I was driving around the area and decided to check out Ridge Road Bagel. Small inviting shop smelled like bagel heaven. I decided to get a dozen to bring home. I got marble rye, everything, whole wheat everything, pumpernickel, a d an egg bagel. I ate the egg bagel in the car and it was hit and yummy. Their bagels are huge and are too big for my toaster. I would definitely come back here if I find myself in Lyndhurst again. People were nice. Street parking only. Give it a shot you will be glad you stopped in. read more

This has become one of our solid go to places for breakfast sandwiches on the weekends. Parking is street parking only on a busy main street. Once you get inside, if it's busy, you need patience. It's worth it. It's small and tight, so be prepared to get intimate with your fellow breakfast eaters. Service is very efficient and quick considering the volume they go through. VERY solid Taylor Ham, egg and cheese sandwich. I used to get it on a roll but their Asiago bagel is on point. Home fries are probably one of the best in the area. If it's busy, circle around a few times until a spot opens. It's well worth it. read more

I started ordering from this shop recently. Did not have an issue until now. Ordered two bacon, egg and cheese bagels both had fragments of bone hidden in them. Never had this experience before with ordering this type of sandwich from this shop or any other shop at all. Looks like a worker decided to be a jerk and tried to hurt someone. This is our bagel place. We go visit At least twice a month, cause we really like the bagels. Last week my boyfriend went for bagels, brought them back home and I Immediately asked him if the owner was there after unwrapping the bagels. I right away get so aggravated cause this has not been the first time that the owner isn't there and they literally skimp out on whatever you ask them to put inside no matter what you ask for it's literally the smallest portion that's just disrespectful to the patrons and owner. I've asked my boyfriend in the past to check the bagels before he leaves cause we're obviously not driving back to personally complain or whatever, but he trusts!!! I really hope that the service and food that is served there while the owner is there could be as consistent as when she's not. read more

Located right on ridge road, my new favorite bagel spot! I went in on a Thursday morning so it wasn't crowded. The staff was very friendly, unlike some of the other reviews that stated otherwise. The bagels are so fresh and they have a nice variety of cream cheese as well. I went with a whole wheat with veggie cream cheese and it was perfect. A huge bagel, hand rolled and delicious. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They also have flagels and a ton of sweet treats on their counter. Chocolate croissants, cookies, crumb cakes, muffins. I took a glance at their menu and they have regular lunch sandwiches and platters too. Parking can be a bit rough since it's right on the main avenue but it suggest going to a side street. read more

My everything bagel was everything :) okay but it was really good, especially with BE&C and salt, pepper, ketchup (the only way to do it). It was nice and fresh. They only allow 4 people in the store at a time due to the pandemic, which caused a bit of a wait for me at 11 am so I can only imagine a busy weekday morning. But it definitely made me feel safer. I would recommend ordering and paying through GrubHub. It sped up my process so all I had to do was go to the counter and say my name. My order was warm and ready to go. My only complaint is the price, it came out to $7.25 for a bacon egg & cheese! read more

Not one person acknowledged me when I walked through the door they had no awareness of a customer I had to ask if I could place an order. There was no thank you please come again thank you for your service. The place was cluttered I observed one of the girls taking a bagel back from a customer and after the customer had it in her hand she proceeded to put it right back into the bagels that they were selling. First time here and I have to say they have great sandwiches and bagels. Ordered for pick up and surprisingly it was pretty easy to get thru. I ordered a BLT with mayo on a plain bagel with a side of hash browns. The bacon was super crispy and tasted so good on the bagel. The lettuce was shredded and the tomatoes were thin and juicy. Con- no parking lot and barely any parking on the street. When I went to go pick up my order it was ready but the girl did mess up my order and thought I said I wanted butter on my BLT. She tried to argue with me saying that, that's what she had heard on the phone. I told her I don't like butter on my BLT so why would I order that lol? The girl next to her came off rude because she kept butting in but it's fine they made me a new one after I repeatedly said that's not what I ordered... so thank you for that. So when placing your order over the phone make sure you have them repeat your order and repeat it when picking up! Nothing I hate more then when a place screws up your order. The bacon is always nice and crispy. Don't even think about toasting your bagel here it's not needed because the bagels are so fresh. When I was there the other day, and they were short staffed with a line out the door. 3 people had called out that morning, and the 4 people that did show up hustled so hard to work through the line of loyal customers. Damn, best damn bagels I have ever had. They do not do them like the back in the West where I am from. But we stopped here for their breakfast bagels and Bacon and Eggs bagels with lots of cheese and meat on all of them. We are new to Ridge Road Bagel. RR bagel and Deli, is so worth the stop. Firstly the bagels are legit! They perfect...Not real ready, dense, flavorful and soft, but have that perfect spring and elasticity of a great bagel. Their break bagels are buttery ( because they load them will butter!) and layered in real food... real eggs, real ham, loads of bacon etc. This is no, we got the bacon pre-cooked in a bag and heat it up, this bacon is fresh, thick and some of the tastiest around! These are some of the best bagels you'll find in jersey. It has that thickness and size you want in a bagel with a crispy outside layer followed by s soft and chewy inside layer made to perfection. I had an issue where I didn't get some of the menu items I was charged for on my online order and when I came in the next day to explain what happened the staff was very gracious and accommodating. Are they the best bagels in town? No, but they're solid. What they do better than Bob's down the road: They're open at 5am. (Plenty of times Bob's was still dark and not ready for business on time.) When they open they have all their varieties ready to go. (More than a few times Bob's will only have their plain in the display case and the other dozen options are still cooking away in the back.) They have a full (friendly) staff working their tails off. (Bob's always feels like someone else just quit right before the start of a busy weekend morning and in dire need of another set of skilled hands.) Their coffee is good. (Last time I attempted to drink Bob's I almost gave up coffee for good. What kind of sane human can function without a cup of joe?!) It's that consistency that has me venturing here more than Bob's even though it's out of my way. read more

My family and I love this place. Great food, great service and conveniently located. The main reason I wanted to rate this deli, was due to something I noticed. Last week I went to pick up my order and noticed multiple signs requesting customers to maintain their social distance and limiting the amount of people inside (Limit of 4). When I walked in I was the 4th person, then 3 more people walked in after me, making it 7. The signs were placed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but people don't seem to understand the seriousness. I turned to the 3 customers that walked in after me and and told them that there's a limit of 4 people at a time. They stared at each other in confusion and ignored me. This annoyed me, so I payed for my order and walked out. Today I went to pick up my order and observed that they posted more signs inside the deli and placed tape on the floor to indicate the 6 feet that customers need to maIntain. I also noticed that when I was done paying for my food, the guy who handled my money changed his gloves to prevent cross contamination. I tried to call in an order. They picked up the phone, asked me to wait, then put the phone down and never got back on to take my order. I went to the store and told the cashier I was still on the phone. They had the phone on the counter for 25 minutes without picking it up again. The cashier apologized, said the owner doesn't hire enough people to take phone orders anymore. The bagels are great, but the service is not on Sunday mornings. read more
