Grilled chicken sandwich- made with three chicken tenders- it's good
    Holly K.

I have driven past this place for years, when my son finally said we should try somewhere different for lunch and go in. There were two drunk twenty-somethings out front on the picnic table and we became apprehensive immediately. I know it is a bar, but at 11 am, you aren't quite ready to listen to two very loud drunks. I live in a small town and believe me, I know the scene, no where else to eat but the local bars, at times. Once inside, it was just us and one other guy. It is brighter than any bar I have been in, and very clean. It looked more like any other restaurant. The waitress came right over, took our orders. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my son got their signature burger and an order of hot wings. The wings took about fifteen minutes to come out and they were, actually, too spicy hot to eat, and that is saying a lot since my son loves extreme heat, but my salad came out about ten minutes after the wings and then another ten minutes or so for our food to hit the table. Once our food came, the waitress/bartender and the cook from the back, both went outside to join the girls that were out front. They were both gone the entire time we ate the main dish. Not impressed with that part of it, but I would have preferred them to stay out since the two women followed them in, and proceeded to yell at the lottery machines. Yep, I wished I had won the lottery, too, but wasn't cussing the machine out. The chicken was good, only complaint, it was three chicken tenders that kept sliding off the ciabatta bun. I posted a picture of the burger my son ordered, it looked pretty, but he right away said it was nearly impossible to eat, and he is adventurous. We had cut our sandwiches in half and shared, and I immediately thought of meatloaf when I took my first bite of the burger, so I was over it. He left half of his half behind. He did say it was pretty good though, but too much. When we first sat down, we said we'd go back, but I am not sure if they will make it to the list of places, even though the food wasn't all that bad. The waitress was nice but as I said before, she was outside the entire time we were eating, so no refills right away.

    Best Bloody Marys around!

The food is good, and the bartenders, including Cheyanne, Karen and Valerie are amazing!

The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out hot. The sides (especially the tater tots and fries) were crispy and well done. We chose to sit outside, and the patio area was clean, comfortable, and made for a really nice dining experience. Service was friendly and efficient--our food came out quickly without sacrificing quality. Overall, a great spot with good food and great service. I'd definitely come back.

Not bad, until right after we sat down, 2 kids showed up with a wallet (dads?) and started playing their little arcade games. Bad enough, as they were pretty loud, arguing because the boy wouldn't let the girl play, but one game squeaked so badly, non stop. They were in by 20-30 dollars, and still playing when we left. The family came by twice, did nothing, the server did nothing about the noise (maybe unplug it?!), and we finished our dinner as quickly as possible and left. (There were no free tables to move to, I guess, because there was only 2 of us) It is sad that this very otherwise nice restaurant feels that they need to put in arcade games, unserviced clearly by the noise), right next to dining tables and think that's ok. Because it was Christmas, I didn't speak out, but I will never go back. When so little attention is paid to the comfort of guests, instead catering to children's toys, I will spend my money elsewhere where I am respected. Disappointing visit.

They welcomed us in and we were delighted with their delicious food. I'm a fish & chips girl, always in search of the best. This pub hit the spot! They make their own beer batter, which perfectly enrobes the mild cod. The pieces were huge! The fries were excellent. Normally fish & chips in this county come with a little cup of coleslaw. It helps me feel like I ate something nutritious along with my fried food! But Ye Olde Pub makes you choose between sides and it doesn't automatically come with their fish & chips. I liked their tartar sauce though. It was creamy and had a hint of sweetness, just how I like it. I guess I'll overlook the absence of coleslaw in my basket. My husband ordered their Reuben sandwich. He thought it was great. He got coleslaw but that counted as his side. I shared some of my fries with him. Rethink the coleslaw, Ye Olde Pub. Who cares if you don't get it at ye old pubs in England. In the USA we kinda expect it. Thanks! I'd dock you a star if the fish hadn't been so amazing!

It's the first building on the right as soon as you drive under the "Troutdale Gateway to the Gorge" arch. We were greeted as soon as we entered by a very friendly gentleman who sat us in a booth. The interior is raw wood walls and floors with a variery of colorful wall art including license plates, soccer team scarves over the windows and drawings. Very laid back vibe. Full bar is available with local beers on tap and a seasonal cocktail list at the table. The menu is Irish-American pub foods. We ordered a small Caeser salad with grilled chicken and a reuben with an upgraded side salad. The salad was fresh and the dressing tasty. Plenty of croutons and cheese on there. The reuben is thankfully not grilled in a pound of grease which makes for a messy meal. Instead it is toasted. The slaw on there has a very nice vinegar note and has a crunch to it. Lots of gooey cheese and plenty of salty meat. The combination of flavors and textures is well done. If we find ourselves back in the area we will absolutely return for the vibe and the food.
