Visited a friend in the neighborhood who highly recommended the Lox bagel at this place. We got the lox on sundried tomato bagel, and Philly steak with egg & cheese on a rainbow bagel. The lox was generously portioned, right amount of cream cheese and lox. Just wished we had picked different bagel .... maybe cinnamon to give it a hit of sweetness. Welcoming and beautifully decorated for the Halloween season. Counter staff quick to help. Ordered my go to a bacon egg and cheese on a toasted bagel SPK. I chose a Russian bagel which is basically a pumpernickel with sesame seeds. Good selection of cold drinks, several different coffee and hot beverage stations. Also prepared yogurt parfaits and fruit salad cups. Serving Boars Head cold it's. Varied selection of cream cheeses. The basic chips and candy offering as well as local newspapers. Plenty of seating. Bathrooms for customers. Service was quick. The sandwich was delicious. The bacon was crispy without being greasy. They forgot my ketchup but not a big problem. Still enjoyed my breakfast! Bagel Supreme is well known and is usually the busiest bagel place in town. We have visited multiple times but will probably not visit again. The prices are more expensive than many of the other places nearby. The bagels, are good but not great. The main reason for the 2 stars is the service. Multiple times we have gone here and witnessed who seems to be the manager either yelling at other customers or the workers. For the price you pay, and the service given, unfortunately it is not worth a visit with so many other options in the area. read more

As we were driving by this bagel shop, there was a line out the door. So I said to my wife, we have to give it a shot. She wasn't feeling the vibe of finding parking and waiting, but she took one for the team. There's street parking which we did a few laps around until we found a spot a few blocks away. They were very organized inside and the place was very clean. There system worked well and the wait was very minimal. I got the Supreme Special which was Taylor Ham, Egg, cheese, potatoes and hashbrowns on a round roll. The sandwich was excellent except for the fact that there was almost no cheese on it. With the exception of that, it was very tasty and well put together. My wife and son got a sausage egg and cheese. My wife was not that thrilled about it and my son came in the living room and asked, "What's this?" There was only sausage on one half of his sandwich. Not sure how that happened, but it did. All in all, the line didn't reflect what my expectations were. Decent place if you're local but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. read more

Food is good. I seriously hate going in there though. The service is always bad unless its this one hispanic lady and a tall man. Theres is this one woman who is ALWAYS RUDE with an attitude for no reason at all. Im always kind to everyone but it is very difficult with her because she always acts like she is disgusted by you. Also, if its not empty, it will have a white person/family (likely racist) who needs to stare at you while you wait for your order. Not the best place, but the food is good so i have mixed feelings. So I've been here multiple times. Never overly impressed. First off, stay away from the coffee, its absolutely awful! Think of your worst Jersey diner coffee and you know what I mean. The staff is pleasant enough but got my order wrong, again. There's plenty of bagels for your perusal but there's no description of what bagel is what. You probably don't need a Bagel PHD to tell a blueberry from an everything but come on, it's common bagel shop etiquette. Great bialys! Stopped in one morning because I'm on a mission to try all the bagel shops in the area. This one is definitely popular. There was a line as soon as I walked in. I loved the decor inside, super spring time festive. The staff was really friendly. I ordered a BLT and a Taylor ham egg and cheese. Once I saw the bialys I had to try them. Very similar to a flagel, I liked it. The Taylor ham I got on a bagel and it was good too, not a home run but definitely good. The bagel was crispy outside and chewy on the inside. They have a huge selection of sandwiches too. Lots of lunch time items. Their bagel selection is great too, lots of cream cheese spreads as well. For what it's worth, the service is a very fast, and the ambiance is clean. Good bagel and breakfast sandwich place. I'd encourage you to come in and check it out for yourself and not worry about not getting a delicious breakfast. Parking, while unrelated, is always easy to get out front. The sandwich 'slaps' as they say and is what you're looking for. Not enormous and unreasonably large so it's probably as much as a person should have of this in one sitting. I'm pleased. The coffee is good, and you have a few flavors to choose from like hazelnut. And they have flavored syrups you can add. I did find the cookies, which while cute and convenient, to lack the lemon flavor in the cake and fudge flavor in the frosting. Also, the carrot cake was a little dry. Wow, without the lovely owner truly running things like when it started, it has went down hill fast. The sandwiches are not that at all! It's like eating if you were scrapping together your last deli meats you had until next month because of money issues. The bagels are tough my lord. The guy in the back is awesome! Alway wears a hat. The short Hispanic lady, listen, you don't want to work or do your job don't be there because I have heard many people not going there just because of the attitude. Suprised I had to say this but on my way to new York for business I stopped by this small restaurant, i ordered my food and sat down just to see customers constantly yelling at the employees. "You did this wrong" " don't give me that" was I all I hear while trying to eat. The workers were literally running back and forth to help the stampede of impatient customers. Most of them just order then walk out the door, leaving the dying business to lose more money. It disgusted me to experience the inhumane acts of these New Jersey citizens. Thankfully Bagel Supreme have earned their moniker. Their bagels have that great balance of being soft and chewy, not too fatty and the perfect texture on that outer layer when you're biting in. The variety (Black Russian! Rainbow! Sundried Tomato!) rivals that of the more popular places a town over. And there's ample sitting here as well. Two gripes: the street parking is pretty rough... it's a small popular block with limited spots on either side of the street. And if you go when they've just opened up (5am): nothing is ready. I've waited and gone at 5:30 only to have maybe half of the baskets have bagels. So this place has a very special place in my heart because I lived across the street from this place. I remember when they first opened, it was a hole in the wall. Word got out real quick in town that their bagels were amazing. Kids in town used to go out of their way to get lunch here and grab something before going to school in the am. After some time, the hole in the wall expanded and they completely remodeled. My brother went to school with the son of the people that owned the business and they were also our neighbor in our condo after the business grew. Great people that knew a thing or two about bagels. When my brother asked his classmate what the secret was, he said "the water." The reason why NYC has amazing pizza and bagels is because of the water. They actually import water from NYC for their bagels. Like wow! For NJ, especially the town of Rutherford, that is just amazing! Living in NYC and being a Yelper I guess, I am quite a snob when it comes to my bagels. My all time fave is just down the block from me and I stand by it, but my place does not do sausage, egg and cheese all that well because they microwave that stuff...So sort of killing a perfect bagel with terrible fixings. When I want a sausage, egg, and cheese, I go here. The bagel may not be NYC best, but it is up there. With a griddle cooked sausage, egg, and cheese moment, wow! I want one now! Now, one thing I will have to note is that their baked goods are not that good. I think they are outsourced so can't really dinged them for that. However, their muffins, rolls, bagels, and smears are all delicious. Their lemon poppyseed muffins used to be my favorite growing up, but they didn't have it all the time. My family and I no longer live across the street, but I do make my brother take me for a everything bagel sandwich whenever I am visiting Jersey and am craving a proper sandwich. I used to come here all the time, but unfortunately the service isn't what it used to be. They still don't have vegan cream cheese like many of their competitors nearby. The other bagel stores in town have veggie and scallion tofu spread. Many people are vegan or lactose intolerant, so it makes it a pain when you're grabbing bagels for a road-trip and we have to go somewhere else to accommodate everyone. read more

