Pepperoni pizza

I forgot how I heard about this place but I am glad I did find this place. It's about 10 minutes from my house so I could go whenever I wanted. Food was really good that's why I would go back and get the same thing. Ambiance was just fine. I am a sucker for Duck so I had to get the Duck ramen and it was really good. Bread pudding was so good my god.

The food is always good here & the ramen is even better. Especially the duck ramen it's a must!

Duck Ramen w/ Kimchi Fries

Food (3.5/5): I got the duck ramen which was very tasty, especially the duck. Unfortunately, I had an eggshell in mine which isn't a huge deal for me but could really ruin another person's night. The Kimchi Fries were good but not great. What looked like a colorful dish turned out to be a little bland and lacking seasoning. Fries are fries though. Service: (2/5): Slow and confusing. We had a 7:15 reservation. We showed up at 7:20 and weren't seated until 7:30. Even after ordering food and drinks promptly, we didn't get any water until 8:10. The staff was very kind though. Ambiance (4.5/5): It was nice, interesting, nothing extraordinary. Would've preferred the music to be a little less loud since we were sat under the speaker it made conversation hard. They were playing what seemed like Spotify's top indie tracks.

Boy do I wish 7 doors down was 7 doors down from us! What amazing spot. The vibe of the restaurant was great! The place was cozy and inviting yet modern! Loved seeing the kitchen from our seat! Pictured is: La Cicha (loved the cinnamon taste of this mocktail - it added a super unique touch, shrimp bao buns (loved the crunch but wish it had a bit more of the sauce for some flavor), (double fried chicken wigs - the touch of lime here was chef's kiss),(duck ramen - we usually hate duck but the duck was a bit sweet and we loved the broth),(cheesesteak ramen - the flavor of this dish was like anything we've had before - picture a cheesesteak sandwich as a dessert, but it was indeed a entree!) It took awhile bit for the waitress to come introduce herself but that wasn't her fault, she seemed to be only server in the whole restaurant. She did a great job waiting on us so props to her!

Found this spot from scrolling through the recent's page on Yelp and I'm so ecstatic I did! This is such a unique take on traditional ramen dishes with a peruvian infusion - I've never seen anything like that!! With the amount of ramen places in the nearby area, this place is now in my top 3 list. We ordered the the sloppy joe bao buns and double fried chicken wings to start and they were both so good and full of flavor! The bao buns are a bit pricey for only receiving 2 ($14) but they are still worth a try. I absolutely loved how crunchy the wings were with a good spice to them. For my main dish I ordered the Tokyo Style ramen bowl and it was delicious! The pork belly was so tender and cut like butter with just chop sticks. The broth wasn't too salty and had a rich flavor to it. I also really appreciated that a soft boil egg was included in the bowl since a lot of places in the area usually charge an extra fee for one. The ambiance is so moody with perfect lighting for a nice date night out. You're able to see the staff preparing food from where are you seated which I thought was such a cool detail to the experience!

What a great spot with a unique menu offering a fusion of Asian and Peruvian/Spanish. Service was very friendly, and the food came out quick. Restaurant had a very minimalist design, with not a ton of seating (reservations recommended). Kimchi fries, double fried wings, coconut shrimp baos were fantastic, and a great small play share option. The calamari was my least favorite but still good. I loved the balance of spice on everything, enough to sweat a little but balanced allowing all the flavors to shine. We split the Tokyo style ramen. The egg was perfect, gooey and creamy. The broth was rich in umami and depth while pok belly added a fatty layer to the broth. I will be back

Double Fried Chicken Wings

Happy to have gone to 7 doors down! The food was very good. I started off with fried chicken wings and coconut shrimp bao buns. The wins were EXCELLENT. Very crunchy and full of flavor. The sauce was also an interesting twist. The coconut shrimp buns lacked a bit of flavor but was still very good. For my entree, I had the cheesesteak broth less ramen and wow! The taste was so unique. The shortless rib in it was very good and the cheese and "cheesesteak" like. Very good. I was also able to try the duck ramen and that was also excellent. The broth was top tier. Overall a great dining experience. The ambiance was made it a great date night. The only slight down note was it took a bit longer than expected to be seated when I had a reservation, but the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

Went here on a Friday night and got lucky to snag a last minute reservation. The place is dark, trendy , with nice hip music playing in the background and great vibes. I noticed it is BYOB too, very cool. I'll bring some drinks next time. Once seated our server (I believe her name was Jamie) , was sweet and very passionate about the food. She shared that she used to work at their main restaurant blue steel & come here for lunch so she's a huge fan of the food. Also, the restaurants name comes from it being 7 doors down from the main restaurant (so clever). She made recommendations on what to try and we got the duck ramen and lomo saltado. The duck ramen was good but a little too sweet for my liking- I would try another ramen next time. The look saltado was incredible, the meat was so tender and juicy and the sauces were amazing- I would 100% recommend this and come back for this, my husband said the same. Overall I will return to try the rest of their menu and for the ambiance. It's a very cool , hip spot, worth going to. Date nights here seem epic. We were with our 3 year old but it was still a good time.

