A pub, but great food, prices and good service!!! Hidden gem. They don't look like much but their food is great and reasonable in price!!!

I hadn't been here for years, and hubby and I decided to stop here for dinner this week. We shouldn't have waited so long because it was a wonderful stop! The pub was clean and bright, and we found a booth right away. The inside the door said to let the bartender know if we'd snuck in :-), so that's what we did. Our server brought our menus right away; we both ordered cheeseburgers, and they arrived really quickly, with a smile from our server. We were really hungry, so dug right in. Our burgers were fantastic! I told hubby that it was one of the very best burgers I'd ever had, and he agreed. The fries were crispy and delicious, too. We appreciated the fact that even though there were people at the bar, it was set back behind the partitions enough that it wasn't at all noisy where we were seated. I want to give extra credit to our server, Cathleen. She was friendly and attentive, gave us great service, and always had a great smile on her face. She's definitely an asset to this pub. All in all, this was a great dining experience for us, and we'll be back soon! Thanks so much; it's so wonderful to have such a great place to eat right in our home town. read more

Pretty damn good! We were a bit nervous about eating at a "pub" but the food was surprisingly good. We will be back for sure next time we're in the Damascus area. read more

Just a great neighborhood pub! Drinks and food is always good. Things are clean and people are friendly

This review has been years late for how good their food really is. Breakfast clubs are hard to find and theirs tastes great with thick cut bacon. Another breakfast favorite of mine is their stacked breakfast, comes with ham but you can sub sausage or bacon. Mimosa bar Saturday and Bloody Mary bar Sunday. If you live in East happy valley, one of the best breakfast spots around for sure. read more

First time coming here, won't be my last. Wife ordered the cod sandwich (tasted like a filet-o-fish as a kid! Except waaaaay better). The clubhouse sandwich I got is the best I've had in years. Had breakfast. Bacon was over cooked to a crisp, French toast was burnt on the bottom, coffee grounds in coffee, and extra crispy Hass browns. Only two waitresses running their butts off to keep up, working extra-long hours that exceed state labor laws. read more

Food is always consistent. This is our favorite breakfast spot. They often run a mimosa special on Saturday and a bloody Mary bar on Sunday. It is owned and run by such good people too. read more

Wow, the service is truly as bad as what the previous reviews state. I walked in and seated myself, the waitress came over and asked if I wanted coffee, I said just water please. Five minutes later an older couple walked in, the waitress brought them water, coffee took their order and I hadn't even been brought me a water yet. Very rude and terrible customer service! Good luck with that business model, you'll need it. I definitely won't be back and I'll be sure to let everyone know if they plan on stopping in Damascus to avoid this place. read more

In the middle of no-where (well, to myself anyways) pub with an awesomely friendly staff, pretty good food, and awesomely priced drinks! Came here with a family friend over the weekend for some early morning breakfast. Chicken fried steak was ok and their gravy was a bit too peppery for my taste, but my oh my overall it tasted good and I scarfed that thing down like no ones business. And can we say delicious Spanish Coffee....for $5!!!!! If this place wasn't so far away it would be my new hangout. Sports were playing, the locals were chatting. It was great fun! read more

I understand the need to raise prices due to closures and 50% seating. $11.95 for a chef salad barely 1/2 filled the bowl, processed cheese and meat, one egg, two tomato slices, maybe 2 cups of lettuce. Table had rings from prior guests glasses....so was it even wiped? Watched the server wipe a table guests had left and 50% wiped, did not touch the edges of table, wiped seats and gave a random spray of cleaner on one seat. TERRIBLE. We live in Damascus and have tried coming here multiple times! the first time we came in on a Sunday morning and waited at least 10-15 minutes before being waited on. There was a large group, multiple other people and one waitress! Today we decided to give it another shot. We came in with our 2 young kids (who aren't the most patient) and ordered 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and a ham sandwich. We waited for ONE HOUR... no one checked in on us it told us that it would be a while or why we were waiting. I understand things happen and restaurants get busy and slow but no communication between our waitress and us and trying to control 2 kids from flipping out waiting for an hour with no food. It was insane, let us know it may be a while at the very least... she just avoided ya the whole time. Another family walked out after waiting for probably just as long and the waitresses looked so confused why they wound have left. The don't even have a clue. It was a terrible experience and terrible customer service. We will Not be back !!! read more

