There is nothing that compares to NYC bagels. This place in NJ comes very close. You are able to get an assortment of bagels and sandwiches. The service was great and they have a counter where if you want to dine in you can. read more

I am a bit of a bagel snob. This is the best tasting bagel period. I have been all over New Jersey and NYC and they have the best bagels crispy on the outside and airy and soft on the inside. We live a few towns over with multiple bagel shops and still come here. read more

Still the best bagels in the area. This place is still my favorite bagel spot for the past decade. I always recommend this location over other. No one else comes close. read more

Always crazy busy! Bagels are very big, crusty, and light in texture. Staff is cordial and attentive. Amazing breakfast sandwiches - very well prepared and fresh. The place is always clean and well-stocked. Definitely the best bagel shop in southern Bergen County. read more

My wife and I have been going to Bob's Bagels on Ridge Road for probably at least 3 years now, about once a week, but we had a very negative experience there today and are very disappointed in how it was handled. We were eating at a table inside, when a man sat down next to us and began playing some news site on his phone, right next to us, at full volume. This is very rude and very irritating, and so we started standing up to move to a table outside. We said something to the man like "you know, this isn't your home," and then he became extremely confrontational. and started yelling at us to "get the f*ck out of here" because "he can do whatever he wants." At about this point a manager from the store came out, and he was standing right next to us when the man told us to "get the f*ck out of here," several times. And nothing happened. The manager tried to calm everyone down, we went outside to finish eating, but this is simply not right. We shouldn't have had to move, or be forced to listen to some random guy's phone for 20 minutes, just because "he can do whatever he wants." We love Bob's and their staff, but the way we were treated and the way they treated the bully who got to insult us repeatedly, even in front of a manager,is not OK. Kindness is supposed to win, but instead, this angry, selfish, offensive man was validated for his unreal, uncalled for, bad behavior. We're going to miss it, but if Bob's can't stand up for good, loyal customers, then we're not going back. read more

My wife and I decided to come here since we live in the area and enjoy trying all the different bagel shops. I can see why there are many low star reviews. First off, there is a parking lot, but I would just recommend to park on the street because it is rather small and gets cramped. Upon entering, as many others have said there is no real order to how anything works. Nobody greeted me or asked to take my order. Once someone took my order they told me to pay later. 10 minutes went by and I hadn't received my order, which was just 2 bagels with cream cheese. I asked the person who took my order, he forgot about it. Then someone else brought me my order and gave an attitude because I didn't pay yet, even though the other worker told me to pay later. Overall, this shop was just over the place and there just seems to be no method to the madness. The bagels also were nothing great. They were decent, but with many other bagel shops in the area, I most likely won't return. read more

I come to Bob's Bagels often. The food is good, but the service is pretty lousy. The girl at the register rarely speaks. I ordered a coffee and didn't realize it was self-serve. She gave me my change and then I stood waiting to get my coffee. She didn't say anything--just looked at me. When I asked, "My coffee?" she pointed behind me and said, "Over there." This happens often. It's always busy, and the place is disorganized. I once ordered a dozen bagels, paid, and was told to go stand by the bagels. It's shocking how many employees behind the counter just look at you and say nothing. No "May I help you?", "Be right with you," or even "Are you being helped?"--nothing. This happens every time I visit, and I find it very unprofessional across all employees. Honestly, I hesitate to go in because I know I'll be standing around waiting at least 10 minutes for my dozen bagels. It's frustrating to be looked at directly and not even spoken to. Not to mention, the girl at the register seems more concerned with how she looks or singing along to the music playing than actually providing good service. This is the closest bagel shop after church, and my grandma loves fresh bagels. If it weren't for her, I'd stop going. Just a tip to management: please take more control over customer service. I often see customers looking confused or waiting around for their orders. Ugh. I just really hate unpleasant service--when no one is polite, barely speaks, or even makes eye contact when handing you change or directing you. I worked in food service during my teenage years, and I now run my own business. It makes a huge difference when employees are welcoming and pleasant. Just some advice from a customer and consumer. read more

I had to meet halfway and give 3 stars on this establishment. Every time I pass by, it is ALWAYS crowded, so in my hunt for the best Taylor Ham, egg and cheese, I finally stopped in to Bob's Bagels. I ordered online which was a very smooth and easy experience. Inside was very clean and the staff was on point. I ordered a Taylor Ham, egg and cheese on a round roll with hot sauce. My son got a sausage, egg and cheese on a round roll and we got Ann order of home fries. The potatoes were phenomenal. Extremely tasty and cooked perfectly. A lot of times you'll get half cooked potatoes, etc. Nope, these were excellent. Not for my sandwich... instead of hot sauce, I got ketchup on my sandwich instead. I know I didn't make a mistake being that it was on the receipt as well. It was nice and cheesy but the Taylor Ham was nearly non-existent and over cooked being for how thin the slices were. My son enjoyed his sausage sandwich. That was a typical sausage patty. I didn't try his, so I can only go by the looks and his 10 year old opinion and he said it was a thumbs up. My quest continues to find a solid T.E.C. sandwich. read more

