Cannellini, tomato, celery, avocado salad $10 lb

I pass by this place all the time & decided to give it a try yesterday. I was impressed by the amount of interesting vegetable dishes on display. I ordered a sandwich and a little side salad and was annoyed that the tab came to $27 with tax and tip. However, the food was amazing! The cannellini bean, celery, tomato, avocado salad was divine. I have to learn how to make this! The mortadella sandwich was very surprising - the ricotta and the fresh oregano elevated it tremendously. The sandwich and salad wound up being two lunches for me. The staff was very nice . Highly recommend. Go check it out!!

I found this gem on a suggestion on one of my other reviews. I love how everyone is working together for the pursuit of fine dining. When you walk in is massive and immaculate. Just a tip because I was fumbling around; the sandwich board is too your left when you first walk in. I got my traditional chicken, broccoli rabe and mozz and got my wife the Italian hero. Now wait.... is that.... no..... yeah, it is... pizzagaina. I had to get a slice of that. I'm going right to the pizzagaina. I haven't had this for YEARS and it was absolutely heaven. YES, YES and YES.... get a piece! It was just like I remembered it as a kid. I eat mine cold just as is. The spice of the pepperoni steals the show. Chicken and broccoli rabe sandwich was excellent as was the Italian hero. My wife and I wound up sharing each one. The only thing was that they forgot the mayo on the Italian. In retrospect, why didn't we just add the mayo at home???? Ok, we forgot to do so too. Excellent place to grab lunch. Parking is a little rough. I circled around a few times. Again.... pizzagaina.... trust me....

    House Cooked Roast Beef Sandwich

Michael's was highly recommended to me, and I totally get why it's a neighborhood favorite. The guys working were super nice and helpful. They sold me on the roast beef as it's made in house. After careful consideration I went with the roast beef with Asiago cheese, arugula, and garlic Mayo. The sandwich was a little dry, but the garlic mayo was insane. I'd drink it through a straw. The roast beef was good, but I was expecting to be wow'd and I wasn't. Nonetheless, a tasty sandwich. I also grabbed a few rice balls while they had some available. Outstanding!

Always super professional service I wish I knew there is 4% cc charge and I have not seen any sign or been told about it. I'd would have paid with Debit card or cash. They more you know...

This place is still perfect to me! We picked up our special order request of seafood crepes and my mind is blown away! I've never tasted anything like these anywhere! Phenomenal! Thank you Anthony! My favorite Italian deli in town! We have been going here for years and the service and quality has never been anything less than stellar. I have never once obtained a meal here that was bad. You can't help but buy more than what you came in for. They have the best fresh mozzarella compared to any I have tried elsewhere all my life. Staff is amicable and the place is always clean. There is never any food slopped over their dishes on the glass incases. Food is always being replenished. Hubby always orders a grilled chicken sandwich with fresh mozz and toppings. My go to is mortadella, ricotta, oregano and O&V. Every Christmas we order their catered shrimp scampi which are like colossal shrimp and fried fish fillets. I could go on and on, but you just need to visit here if you haven't already. Be prepared to spend over $50 because you simply can't resist trying everything!

    The best rice ball ever.
    Cassy B.

Hands down best rice balls I've ever had. This place is fantastic, they have a little bit of everything. I've tried sandwiches, salads and hot food items too. Really fresh, always delicious. My only complaint is that they close very early, wish they were open a little later so I could grab something after work.

Still the best customer service and sandwich spot. Their rice balls are the best I have ever had. A great place to pick up some important Italian items and drinks .

    Chicken Cutlet Sandwich

Nothing but wonderful things to say about this place! The food is fresh and delicious. The best eggplant cutlets I've ever had. Their rice balls are superb. All their "salad bar" options are so delicious and I have not tried one thing that I didn't like, everything is delicious! Their sandwiches are so delicious and big! They make it right in front of you so you know it's fresh and handcrafted. There is plenty of staff to help out with your orders and they are all friendly! They run a tight ship that prioritizes their customers. The owner is from my hometown in Italy, so I might be a little bias!