I love this place! It's nothing fancy, just a humble pub in a small town, but when you want good food and drinks without a lot of fuss, this is a great choice. Despite being inexpensive, the drinks aren't weak and the steak is so good. I've ordered steaks from other restaurants for upward of $35 and been disappointed. Yet at Pub 212, I can get a steak for $15 that is cooked exactly to the temperature I requested, flavorful and filling. (I'm not a food snob or critique, I just know what a medium rare steak should look like.) They have more than just dinner too. The breakfasts are great too. Part of the pub's appeal is the friendly staff. On just our second visit, we were treated like regulars who'd been coming there for years. The waitress remembered exactly what we'd ordered the time before. I was impressed. I've been back several times since, sometimes just dinner for two, other times a meal for the whole family, and we intend to eat here for years to come. read more

Horrible service, I live close and have been in here numerous times only because of the convenience not anymore I always wait 15 minutes if not more to even have someone walk up to my table!!! Damascus needs another restaurant!!! read more

Better food and service at Shari's, First time eating there, was drawn in by the Prime-rib special. When we arrived at 6:40 pm, there were about 4 tables being used the rest still had dishes on them. We were not sure weather we should wait to be seated to just sit down so we waited until we saw another family (Large size group) come in behind us and just sit down. When I asked I was told, they needed to clean the tables, so we sat and waited. Then the younger server, who also told us to just sit down, went past us and waited on the other table. We waited 20 minutes before the older more polite server realized we had been waiting so long (at this point, I was timing it, because I was honesty about ready to get up and walk out with my wife). When the older waitress finally came back, we told her we were disappointed with getting skipped, we told her that we already knew what we wanted to order, the Prime-rib special. She politely told us it was sold out and then asked what we would like to drink. At this point, I still should have gotten up and walked out, but I thought there was a chance the food might be really good and this lady was nice. We got water, which took another 15 minutes. When she finally returned my wife and I went and order the, "Gary's choice" which was supposed to be Rib-eye 12oz for $19.95 and and they were out of bake potatoes (No biggie on the potatoes) we then waited another 40 minute for our food and when it arrived, my wife had asked for Au jus sauce and horse radish, but never got it. never had or water refilled either. The steak were absolutely ridiculous, If they were even really Rib-eye. It was tough, hard to chew and loaded with fat, and not marbleizing fat like Rib-eye has. These steaks were more like the type I would get with my eggs in the morning. Never again will I eat her. And for the younger waitress she was just rude from beginning to end. For the record, I did leave a $5.00 tip which was more then I should have left. read more

Food is good, only good bartender they had no longer works there. The bar side is extremely cramped and the regulars act like they are kings and queens, A majority of the people seem to know everyone but I did not find the employees personable at all. I really don't feel like speaking rudely and disrespectfully to and about a customer to another customer is appropriate and I was appalled by their behavior. However when the bartender is waitressing on the family side, they are fine but slow. read more

I'm working in the area and I heard good things about this place so I stopped in for lunch. Wow so very disappointing. So there were three of us in the bar and 3 full tables in the restaurant part. Took 15 minutes to get a glass of water. Ordered a bowl of chili and the special half sandwich. 30 minutes pass still no food. Ask the bar tender about my food. She apologies and says not sure what happened. Food comes and the cook didn't put the cheese and onions on the chili as ordered. I couldn't tell my waitress because I never seen her again till I asked for my shceck. Remember I'm sitting at the bar where I can be seen. So obviously I would rate this place as one of the worst places I've been and would tell anyone not to waist there time stopping in. read more

This is pretty much the only restuarant in the whole little city of Dmascus. Luckily its good. Your typical pub food done right. Good service, portions, and prices. It's good to know I dont have to drive out of town for a good bite. read more
