Hot Bagels N More - Nice place and people - Bagels Near Me - Verona, New Jersey

Solid. Stopped by on a Saturday around 10:15am and they were pretty empty - we grabbed a cinnamon raisin with scallion CC and an everything whole wheat with egg and cheese. Total was around $10 and change - it was pretty quick which was appreciated! I don't remember if they had any seating but parking is super easy and it's pretty close to us so we would stop back in again! read more

Came here for a breakfast sandwich on a Tuesday morning. Had a hard time understanding the person who was taking my order. Then I asked for it on a croissant and they charged me extra. They could improve more. It's decent! Not my first choice read more

Door dashing from this restaurant is a complete scam. I placed an order and paid and when my DoorDash got to the restaurant, they claimed they weren't on DoorDash and refused to give him food. I called the restaurant and they went back-and-forth with me for over five minutes saying that I was wrong telling you to calm down and saying that they weren't on DoorDash if you would like to fund a complete scam restaurant that steals your money go ahead. read more

Annoyed. Help did not understand English. Then they charged me 1.50 to have my mayo on the side but didn't tell me.

Got a plain bagel with bacon, egg and cheese to eat while I waited for my dog to finish her grooming!!! As soon as you walk in you smell all that goodness in the air. Staff was busy with lots of orders. But they got to me quickly. They were friendly. Place was spacious and clean. They even had turkey bacon, most places don't even carry it so that was a plus too. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

Stopped by today on my way home to check out the breakfast sandwiches. I looked through some of the reviews with people complaining about price and food not good but I was suprised at how good my bacon egg and cheese sandwich was. There was just the right amount of bacon which is perfect. The bagel was fresh and tasty, this spot is super close to where I live so I will be back! read more

Hot Bagels N More - a bagel sandwich on a plate - Bagels Near Me - Verona, New Jersey

This place has horrendous service. $1.50 for a side of hot sauce out of their minds after I just spent $40 on bagels and drinks

Bagels are alright, but expensive. I was charged $17 and change for a dozen bagels. Check out NY Bagel Cafe or Bagel Box down the street on Bloomfield Ave. Their bagels are just as good and larger, for less. read more

Great service & bagels. Staff is super friendly & fast. They also have the best taylor ham and cheese sandwiches in existence.

Today I stopped in for a bagel with vegetable cream cheese. It was the worst bagel I ever had and the veggie cream cheese was terrible. It was a poppy seed bagel with very little poppy seeds on it. A first for me, I didn't eat the second half of the sandwich. I properly found a home for it in the garbage. read more

There's few things I enjoy more than a pleasant surprise. On our way to meet our accountant in Verona, my wife and I wanted to stop for bagels in the area. Taking to the trusty Yelp, I found Hot Bagels N More. At a 3.5 star rating, I pretty much expected your typical NJ bagel mediocrity. But to my surprise, HBNM definitely proved to be an above average experience. First off, the bagels are crispy on the outside, but light and fluffy on the inside. That's the way I like it. You don't feel like you ate a bowling ball after eating a bagel here. And the everything bagels are perfectly seasoned on both sides of the bagel. (Don't get me started on bagels that only have stuff on one side.) My sausage, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich was pretty much perfect as far as these standard issue items go. My wife ordered a sesame bagel and got talked into upgrading from plain cream cheese to their veggie cream cheese -- and boy, was she happy she did. The second measure of a great bagel joint is their cream cheese, and more specifically, their veggie cream cheese. My wife and I love a light, airy whipped cream cheese (think Temptee). And we love when a veggie cream cheese has lots of actual veggie chunks in it. Well, check and check here at HBNM. It is delicious. The third measure of a great bagel joint is the service, and the service here at HBNM could not be more friendly and accommodating. Just place your order, sit down, wait for them to bring it out, and pay when you're all done. As far as bagel places go, Hot Bagels N More just goes that extra little distance to stand out from the pack. All in all, a great find. If you're in the area, give them a try. read more

We go to the gym within the same strip mall but will drive over on a weekend past multiple bagel places just for theirs. The bagels are delicious, as are the cream cheese spreads. The sandwiches for lunch are huge and very well priced - they also give pickle and a side salad no extra charge. The counter staff is usually older teens and young 20-something but they are exceptionally nice and actually give me some hope that not all kids their age are rude and unwilling to work hard!! This place is a rip off. A RIP OFF. I don't know how 3 bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwiches and 3 juices came to almost 29 bucks. I was in a rush so I didn't even ask the guy why is my total so high. I was told 27'and some change and then they charge my card 28 and some change, and unfortunately I never got a receipt to dispute the card charge. Eh whatever, the best way to pay back businesses that are rip offs like this, is to just never ever go back and to just word of mouth warn people about them. So its ok. As long as nobody I know goes here its fine. I will not step foot in here again. No wonder they don't have prices listed next to their menu items. Bc they make it up as they go along for each patron. Then when they get a sucker (like myself) they charge an asinine amount for breakfast sandwich SMH. This place is non existent to me forever. Ps: i cant comment about the quality of food bc i didnt try their highly expensive bagel sandwich as I bought it for others! read more

I was very pleased that the person taking my order put gloves on prior to touching the food. Problem: she put gloves on and touched the raw Taylor Ham and then with the same gloves reached into bagel bin and took out my three bagels. OMG! You can keep your food poisoning and bagels. I canceled the order and left. The board of health should shut them down. Touching raw pork and then touching my bagel with same gloves hands. NASTY!!! read more

