My friend and I visited here to kill a few hours before our flight. We had a bunch of different food and enjoyed everything. Only negatives: Our server was kinda MIA for most of our visit. We weren't really sure who she was to even flag her down when we needed her. Our food took a long time to arrive. Everything except the mac and cheese. It didn't seem too busy for it to be taking so long but everything was still good and a pleasant experience. Perfect place to chill and enjoy some drinks/snacks with some friends!

The atmosphere is really beautiful, the warm Fire, deep wood colors and leather bar stools make it a very appealing spot. I'm here at happy hour and getting the Brussels sprouts and a cider. All is well in this moment. Thanks for reading.

A nice place to go for a quick happy hour and chill. We ordered a few things to share and had a couple of drinks as well. Their sliders and fries were a must order. The Brussel sprouts portion was generous. I did enjoy their whiskey sour and expresso martini.

Ambiance: 7.5/10 nice open air spot right on a popular street in PDX. Good for a chill first date on a nice night where they have the windows open. Service: 9/10 Trinity was awesome. She was easy to talk with, and happens to be a super talented musician @trinityjane on Spotify. She should get a raise. Food: 6.5/10 Half chicken: I appreciated the use of in season veggies (ie snap peas) but this dish didn't wow me. I thought the chicken was well seasoned and moist . I thought the green sauce and pickled onions went well with the chard broccolini but I probably would try a different dish next time.

Came here on a Thursday for a friend's birthday dinner. She had a reservation so we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and attentive and was patient with us as we waited for all of our party to arrive and to order. The vibe of the place is cozy with fireplaces, lighting, and the intentional bar and dining room seating arrangements. There was also coveted outdoor seating on the side perfect for summer. It was a beautiful sunny day so there were a good amount of people coming in and out. We got drinks and most of their appetizers to share among our group. My favorite was the crispy Brussels sprouts and the crab cakes. The bread was a little more charred than preferred the olive butter was tasty. The steak kebob and Mac and cheese (not pictured) were nice and filling as well. I did not see much of a dessert menu but maybe we had to ask but Papa Haydn is just a block down so we went there after instead. I could see this spot as a great date or friend catch up place with its variety of drinks and food for a relaxing and yummy dining experience.

So cozy! The atmosphere is so charming. We sat at the bar and ordered cocktails. My friend had the Mac n cheese and we ordered the charcuterie board. Everything was delicious. The drinks were so well made and the mulled cider was the perfect warm drink for a chilly fall evening. Grateful how attentive the bartenders were. If I lived in Portland, I would be here often.

Semi-upscale restaurant with nice modern yet cozy decor and a real fireplace in the middle of the restaurant. I had the lavender ginger soda which was nice and refreshing. The clam buccatini is pretty good, the sauce is buttery and garlicky and there is a fiat amount of clam on top. Some of the clam taste less fresh than I would like. The service was good and food came in a reasonable time.

I was in town on vacation and looking for a spot to be able to sit at the bar and grab a nice meal. I was so glad I chose here! The ambiance is very new American chic, the staff are friendly and the bartenders are very attentive. I tried the seasonal pumpkin beer and wasn't a fan so decided on a local ipa instead per the bartenders recommendation. It was a good choice! For the meal I chose a Cesar salad and the chicken pot pie. The salad was not my favorite, solely for the fact the kitchen adds small slivers of lemon peel tossed in, which added a refreshing zest but was bitter when biting into the peel bits making it hard to finish the salad personally. The chicken pot pie is seasonal I was told, but SO good and flavorful with perfectly shredded chicken and a flakey crust to complete it. I was too full for dessert but the options looked great, and I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area!

This has quickly become my partner and I's favorite spot. We've been here multiple times and are always impressed by the amazing service and flavorful food. Tonight, Ana made our experience especially memorable. She was attentive, remembered our gluten-free needs, and even labeled our to-go box--such a thoughtful touch. The attention to detail was truly exceptional. As someone from Las Vegas, this felt like true fine-dining level service.

Perfect for a dog date from start to finish. Easy to reserve a patio spot on Tock. The hostess saw me outside and came to greet me so I didn't have to worry about trying to check in inside with my pup. They brought out a special dog bowl and dog menu in addition to their human menu. Bella's eggs and chicken came out hot and fresh. We both enjoyed the outdoor heaters and weren't cold even though it was 38 degrees outside. Staff were friendly and kind which Bella loved. All my food items and the espresso martini were delicious. Bella and I will definitely be back!

Overall, pretty good breakfast experience. There were some things that were really good and other things that were just average. The steak and eggs was cooked perfectly and not overdone. Definitely something worth trying. The basic breakfast of the eggs and potatoes was just your average eggs and potatoes. Though it is kind of hard to mess up eggs and potatoes. The Dutch pancake was really good. Service was a bit on the slow side so don't go if you are in a time crunch. Also, I think they make their bloody Mary mix homemade possibly if you were looking for that traditional morning bloody Mary this one is a bit different. I could not put an exact reason why it was different but it is not your traditional bloody Mary mix. Try it if you're looking for something new.

The food is excellent and the atmosphere is beautiful outside. Unfortunately the food took way too long and the menu is limited but the portion sizes are great. We were the only table at the beginning and it wasn't that busy and we didn't get checked on once the food was dropped. We also had to get up from the table to pay because the server never came back.

Their happy hour menu items are a great deal! I sat and ordered at the bar. I think the bartender was annoyed that I only ordered food. His irritation wasn't enough to stop me from enjoying the food though! If you're thinking about eating here, I'd maybe recommend eating at a table instead.

