Dream Hotel Diamante K direct on the beach, courteous and attentive staff The Diamante K Hotel is a dream! You are right on the beach, the rooms are very good and the staff is very courteous, friendly and attentive. The Maya Tulum Archaeological Zone is close by and other awesome beaches can be found along this coast. Overnight rates can be high, depending on the room. There are only other hotels and resorts in the vicinity. But bicycles are available to rent, if you want to go into town or to the Mayan site.

My trip to Tulum was not planned thoroughly, I found Diamante K on my AMEX rewards as a place I could use my points on. All I knew was it was right by the water. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised this place is BEAUTIFUL and fully incorporates the nature it is surrounded by into its overall decor. I loved the walkways, and little mayan figurines all around. This hotel is located inside a forest and the entrance is closed at night must have your hotel key to get in. When I arrived the front desk guy was so friendly and nice. He even gave me a map so that I could go tour the cenotes by myself instead of a pricey tour guide. One this I was not aware of is that my little hut did NOT come with a bathroom lol. That kinda threw me but the public shower was a step away from my room. I stayed for 3 days and never had an issue with using the public bathroom. I loved the room tho, the canopy adds a sexy touch. And the beach is literally a 3 minute walk away, They have cabanas and hammocks right by the ocean for visitors to sit and watch the night sky. That was jy favorite part I slept on a cabbana one night just chilling and listening to the waves, This hotel is centrally located, it's 5 minutes from the Mayan Ruins (although they were closed :( ) and about a 10 minute ride into downtown tulum. It is also like 10 minutes from Cenotes Calavera. It's the perfect location, I loved how easy it was to navigate. They only downside was the food was nasty, I ordered a burger well done and it came out pink. And the no air conditioner is a hassle when you're trying to do your makeup in the daytime. But besides that I loved this place would come again and get a room with a bathroom.

One of the many nights I constantly messaged the front desk and not hearing back.

Hated hated hated this place!! Location was away from dinning. It's next to a national park, so getting back to the hotel at night was scary for a group of girls. You have to check in with some armed guards and tell them your staying at the hotel and show them a key. I had friends staying at another hotel and they were not allowed to get through because they were not guest at our hotel. So annoying! Aside from that, we had bugs in our room every single day!! I know it's a jungle but my friend stayed at Hotelito Azul and their room had ZERO bugs!!!! Anyway, they used very harsh chemicals to get rid of them. We waited outside our room at night to air out the room. It was harsh. I wouldn't stay here again!! Don't waste your money.

Just got home from a 7 day stay at the hotel. We absolutely loved it we had our own private balcony and the room was great! The staff was all so nice and they were constantly cleaning the beach The location is more north which means you have to travel to the main area but also means less people and traffic getting in and out to areas like downtown. The food at the restaurant was all very good and the cocktails were well crafted. Keep in mind, this place is not some time share resort so don't expect it to be. It's almost halfway unplugged No AC but fans were silent and perfectly fine.. we slept great Got a little sandy in the room on windy days but the cleaning crew would have that fixed in no time There is occasion bugs but you're in the jungle so what do you expect Oh and they have parking right out front that we never had an issue parking our car in.

On our last night in Tulum we decided to have dinner here and it was a main highlight of our trip. Being on the hotel strip, there are many places to eat. However, the many places to eat are either over priced or hole in the walls but not authentic cuisine. If you want authentic, you have to go into the town of Tulum. At Diamanté K, they did not disappoint! Fair prices, a huge menu selection and extremely delicious food. Our server Marco was excellent. We had the most gorgeous and delicious ceviche, fried plantains and lobster... and don't forget the drinks! With your feet in the sand and that amazing view, it was the best dining experience on the strip we had. We went to Ziggys, LaZebra and ARCA but this was our favorite. Don't miss out on this place!

Beautiful staff, quiet beach. Simple housing. The food is very desirable, delicious juice & smoothies, and lots of healthy options. The coffee is tasty in the mornings. service at 8am -9pm This is not a party resort, but rather a beautiful and quiet place to enjoy the magic of tulum. The beach seating and access to morning sunrise is incredible. I will be back and cherished every moment of it!

