I finally got around to giving this place a try after years and years of living in the area. We landed here after a ball game late at night. They are open until 3am, which makes it very convenient. We went with our traditional Buffalo Chicken pie and a plain pie with half pepperoni. Service was excellent and food was ready at the time indicated. My son said the Buffalo Chicken pizza was "Ok". He loves his Buffalo Chicken pie and is a total pizza snob when it comes to that. The pepperoni pie was pretty good. Well above average. I like mine a little more thin crust and well done but that's just my personal preference. I found it a little too thick for me. All in all, very good service and solid food. "Is this place romantic?" - Yelp's first question after I checked-in and that caused a bit of a chuckle. (No disrespect but even the workers here would have to fess up that "romance" would not be the first word that comes to mind when you step inside to grab your grub.) My family has given this a place a few chances over the years and it's usually... okay. The pizza - more times than not we found it average, undercooked, nothing too exciting. (But on our most recent visit it had definitely improved.) Their Cesar salad with chicken - the Mrs. had a few bites and proclaimed, "Wherever this came from - it's two stars at most!" Mozzarella sticks - pretty good. Side of sautéed broccoli - surprisingly better than I feared it might be (especially after the Mrs.' "two-stars" quip). Staff are friendly. Pricing seems a bit higher than it should be for the quality of the grub. Their niche seems to be how late they stay open and their pie is completely decent for the 'last call crowd', no doubt. But if you have the moxie to name your place after the town itself... you really need to up your game. My experience was great! We were so hungry coming back from a long drive and nothing was open. Enter Lyndhurst Pizza... Not only is this place open later than any place in the area (Yes, even during COVID!), but the service was very friendly. Convenient I believe this is the first time I have reviewed delivered food. At home I would just go get something, but we are not at home. It is late and I am unexpectedly sitting in a hotel room, our flight cancelled after being delayed for 5 hours. I should be writing a review for Jet Blue. But I digress... The hotel provided flyers of a few places that would deliver food to the hotel, and we decided on this one. They have a large menu. From the hot and cold sub section I picked one that I would call an "Italian", ham, salami, provolone, oil, and the usual toppings. My wife called in the order and that seemed to go well. We did get a call from the delivery person who was not sure where we were. We dug up an address to the hotel, apparently they are not quite around the corner after all. Shortly thereafter our food did arrive, nice guy, well packaged food. The sandwich was larger than we expected, a little bready, but it also had enough stuff inside to make for a good sandwich. We definitely appreciated access to food tonight while we were stuck in a hotel in an unfamiliar area with no car. read more

We were working all day into the evening and we wanted to order a pizza to end our night and this was one of the only places that was open still. The pizza came within the timeframe that was told to us over the phone, but the pizza was not cooked well done as requested, it arrived semi warm, and it must have been tossed around in the back seat of the car, because the cheese and toppings were all disheveled. All of the toppings and oil from the pizza created a mess in our kitchen when we opened the box. I would be open to a response or feedback from the pizzeria as to explain what could have happened tonight. Paying $25 for a pizza like this is [somewhat] absurd and I wouldn't mind giving this place a try again if they can deliver on what they advertise and discuss in-person over the phone. read more

At 1:15, I call a third time, only to be told the exact same thing. The driver finally pulls up to my house at 1:25, nearly two full hours after placing my order. As expected, the pizza was cold after so long. The driver, nor the person on the phone, did not offer anything by way of explanation or apology. My house is a 7 minute drive from the restaurant, I cannot fathom how or why it took so long, or why the restaurant could do nothing to rein in their apparently rouge driver. This is the best pizza in the area. Open until 3am, very consistent service and pizza quality. I don't order much, but I'll walk in and eat here late sometimes and the staff is very kind and accommodating. The owner is usually on site and is very friendly and remembers your name. My favorite pie is light cheese and well done. Their dough is not medium chewy and just enough crisp this way. The cheese is high quality and doesn't seem to affect my lactose intolerance. It's not the nicest place inside but that's what I like about it. Great place to come to with the guys after a night out, very low key jersey environment. read more
