My family and I came here mainly for the fried shrimp cakes. The fried shrimp cakes here taste great! And when we visit this place, we always order extra shrimp cakes to take home. The staff are very attentive. They greet you once you enter, and they had us seated immediately after. They take drink orders first and come back in a little while with the drinks and check if you're ready to order. The place is also well lit and very clean. The decor of the place is inviting. If you come here to eat, you have to try their fried shrimp cakes!
Surprise meal here. We actually didn't know this was here and was supposed to go somewhere else but I am glad we did. Plenty of parking spaces but this place is not as busy as other Pho places but that's too bad. No real service but they will assist. You order from a kiosk. Small place. Good fried egg rolls, good and strong Vietnamese iced coffee. Pho Ga Tom chicken and pork broth with chicken and shrimp were very good flavors. I would definitely get this again. The Pho beef noodle soup was ok but I like what I got better. Also, ordered their strawberry smoothie but it's more of a very sweet blended drink. I wish it had milk. Won't get that again. **Overall: 3.5 stars ** Pho the perfect food to eat when it's cold out! Hot Pho's price point is right, and the flavor is as expected. I could have had the broth a little hotter, but other than that, everything was spot on: the portion for "medium" was good, tables were clean, food came out in a timely manner, utensils were self-serve. The staff were welcoming. The only downside was there was a problem checking out, so we had to wait til the cash register was fixed before we could leave. This may not have taken as long as it felt but it felt like it was longer than it took to eat! If they can fix these technical kinks, I'd love to return and give it a higher rating.
Solid spot for Vietnamese food in Dublin. My friend and I were looking for a quick dinner spot and this was perfect! We stopped by Saturday evening around 7:30 pm and it wasn't busy at all. The menu is pretty standard with a variety of Vietnamese dishes like pho, other noodle soups, rice and vermicelli plates, and a large selection of non-alcoholic drinks. For all the noodle soups, I appreciated you can choose the size, either a small, medium, or large bowl. I went with #24 - the hu tieu rice noodle soup, which was $12.25 for a small bowl. I liked everything about the noodle soup except for the boiled chicken breast pieces, which I found incredibly dry and flavorless. I ate maybe two pieces before I gave up, but unfortunately they put a lot of chicken in the soup... I ordered the hu tieu because I wanted fish cake and shrimp, but I wouldn't get this again. My friend got #50 - the grilled chicken with vermicelli ($14.95) and really enjoyed it. I ate a couple pieces of his chicken since my own chicken was so disappointing, and it was so good! Very juicy and flavorful. We were in and out of here in a little under 30 minutes, which was perfect for us as we were trying to make it to some stores afterwards before they closed.
Came in for lunch on a Friday afternoon about 1pm, got sat when I walked in. Fresh Spring Rolls with Shrimp & Pork, the pork had a gamey taste. Pho Noodle Soup with Rare Steak & Beef Meatballs, the broth was blend. Had to add lots of hoisin sauce. Service was lacking a little with about 3 to 4 tables.
We were at the Livermore outlet area and wanted for a quick lunch spot. This is located in a plaza with parking. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Our food came out fairly quickly. Ordered #2 Dac Biet Large ($15.25). It came out piping hot. Broth was good and it comes with a decent amount of meat but lacking in the pho noodles. The noodles were a bit overcooked and it had an interesting taste that I can't describe.
I'm in the area shopping and wanted some Pho. We drove past this restaurant a few times in the past but haven't had the chance to stop by. We decided to give this place a try. It's a small and quaint place, the staff were super friendly. This is a legit Vietnamese cuisine spot, the egg rolls are on point and the broth was decent. The only reason I didn't give it more stars is because the broth was skimpy. The broth was just enough to cover the noodles, so my garnishes didn't even cook through and I had a lot of fatty meat. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area but I'll probably try something else on the menu. The egg rolls is a must, give it a try!
Wanted to give this place a try. Inside was clean and neat. Staffs were professional. The shrimp cake was excellent. The pho had way too few pieces of beef in it in my opinion. But, overall a good experience.