We got into Tulum in the middle of January. It was supposed to be the dry season, but the forecast was rain straight through the week. We had booked one of the larger spaces at Diamante K with a king bed. It was pouring when we arrived and one guest at the check-in desk was visibly upset about something. After he was helped, we were shown to our room. The room was very small - only comfortable for one person. The bed was maybe a double? It was clearly not what we paid for. More significantly, the floor was full of water. There was a sizable puddle in the corner and water was flowing from the palapa ceiling, down the walls (near electrical cords, etc, no less). The bed was soaked with water. There were dirty towels on the floor and no toilet paper. I suspect that the angry guest before us had abandoned the unit we were given. We abandoned Diamante K for the night (we thankfully had decided to rent a car when we saw the forecast) and booked a last-minute room in town, which was deliciously dry. Now, Diamante K has a supposedly no-refund policy. They have a laundry list of things that you "agree" to when you stay there. In the morning we got in touch with the fella in charge and demanded a refund. Diamante K was not apologetic about the water issues and kinda shrugged our issues off. It is "eco tourism" after all, so they expect you to be OK being one with the elements, I suppose. They did, however, concede to a full refund. After receiving the refund he explained that the palapa roofs only last about four years and that many were due to be replaced. I suppose they were not expecting rain in the dry season and perhaps had put it off. In any event, it is apparent that many of the units have significant, chronic water issues. Eco-tourism is often used as a cover to provide cheap accommodations at inflated prices. We ultimately ended up staying at Dune for the rest of our trip. They have concrete roofs.

Me and my husband came here for our honeymoon, The staff here was seriously AMAZING! They were so sweet, the food at their restaurant was really good! The bad thing was my room, it was very small very hot and I got bite ALOT I killed a crab, tarantula, grasshoppers, spiders like no other. My bed sheets were not clean at all the cover was really dirty and always had spiders on them. To top it off we got food poisoning from a buffet we ate from and we had to cut our honeymoon short because being sick and In that room was not comfortable at all. The beach water stinked really bad there was alot of kelp the water wasnt even clear it was brown. The only great thing here to me was again the staff and the restaurant food.

We were given the information about the property and all the amenities as well as given a tour and then shown to our room, typically when you first arrive, they perform a greeting cleanse to, clear energy, set your vibe and give you a little taste of the beautiful Mayan cultural traditions. Unfortunately, when we were shown over to the location where they perform the energy cleanse no one was there so they said we'd have to come back the next day which never ended up happening. Finally, moments before we were checking out we asked if it was possible just to see what the experience was like before we left. That part was actually really good, especially after our experience staying here for six days, which will make sense by the end of this review. When we checked in, it was already dark out but the design and lighting as well as the bio inspired architecture which fuses art in nature was pretty cool to see. They only give you one key for your room for some odd reason, it was a little inconvenient because it meant that me and my wife had to be together at all moments and couldn't explore or do services separately without the hassle of having to meet up to share the key, or the other option is to go walk all the way to the front desk, which, although the walk is beautiful, the design of the floor is made out of a bunch of branches for the walkway and is very difficult to navigate, especially at night so walking turned out to be more of a hassle, but that's just me being nit-picky. The other option is you can reach out to your concierge and then they can send someone which means you're waiting sometimes 5 to 10 minutes, again very small minor inconveniences but nonetheless adds up when staying there for six days. It definitely has an effect on the overall appeal and serenity that one would expect from a place like this. The room itself had two very small shelf like closets definitely not enough hangers or space to accommodate both of our very limited wardrobe that we brought. I had to put 2 to 3 shirts on one hanger and hang the pants inside and that's literally all I brought other than T-shirts and socks and underwear and one pair of nice shoes I literally packed very minimal and still didn't have enough space... again very small inconvenience but nonetheless 20 different small inconveniences all fused together to make one kind of annoying overall experience. Now I can say that I have mixed feelings about the minimal electricity and necessity to use tea candles for our lighting, but I respect the sustainability aspect of it and it did make very nice environment and mood. The only downside is they tell you that you don't blow the candles out and you can leave them on overnight and we had one explode right next to our heads and over all of our bathroom essentials. The shower is right in the middle there's no protection for water so it gets all over the floor, I nearly slipped a few times because of it. Probably sounds nit picky, but these are things I believe make it or break it for places like this. We experienced some type of mishap daily. We ordered hot water and they brought a dirty used coffee pot. They left the dirty brush in the toilet area. Didn't pick it up until the following day. Asked us if we could place it outside the door. Took forever to bring blankets. They got maybe 8/10 requests wrong and charged us for some and denied that, so wasn't able to get a refund. wasn't much, but principally speaking it's horrible feeling in the midst of many things going wrong. Atmosphere - 90% (small weird sewage smell almost everywhere except the room) Vibe - 80% Cost - 75% should be more enjoyable for the price imo... i dont mind paying extra for experience when its on point Food - 60% (first meal, room-service, was incredible {and cost matched that} every other meal on property lacked in all ways except the sushi which we enjoyed as a snack before going to dinner off site. Really over priced in general but the experience and design makes it palatable. Service - 2 stars overall (except for our concierge who had to deal with her associates lack of professionalism and incredible number of mistakes made each day). Location/architecture,view - 100 (If it wasn't for the sound of the ocean slapping the rocks below our balcony and the sound of the waves soothing us at night, waking up to the most amazing view from bed facing the ocean and the sunrise and also the sunsets each night with a great breeze and insane temperatures than this trip would probably have been all bad. My suggestion. Book 1-2 nights for the location and view then find a better spot elsewhere.

