We came in for a late brunch on a Sunday and sat in the bar. Clean place with friendly service! I got the eggs Benedict and it was pretty standard, a little disappointed in the poached eggs because I like mine runny. Home style potatoes were delicious and hot. We've lived in Sandy for 4 years and have never stopped in at Ria's. We wanted to try something different in town. We dined in the restaurant. We were seated right away and everyone was super nice. We ordered the surf n' turf dinner. It was perfect. Overall a great first experience. The bar was super rowdy as most bars are on a Saturday evening. our server was very attentive, but the fish and chips was piss poor at best..... I think I counted a total of 11 fries on my plate... the two pieces of fish had little flavor and were slightly undercooked... the tartar sauce was decent.... but what was supposed to be coleslaw came and said as rock cabbage with nothing on it and I'm not sure how most people feel about rock cabbage, there is certain dishes it's appropriate for, but my feeling is that if you advertise coleslaw you should get coleslaw not rock cabbage in a bowl without dressing.... had it not been wilted I might have taken a bite of it to see how terrible it was.... read more

I loved coming here and there is one spectacular bartender who treats us really well so it's unfortunate to write this. I found a dark hair in my food and was waiting for the right time to say something. Once another waiter came by with our checks, I pointed it out and was told that I should have mentioned it sooner before a check was printed, making me feel like an inconvenience for their wrongdoing. There was absolutely no sorry, remorse or shame for having hair in my food. Very rude service that made me feel like it was somehow my fault that a hair the complete opposite color of mine was found in my food... common courtesy seems lost on this individual. read more

Went here for brunch on mothers day, and was EXTREMELY disappointed. The staff was rude, totally unhelpful, and we waited over an hour for our food, and had to ask the waitress several times just to get our drinks refilled. After an hour and a half of waiting for our meal, we left. I would absolutely not recommend this place, and I hope their poor customer service improves, or this business will not last long! read more

I love this place, my favorite bar to go to in sandy, ria is awesome and so friendly. We've been going there for breakfast, lunch and dinner here and there for almost 3 years and are always greeted and treated nicely, and if you ever have any issues, they are very nice about correcting them for you. Stop on by if your rolling through town, grab a pitcher, play some pool, have a smoke outside on their private patio and chat about whatever, play slots, watch the game...either way you choose, there's lots to do and it's a comfortable environment to just sit back eat some food and have a drink. read more

This place is hit-or-miss...not that there is a lot to choose from in Sandy but it seems like if one waitress/bartender is in a bad mood...look out, they all are. Seem to be very impersonal and easily overwhelmed. 7:30pm Friday November 7th: I got a yelp account just to write this review because I was so upset with how I was treated here. As a bartender/waitress myself, I know how the industry works and normally have compassion and understanding and always tip 20%. I have been into Ria's twice since it opened. Once with my dad to have a drink and play a round of pool (good experience). The second was to meet up with a few of my dad's friends he hadn't seen in years and watch the football game (great experience then as well. Food came out wrong, but they fixed it and didn't charge which was awesome. Service was great and the waitress was nice and attentive). Ria's was never my top choice in bar to go to, but my dad knew the over very well and insisted that this weekend we go there to celebrate my 25th birthday with my family. Have some drinks and play some pool. I arrived before my family and got a table in the corner. The bartop was full and the brown haired maybe mid 30's bartender noticed me and came right over, which was nice. She asked to see my ID and I gladly handed it over with excitement for her to notice today was my birthday. She stared at my picture for a long time and then at me and said "I was told to look out for you." At first I thought she was joking and that it had something to do with my dad knowing the owner. But then she was very clear that I must be trouble or something. I was shocked. Only being here twice and never being one to be a hot mess, I was instantly offended. I told her she must be mistaken cause I've only been there twice with my family and I'm from Portland. She said that the name and face she was pretty sure it was the same person. Knowing that there is no way she could be talking about me I got angry. She said "don't worry about it, I don't remember who told me but I'm pretty sure it was you. What would you like to drink?" I told her "honestly, I don't know if I want to stay anymore." My family then walked in the door with balloons and presents and she instantly realized it was my birthday. My family could easily tell I was upset and I explained to them what just happened. They were shocked and confused as well. When she came back, she noticed my sister who is newly 21 and first time at a bar. She points at my sister and says "you look 15 I'm going to need to see your ID." Then we figure out my sister had left it at home in Beaverton. She starts to cry thinking she ruined my birthday and the bartender tells us we can't stay. Which I know and is the law. Not a big deal at all. I tell my sister after the way the bartender treated me I didn't want to stay anyways. So here are my problems with this bartender. If she thought I was whoever this person was that she needed to look out for, than she should have 1. Given me the benefit of the doubt. 2. Been professional and kept her comments to herself and just kept a close eye on me. 3. You don't tell someone they are trouble just by something you've heard, it's rude and horrible customer service. I was extremely offended. My second problem with her is rudely telling my sister she looked 15. That comment was uncalled for and very unprofessional. She simply only needed to say "can I please see your ID?" Not attack my sisters appearance and make her feel like a child. I will never go back to Ria's after this experience. The bartender did give me a free birthday shot but that does not make up for her attitude and rudeness. I hope she doesn't treat all customers like that. read more

Normally a good place to grab a beer and do some people watching but if the blonde bartender is working, your chances of getting a drink are pretty slim. If you're related to the owner, she'll charm your pants off but paying customers have to wait 10 minutes to get a beer on a slow night and request to close their tab several times. Most of the other bartenders are great. Decent atmosphere but can be a little hit or miss. read more