The food here is good especially the bagels. Customer service is another story. Although having over four people behind the counter, no one acknowledged me or a man standing in back of me in line to place an order. He left first after more than 5 minutes and I stayed for a few more minutes. There was a young man behind the counter, doing nothing in particular. I can appreciate the others were preparing orders but the store was not crowded. Acknowledge who comes in and say we'll be right with you or at least just nod. It was actually comical how they avoided looking in our direction. I then left went down the street to Steve and Andreas for a breakfast order. It's a different story when someone who I presume is the owner and a younger man who appears to be related to him are there. A great place to grab breakfast or lunch and go. I usually call ahead and it's ready in 10 minutes or less. The line to pay is long sometimes at peak breakfast hours or on holidays, but that can be expected at any deli. I live for bagel sandwiches, my favorite being egg, cheese and potato. The area around my town is heavily populated with stores, so the competition is pretty tough. The bagels here are pretty thick, but they make sure to load up your sandwich contents to make up for it. Despite using it for take out most of the time, I do prefer staying in. The overall ambiance and unique decor in the place makes it feel cozy. Ordered an everything bagels with Taylor ham, egg and cheese. They skimped on the Taylor ham. All the bagels only had one piece of Taylor ham. They used to put 3-4 pieces. The service is pretty fast considering there's always a line on a weekend morning. Great tasting bagels, but a big let down when it came to filling today. It may be a fairly busy Saturday morning on a gloomy october day. Pretty chilly too. I am devilishly hungover and all I want a is a bagel. So long story short. Waited over half an hour for the food. Turns out. They didn't announce the order and it was sitting there. I asked for a cinnamon raisin bagel. They have me everything. My good friend asked for well done bacon. Floppy bacon. Here I am. Still hung over. Still waiting for them to remake my bagel. Best part is me and my Good friend made sure to tell them, multiple times of our order. And they still messed it up. Best part is second time around. They still mess up. No salt, pepper, ketchup. Highly disappointed in what is usually great place. Sad to say they've lost my business after this. I will be taking my hungover appetite elsewhere for breakfast. Atleast I can enjoy a nice refreshing Arizona Arnold Palmer, except with no grease clogging up my arteries.