There are no concierge reliably onsite. You are given a WhatsApp number to text and sometimes they can be very slow to respond. First issue I ran into was the concierge's lack of punctuality and poor communication regarding bike rentals. She promised a bike at 8am but 15 mins before the agreed upon time texted me that she could not follow through. I agreed to wait until 10 but was delayed a second time until 11. The second delay was not even communicated to me without my prompting. See chat screenshots. The main issue was my balcony was flooded by careless guests upstairs who left their outdoor tub running (see pic). I was splashed and had to change. My phone also got wet and I could not charge it for the rest of the night until it dried. I could have had other valuables such as electronics out that could have been irreparably damaged and I could not use either loungers, which were soaking wet for the rest of the day/night. The water ran for 10 mins before hotel staff could stop it. No one came to clean my balcony. However, most disappointing was the concierge's refusal to take accountability for the incident (again, see screenshots). I would have been happy with a complementary margarita but instead was completely dismissed. I asked to speak to a manager on site and was told there were none. I asked for an email address or phone number and was given only the reservation email address. I detailed my experience in an email and waited 2 weeks before righting this review. No one replied. It is my experience that guests' conduct at the hotel is within the control and part of the hotel's responsibility and that top tier hospitality establishments, which I had assumed Azulik to be, value customer satisfaction and have accountability. I was sadly wrong.

Located right on the coast, Habitas is a remarkable example of natural preservation and a quintessential way to experience Tulum the way it's supposed to be. This private jungle oasis is easily approachable from the main road, with staff directing guests where to park, which is along the street. The tents are very comfortable and the AC was sufficient despite intense summer heat. All the amenities are there. One of the best things is that there are no problems with bugs inside the tent as long as you are careful in keeping the doctor closed. Evenings are filled with noises of nature, including coati that love to frequent the roof of the tent and patio. There is pure magic to that, being surrounded not just by jungle plants, but animals too. Yet, it is something to keep in mind for some guests: do not expect a Marriott or a Hilton. This is a very real nature hotel. The restaurant is amazing and the design is very slick. Staff are attentive and helpful at all times. There is a nice little bar as well. Prices are high, but reasonable for Tulum relative to other hotels. The main area that was a little disappointing was the cleanliness of the pool. The water was greasy and borderline murky looking. Thus, this was the only real downside of the property. The pool is tiny as well. The hotel does allow outside guests to pay money and visit, so that does not help with keeping the pool clean and is the only reason I cannot give 5 stars. The beach, while swimmable, was loaded up with seaweed in early summer. The staff did an amazing job trying to clean up the seaweed, but it felt like an impossible task as they worked most of the day, yet more seaweed kept coming. As a whole, a remarkable property that I can recommend with no hesitation.

Every room has an outdoor seating area (some larger than others) so you can enjoy the ocean - which is only steps away as La Conchita is located right on the beach. It was so amazing to be lulled asleep every night by the loud, crashing waves. The property is no frills - there's no on-site spa, bar, or restaurant. But there's a beach club literally right next door which you can order from while enjoying La Conchita's private (and complimentary to guests) palapas and beach mattresses. There are also massages available in the beach area for a reasonable price - we saw many people partaking of them while we were there. Our room itself was big, bright, and comfortable. The bed was luxurious, the bathroom small-but-clean; and the room contained all the basic amenities we could need for our short visit: a small fridge to keep the beers cold, and a Nespresso machine for morning coffee. Our unit (#5) faced the beach directly, and we spent lots of time on our patio, watching the waves crash and the palm trees blow in the breeze. There are also several restaurants and bars lining the street, all within walking distance. Our favorite was Potheads, and elevated coffee shop with delicious food (and espresso, of course). We also dined at the tapas bar next door and it was delicious. They also offer a 10% discount to La Conchita guests for breakfast and dinner. When we left La Conchita we both agreed we can't wait to go back here on our next trip to the area!
