We stopped in here for a late dinner around 7:30pm. We were greeted and told to choose a seat we liked. Our server was friendly and helped us with our choices. It's a nice location with lots of seating, a full bar and dine in table service. We ordered a couple of appetizers, tacos, and a burger. I'm not able to say that everything was good. The appetizers were undercooked. The garlic knots were actually slightly gummy in the middle and the pickle spears were cold. Neither had much flavor to them at all. The tacos and burger were the same. Not served hot, just lukewarm, and lacking flavor. Maybe it was the time of day or just an off day but the entire meal was definitely not worth the price we paid. We likely won't return but if you're looking for a local dine in place I can see this being a place with lots of room to meet up with friends and/or family. read more

Fried pickles were okay, but the breading had no real flavor, the Onion rings tasted a bit fishy like they just made fish in the same oil. The had the tri tip dip and It had a lot of potential, but with no salt it was just bland (adding salt at this point didn't help). We were pleasantly surprised with the variety presented in the new menu. We played it safe and ordered burgers and were extremely pleased with our choices. Tots and fries were perfectly cooked, and the burgers were beyond criticism. My Smoke Jumper was delicious and creamily spicy. My wife and I have eaten here a handful of times and have found that the staff can be a little rude sometimes. My wife ordered something without onions on it, and they said with an attitude that they would bring for another one, like it was my wife's fault. but what they did was just scraped some of the onions off the plate and brought her back the same thing. Another time we went there and another one brought everybody's food out, but my wife we were pretty much done eating by the time she got her food, The only reason we would probably eat here again is that there was nothing else open. Scooter's is located just off Highway 26 in Sandy. There is parking lot on the backside of the restaurant but you can also park by Scoop n' Swirl and Grocery Outlet.  We showed up around 630pm on Friday for dinner. They were packed! They have a sign at the entrance directing you to seat yourself at a table. There are booths in the bar and tables in the non-bar area. The server in the non-bar area was quick to acknowledge us and let us know she'd be back after she got to the table next to us.  Ordered the Forager (Mushroom Swiss Burger) and the Smoke Jumper burger sub fried chicken breast. They do a great fried chicken breast! The Forager's patty was overcooked and dry. I was bummed. We opted for tater tots and french fries and a variety of sauces- ranch, honey mustard,  an aioli.  Our server was great! She was attentive and checked on us multiple times. Prices are reasonable and also offer a kids menu.  Happy Hour is offered 3-6 pm daily and all day Sunday. read more

WARNING. Just got back from Scooter's in Sandy. There were 5 of us - Red Hatters. We enjoy getting together and chatting. Waitress took our order right away and then we visited. THIRTY minutes later two of the 5 of us got our food. By the time the 5th person got her food the first two were completely done. Waitress said today was the FIRST day of this chef. Great. Coleslaw needed sugar; pork was over seasoned and the tri tip sandwich was dry and skimpy. One thin dry piece overcooked. The cherry on the cake was there were 3 flies at our table annoying us. The waitress said they come in when the door opens. A more lame excuse would be hard to find. ALL restaurants have doors and this is the ONLY restaurant with flies around your food. I love the food. im not a beer or wine drinker. But every time I go there my drinks are watered down I watched the bartender who is very young make my drink. They put water in little ice shot of vodka lots of cranberry. When you order a vodka with a splash of cranberry you fill the bucket glass not a pint glass with ice then you pour vodka at least half because it's full of ice. Then add just a splash of cranberry simple. The people they hire are all young and pretty but have no clue how to make a drink. I've had to return them every time. Stopped in here to meet up with an old friend that I haven't seen in about a decade he was staying in the Sandy area and decided to come in. The food came out hot and the alcohol was strong, but I didn't try many items as qe just sat and talked at the bar. I will say I was incredibly surprised at how early this place closes. I know that Sandy shuts down pretty early as I live in Gresham but let that be in the back of your head if you plan on staying later and then about 10 o'clock. The staff was very nice and very funny very accommodating even though we stayed a little bit past closing time but we tipped accordingly. I wish we got a little more time there that day and could have got a couple more drinks and things to eat but it is what it is just make sure you're checking your times before you show up unlike this guy... Definitely a cleaner bar than it would look like on the outside it's not as divey you'd think... Oh my goodness the absolute BEST Mac and cheese I've ever had!!!! And excellent service!!! Server (Laura) was beyond fantastic!! As I was wobbling about a couple things, Mac and cheese included, she said, "The Mac is the bomb! And, get it with the crispy chicken!!" The roasted beet salad added salmon with mixed greens shaved fennel beets Parmesan golden raisin pesto balsamic glaze and almonds in a pink peppercorn vinaigrette was fancy and a wonderful dish (a cut above your a typical sports bar). Chicken fingers and French fries was an abundant portion of crispy battered tender white meat chicken that we ended up with leftovers. Server Jen M was very attentive and helpful with our food selections. The house margaritas were good and beer prices on happy hour made this a win for us. The deco is pretty much sports bar vs restaurant and had a positive vibe. It was a little cold inside however it was one of those Oregon days outside. Staff is friendly and attentive. The two bartenders I see most are Jen and Phoenix and both of them are fantastic people. They are friendly, talk to you, make sure your food comes out right, makes sure your glass isn't empty. Servers are nice too, just don't know their names to give shout out... Tried them today for the first time as I was craving some pizza. They sell Detroit style pizza. I ordered my regular 4 topping favorite and it did not disappoint!! The crust is delicious and the sauce has a great flavor, and the toppings were piled on high!! And it was not overly greasy. I will be back to try their fish and chips as I heard they were good. So many other restaurants just pick from the same restaurant chain food services frozen food list...all their food is basically the same fried food. Scooter's is actually a scratch kitchen! This means they hand bread their chicken strips. The quality of their food is also consistently better than the others. The real secret is their salmon.