So 7 Doors Down was actually recommended by a family member that knows someone that writes food articles. The restaurant itself brings a very trendy vibe to then neighborhood. Actually, I used to go to the restaurant that is 7 doors down called blue steel, which is a restaurant that focused on pizza (same owner). They moved all of the equipment from blue steel to 7 Door Down to create those amazing deep dish pizzas. My wife loves the white pizza, we also usually order the spicy pizza but decided to try other things this time. The calamari was great and had great flavors. The kimchi fries though was a flop. I think it needed more kimchi, it was also a bit on the salty side. We also ordered the chicken ramen, it wasn't bad, however, I think the pizza that they make is phenomenal. Service was great, Jayme, our waitress was attentive and quick. Couldn't ask for anything more. Also, the place is BYOB so definitely bring a bottle or 2 and enjoy the vibes.

I really appreciated how quick and quiet this place was. The music was great and the server was very attentive while the food came out quick. The food was really great. The only thing docking my singular point would be for the menu options. Feels like it's missing something and the paper menu felt like it took away from what felt like an overall higher end experience.

Limited options for vegetarians. Delicious mushroom broth and food. Great service. Would give this place a 5/5 if there were more protein options such as tofu for non-egg eaters

Duck ramen

Nice to have a ramen place in the area, especially one with to go ability. There is a convenience fee on their website, which you can avoid by calling in. There is a little seating in the front by the host station for easy waiting. There are a lot of good menu items, including quite a few ramen options. I thought the duck ramen was a little more unique. The stacked containers to go allowed the broth to stay separate from the duck, ramen, egg, and other toppings until I was ready to mix. The duck was pretty tender and the flavors all went well together, but it is on the expensive side for ramen. I did think the tres leches tirimisu (which are two of my favorite desserts) combined together was a real winner. It was so sweet and moist and delicious that it made for a great and amazing finish to the meal. All the elements were done pretty well, but it is on the pricey end of ramen, so it's good for an occasional meal. Their small plates selection is extensive, and I look forward to trying those as well.

BYOB! Debuting my wine Sangiovese/Syrah - Sip Happens Good Thing There's Wine
Maritza M.

Where do I begin?!? The only negative is the fact that it's a little far from me! I was immediately intrigued when I saw the Duck Ramen, which did not disappoint. The next best thing was the braised chicken croquettes, with the sauce spread below it and the pickled onions on top, as long as it had those three, you can never get a dry bite. However, the coconut shrimp could've used some sauce. I ended up using the little bit of sauce left over from the croquettes to substitute because there was barely anything at the bottom of the bun. The only actual disappointment was the tres leches tiramisu, as there was hardly any espresso and just a bunch of chocolate flakes. It was good, don't get me wrong, but they minus well say it's just a tres leches cake, because tiramisu fans would think it's just a gimmick.

Food was horrible. Cesar salad contained anchovies. The Detroit style pizza was very doughy. Food was overpriced. One waiter for 10 tables.

I couldn't stop eating it! Ordered the braised pork belly Bao. Comes in orders of 2. Sooooooo flavorful and so worth it! Ordered the Short Rib Ramen and their Special Spicy Tonkotsu ramen. So much flavor in the broths. Very filling and the numerous flavors from the fresh onions, to the beautifully cooked pork belly and short rib, to the perfect soft boiled eggs. A+! Started off with the clams and the calamari. The clams featured an addicting onion-forward and buttery sauce. The clams themselves were generally fresh, although one or two were a little sandy. The clams were served on top of a bed of focaccia bread. While it soaked up all the sauce and flavors, I'm not sure if I want all my bread to be soggy from the get go. The calamari were also solid with spicy mayo sauce, teriyaki sauce, and shiso leaves. Calamari were fried in a light batter. The mochi ramen carbonara featured the delicious and chewy ramen from Sun Noodles. It was cooked nicely and remained al dente throughout. The egg yolk flavors were very prominent for sure and the richness was temporized with the citrus flavors. The spicy miso ramen offered an interesting concept, but not sure if it really came together. Noodles again were very solid. The broth had more mushroom, umami flavors. Didn't quite get a taste of the butter or pork, but the leeks were good. Made a reservation for 8:30 but didn't actually get seated until past 9pm on a Friday night. Staff were polite. Got the chicken Bao buns, and they were alright. Drowning in shredded Parmesan. My complaint was the black cod I ordered tasted fishy. It came with a Yuzu tart vinaigrette or yuzu purée that didn't work. At the top, is a bed of pickled turnips. The pickled flavors clash with the Parmesan flavored broth. Why am I sitting down for fishy fish? I went here once last year and found the portions to be good. I go now and the portions are ridiculously small. It's no different from a tapas place. And you have to order a bowl of ramen even to be satiated. Concept is good. But everything is drowning in a Parmesan flavored broth. They don't know how to balance yuzu/sour notes with their Parmesan, creamy, rich broth. That their flavors are all over the place. Did I mention how much they put raw scallions on top of everything. It was a one and done deal for me. It's too pricey when the meal kinda felt flat for me on every note. There's potential for them to balance out their flavors. But I'm not waiting for that to happen, not when I had to grab dinner elsewhere because I was still starving.