Hot Pho was the place my friend and I landed on after looking for a new restaurant (for us) to try that's also kid-friendly (or food her kids' would approve of). I would give this place a solid 3.5. I'd say it's pretty solid for Dublin that seems to lack a bit of variety, cuisine wise. Our party arrived around 6PM and thankfully, Hot Pho was located in a plaza, so no need to worry about parking. We shared their Fried Fish Cake appetizer and each of us ordered our own meal. For myself, I opted to try their Com Suon Bi (#32 Grilled Pork Chop & Shredded Skin w/ Rice). Our appetizer came fairly quickly and it turned out pretty good! Their fish cakes are pretty decent sized slices and they gave a fair amount. It's crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The kids seem to absolutely love this dish. As for the mains, the rice plates were kinda massive (or maybe it's the plate they used that's massive). They included a small side of plain veggies like usual. What kind of surprised me was how nicely cooked their rice was. Like each grain of rice looked like individual grains of rice and not clumpy. My favorite part of the dish would have to be the shredded pork skin though. There's a bit of pork mixed into it, but overall the pork skin is slightly chewy and gelatinous. It's almost like noodles that were just cooked and laid out to dry a little, but without the soup, haha, and it was not clumpy. Even my friend's kids seemed to enjoy it! Last but not least, on my plate - the pork chop. Initially, I thought my plate came with two pieces, but it was actually a giant, thin slab of pork, bones and all. It was full of flavor. I think the pork is a little dry because it's thin, but the sauce or marinade helps a lot! I also enjoyed my side of comforting soup. All in all, we enjoyed our meal here. A bit mediocre overall, but pretty solid for Dublin in my opinion. Service was okay. Friendly, but lacking interaction other than taking our order, serving food, and giving us our check.
It's a warm Friday afternoon, popular restaurants nearby have queues out their doors. Whereas, this place has plenty of table, no waiting needed. It was also a place I haven't visited in the past. Not necessary a recipe for selecting a place for lunch. Friendly person greeting me and led me to a table. Recently had pho, so I narrowed my choice on the vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and fried spring roll. This dish comes with a bowl of broth along with fish sauce. It didn't take long for the food. The broth was alright, though not memorable, sorry to say. I want to preference this review that I wanted to like this place but found many things that I couldn't overlook. The grilled pork didn't appear to be grilled as it wasn't grill charred or texture just didn't have grilled consistency; and the noodles weren't vermicelli. Despite the food discrepancies, the service was friendly and cordial, my order was promptly taken, water glass refilled and check brought to my table at the appropriate time. Since it's named Hot Pho, I should have stuck to pho. Perhaps next time..
Average pho spot in the Dublin area. Parking: shared parking lot with other businesses but plenty of spots. Ambiance: simple and clean interior. A solid spot to enjoy pho with family. Service: above average. We were seated immediately and served waters. Order to food arrival time was short. The restaurant was adequately staffed and everyone was friendly. Food: average. (3/5). I ordered the seafood pho and the broth was a bit salty. I ended up driving a few glasses of water after I got home. We also ordered the pork and shrimp spring roll and my husband got the combination beef pho. He liked his selection but the peanut sauce that came with the spring roll seemed a bit different than what we are used to, color was a much darker brown and the taste was off. Portion size was reasonable relative to the cost of each dish. I don't think we will make a return trip in the future as we don't live around the area and the food didn't really wow us.
Service was quick Staff was very friendly. Ambiance was casual yet upscale for a pho place. Food was delicious. Ordered the Grilled Beef rice place, it was delicious, the beef was tender and the egg roll was crispy. Grilled Pork Chop rice plate was good too. Especially liked the shrimp roll. Will come again.
Saw this place and was surprised that Amazing Basil was no more. Decided to give it a try and got a #45 grilled shrimp and pork with vermicelli to go. I liked the flavors and decided I'd go back for another visit. Re-visited the establishment on a windy and cold day so we had cravings for pho. I ordered a medium sized #7 rare steak and brisket. Wifey got #6 rare steak, tendon and tripe. She was hungry as she started eating right away so I lost my opportunity to snap a good photo. Doh! I liked my pho. The soup did not have an intense flavor, but was good enough and wifey said she didn't detect any MSG (or it was very little that there was barely any trace). She did notice that the noodles were sturdier - like they didn't break easily. Furthermore, the noodle did not absorb much of the soup. I'm not sure if that was an improved version of noodles or it was just way too processed and ... unnatural. Lol. We also ordered the fried fish cake. Not quite what we expected, but not too bad. I think wifey wanted the fried shrimp cake. All good - we'll get it next time. I like to support small local businesses and we certainly would go back to visit again. There was not a lot of customers dine-in or to-go when we were there so we're concerned that this place may not last long. Hopefully this place can survive as it has great potential. read more

