Loaded kimchi fries
Keith D.

This is a new ghost kitchen I found on Uber eats. I was craving Korean without the restaurant prices and found this spot. I ordered the burrito and kimchi fries and it was more than enough. I ordered a chicken burrito and the flavors with the kimchi was awesome. I usually like to have my food spicy and the kimchi was mad good. I ordered steak kimchi fries and it was literally more of a steak meal with fries. This place is mad good. Their white sauce and red sauce is like a halal spot. I 100% recommend this place

I had no idea I would ever need a pizza and Asian dining food combo until now, and honestly that…read moresums up North Jersey's culturally diversity in a nutshell.  7 Doors Down is a great stop right by the NJTransit line and a gateway into Bloomfield at large. The service was great and made some killer suggestions for savory options with a kick, the views by the window were great for people watching and commentary as well

Came here on a Friday night to get some food after stopping at Micro Center. It looks like that…read morethis place and Blue Steel pizza have merged into one location. The town it self was having some pavement work being done and it was difficult to find parking. I was driving away when I eventually found a spot and walked about 6 minutes to the location. As I got there I could see that the restaurant was full and lively. The hostess was friendly and communicated our wait well. It did look like that they were struggling a bit with tables staying longer than they expected which caused a few reservations to be backed up while we were the walkins. I do recommend getting reservations here. I/we ordered a ramen, the cola wings, and the detroit style pizza. They were nice enough to separate the single serving of ramen into two bowls which was really nice of them. The Ramen was good but a bit salty. The cola wings were alright I wouldn't say they were the best I ever had. As for the pizza it was good, however when comparing with similar offerings in the area, Buckys in Chatam, NJ is superior for Detroit style. While, the this particular place did not meet MY standards I would still recommend as a nice date spot!

I wouldn't hold it against you if you eyed me with suspicion when I said:…read more "It's in a strip mall, next to an Applebee's but... it's great!" "It's my new favorite ramen joint. My last favorite was in a food court inside of a mall!" "It feels like it's the next evolution in the Tommy's Tavern-Tio Taco's takeover of high-quality spots all across our great state!" (But each statement is said, and meant, with sincerity.) It's large (high ceilings adding to the 'wow factor'). It has a great look and vibe. The entire staff are profusely positive. As for the ramen... the broth was chock-a-block with flavor and veggies and noodles and a whole array of goodies (black oil, crispy garlic nubs, creamy tofu, you name it). The Mrs. (who is the real connoisseur when it comes to ramen, I'm just a wannabe) thought the portion was a bit on the 'wimpy' side (for the price) but I was content. (We arrived at the tail-end of happy hour, so maybe I was a bit more forgiving since the bill wasn't as bad as it could've-would've been.)

I'm confused!! Let's…read morestart with the positives. The vibes are wonderful, great spot for a date and quite spacious so I wouldn't worry about getting a seat. Service is excellent. The selection is inclusive, with ramen options for vegans and those who don't eat pork. And the pièce de résistance: the takoyaki. I consider myself somewhat of a takoyaki connoisseur. If it's on the menu, I order. Their takoyaki is BOMB. It's perfectly creamy inside and rests atop this delicious velvety ricotta-like sauce, excellent sauce assortment (the usuals), and I like the shredded bonito, ALL GOOD. Not a ton of octopus in there (about 1-2 pieces in each) but I wasn't mad. I was actually very very happy. Now the sad is that their main event, the ramen, was pretty underwhelming. I ordered the chicken ramen. The issue that really docks points is that the broth was just not right. It was over-reduced, or something otherwise went wrong because the texture was less creamy and more...thickened? Viscous? Unpleasant. It left this slightly gritty strange coating on the tongue. Also, it tasted like straight up bones and water. Severely under-seasoned. And the measly slices of chicken (give us 4 if they're going to be that small) did not have a touch of much-needed salt. The noodles were seasoned very well though, so I did enjoy those bites especially when I doused that baby in their delicious spicy sauce. The seasoned egg was nice and I'm glad it came with one whole egg and not a half. Also glad the bowl came with spinach because lord knows we need more fiber. As I ate the noodles, I enjoyed the bowl, but I couldn't slurp the soup. That's arguably at least half the experience, right? I want to give 4 stars because genuinely, that takoyaki is GOLD. That alone is like eight stars, off the charts. However, this is a ramen spot. The ramen is, alas, important.

The wine is sold in half or whole bottles (not glasses), so I opted out this time. The menu is a mix of traditional Spanish tapas as well as American and Latin American mixed in. Our original Resy was canceled due to a change in business hours, so we were offered a complimentary dessert. We tried the cheesesteak empanadas, croquettes, bbq pulled pork arepa, garlic shrimp, octopus, short rib gnocchi and finished with tres leches cake. My favorites were the octopus, shrimp, gnocchi, empanada, and tres leches cake. Croquettes were the least favorite, just not exciting, and they were kind of smashed. The octopus was very tender and enjoyed the sauce and sundried tomatoes that came with it. Everything came out at the right temperature and at a good pace to not overwhelm the table with dishes. The restaurant is dimly lit. I found the booth backs to be very hard and uncomfortable - could use an upgrade. Prices per dish are high for the size, but to be expected with tapas in the states. There are a lot of choices so there's something for everyone.

I know tapas are served in small plates and I know prices are generally high, but I believe anyone who's tried this place will reconsider. The food was tasty, but the price was high and the portions were really too small. If I were to come back, I probably wouldn't be for a full meal; I'd just want to order the Zeppole Tree dessert . We ate around 1:30 pm, so there was no one else at the table and we were the only ones there. The service was very attentive.
