The place was packed when we walked in. Reminded me of an old school NYC pizzeria. Cool paintings on the wall. The staff was very friendly. I got the Calamari and they were very friendly and so were the other patrons. The Sicilian pizza was nice and crispy, the tomato sauce was really good and not over powering. The chicken fingers and fries were cooked to perfection. Overall it was a good experience. I believe they just opened this week!

Nice, cozy spot for a quick bite or nice Italian dinner. The chicken Parm was so good with that sweet sauce and the melted cheese. The apps were good, but what really was amazing and over the top, the service, the staff were super friendly and attentive. My new favorite pizza joint.

Nothing quite compares to biting into a freshly made pie made with high-quality, imported ingredients--especially when enjoyed in the right atmosphere. The owner of Song E Napule, Ciro Iovine, clearly takes immense pride in his heritage, and it shows in every detail. From the vibrant decor honoring Diego Armando Maradona--a true legend and god-like figure to the people of Naples, still revered throughout the city--to the selection of ingredients imported straight from Italy, the commitment to authenticity is unmistakable. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the service. The staff doesn't just serve you--they welcome you like extended family. They greet you with genuine warmth, polished professionalism, and that unmistakable Italian hospitality that makes you feel at home. We laugh, we chat, sometimes hug, and we leave with full stomachs and even fuller hearts. Our sincerest thanks go to the owner for bringing such a genuine slice of Napoli to the New York area. The Rutherford, NJ location remains our favorite, thanks especially to the outstanding team: talented pizzaiolo Giampiero, whose skill and passion shine through every pizza; manager/host Omar, who we love like a younger brother. This last visit, servers Kevin and Aslihan were both exceptional. Spending time in the company of the staff at Song E Napule is always a joy. We truly feel blessed every time we walk out the door.

Very warm, welcoming and chic. The service was great, our waitress was very helpful with recommendations. For my drink I got the Sage Whisper. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy gin. We ordered the Feta cheese turnover. It was good but could definitely be better. The block of feta was so massive that it overpowered the dish. If they use like half the amount of feta and added more honey it would've been perfect. I was also expecting apricot to be incorporated into it, but it was just on the side. If they had a layer of apricot jam inside that would literally take it to the next level. For dinner I ordered the Bistecca. My steak was could perfectly but the flavor was a little lacking. Luckily I love steak so i still enjoyed it but I think if it was sliced and topped with the chimichurri and some flaky salt it would've been a lot more flavorful. The steak was also a very generous portion. I did have my eye on the Orecchiette Rabe e Sausage. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely come back to try it.

Located on Park Avenue in the heart of Rutherford, my partner, our friends, and I determined to start 2026 for brunch as first-timers. The reservation was easily made by calling the restaurant. Upon arrival at Sonoma Bistro, we were greeted by the staff and got a table by the back wall decorated for the holidays, evoking a festive, warm, casual, and inviting vibe with music playing throughout. For some of us as a starter, we decided on the beef empanadas. As a main meal, we opted for Steak Sandwich, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Veggie Omelette, My Big Breakfast, and Bistro Omelette. Washed down a Hugo Spritz for toasting to the New Year. Each dish felt like a work of art, as it was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and deliciously tasty. The chef focused on sourcing local, seasonal ingredients to ensure freshness. Our service was attentive and super friendly. Our server was George. The price was reasonable. This establishment checked all the boxes! One doesn't just come here to eat. One comes for an experience that leaves one feeling inspired, which we can recommend.

Whole corn was perfectly grilled and each and every bite was addictively tasty with the chili powder, queso fresco and mayo mixed in. + Guacomole & Salsa - Verrry, verrry good. Possibly some of the BEST guacamole we've ever had. It wasn't super thick and was so smooth, which made it easy to dip the chips in. Unfortunately, we had a surplus of chips compared to guac so we definitely could have used a larger serving. + Chicken and Cheese Quesadilla - Perfect for our kids. Quesadilla was simple, but delicious and hot right off the grill. Plenty of chicken inside too. + Shrimp Fajitas - Delicious. There was a lot of ingredients mixed in - roasted peppers, onions and lots of melted cheese on top. Only knock was that there were just 2 large tortillas. We could have used 1 more large one or a bunch of smaller ones. + 3 Tacos - Chorizo, Carne al Pastor and Bistec tacos were all excellent! There was sooooo much meat pouring out from each one, so to say the amount of meat in the order was generous is understating it. ==== The Chorizo was actually sliced pieces of sausage, which was good, but I do love the ground version more. Nevertheless, still super flavorful. ==== If you love a good kick, the Carne al Pastor is for you. A bit too spicy for me, where it overpowered the flavor of the meat. ==== The steak actually wasn't really seasoned, which was a surprise. However, in a strange way, it worked considering all of the ingredients mixed in - onions, scallions. BUT, if you were to just eat the steak outside of the taco, you might find it disappointing. THE SERVICE ------------------- + Waiter was friendly, however, he always seemed very busy, so it was tough flagging him down when we needed him sometimes. + Despite it being very busy on a Saturday evening, food arrived very quickly after we ordered, THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Located right in the heart of the Rutherford downtown area where there are plenty of other restaurants. + No private parking lot, so street parking is your only option. + Spacious restaurant and beautifully decorated inside, especially in the back half where the tables and chairs have designs on them. + Music was constantly blaring, some traditional Mexican music, but they also mixed in reggaeton, which was interesting considering that it was a Mexican restaurant. + Relatively clean interior. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- + Was busy on a Saturday evening at 6 PM and as early diners left, more folks just kept coming in, so we KNEW we made the right decision coming to dine here.

We had a large group, and they seated us at 2 separate and crowded tables in the side room, which was less than ideal (with a reservation). It also got really hot because the room was packed. They were pushing us to order everything family style, but everyone wanted to order individually. The two of us weren't super hungry, and asked for our entrees to be on a separate check before ordering, which they would not do. Since I knew we were going to end up splitting the check with the one table, I ended up getting a more expensive entree to make up for the apps and drinks we weren't having (I already had a drink from the bar and my husband doesn't drink). I settled on the special lobster carbonara (which I think was $75). Good, but overpriced. My husband had the filet mignon - it was cooked as requested but we prefer more seasoning. A friend passed her grilled scallops over to us to finish - I took one bite and it tasted like ammonia. I discreetly spat it out. For her sake, I hope the rest didn't taste like that. The atmosphere was loud and hard to have conversations. They did a conga line around the restaurant later in the evening. Not really my scene. Service was slow and it didn't seem like they could handle big groups, even when split up. We ended up staying here for about 3 hours. We ended up leaving before we were even offered dessert. Also, keep in mind they have valet parking.