Hot Pho opens in Amazing Basil and A Cup of's vacated space. same interior, same infrastructure. no upgrades, no decor. only a change of signage outside and a change of menu inside. offerings: pho, appetizers, side orders, pho ga, special seafood soups, rice plates, vermicelli, beverages. eats: pho tai gan (m. 12.50) -server doesn't seem to understand the menu. waited till i pointed # to her. -never saw her again till i got the check. she spend the morning filling up the "thick soy sauce" and chili sauce bottles. -broth wasn't very beefy, had a overabundance of sweetness. no msg/sodium aftertastes. had the usual dressings of bean sprouts, basil, & lemon squeeze. broth had onions, cilantro. -5 pieces of tai (beef) was cut in a strange shape, had a chewy texture. different kind of beef? gan (tendon) was tender, also 5ish pieces. mostly larger pieces, no tiny ones. -pho here seems slightly different. maybe so since i haven't ate pho in years. 3.5 stars reasonable amount of quality ingredients. noodles seem less than others. prices looked higher than old style pho places. take outs: -large parking lot -never heard the server speak Vietnamese, spoke another Asian language. -like most Vietnamese eateries, there isn't any service beyond taking orders, bringing food, then bringing check. here the kitchen staff brought out the food. server made the drinks. read more

First time at this place. Got a small and large Ti B Vin (16) pho very good. Also ordered the fried egg rolls shrimp and pork not pictured which were good as well. Ordered the peach green tea which wasn't my favorite had an artificial after taste but after I told them they compensated us for it which was very nice of them. Also not pictured Taro milk tea, this one was very good! Will be coming back again. read more

Not sure how I feel about this place yet. I liked the fish cakes, the Vietnamese egg rolls not so much. I did like how they made their rice, nice and fluffy. Cup of soup was also nice. Overall they're a bit on the pricier side though but then again, so is everywhere else! The real test for me will be their bowl of pho and pork chop rice plate that I will try to get next time. FYI: they have their own website where you can order for pick up if you don't like to use 3rd party apps. read more

1st time here. Soup base is good. Soup temperature was nice and HOT. They lived up to their name - whew! I ordered beef and tribe pho but my bowl showed up hella fast without the tribe. I kindly let the waitress know and she was very apologetic about it. Came back out with a small bowl filled with tribe and soup to makeup for what was missing. Rice plates were decent. My teen son and hubby liked it. Overall, soup base is good, very flavorful and tasty. I will come back again and try other options. Restaurant is not too big inside so if its busy there might be a wait. read more

It's quiet, and it's very inviting. Not to mention, the guy at the front smiles as soon as the door opens with a helpful attitude. I ordered #28 soup, and it was good! It reminds me of Bún Bò Huế soup. The friendly spot is a place to enjoy hot soup on a cold day. I recommend it! read more

Conveniently located in Fallon, this is my go to place for Vietnamese lunch. Service is always quick and efficient. The pho and the rice meals are tasty and the right temperature. And, the restaurant vibe invites small group, family gathering. read more
This is our second time to come eat and this time we ordered vermicelli instead of the soup. We had one chicken with shrimp and one beef with shrimp. Both are very good. The meat is tender and tasty, and with the sauce, the vermicelli and lettuces are so satisfying for a hot summer food. We will definitely come back!! read more

Living in Dublin for a couple of years, I've looked for good pho noodle restaurants. Hot Pho opened at the Fallon shopping center 5 months ago and it's good compared to other places in the area. The soup base is very good. They have sriracha and not the knock off brand hot sauces. The large bowl order is actually pretty large. I got the rare steak, brisket and flank and the meats were of good fatty quality. I will definitely be back! read more

Middle of the road pho. Good for a pinch but not going to be my go to place. ($10.50) Egg rolls get small and not very flavorful. Dipping sauce and pickled veggies all seem like they lacked sugar to balance the salt. ($14.50) Pho broth was similar in that it was salty but no sweetness layered in. I didn't mind that as much but normally when pho cools the broth gets sweeter so just reaffirmed for me that sugar was missing. I usually use hoisin sauce and chili sauce. The hoisin was super thick and just weird. I did see others order their plates instead of pho and those all looked very appetizing. I didn't order any drink... all the milk tea type drinks were $6 and a can of soda was $2.50 read more

My first time being here. I ordered the seafood pho. The taste for me was okay. It was a little bland. I had to add fish sauce just to get a good taste. I'll come here again to try the beef pho. The service was good and very clean restaurant. read more
