An extremely solid sub shop in the area. They do both hot and cold subs and I've yet to be disappointed. Quality vs cost is phenomenal. I usually go with the Big Bite but yesterday I went with the tuna melt and that was pretty solid as well. My son has been going with the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and he's said it's one of the best. We both get a half size and he usually winds up saving half of that. So it is a solid meal. Decent amount of parking with options to eat in as well. Interior is very basic and everything is made right in front of you.... fresh. Only downfall is that they are cash only. Which I used to understand, but now you can order online via food delivery apps, so the ability is obviously there to take other forms of payment. In an era of everything being electronic, including our paychecks, cash has gone from King to inconvenient when you need to use it. I heard a lot about this place so I stopped in today for lunch. First walked in, very clean, immediately greeted by the staff, walked up to the counter to order and saw the sign cash only. Lucky for me they had an ATM inside, no big deal, took out some cash and ordered the roast beef with provolone. They asked what I wanted on it I said everything except onions, I appreciate that they didn't drown the sandwich in oil and vinegar. Paid for the food and got in my car. When I got home I noticed there wasn't any mayo, I should have asked for it my fault. Have to admit it was a good sandwich very reasonably priced. The family got lunch there again recently and we were bummed we just didn't drive into K-Town to Cappelluti's Deli. On a turkey and cheese one of my kids asked for pickles - you figure it would be a few. Nope. The pile of pickles was thicker than the meat. No joke. On my Italian instead of everything working in harmony there's just too much overhanging cured meats which start to taste like a Vespa tire after a while. Its closer to RT. 21 than RT. 3, but it's accessible from both. The inside looks like a basic sub shop. No frills, with a good amount of seating. I ordered the big bite, which is like a big Italian hoagie. You can see the staff making your sandwich, sort of like Subway or Blimpie. The foot long is pretty big. I only ate half of it in one sitting. The sandwich is fresh. Its made from Thumann's cold cuts, and your choice of pre-cut veggies, and condiments. The only thing I can knock them is the pricing is a bit more expensive than competitors. Big bite sub compare to a tastee super sub is about 3 dollars more for a whole. This is without extra toppings which an extra dollar.