My go-to place for breakfast! Very quick service, pro tip order your order ahead of time so you can avoid the morning rush. It's the perfect little breakfast stop with everything you may want on lazy Sunday morning up to a busy work/school morning. From platters, bagels to fresh smoothies, you can have it all here. My go-to is a flat bagel (amazing option BTW) with BEK and everything on it. I swear, their ratio for bacon is PERFECTION. read more

So we used to order from Bob's all the time. We'd either pick it up or order thru grub hub. The reason we stopped ordering was the fact they could never get our order right. Well today after about a year we decided to order and guess what? They got the order wrong. And here's the thing, the orders are never huge orders. At the most its usually 2 sandwiches. A year ago my orders usually had cheese when there wasnt supposed to be cheese. Little things. But today they upped there game and gave me a totally different sandwich. I wanted a turkey sandwich, but they decided a tuna salad sandwich was what I really wanted. Anyway Bob's I gave you another shot to redeem yourselves but you blew it. And for anyone thinking that I'm a serial yelper, just to get free stuff, think again, I've only yelped 5 times in my life. read more

The service is generally pretty good here. Any time we've eaten in-person they've been slammed with people, so I can understand the staff being straight to the point. That being said, the food's kinda hit-or-miss. I've gotten bagels and sandwiches there that were really good, and other times they've been disappointing, with something over or under-done. I wouldn't say to stay away -- I've definitely had worse bagels in Bergen County -- but I will say that you might want to temper your expectations a little. read more

Damn, there's a lot of bad reviews for Bob's! Do you have to wait in line? Yes. Outdoors because of COVID? Yes. Is the service very speedy and not the best? Yes. You're in jersey and you're getting a bagel on Saturday morning!! It's gonna be busy lol. This place comes in close second for me as far as crispy delicious fresh bagels and tasty veggie cream cheese. My toasted whole wheat bagel was great, perfectly crunchy on the outside and doughy on the inside. The cream cheese was really super flavorful. It's a close second in my book. The fries were just ok but when you wanna indulge with carbs on carbs, go for it. They also have great sandwiches for lunch, muffins and cookies. They're busy because they're good. I've been here a few times and really have never had a problem. I'll definitely be back. read more

Bobs bagels is a really great place. I am never disappointed when I order. Bagels are super soft. Would recommend!

The bagels are consistently excellent! There's a bit of wait time during mornings and weekends! I mean it's popular, there are going to be lots of customers. There is some seating inside and outside. The only downside would be parking during the high traffic times. My go to is the egg and cheddar on a whole wheat everything bagel with salt, pepper, and paprika! Yum!! read more

Hands down the best! Bagels are always freshly made and delicious. Hot sandwiches are also a great choice!

Best bagels in town! Everything else is awful. Most unfriendly, unhelpful staff. Chaos when trying to order, the sign says "order here", yet when you stand there, you're completely ignored. Also, It's understandable that merchants have the right to charge credit card use fees nowadays, but Bobs is charging 4%! Ludicrous. Our experience today was no different then any other time over the past 10 years, except today will be our families last miserable visit to Bob's. read more

extremely delicious breakfast food in Lyndhurst... I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel and it was perfectly cooked plus the bagel was super soft. These bagels are great!!!! Fresh, chewy, and the staff is so nice. Lots of options: bagels, sandwiches, spreads, relishes, drinks, and my favorite - Taylor ham. I had the egg, cheese and Taylor ham bagel everyday and split it with my co-worker. One day, I had the blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese, and there was so much cream cheese, I had to skim some off. Not sure why so many people said the wait was long- I went everyday for a week (even Saturday morning) and my wait was no longer than 10 mins for 3 bagels (one of them from the griddle). I was there as early as 6:30am and as late as 7:45am. Traveling from out of town and this was a great find near my hotel. read more

Bob's Bagels - Place not to eat - Bagels Near Me - Lyndhurst, New Jersey

I saw they had low reviews but after my experience with few places I know not to fully trust the reviews I walked in there were few people waiting for their order . The place was clean , lots of drinks options, coffee outside so you can help yourself leaving the staff to make your food and get the line moving , lady behind the register was nice. I felt a bit rushed but that's normal in a busy store . And in a away I appreciated that since more people are now in line. Got my bagels and left . I wasn't able to enjoy them worm for personal reason. But when I finally got the chance to eat them they were delicious. My favorite was the sun dried tomatoes cream cheese. It was still good I am Sure it would of Been even better worm. I'll come back for other sandwiches but this was great fist time experience read more

This place is horrific on all accounts. The service stinks, the food is awful and the prices are even worse. I ordered a sandwich from them and they put 4 slices of cold cuts on it. When I called to let them know, they asked me to bring it in. After showing them the sandwich they all got together and laughed . At that point I told them to keep their shitty sandwich and that I'll never go back there again. Learn from my mistake and avoid this awful establishment. I ordered 4 different type of bagels and they took too long in getting the order ready. In one of the bagels, I ordered an egg and cheese on an everything bagel, they put mayonnaise instead of ketchup which made it uneatable.