However, the food came out at room temperature, so I recommend that the cooks work to find ways to deliver the food items in a way that preserves the temperature prior to having it served. It's possible that this was a one off, but it took away from the experience a bit for me. Parking is an ongoing challenge since it's NW Portland and very few businesses have their own dedicated lot. The drink menu was appealing and their liquor options were impressive. I definitely plan to try again and see if my food experience is a bit more elevated on a second stop. "FREE" Birthday dessert! Yes, I know, there's no such thing, at least not at Momoyama. I did…read moreeventually see the fine print on the birthday email I received from them tha a $20 purchase was required for the "free dessert." Service was adequate, mostly, although some were looking like a deer on headlights. Food was decent but not amazing. When I asked to see the dessert menu so I would know what I had to save room for, they brought it. Then when we were done eating I asked if we could get the dessert to go as I was stuffed. The gal was confused. I showed her the email and she said, we usually serve a scoop of ice cream. I think another person said, "anything with chocolate" is included (there is nothing chocolate on the dessert menu, lol), and eventually the manager came out. He was pretty rude, dismissive, and I was fairly rude back (I just am sooooo tired in this new world of someone trying to rip me off every single day! So then he basically told us to leave. I said I had to wait for our check, and he said, "No, just go." Seeing as I live in the neighborhood, told them so, told them I had been looking forward to coming here again even though I felt the fine print was a bit sneaky, I think it might have been a better plan to "upgrade" my desert from a $7 ice cream to a $12 cheesecake slice rather than cover our $85+ bill, but then I'm no restaurant manager.

O...M...G, I think i'm in love with G-Love. It's been 4 years and this may have even been better…read morethan the 5 stars I gave it 4 years ago. The folks who work at and operate this establishment, and the Love Shack next door, are simply masterminds. I feel like I'm entering a love fest, greeted by the friendliest of people and served with excellence by several staff members. A big shout out to Tyler who made us feel like family and served us from start to finish with efficiency, kindness, and exceptional care. From the moment you enter G-Love, you feel like you chose the right spot to celebrate life, a moment, or to spend time with family and friends. The drink menu: why is everything so enticing? I can hold my liquor, but not well enough to try all the things that tempted me. Luckily we love sharing and getting tastes of one another's libations. Here goes: We started with The Cecilia, The Princess Peach, and a Matchstick Martini, as well as a Diet Coke for the responsible one at the table. Even the taste of the Diet Coke is elevated, or was that just me? Maybe it was the eco-friendly straw... For food, please don't judge. I live in LA and when I come here, I feel like I may not get another opportunity to come back so I need to try it all. Is that gluttony or wonderful gastronomique decision making? 1. The Crusty Avocado - crusted with coco-blackspice seeds, drizzled with Yuzu and lemon, filled with delightful Ahi Tuna, and a bit of caviar. 2. Fingerling Potatoes - Don't pass these little gems up, as well as the delightful sauces they are served with. A must. 3. Focaccia di Formaggio - couldn't just order one for the table, we needed 2, and it still felt like we could have devoured more. Just kidding, carry on. 4. Broccoli Caeser - traditional with some parmesan and breadcrumbs, but the miso caesar dressing and lemon make it unique and delicious. 5. Garden Peas - I LOVE THIS, did I have to share... YES. served with a citrus yogurt, a macadamia nut pesto, and schmaltz. Get the PEAS says me never, but I do now. 6. Crunchmaster Crisp - maybe my favorite, still up for debate. Charred cabbage, crispy shallots and garlic (already a fan), hazelnuts, apples and Kel's onions. Do not miss this. 7. Hamachi Crudo - This is one of my absolutes, hands down, delicious dishes that shouldn't be overlooked. Divine pieces of sliced hamachi crudo, with a coconut cream and some other delicious things that I can't remember. I blame it on Cecilia. 8. Carrots and Citrus - Not only was this beautiful, it was another one of the dishes that I wished didn't end. Brown butter, pistachio, chili crunch, Tom Kha Vinaigrette. Garrett, where are you so that I can hug you for this dish? 9. Asparagus a la Plancha - fiddleheads, miso-lemon hollandaise, egg yolk, and crispy potato. And you thought this was ironed asparagus. Guess again. Delicious. 10. McFarland Springs Trout - perfectly cooked trout, with smoked buttermilk, cilantro puree, garnished with arugula radish salad. 11. Spring Tagliatelle - served with a broccoli dill pesto, garlic confit, pancetta, and fried anchovy breadcrumbs. You had me at anchovy. 12. Fried Chicken - finger lickin good, truly. No need for the Colonel to get worried, as this fried chicken is in another category. Superb. 13. Pork belly skewers & Scallop Skewers - tasty small bites of perfection. Don't pass these up. How many of us are dining you ask? Five. Shhhhhhh,. Dessert? Really, YES. Since there were 5 of us, we got all three. Of course we did. 1. Milk Chocolate: butterscotch, baby popcorn and honeycomb. 2. Whip-a-licious: Passion fruit curd, lime meringue, coconut crack. 3. Golden Cloud: Golden milk sorbet, cardamom, masala, honey caviar, and chamomile. My family says: 5***** to all, I simply couldn't. Thank you G-Love and staff for making my last night in Portland with our family so memorable. From the welcoming to the departure, this is etched in my heart and mind as an all time favorite experience. Tyler, you are amazing. Thank you for your service and kindness. Garrett, you have a great thing going on. Congratulations for choosing wonderful staff to serve your exceptional food and drinks. In a world where you can go anywhere, folks should go here (and The Love Shack). I can't express my appreciation enough for this amazing and memorable experience.
