    Chicken STREET TACOS-
    Maya H.

I am never one to leave reviews- I usually like this place but I have only gotten their salads and mac and cheese previously. Today I ordered the chicken street tacos.. don't know what else to say besides extremely disappointed. It was 5 mini, sad, dry tacos, with a few pieces of shredded cheese and chicken. Menu stated chicken, cheese, cilantro, onions, and a side of chips with homemade guac (which i did not receive) and salsa. I cannot believe they charge $17.95 for these..!! wish I stuck to my usual salad.

Super yummy burger!! The garlic tots were pretty good as well. Very filling split between the two of us!

Went here for three first time the other night and really enjoyed it. Large gluten free menu. Mango lemon drop was delicious. I got the avocado chicken salad. Salad had great flavor and the dressing was really good. Sat outside on the patio which was nice and had great landscaping. Service was friendly. Food came out quickly.

It's been several years since we stopped in here so we thought we'd give it another try. It wasn't any better. The most watered down clam chowder I've ever had. I don't think it even qualifies as "chowder". The burger was OK but definitely not worth the prices here. It's a nice restaurant. Seems to be clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly this time but still slow. This isn't a place we'll come back to.

Meet my best friend for get together. Didn't realize that they have Happy Hour every day from 2-6pm and 9pm to close. Which is great for all patrons. I found out that they were celebrating their 15th Years Celebration. In celebrating that they are doing one week of specials on their Original Lemon Drop and the Deluxe Burger. They are rolling back to their original 2009 prices of $7.95 on the Lemon Drop and $8.95 on the Deluxe Burger with choice of side. We both ordered Huckleberry Lemon Drop and I ordered a Deluxe Burger with tater tots. My best friend ordered a Hawaiian Chicken Sliders. The Huckleberry Lemon Drop was delicious. So fruity. Had real huckleberry in it too. It came in a ice glass holder. The rest was in a strainer. There was enough to fill the glass holder 3xs. Our food came. The Hawaiian Chicken Sliders looks so delicious. Came with a slice of ham. I was a tad disappointed how many tater tots came with my burger. I did eat it all. My best friend even ordered another Lemon Drop. This time Pineapple Lemon Drop with salted rim. Highly recommended the Huckleberry Lemon Drop. Best flavor palate. The food is delicious. The Lemon Drop is something to come for at this restaurant.

He has had to ask for a plate on both occasions. He was given a bread plate which is also not appropriate for dinner. The tables are small and by the time your cute "modern" vessels and side dishes arrive, things are being pushed off the table. We've eaten there 4 times and the good tasting refried beans were lukewarm warm each time. We also were never offered a refill on our chips. This should be automatic, well within the overall cost of the entrees. I think it will be a success, but now is the time to make some refinements as it will get more complicated as the summer goes on and the patio is opened bringing in more crowds.

The menu was really interesting - a sushi section which was a fusion of Mexican/American/Japanese, but I was most drawn to their entree favorites. I went with the Carne en su Jugo - our lovely waitress me narrow that down. Their chips and salsa were delicious - the salsa is mild and the chips were perfectly seasoned - love a salty chip. The dish came with handmade corn tortillas which were thick and yummy. The steak was cooked in a salsa verde kind of sauce with crispy crumbled bacon on top, beans and rice. The beef was so tender and delicious! It definitely had some heat to it that builds up. There was a lot of sauce - which actually worked out nicely because I ended up taking home the leftovers, adding some veggies and broth and made a soup out of it! I'm looking forward to trying other things on the menu as this experience was pretty top notch.

After getting sat down, we just... waited. For about 10-15 minutes, nobody showed up. Eventually a server came and took our order in a very disinterested fashion. We ordered a cocktail, the bruschetta appetizer, and then a burger, the king salmon and a plate of chicken pasta in white sauce for the little one. Everything took forever to come out (even the drink), nobody came out to check or refill waters in the 90 minutes we were there. Cocktail (Spring Break) - 5/5 great! Bruschetta - 3/5. Generally good but the bread was carbonized and as hard as a rock. Burger + fries - 3/5. Burger looked sad but was actually pretty tasty, if a little overcooked. Fries looked great (hand cut) but upon us closer inspection in the low light, you could see they were 50% those tiny peel pieces that get burned when frying. Guys! You are supposed to take those pieces out! Salmon - 3/5. Kind of... fine. A little fishy, not really what i expect for King salmon. Chicken pasta for toddler - 4/5. Actually this was delicious (if a bit overcooked) and it will my leftover lunch (toddler didn't eat it but that isn't the pasta's fault). Total bill for everyone, with tip: $126 So pretty mediocre food, downright bad service, and premium pricing. It's a pass from me!

We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. I ordered 2 things and both came out wrong. Our waitress spoke very loudly and we could hear her having long personal conversations with people a couple tables away from us for 10+ minutes at a time, several times. While we waited for her, we ran out of water a few times and I had to ask for more. It was over an hour before our order was even taken. We did flag her down to order an appetizer, brussel sprouts with cheese on the side due to a dairy allergy, but... the sprouts came out with cheese on them. They corrected this fairly promptly, but then we sat for another 45 minutes before our order was actually taken. I ordered a steak as "somewhere between medium & medium well" and she correctly repeated my order back to me "medium/medium well." When the steak came out, it was WELL well done. Like, burnt. I wanted to send it back, but I didn't want to deal with the embarrassment or have to wait even longer for food. We were about an hour & 45 minutes into dinner by the time we got our food. I was so disappointed! I also wanted to get dessert to celebrate the occasion but the service was SO slow that we had to cancel our after-dinner plans. We ordered it anyway & requested the check promptly, giving up on our plans for the rest of the evening. We were only a party of 2, we arrived early for our reservation, & we watched several larger parties come and go while we waited for our order to even be taken. It was a Wednesday night and not overly busy, there were several empty tables, so I'm not sure what the hold up was. We were also seated at an odd table next to the kitchen with a small divider between us and the staff. It was noisy and I even heard 2 staff members exchange a joke about how someone else had left & said they'd never come back. They laughed about it. I wish I had the guts those people had to get up & leave! I've never once left less than a 20% tip and felt immense guilt not tipping well, but after experiencing the poor service then also hearing the staff blatantly acknowledge it & not care.... I was appalled. The Hilton bought the hotel attached to De Fuego and I'm shocked. This was a Monarch hotel before and I'd assume that the Hilton's standards would be higher but the service and quality here have tanked hopelessly low since the acquisition. I had a similar experience at The Underground before it closed. I've learned my lesson & won't come here for a special occasion again.
