    Ham turkey and cheese sub
    Nikki C.

Not going to lie, walked out after buying one whole sub and one half and called and questioned the pricing. Thinking they rang me up for 2 wholes. But after eating it and the amount of meat on there, ill be back. They def dont skimp on the meat and bread was fresh.

    What a classy joint

Such a miserable crew . They don't greet their customers, they don't talk to them except what they want , they seem mad at each other and they certainly don't thank the customers for patronizing them . That's all I am going to say .

    Feeding two little boys.

My family recently suffered the loss of two of our family members. The meal we received tonight was hand delivered by the American Hero Subhouse with a card of sympathy, and strawberry cupcakes. Lyndhurst is lucky to have a gem like this in town. Thank you.

    Half chicken cutlet

Had to leave another review... this is hands down the best sandwich spot around. I had my usual chicken cutlet and it was delicious. Fresh soft bread. Chicken was perfectly fried. And just the right amount of lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, etc.

Best of the best. This no nonsense sandwich place gets it right delicious sandwiches at a great price, under $8 for a fat sub.

Half of a whole-sized turkey hero with bacon. $15 with a drink.

Good eatin', yet expensive. The $15.00 that I paid for a large sub & bottle of water certainly was pricey, yet satisfying in the end. So satisfying that I was able to eat the second half of the sub as dinner several hours later. Standard looking deli that was clean enough to chill in while a game was showing. The employees were relaxed & provided good recommendations on what to add on at a reasonable price, if necessary. FYI, this deli accepts cash only (for now).

    Welcome sign.

Grest tasting sandwiches. Always a good deal. Parking on side. Call order in and save time. Like meatball parmigiana.

Great sandwich packed with plenty of fresh cold cuts at a decent price. Better than Jersey Mikes or Subway. My go to place for a good lunch.

We finally made it this past weekend to Vinnie's Mootz for one of their special tasting menu…read morenights, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. If you're expecting a typical dinner, think again. The tasting menu featured around 12 courses, and by course ten I was completely full--but somehow still excited for what was coming next. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, packed with flavor and very tasty. For me the standout of the night was the very first dish which was Vinnie's homemade mozzarella with tomatoes, which was so good that we even bought some fresh mozzarella to take home. The meatballs were also outstanding, and the steak and eggplant course was another highlight. After all that food, finishing with a cannoli just felt like the perfect ending. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, but the food is every bit as good as what you'd find at restaurants that cost a lot more. Live guitar music throughout the evening added to the experience created a nice vibe. My only suggestion would be maybe to turn it down a notch or two as it was a little hard to hear others at our table. Still a very nice touch though and all songs you would know. I always like it when a chef comes out of the kitchen, especially at a tasting menu, and Vinnie came out several times to chat with guests which was very nice. It just added a personal touch and showed how much pride goes into both the food and the overall experience and we got to hear his back story. This tasting menu is an incredible value and a great way to try dishes you might not normally order. Just remember to come hungry--and maybe skip lunch beforehand. If you can get a reservation for one of these tasting nights, don't hesitate.

After my first visit, I can say the tongue-in-cheek spirit of Vinnie Mootz's signage carries right through the front door and into its lineup of "SANGWEECHES." I ordered "The Nicky Mootz" -- cutlet, bacon, hot sauce, and fresh mootz -- and enjoyed it immensely in the friendly, medium-sized dining room. The pizza, which I plan to try on a future visit, looked excellent, and the small assortment of hand-stretched mozzarellas is reason enough to stop back in the next time I'm passing through. It's a Jersey sandwich -- excuse me, sangweech -- shop with all the charm, humor, and flavor you'd hope for the community!

3 stars for portion sizes that are enough to feed you for a whole day…read more.. Soo I was craving a chicken and rice platter drenched in white sauce. I know there's a million Halal spots popping up, and I will admit I'm very, very picky when it comes to platters. I miss the good ol' days on 53rd street in NYC... I came by around 10pm and was served quickly by a friendly employee. They have platters, burgers, wraps, wings, chicken tenders, fries, etc. I ordered the chicken rice platter (~$13.50). They cook the meat fresh on the grill and then you choose your toppings at the salad bar (olives, onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc.). It's a bit pricier than other places, but the portion size is huge. The container felt HEAVY lol. It's just a shame it went to waste because I really didn't enjoy the food. I only finished about half of it before I tossed the rest. The white sauce was almost flavorless and was VERY watery. The chicken wasn't as well-seasoned. No distinct spices or aroma. Every bite left me with a very greasy and salty taste in my mouth. The side salad was just okay. I was disappointed. The only saving grace was the rice... it was fluffy and the best part of the whole platter. Not sure if I came on an off night or...? Don't let my review stop you from trying. It might just not be the Halal spot for me.

This is definitely a place to bring your side piece... your main girl will never know. Unless your main girl is a TJ MAXX shopper, that's right across the street, in that case be cautious taking your side piece here.

Later that afternoon, before picking up my cat I decided to go inside. I wound up getting a few different items. Spices, chocolate covered pretzels, riced heart of palm, a garlic herb and oil blend, and some oil crackers. The had beautiful olive selection and a nice gourmet pickle section as well. I did sample one of the pickles and it was delicious but I was in a little bit of a time crunch. I believe I met the owner of the shop today and he was really kind and helpful. He was able to point out what was made in house and what was ordered for the shore and from where it came from. They also have an online store where you can order some of these products. As of now, there are some items you can't get on the webpage that are only available in the store, I already told my husband I would love to return in the near future.

Unfortunately, Pickles are a little more difficult to keep up with as they have a shorter shelf life. I would come back if they made them less salty, more flavorful, and replaced them when the time is right.

I ordered the chicken tenders with the honey garlic sauce and I'll give credit where it's due -- 10/10 flavor, well-seasoned, sauce was on point. The place is bright, clean, classic rock playing in the background. (And I appreciated the tables being spread apart so the patrons weren't on top of each other.) Friendly crew behind the counter - I'm guessing it's a family affair holding it down back there. No booze but they do have one of those cool high-tech Coke machines with a touchscreen to pick from a ridiculous amount of options. Four of us all stayed in the chicken lane (spicy wings to tenders) and I gotta say: the chicken was noticeably tastier, fresher and just better than what you'd expect from a fast-food leaning chain. The fries were good, too - hearty and well-seasoned. (The only issue we had was that the food was served at an absurdly hot temperature and we were hungry and not patient enough to wait for the food to cool down.) Solid pricing (about $15 for a combo). Good portion size. Parking lot available.
