One of my favorite spots to stop in before work. The bagels are fresh, hot and ready to go. The service is awesome. The guys behind the counter are very friendly and attentive. They make sure they make it right The first time. The coffee is fresh hot and delicious. It's a nice location with plenty of parking. As you can see, it's nice and clean with plenty of seating inside. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you stop in read more

Bagels very doughy. Ordered flat bagel with just a small piece of lox and cream cheese and coffee. Bill was $18.95. Any other place It has been $10.00 to $12 tops. Tomato was rotten and bagel was hard. If you like bad food, rude service at high prices and like to get robbed this is your place. read more

I had to log in and post my first review in years for this place. Way below average bagels and rude staff (guy with red hair). There's a ton of bagel spots in the area, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

I enjoy a plain bagel, uncut. I usually have to heat it up to soften it. Not here, my bagel was soft & delicious. The outside wasn't too hard. I loved it. THIS place is my new bagel spot. The staff was super friendly. The only bad thing is I live an hour away so I only get to enjoy their bagels when I'm at work. Thank you. read more

Growing up in NJ, bagels are a staple and there's tons of shops in the area. However, this place is our favorite ever since a friend recommended it to us. Perfect balanced crust with fluffy core. Service had always been fine when I go as well. But even if it wasn't, I'd still go because the bagels are still worth it. Highly recons if you're looking for a truly awesome bagel! read more

Most boring bagel shop. Bagels are never ever hot , except after early morning baking . The bagels are all very bland tasting, along with the type of butter that they use . Once noon comes , the bagel variety's diminish . Their is normally only two employees working in the place during the morning hours and then one employee until they close . The bagel sandwiches are very thin and skimpy . Even the bacon appears to be the cheap pre-cooked microwave bacon . My skimpy bacon , egg, and cheese sandwich was over $5. It was thin , bland , dry , and tasteless . The restrooms also smell of urine all the time and have the dirtiest floor . read more

I used to be a semi regular at Four J's. By semi regular I mean one to three times per week. My work schedule then changed a bit which didn't allow the luxury of breakfast. But now I am back. The Pros at Four J's are a very congenial staff. Relatively quick service. Large open space. Decent bagels and slightly above average sandwiches and food. The Cons are a limited variety of bagels that are rarely hot. And, that the prices are notably higher than at other bagel shops. I order the same relatively boring thing at any of three bagel shops that I frequent and Four J's price is about 25% higher for the identical 2 items. I'm not going to state what those items are as they may then who I am. With that said I will more than likely continue to order from Four J's. However, they will now be a bit lower in my rotation due to the prices. read more

I'm glad I didn't read the reviews. My family and I were in the area. We were going to stop at a different place for breakfast (they were closed). We stumbled upon Four J's and loved the bagels. The space is raw, but roomy. Bagels were light and airy but chewy with a great crust. We got an egg and cheese on bagel and bagel with butter. The coffee wasn't good but I've yet to find a bagel spot with good coffee. Service was great. How high are your standards for a bagel spot? read more

Decent bagels at a fairly average price. The bagels are more doughy, fluffy, and tall than I personally like. The staff does not skimp on cream cheese or butter which is a positive. I have not tried their breakfast sandwiches yet, so no commentary. However, I did get a bagel with lox and while i enjoyed the bagel I did not approve of the price. Staff is attentive and quick and place is clean. read more

Best in town! Call in if you want to avoid lines! Always a soft bagel. Just missing the hash brown!

Mouth watering Delicious Bagels but staff always seems to have an attitude when attending.

Best bagels around. I've tried other places in the area and I'm always disappointed. Great specialty cream cheese too.