    Terrible thick vegetables

What a terrible sandwich I ate today from here. Ordered: prosciutto, ham, spicy Capicolla, and provolone with sun-dried Peppers, lettuce, onion. When I unwrap the sandwich I see sundried Tomatoes not peppers.....The onions are terribly thick, lettuce is full leaf not shredded, and the meats are super THICK and so was the provolone. Every bite the meats would just pull out of the sandwich resulting in an unpleasant eating experience. See pics of my terrible lunch experience. Talk to your bro at Sergio's, he is doing it right!

It was refreshing to be greeted with such genuine hospitality, making dinner even more enjoyable. I immediately ordered exactly what I had been craving for. THE ORIGINAL THISTLE FISH & CHIPS! Satisfying my craving was precisely what I was aiming for. Perfection in a delightful crispy batter, paired with golden "chips" fries, tater sauce and coleslaw. [Don't be shy to ask for more tartar sauce.] It's a BYOB spot, so don't forget your favorite bottle of wine or beer, which goes great with fish! I'll be sure to bring a bottle the next time I go. As you enter there is a small waiting area and an ordering counter. Staff were very nice, cheerful, & accommodating while I waited for my order to be cooked and packaged. I didn't look into the dining room since this was a take out order. PROS: Cleanliness appears to be high on their agenda. My order consisted of Fried Oyster dinner, Fish & Chips dinner, and a Fried Shrimp & Scallops dinner. All came with French Fries and Cole Slaw. They also provided plenty of tartar and cocktail sauce. Additionally they have Malt Vinegar which is a must, at least for me when eating fish and chips. The oysters were cooked to perfection, as were the shrimp and scallops. CONS: The fish fillet was undercooked and the coating saturated with oil. I don't think the fryer was hot enough. French Fries were soggy because the steam from the closed containers. Easily solved by putting in a frying pan to crisp them up. Coleslaw was okay. As for Pricing, they are quite high for portion served. $30.00 for 2 shrimp, 2 scallops and a mound of french fries is outrageous. I can get a full seafood platter at any decent diner or restaurant for this kind of money. I think I'll look elsewhere when I get my next craving for this type of cuisine.

There were so many excellent options on Park Avenue that it was hard to select one, but we wound up settling on Suprema. The restaurant was an easy 5-minute walk from the train station and was, thankfully, very warm and cozy inside on that chilly evening. The service that we experienced throughout the night was also very friendly and gracious. After we were seated, we were told that the restaurant was BYO and that there was a liquor store across the street. I decided to quickly run over and grab a bottle of wine, since we had some time to enjoy our meal before the show started. In addition to the bottle of red, we began our dinner with a complementary bread basket and an appetizer to share. Sadly, the slices of bread were rather dry and hard, so I only indulged in a few bites. However, our Rice Ball starter was unbelievable! We received three massive, fried spheres of creamy risotto and gooey mozzarella that were sitting in a sweet, herbaceous basil pomodoro sauce. They were honestly the best arancini I thought I had ever had! For my main course, I ordered the Chicken Porcini, which included two large Bell & Evans boneless chicken breasts, served over a light, creamy golden potato puree. The poultry was topped with fresh, roasted cremini and porcini mushrooms, as well as a sweet wine and porcini glaze. It felt like an upscale, modern version of a chicken marsala. I adored every aspect of the dish, from the tender chicken to the aromatic mushrooms to the homestyle mashed potatoes (an item I do not even typically like). Suprema provided a stellar meal in a relaxed atmosphere that was the perfect pre-concert vibe we were looking for. Plus, the food was amazing, so we definitely made a wise choice in picking the place.

When I told my mom where we were going her reaction- "omg that place is still around?!? It use to be excellent back in the day!" Well I am happy to report this place is just as good today as it was during my mother's heyday. I decided to get a few oysters and clams to start off with and everything was just so fresh. As an entree the Seafood in a spicy red sauce was easily one of the best I have had in a very long time. There was a generous amount of seafood within the dish, the sauce I swear I could just drink it out of a cup and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My husband got the bbq ribs which I didn't try but you could see how they just slid right off the bone and he couldn't stop talking about how good they were. We ended our meal with some strong espresso. I enjoyed how it is a very casual atmosphere with a nice bar area that had a few TVs to watch some sports games. No need to dress to impress. The service was a little bit on the slower side but the waitress was very nice. The man who brought out my oysters, I asked him which were the east coast and which where in the west coast oysters, along with asking him where in the west coast my oysters were from and he couldn't tell me. I just think a place should just know these things is they are selling them. Nonetheless we still really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to return.

