Went to Jacqueline for their happy hour $1 oyster deal (12 oysters per round) and it did not disappoint. The oysters came out quickly and were fresh and delicious. All the vinaigrette options were great, but the ponzu was definitely my favorite. We came for the oysters but also ordered the yellowtail crudo and the sweet potatoes, and both dishes were incredible. The only downside was the sparkling water situation. We were told they didn't have large bottles and only offered it by the glass, only to later find out it wasn't actually sparkling water but soda water, which isn't the same and not what we ordered. Aside from that hiccup, the food and happy hour alone make this spot worth visiting. Beautiful cozy space. Perfect for a date night!

Another great visit! This time our group did the "let us cook for you," option as we were a larger party of seven. The menu is set ($90 per), and was maybe the best meal we've had ever. Stands outs were the oysters with a pineapple, mint, chili water shot! Omg! Smoked trout was so big and each bite was perfect. I can't say enough good things about this menu, and for what you're paying for, it's a steal. We were so stuffed. See menu.

Jacqueline has an amazing happy hour! We came in to grab oysters and they were so fresh and delicious. With an array of different hot sauce, mignonette, ponzu, and vinegars made this such a fun experience to mix the sauces to get our perfect oyster bite. I can't remember which drink I got, but I remember it was a creeper and it was so yummy! The lobster roll was great, super pillowy bun, and very buttery. The skewers were good as well. The service was wonderful! The space is super cute and perfect on a summer day. I love being able to see the kitchen while dining.

The food and service at Jacqueline was absolutely fantastic! We shared the oysters, ahi tuna crudo, Caesar, miso butter toasted scallops, mushrooms on crispy polenta, and lobster bun, and it was plenty of food. The crispy polenta & miso scallops were definitely the standouts, so savory! Our server was attentive & had great recommendations from cocktails all the way to dessert. What a lovely meal!

Let me tell ya about the happy hour oysters! Maybe you know, but if not, go to Jacqueline during happy hour and get the oysters. Order 12 and you won't be sorry. I love that they tell you exactly where they come from and point to the area on the map on the menu. They were so fresh and delicious. The Pinot Gris on the HH hour menu was fantastic too! Overall if you are looking for amazing seafood you should go here. The whole trout was delicious. Cute ambiance and we got the window seat. I left feeling full and healthy.

Highly recommend making a reservation. Walk-ins are welcome, but not guaranteed and you will have long wait time. Intimate and perfect for a date night. Service was exceptional. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Loved all the sauces served with the oysters, tuna was fresh, and the scallops were seared perfectly.

If you are a foodie, you have to come dine here! Bring a date or some friends because sharing is highly recommended, plus you can try more dishes! The staff are attentive providing a top notch experience. I could talk at length about every dish we tried, but the pictures speak for themselves. Hamachi crudo was my favorite - loved the pineapple! Oysters are a must! The whole rainbow trout was delightfully prepared. I love this place! The menu changes and I'll be back to see what's new!

My new favorite Portland restaurant. Phenomenal! We ordered like half the menu, and everything was extraordinary. Fish was so so fresh and delicious, the dishes were both seasonal and inventive. Service was great, vibe is a nice balance between nice and relaxed. I cannot wait to go back and try the other half of the menu!!!

First time back since they moved locations and I was SO excited to come back to my favorite oyster happy hour. Their vinaigrettes that come with the oysters are all excellent. The cedar planked trout is also something I tell everyone to order when they come here. Everything we ordered was delicious, down to the housemate focaccia, chef's kiss. Already can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! Next time maybe I won't order the trout to be able to try more, but that one is very hard to resist.

We returned to Jaqueline and received their customary exceptional service, excellent view of the open kitchen/ food runners and my best dinner of 2025. Thank you for the wonderful experience. The intentionally and changing menu keeps this my favorite restaurant in Portland. The scallop dish with mushrooms in broth was the best bite I have had all year. Cheers to Jaqueline's staff both back and front of house.

Made reservations on NYE to finally try Jacqueline. This spot has been on my radar for a few years. I had heard from multiple people that it is fantastic. Our GPS led us to the wrong place and we did not realize until after we walked a block. When we finally got to Jacqueline, staff was friendly and inviting, despite our tardiness. New Years Eve had a Prix Fixe Menu. We opted for the wine pairings. First up, an incredible seafood tower. -summer blues oysters from Hama Hama Oyster Co -smoked Totten inlet mussels w/tom khaki , nam Jim & crispy garlic -yellowfin tuna, ruby red grapefruit, mojo de ajo, pickled serrano, siso -hamachi crudo, charred pickled pineapple, peanuts, mam nem, lime leaf, mint shrimp cocktail w/ Calabrian Chile cocktail sauce. I could have been done here, but no, this was just the start. Next: Maine lobster, lobster bun grilled Belgian endive w/smoked oyster Caesar, boquerones & breadcrumbs Then we had opted for an additional course of champagne & caviar. Why not? It was NYE decadence. Back to the Prix Fixe. Salt Cod cappelletti w/uni butter, bottarga & chervil grilled chinook salmon w/caviar & saffron beurre blanc, celery root cream & black truffles Finally, sponge cake w/ zabaglione, amaretti, chocolate, caramel cara & Campari sorbet. I recall some additional bites, but I did not take notes. It was a perfect NYE dinner. A tough night to pull it off, but Jacqueline delivered. Highly recommend.

I love a tasting experience and i've been eating my way through all of the tasting menus in Portland. Jacqueline was no exception and was a great way to bring me out to this part of town. For under $100 a person (whole table must participate) we had a great way to celebrate a birthday! Their tasting menu has plenty of seafood options and the pacing of the course was done well. The dishes had nice flavor combinations and were really refreshing. The more savory dishes like the larger fillets of fish that were grilled were so tasty. It's a quaint space and service was attentive. Would recommend if you wanted to venture out in this neighborhood with a mainly seafood based tasting menu.

We went here for a date night and had a lovely time. The food was fantastic, drinks were great, and overall vibe was really good. Would rate 4.25.

Is happy hour in the dining room or just at the bar?

    Both!

Do you need a reservation for the oyster happy hour or is there bar seating?

They take very limited reservations due to its small size. If you want a seat at happy hour my best suggestions is to be at the door at least 30 min prior to opening. Last time I was there they checked vaccination status and ID.

Has anyone tried the $55 8 course...if so how are the portions?

A group of four of us all had the chef's choice. It worked out perfectly - each dish was correctly portioned for the table. Unlike trying to share small plates at some places, where you might end up trying to share 3 items 4 ways, everything was… Read more

One thing that bothered me though (and I know maybe I'll get hate for this), is I feel like some of the decor is tone deaf. They have a bunch of colonial men ceramic decor, but they partner with and serve food from a Filipino company. I'm Filipino and it was a bit offensive to me because even if the point of having them is trying to make fun of them, it's not really funny. We were colonized for over 300 yrs and still deal with the trauma from it. Please consider removing the colonial decor. I really enjoyed the bar and want to enjoy it in the future, but I don't think it's necessary to have those things in the bar and doesn't add anything to how cool the bar is apart from that. UPDATE: the bar messaged me. They were super professional and kind in their response. I really appreciate that they were open to my perspective on the colonial items and said they will be removed. Thank you so much!! Looking forward to enjoying the bar in the future