Barely any sauce as well to dip. Signature Tonkatsu Ramen $20 - Good! Best part was the egg! I've had better ramen elsewhere. For $20 I expected more flavor and fillings. You can definitely customize and add, but at this price point I would rather have had base start at $24 and include wood ears, more veggies, bamboo, etc. Mine was basically the fat part of pork slices with 20% meat, one veggie, whole egg (which definitely was excellent), and a good broth. This place is the definition of a hidden gem--a masterclass in traditional sushi sitting quietly on a culinary wasteland of a street. The commitment to quality here is staggering. This isn't your standard neighborhood joint slinging spicy mayo rolls; the seafood here boasts absolute freshness, with rare fish flown in weekly directly from Japan. You will find cuts here that are nearly impossible to source at standard sushi restaurants, elevating the experience to something you'd typically only find at an exclusive omakase counter. Let's talk about the tuna. The vast majority of sushi spots try to pass off cheap, frozen yellowfin as a premium offering. Not here. They source incredibly high-quality Spanish Bluefin--the exact same caliber of fish utilized by Michelin-starred establishments. What truly sets them apart is their ability to offer the complete trinity of bluefin cuts: the deep, ruby-red lean akami, the perfectly marbled chu-toro, and the rich, melt-in-your-mouth o-toro. The menu reads like a love letter to the ocean. Finding high-grade yellowtail belly can be a challenge, but here, it is a staple of exceptional quality. For those with an adventurous and educated palate, the chefs regularly feature incredibly hard-to-find selections like itoyori (golden threadfin bream), mejina (opaleye), and a luxuriously rich fatty bonito. The uni deserves its own paragraph. Sea urchin can be a gamble at lesser restaurants, but here it is pristine. On any given night, you might be lucky enough to find both creamy California uni and the briny, delicate Hokkaido uni available for side-by-side comparison. Another testament to their traditional approach and culinary respect is how they utilize the week's fresh catch to craft a warm, incredibly tasty fish head soup. It is a deeply comforting, umami-rich broth that extracts every ounce of flavor from the premium seafood they bring in, showcasing a level of authenticity you rarely see anymore. While the menu does offer French-inspired dishes and various hot kitchen items, let me be clear: you are here for the sushi. The hot food isn't bad by any means, but if you truly want a culinary experience, do not waste precious stomach space on it. You are here for the raw fish. The singular exception to this rule is the pork gyoza--they are remarkably juicy and absolutely worth the order. Do not skip dessert. In many sushi restaurants, desserts are an afterthought, but here they are top-notch and entirely homemade. The Japanese flan is impossibly silky and decadent. However, the true star is the crème brûlée cheesecake--it is remarkably smooth, slicing effortlessly at the touch of a fork, with a deeply satisfying flavor profile that entirely avoids being overly sweet. I have to address the elephant in the neighborhood: this place absolutely destroys Morimoto down the street. Morimoto has become a tourist trap resting on a recognizable name, employing inexperienced chefs to cater to the sheep-like masses who prioritize a flashy dining room over authentic taste. If you actually understand and respect true sushi, you skip the theatrical nonsense down the street and come here. Let's also be brutally honest about the price point: excellence comes at a premium. This is an uncompromising, high-end culinary experience, and the bill reflects the quality of ingredients flown in from Japan. If you are a bargain hunter, looking for cheap eats, or aren't willing to pay for top-tier craftsmanship, save your time and look elsewhere. This establishment is for serious diners who understand the value of good sushi and aren't just looking for a good enough "AYCE" experience.

If it's on the menu, I order. Their takoyaki is BOMB. It's perfectly creamy inside and rests atop this delicious velvety ricotta-like sauce, excellent sauce assortment (the usuals), and I like the shredded bonito, ALL GOOD. Not a ton of octopus in there (about 1-2 pieces in each) but I wasn't mad. I was actually very very happy. Now the sad is that their main event, the ramen, was pretty underwhelming. I ordered the chicken ramen. The issue that really docks points is that the broth was just not right. It was over-reduced, or something otherwise went wrong because the texture was less creamy and more...thickened? Viscous? Unpleasant. It left this slightly gritty strange coating on the tongue. Also, it tasted like straight up bones and water. Severely under-seasoned. And the measly slices of chicken (give us 4 if they're going to be that small) did not have a touch of much-needed salt. The noodles were seasoned very well though, so I did enjoy those bites especially when I doused that baby in their delicious spicy sauce. The seasoned egg was nice and I'm glad it came with one whole egg and not a half. Also glad the bowl came with spinach because lord knows we need more fiber. As I ate the noodles, I enjoyed the bowl, but I couldn't slurp the soup. That's arguably at least half the experience, right? I want to give 4 stars because genuinely, that takoyaki is GOLD. That alone is like eight stars, off the charts. However, this is a ramen spot. The ramen is, alas, important.
