I just bought a prosciutto sandwich from here and they're wayyyyy too stingy with the meat. Like there's only one piece of prosciutto across the bread and they tried too hard to compensate for the lack of meat with a pound of tomato and cheese instead. $30 for two sandwiches and there's not even enough prosciutto on both of them for one sandwich. [Over a decade since my original review... it's time to spruce her up.] A few years back I took the family to eat here and just a few minutes after we sat down our (fresh, piping hot) pizza arrive at the table. It was honestly a bit shocking because we all know a pie is usually in the 15-20 minute range, right? And just as we start to dig in a lady came to the counter to inquire about her order and she was told, "Another 10 minutes or so." - she was rightly miffed and we realized that they'd given her pie to us. And this has been my biggest pet peeve whenever I swing in here to pick up my order... it's never ready on time. It's never an issue at any of the other (almost dozen) pizzerias in our small town. Just here. Every single time. Hmmm... I wonder why?! Otherwise Foschini's is your classic local pizzeria. They're comfortable in their lane - making a decent pie (although on my most recent visit it was really messy and poorly cut) and they can knock out the mainstays (garlic knots to mozz sticks to garlic bread) with their eyes closed. Over the years we've always enjoyed their various wraps and sandwiches but on my last order the pasta dish I tried was under-seasoned and a bit... pedestrian. Located at one of the busiest intersections in town - parking can be an issue (they have a really small lot on Valley Brook but that's probably more for their delivery guys). Pricing is good. Staff are always friendly. My official "In-Town Pizzeria Ranking, Spring 2023 Edition" has Foschini's snuggly in the middle. So the time has come. I've driven by this place time after time and every time I ask my wife.... Why haven't we tried that place?? Now we have. On their website, front and center, it says "Home of the Famous Margherita". How do I not get that???? Then we always get a Buffalo Chicken pie for the kids and my wife and I shared a drunken chicken parm dinner. I feel horrible, I deleted the photos after posting to my Instagram page. I know; Rookie move. It happens to the best of us still. The Margherita was very good. Sauce had a good tang to it. My only complaint was it could've been a little crisper. Under carriage had no char which was odd for a coal fire place. Buffalo Chicken was above average. Not too spicy and very tasty. Came with blue cheese on the side so you can add as much as you'd like to your slice. Drunken chicken parm was well done. I would've liked to see a little more cheese. That's my only complaint. Came with a side of ziti with Vodka sauce. Lyndhurst had such a huge variety of pizza places and Foschini's is up there fighting with the best of them right now. read more

We've been up, we've been down with Foschini's. Lately, things were going ok, but, tonight I noticed my daughter looking quite upset over her salad. I've never been pleased getting salads from here, as they are mediocre at best, and super expensive. I paid over $18 for a Caesar Salad that I added chicken to. The chicken was almost $8 to add itself! I didn't understand what was up with the salad until she had me take a taste. The dressing was literally mayo! What the he!! kind of dressing is that?!?! Poor girl... Our pizza was good, just not hot at all. To spend about $46 for a plain pie and a chicken Caesar salad seems kinda ridiculous! C'mon! This is your business! I'm not asking for miracles. Just something yummy for my family for dinner! We'll probably continue to order as it's next to impossible to find reliably good pizza around here! read more

Oh man, this is a heartbreaker. Foschini's used to be our go-to pizza place. Wood fired ovens are THE beat for great pizzas. But man has the quality dropped off while the prices shot up. I just cant recommend them anymore Except! Foschini's still boasts the BEST Margarita pie in the region. Also the "Little Anthony's Pie" can be found nowhere else. Anyone who's tried it knows. It's delicious. I keep ordering from them when I need one of the other but nostalgia isn't enough to choose them when there are so many other solid options around. Used to love this place. I called at 3:18 for ONE sandwich. The time was quoted 30 min max 45 min. Plenty of time before I have to leave at 430 for work. It showed up at 4:38! AN HOUR AND 20 min for a sandwich! The delivery driver didn't really even speak English. Now I'll be late to work for the first time. Unless you have 1.5 hours don't order here. Smh read more