All my coworkers and I go to this place to get breakfast individually, this one time that we decide to order all at once for one person to pick up and ask for split checks I turn out to be annoying chick. This was rude and unnecessary. Never again will I go to this place. read more

I am reposting my review from the old listing because nothing has really changed except for the new location. I was hoping the move to a new building was a sign of changes being made but unfortunately it is not the case. You can see from the other reviews that my experience is not unique. Four J's has great bagels and food. However, I cannot say the same about their service. We order (or try to order) fairly regularly from them and have nothing but good things to say about the bagels and sandwiches. I'll just cut to the chase and say that the service is lacking at this store. It is difficult to place an order and when you do get your order there is a high chance you will receive a wrong item or missing an item. It makes it worse when they had the item on the counter or they don't own up to their mistake. Issue #1 - It is very difficult to phone in an order When you call their number there is a 50% chance that no one picks up - I don't mean that it just keeps ringing, I mean that it rings once and you hear a click and then it hangs up on you. Not sure if this is a technical problem or not but we've mentioned it to them a few times. Issue #2 - When you do finally get through to a person you are often put on hold, this isn't a big deal as I understand many places get busy and you just have to wait in line. When you're put "on hold" they just put the handset on the table and you can hear everything in the store. The problem is that they forget about your call and eventually they hang up on you. I've even heard someone say "hey who left the phone off the hook?" before getting hung up on. This has happened to me and others in my office multiple times. Issue #3 - They frequently forget items in our order. It happens so often that we made it a rule to count your items before leaving the store. I guess this is just a responsible practice but we shouldn't have to expect that something is missing. I would really love to see Four J's improve their service. Some process improvements to make sure orders are correct or retraining of staff would go a long way. They really do have great food but it doesn't matter if you can't get it reliably. read more

Best Bagel shop around. I go here a few times a week and the food is always good. Service is excellent. The 2 girls that work there Liz ad Carly are supper friendly always have a smile on their face and always make you feel like your business is appreciated. I see a few bad reviews from a while back. I guess they must have listened and fixed things up. Give them a shot. I'm sure you'll be happy! read more

The bagels here are SOOOOOO good. I'm incredibly picky about my bagels and this place has the some of the very best. I especially love that they offer a whole wheat everything bagel, along with a wide variety of flavors. They also have different delicious cream cheeses, including tofu cream cheese. I'm partial to plain, but occasionally will get a scallion or vegetable -- their flavors are always very fresh tasting -- I've since learned that they mix-in their cream cheese ingredients which is why it tastes so good. I've always had very good, fast, reliable, friendly service here. read more

The bagels are good but the prices are high. They also charge you separately for plates and creamer if you get a box of Joe and a dozen bagels. I would not go back the bagels are not that good. The creamer and plates cost me 20% of my total. 6 dollars!!!! I ended up paying over $30 just for a dozen bagels and very small box of coffee. For what they charged me, I could've gone to ShopRite gotten a whole package of plates a whole gallon of milk and a whole pound of sugar. And the guy was really sarcastic about it. Saying "they cost us money" yeah but this is your business. what restaurant charges for plates on a take out order? read more

Have gone to 4js since it was at the old location and now the new. About a month ago I ordered a tuna salad sandwich to go, only to get home to find out it was egg salad. We drove all the way back the guy said he was sorry but offered me nothing more then a the tuna salad sandwich. Mistakes happen . Fast forward one month later I ordered I ordered tuna salad again along with a roast beef sandwich and some chips , I also ordered a pound of potato salad. When I got home no potato salad. I called them up and said they said they didn't charge me for it. I assured them they had them and they said oh yes my mistake you can come back and get it. Thanks so much.when I went back , the girl had the bag with the potato salad on the counter she said sorry about that next time "I'll buy it" Three quarters of the way home I decided I better check that bag. It was macaroni salad. When I return to the store the girl said ""what ?". I said you gave me macaroni salad she said that's what you ordered. I assured her I had not ordered macaroni salad. She said well you can keep it. She got me to the pound of potato salad slammed it on the counter and walked away. I said what is it my fault now? she said "I said nothing." I replied "no apology? " She said " when I told you could keep the macaroni salad that was my apology, what are you what are my supposed to apologize again"I will never go back to this establishment again. I'm done.