The last straw was getting a sandwich with "hash browns" and they throw a frozen McDonalds-like disc in the fryer. They have 5 people behind the counter and they can't cut up some potatoes. Also, an egg-sandwich with bacon "and hash browns" with an iced-coffee cost $9.57. If I wanted crap food, I'd go to Burger King closer to my house and pay half the price... Absolute last time I go back... I'd rather make 2 scrambled eggs with water than drive there and pay $9.57 for what I got. read more

I would give this place zero if I could. Way to slow orders wrong and inability to make grilled chicken without it being a big problem. Get it off the menu then. I would not have gone here so much if it was not so close but we now drive out of our way to avoid this place. Can't wait for a management change. To me this place has been getting worse over the past two or three years. read more

We stopped going there. We spent about $20-25 there EVERY Saturday or Sunday...3 or 4 sandwich, drinks etc.. They charge me 25 cents for each credit card transaction..."take that for buying lots of food from us!"...real nickel & dime place, not customary. Also charge the same price for lox with cc or lox without cc even u don't order cc??? not customary, leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Food is decent but can't say they value their repeat customers. read more

Hot Bagels is just down the street so going here is an easy decision. That said, I would certainly drive a longer ways if I needed to. They have above-average bagels, good coffee and a full-service deli. Staff is friendly and efficient and the place is full of regulars. read more

I go here almost every day for my coffee. Sometimes I'll get a turkey sandwich or a bacon egg and cheese. All of the people that work there are really nice, the food is good, they use good quality meats on their sandwiches. The prices are reasonable, and I rarely wait more than a a couple minutes for my order. There's plenty of parking. Not sure what more I could ask for. read more

I used to live down the street so I would always come by for some breakfast sandwiches or bagels. This is a good option for those wanting a sandwich and not looking to spend too much at Kings Supermarket next door (what a rip-off). There really aren't too many sandwich places in the area (Subway just opened down the street), so this place hits the spot when you aren't sure what you want. They have a deli counter where they slice Boar's Head cold cuts and cheeses for sandwiches. They also have what looks like very fresh pasta salads. Their menu is quite extensive. They have great lunch time specials. I have eaten wraps here in addition to my usual taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a toasted everything bagel. All very good. The service is very fast, but the guys just aren't always customer friendly (maybe its because they are up so early to make bagels). read more

I order from Hot Bagels N More almost every week for work. The location is so convenient ( right next door from the gym). The employees are so welcoming and helpful! This is my go to spot for a quick breakfast pick up. read more

I really like this place and miss coming here! I used to frequent this deli when I lived in Verona! The food is good and the service is even better! I made friends with nearly every person working here and they always treat me well! The owner, named Alex, is a really nice guy and seems to take pride in the business and keep everyone's work morale at a high! As far as food goes, definite try the breakfast burrito!! My only constructive criticism I have for the place is that I believe they should adopt the Jersey-famous Sloppy Joe sandwich to the menu. I'll give these guys 5 stars nonetheless because they are one solid deli! read more

Blech. They consistently screw up your order. Sandwiches aren't bad, but ask for anything to be adjusted on your sandwich...or worse, ask for it on a bagel...something, somehow, it is just not going to be right. Just skip it. Or keep it simple, VERY simple, and get here in the morning. Employees seem to get disgruntled as the day progresses. read more

Huge doughy bagels, not saying its bad but 2 stars because its just not my style.

Great bagels. While the staff are 20 something college students, they're friendly and helpful. Highly reccomended.

This place is solid. Good food and good bagels. I go here twice a week for a breakfast wrap. Nice staff and it's clean.

Great bagels!! I always take them to school whenever I can't pack lunch from home! Strongly recommend!!

I have been going to this bagel spot for ages. Looks like recently they changed ownership. Young rude staff, prices not posted like before. I paid $15 for an mediocre omelette this morning which is double what the old owner used to charge. On top of that they had big signs posted that credit cards wouldn't be any longer accepted after March 15th, 2018. My advice to you is to clean up the attitude, accept credit cards and post honest prices because if you don't you will be out of business. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Usually my go to bagel spot for delivery in the area. Recently things have been off, maybe new management or just growing poor attitudes.... I placed an order today for delivery and was missing an item, when I called to ask for a refund for the one item I was told that I was "lying" and that everything was put in the bag multiple times. I've never had an issue with this store until today and this blindsided me. I honestly thought that this would be a quick fix and exchange of apology, but that didn't happen and I won't be continuing my business here any longer. read more

I have been getting a dozen bagels for the staff each week. Alex and his staff are the best and his bagels are by far the best...according to all the Montclair High School staff and students who enjoy them. Keep up the great work Alex. Andrew Evangelista read more

I was in there this past weekend after my daughters gymnastics! We are in every Saturday, but I will bring my business elsewhere. We ordered 4 sandwiches 2 were breakfast sandwiches, one a lunch item and one just a bagel. I have a Verona discount card where you can get 50% off one breakfast sandwich if one is purchased. It doesn't specify it has to be the same. They didn't give me the discount because one wasn't exactly the same, but it was still a breakfast sandwich. They said it had to be the same exact one. It's not what is on the discount card. I asked if the girl was sure and she asked one of her co workers and they said yes. I said I don't believe that is right. So, I will go elsewhere even though I live 2 streets down and will tell everyone I know how dishonest they are. read more

Great BLT on a sesame bagel. Came with chips and Mac salad all for four bucks.

My order gets messed up EVERY time!! So annoying!

Good lunch deals! (Panini, sandwich, or wrap), pickle, side of mac salad, and french fries for $8.75. The Capri Panini and the Lauren wraps are delicious. Plus free delivery if you spend over $10 read more