I honestly hate leaving bad/negative reviews on here but with so many options for pizza, you have to be able to deliver. Large cheese pizza tasted like it came from the freezer section of the grocery store. Literally had frozen pizza that tasted better then this. All 8 slices were different sizes. Also ordered a spinach roll which I was surprised to see that on the menu since a lot of places don't make it. Barely any spinach and zero taste with exception of the burnt bottom. This is the first time I ordered food from Foschini's Brick Oven, my order was take out but still food. The place was clean, cute and cozy; the smell from the wood burning oven and the food....made your mouth water. The staff was welcoming with a smile and very courteous. I like that when I am buying take out food. After getting home with dinner, we were extremely surprised over the amount of food we received for the very reasonable price paid. Ordered from here because it was playoff night and I wasn't in the mood to cook. First off, I like that their prices are relatively low and the delivery minimum is only $10. It's easy to meet. I order a chicken parm hero and requested that it be well done with extra sauce on the side. I also ordered a side of fries. The hero was definitely not well done as the bread was as soft as if it were a cold hero. I was disappointed there because I like the bread to be crispy. The fries were pretty good and a huge serving. As for this order, I really wasn't impressed and have had a better sandwich elsewhere but I'm going to give this place a second chance because they have brick oven pizza. When we first moved to town we loved this place. The pizza was our favorite and it was our go to for delivery. But the last few times we've ordered, either items have been wrong or just didnt taste as good as in the past. We haven't given up but we order much less often. The spaghetti bolognese is one of my favorites. Very tasty and plenty of food. The pesto with angel hair is also one of my favorite things to order... pesto very good. My boyfriend likes the wings.. they are usually good and crispy. Skip the fries.. mushy and not worth the calories. Cannolis are good. The pizza is one of the better ones in town for sure. read more

Often times the first indication that a place has good pizza is the aroma in the restaurant. Foschini's tops the charts in this area. I ordered the plain cheese pizza 16" and the chef took the time to make sure it was cooked to perfection. In a word the Pizza was superb. It had the perfect blend of tomato, cheese, spices combined with a crispy crust. We are lucky to have this kind of quality pizza in our area. The food at Foschini's great. The Italian sub is incredible and enormous! Made with fresh, good quality, Italian cold cuts. Ordered the mushroom, Prosciutto and garlic pizza and it was a great combination. Full of flavor and pizza was topped with good quality prosciutto, not the cheap stuff. They lay it right on top after they remove the pie out of the oven so it's not cooked on leaving it soft and perfect. Great spot! read more

Came in on a Friday evening , the decor is ok , they do have A true wood oven stove - the staff are young high school ladies , and surprising they are very attentive and the service was great. Not sure if it's a common thing but The place is full of young teens , and the pizza guy had their young toddlers running around. Pizza: The pizza was actually very tasty and very well balanced in flavor. Not a true NYC style pizza however it's not bad at all . Wings; The buffalo wings weren't good to me , I wouldn't order it - the wings had a little to much batter , and they weren't spicy as I love them to be - The place - the place is not bad , but I'm not sure if the AC was Broken or if they don't have one , but I would not eat there again during a summer day , The place was extremely hot that it was uncomfortable to eat a hot meal while you sweat over your meal. Sat down here for lunch the other day. The server Adrianna was very nice and attentive. The wait time for the pizza wasn't too bad. Ordered a BBQ chicken pizza. I think it was the worst BBQ chicken pizza I have ever had.. hence the 3 star rating. Location is prime. Parking is around back. There's just no good way to spin leaving items off of a delivery that was generated online. No good way to spin a carbonara dish that doesn't even have a full ounce of meat in it. Getting a bite of a big piece of paper that was separating the carrot cake slices they clearly bought from somebody else is not OK. Either close the doors or deliver quality meals. It isn't fair to customers to be so lackluster. I try them every several months hoping they have gotten better. We ordered delivery last evening from this pizzeria. Maybe we should have stuck with Pizza but instead we ordered Eggplant Parm dinner. The bill came and we were charged an add'l $4.50 to put cheese on the eggplant. The sauce was horrible, more like a bad jar sauce and there were carrots, assorted veggies baked into the eggplant? Who does that? The turkey and cheese hero was a huge hero with 3 skimpy slices of turkey, one slice of cheese and when I asked what type of peppers they carried, they only had roasted or hot peppers. Turned out the "hot peppers" were jalapenos??? No cherry peppers, no long hots, no sweet peppers, no banana peppers there. It was an overpriced hero mostly made up of bread. We ended up throwing out half the meal. Needless to say we will not be ordering from this place again. read more

What happened to this place? When I first moved to Lyndhurst in February I used to love ordering from here. Everything tasted great and would arrive on time. It was my go to delivery place. Unfortunately it has all been down hill since then. The food quality has diminished, delivery time has lengthened, and overall regard for their customers seems to have disappeared. It has come to a head today. I ordered 2 Panini's and a snapple for my wife and myself. After waiting 75 minutes I called to find out the status of my order. I was told it would be out soon. Finally 20 minutes later it arrived. I ordered online and put the $5 tip (28%) on the card already. Not only did the driver not waste her time with the intercom to bring our food up to our apartment, but she didn't even wait in our lobby. I had to search for her outside. Still, whatever, I let it go. But then, we open our food. It clearly was made 1.5 hours ago when the order was placed and just sat around. The fries were cold and disgusting, some I don't believe were even cooked in the first place. Furthermore, the concoction that they claimed to be a panini was a disgrace. Oh, and they didn't even send the snapple haha, they sent some other iced tea I had never heard of. I hope this place gets it's act together, their food and service was truly good only a few short months ago. I may give them another chance to show me they are out of the rut, but if the experience is anything like this one again, I will never go back. I generously have given 2 stars based on my positive past experiences only. read more
