach "bar" for our room to be ready was a 1/2 covered, rusty old mattress hanging off of a "bungalow.." which they asked us if we wanted to lay on. LMAO! What?! We're pretty easy to please, so we opted to sit on the ground on the still absolutely soaked, but fully covered (likely dirty and rust stained) mattress in the sand and had some sub-par frozen drinks while we watched children frolic in the 20 ft of ocean shoreline at our no-children-allowed resort. We were then taken to our room, where - wow! A beautiful balcony! With a hot tub! Oh wait - no, just something that used to be a hot tub that was 1/3 full with dirty rainwater. But, we WERE encouraged to bathe in it. Hard pass. I did get pictures in the "museum," which is overcrowded with wanna-be Instagrammers and got a nice photo. We did enjoy watching ourselves and others also try to walk on the slippery, uneven wooden bridges. HOLD ON TO THE RAILINGS. oh and, don't wear heels. Not even thick ones. But - for those who do - they make for wonderful people watching. Aside from that.. what else? Oh, I had to lock him out of the room just to use the "bathroom" because it was just a glorified toilet in the corner of our room, 2 ft. from the bed, with the only separation between you and looking your partner in the eyes while you pee is widely-spaced sticks (you can definitely see each other). Maybe this is what they consider to be an intimate experience? The lack of fans in this room is laughable. The only fan in the room is an industrial fan hanging from the ceiling inside your bed curtain. Neat. My "birthday surprise dessert"... well, I'll just leave you a picture here. Couple of leftover berries and some crumbs thrown halfassed onto a plate. The night prior, we stayed at an Airbnb called the glass house, which was insanely amazing, and then here - My boyfriend was so traumatized by how bad this overpriced motel made of sticks was that he didn't trust the rest of our Airbnb's would be good. Now, as we sit in our absolutely stunning jungle hut at the Pepem Eco Resort after our private and insanely delicious dinner where they gave us a special 100% organically made tequila made especially for their resort to sip after our meal, his (and my) faith in good and beautiful places to stay in tulum has been restored! Just... just don't stay here. Save your money and stay 3 more days at way more beautiful places. Don't be like us, sipping a pitcher of the most delicious piña coladas we've ever had in our beautiful hut in the jungle, looking back and writing a review on this place so that hopefully nobody else makes this same mistake and stays here. read more

This was my 3rd time on vacation in Tulum and for this trip we figured we stayed at Azulik for two nights and it was a different experience this hotel details are insane and if you love talking really nice photos this is the place to stay , it's a quite hotel and pretty expensive so it's not much going on but it's great for photos ... Only thing I didn't like the rooms don't have Air conditioners and I'm the type that love to sleep in a nice cold room , note you also can't wear shoes in the rooms which was different but over all it was a dope experience and I would highly recommend at least staying one night here if your visit Tulum.... read more

This place has an amazing atmosphere and architecture. The food was okay. The main reason to come here is to take pictures with the cool tree house vibe and awesome views. The restaurant is high end, so prepare to spend some big dough. The food was cooked well and had good flavor, but lacked a wow factor that is expected from a high-end restaurant. The alcoholic drinks were very delicious and there was a good variety. The staff members were nice, overall. However, for an upscale restaurant, I expected better service. Staff forgot a plate and spoon for a member of the table on two separate occasions. Also, I did not like how the table was cleaned when a new meal arrived. It should have a happened before food was set on the table. read more

I left a google review and here I am for yelp. To warn everyone, there was a snake crawling on the bathroom column in the room. As you have seen plenty reviews, there was no light. The whole bathroom was lit by a candle, very dim. I looked up at the ceiling then I kinda saw something moving but I was not sure cause there was no light. 10 seconds in I realized it was a fucking snake. I panicked like there was no tomorrow, called the front desk and they came in 10mins later. If I didn't spot the snake, it could be in our suitcase or even our bed!!!!! When they were trying to catch it, the snake started to craw out of the ceiling towards the room!!! Me and my friend left Azulik in the middle of the night, traumatized and terrified. Azulik didn't pay for relocation nor refund our night. I was told this is what it is gonna cost you if you live in the jungle. Customer safety was never their priority. Room was not engineered or enclosed that's the reason snake was able to get in. No one would want this for this their vacation. Too scared to take pictures when they were catching the snake but here is their response. read more

Well not really sure where to start from but it's a hotel you will need to stay at even if it's for just one or two nights. You have no lights or tv . They come and turn on the candles for guests at night . Basically you are in a very big treehouse. It also gets very dark at night . read more
Nestled in the heart of the mayan beach of Tulum, Azulik is a one-of a kind resort everyone must experience when visiting the city of Tulum. Its bird type of nest designs will inspire you when visiting. When I visited Azulik, I did not stay in the resort, however, I did grab lunch with my girlfriends. We entered the resort through a bird nest type of paved way that leads up the restaurant. While walking up, we were greeted with a spiritual ritual type of experience and were led up to our table. I ordered octopus and my friends ordered other items in the menu, which were all great selections. My overall experience in Azulik is a 6+ stars (if I could). The service was fantastic and fast, the views were exquisite, the food was beyond and artistic. I will definitely come to Azulik during my next visit in Tulum. read more

Ok honestly 3.5 stars. This place is so beautiful, it is legit a tree house. BUT!! This means the floor is shaped and built like twigs. You have to watch your step, which would be fine but the lights were sooooo dim. I do not recommend wearing heels, coming from experience. Then, our table was on the floor. We had chairs with no legs, the aesthetic was cute, but we were not prepared. We were all wearing dresses and heels, and it was a real struggle to get up and down let alone walk. We could hardly see anything, even the lights in the bathroom were off. The service and food was immaculate, the drinks were ok, but the light made it so hard to deal with that. Kin Toh: If you are on a tight budget for Tulum this probably isn't the best place for you. I went in with low expectations since everyone was saying the food was not good. I feel like my experience couldn't have been further from that! The view and the whole vibe inside is something out of a movie. We decided to rent the a nest and it was so worth it for me. You get the best for 5 hours but there is a fee. I believe it was $500 but you split it with the table. We ordered some apps and got the risotto....get the risotto. My main was the gulf shrimp, wasn't bad at all. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Tulum if they are looking for a one of a kind experience. read more