My partner, our friends, and I have been to this family-owned establishment numerous times and decided to have dinner last night. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this casual vibe, we were greeted by the host. There is a lively sports bar side full of TVs and a dining room side, where we got a booth immediately by the window. Their menu has a wide array of options, rivaled only by the countless photographs and mementos that fill nearly every inch of wall space. There are many sandwiches, a half-dozen salads, thin-crust pizzas, and a substantial range of pastas. For starters, we decided on two dozen East Coast oysters on a half shell and Steamed Mussels with white wine butter broth. A side of Italian bread was brought for dipping. As a main meal, we opted for the Turkey Chili, Baby Back Ribs, Fried Calamari, Caesar salad, and Fries. The food was excellent and delicious, using the freshest ingredients. The portions were healthy. The staff went out of their way to make one feel welcome, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Our server was Hadiyah. The price was reasonable. If you get her as your server, it's a start to a pleasant and great meal. Angelina knows what she's talking about! One feedback would be to learn how to better time the serving of the foods. We got our soup and shrimp cocktail as starters but literally 3 minutes later, our entrees were served to the table. Our entrees got cold while we tried to finish our starters. Please look to have the servers better time the serving of entrees AFTER the starters are finished. I had the New England Clam Chowder and the Prime rib. The clam chowder was tasty but lacked clams. They added andouille sausage to the chowder to give it a nice tasty twist but this should not have taken away from the amount of clams expected in a clam chowder. Prime rib was a good thick cut. But served warm and almost at room temperature. Not exactly how I would like my prime rib. Shoe string fries were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail as starters, followed by Cajun Sea Pasta and a bunch of side dishes - southern Coke slaw, black beans and rice and the loaded baked potato. Shrimps in the shrimp cocktail was good sized shrimp topped with old bay seasoning. The pasta was seasoned just right, very tasty and delicious. Cole slaw was crunchy which meant the Cole slaw was freshly made and not sitting in the sauce for too long. Loaded baked potato was of good size and baked to the right softness. Black beans and rice was the only side dish that was a bit too salty but went great when mixed with the baked potato. Overall, we were impressed with Angelina's services, friendliness of the staff and quality of the foods.

The home made…read moresalad dressings are phenomenal. the "Nonnas lasagna" was extremely burnt, so hard we could not cut it, it also lacked authentic flavor. The chicken tacos with rice and beans on the side were phenomenal! The Cesar salad was good but we did get served some browned romaine which i noticed half way through and couldn't finish eating it. I had the salmon and it has a fishy taste, it was also very small looked like 4-5oz. Although I asked for it well done, I did not expect it to be BURNT it was literally black like charred on the whole bottom and top. The wild rice/orzo chilled salad really lacked flavor and was quite the conundrum, I think this side should be improved or changed out completely. The roasted chicken with mashed potato's was excellent. Our server was very absent minded, although she circled and passed by she NEVER once stopped and checked in after serving the food to ask "how is everything?" so we didn't even get a chance to tell her about the burnt lasagna but fortunately the food runner and a different server did pass by us and checked on us ecause they saw us with our necks out looking for our server who had actually passed by us but didn't even look at us...I found it strange that for such a fine establishment the server had not been drained to check on the table 2-5 minutes after each course is served. We had a 3 course meal. A salad to start, followed by the chicken tacos and Nonna lasagna as a second appetizer, then our main dishes. Not once did she check on us after the food was served. I will return in a few months to see if there has been any improvement. The manager did take the lasagna off the bill after the busser brought the plate back. However the waitress never came or made any comments about it. She truly lacked hospitality, personality, and attention To details. I don't remember her name i don't think she Even provided it... the dessert menu also could be better being that there are other restaurants in the area with better dessert options. I think this place needs something good that makes it unique... maybe a story to tell by the server for first times guest or any suggestions etc.
