    Dirty between table slats.

To preface, I love a dive. However, the food I consumed here and the cleanliness of the establishment was disappointing. Customer service was lacking. The bar wasn't even a little busy but the customer service was abysmal, we spoke to our server maybe four times total, she was always running around but hardly seemed to talk to our group at least. I didn't bother drinking at this bar, that was lowkey how bummed I was to find it in this condition. I wouldn't trust the hygiene at this establishment to be frank. I did eat the garlic cheese bread, I'm only human.

Stopped at McCools while in town for an event. With a desperately hungover partner in tow we couldn't hold out for the Pho or Ramen we usually go for. Partner needed booze and McCools was the closest place to provide. I remember coming here back in the day when I managed a band and everything seems the same. They serve all hours and do breakfast. They have the typical staples. Eggs, hash, CFS, pancakes and all the little bells and whistles. I went for a English muffin breakfast sandwich. My partner went straight for the whiskey. We sat at the cozy bar next to the regulars with a few dinners at the tables and booths. They have plenty of room and can host large parties. Our bartender was a straight shooter. Nice guy. He served us promptly. My breakfast sandwich came without the sausage but I didn't care. I wanted something lite and lite I received. The bartender slashed the price and apologized. No problem. Overall just an average pub. A-Okay.

This run of the mill pub sits on the corner of the Safeway parking lot with its bright neon signs. Parking is pretty awful since it's located right by the entrance and exit. We ended up parking a few shops away closer to Shari's. It's pretty dark in there and fairly loud but fun and carefree. We were able to book an entire area free of cost for 20 people in anticipation of a going away party. I was able to check in early to work on some decorations. Multiple staff were very gracious about getting me set up with water while I decorated. As people trickled in, they were able to keep track of everyone's orders with only a few mistakes, which they amended immediately. They were very good about remembering our names and took the time to get to know us. Food was standard American fare. Portions were relatively generous. Taste was decent. Getting food on our table did take some time. Overall, what I recommend most is the service. Everyone was outgoing and attentive. And renting the space was complimentary which is so difficult to find. Will no doubt keep this restaurant in mind for the future, especially for smaller events!

Burgers are great, we get it to go so the ambiance is irrelevant but the service is great too.

I used to go here a lot but recently they got expensive and service not all that great. Their menu also slimmed down.

Not bad, but not great. Nothing really stands out as far as the food goes. I get the impression the effort if more on the bar aspect.

I'm surprised by the other low-ish reviews here. The food and service has always been pretty solid each of the times I've been. The only disappointment is that their menu is a bit more limited than their other establishments, likely due to the smaller kitchen. The sandwiches and burgers are better than average, and the salads pretty fresh. You can never go wrong with McM Cajun tots anywhere. And I really think their beers have gotten much better in the last 10 yrs or so. Prices can be a little high, so it's not a weekly lunch spot for me, but happy to hit this place up for the PNW coziness of McM's for dinner once in awhile. Being where it is, sadly they don't have any outdoor seating for when the weather is nice.

It may have been the very worst hamburger I have ever had! It was dry and the edges so burnt that it was black and tasted like charcoal - the cheese was at the edges also black - I thought that maybe these were cooked over and open flame but no the griddle was plainly visible. I walked around the pub trying to get a manager or someone to see this mess but waitresses just skirted around me. I did not want to ruin the others lunch so I did not make a fuss - I did however see the issue -the griddle is behind the bar and 2women very busy with other chores left it entirely unmanned... so someone need to step up - could have gone to a fast food place and had a better burger!!! I opted for a salad to go with -really disappointing - literally the "stumps " to the head of lettuce was in my serving -everything pale and edged brown -tomatoes so pale and uninviting - wow just awful!!!! SOMEONE HAS GOT TO PAY ATTENTION!!!!

There were many large seating area available. One main cedar table was a big attraction. There is a fireplace with a table by it We got a table. I ordered a Borgona, fruit puree juices mix with Sprite. Never had one, but sounded really good. It came and it was delicious and fruity for a mocktail. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. Cook perfectly and easy to devour quickly. DeFuego Nachos had Jalapenos. But wasn't listed. The nachos were delicious and it was quickly devoured. Wings came in 4 wings with garlic parmesan with carrots and celery and ranch on the platter. Heavily garlic on the wings yet very delicious. Half wedge salad was a surprise how much there is in the salad. A lot of fresh veggies there with cherry tomatoes and sliced radishes in it. I had a absolutely fun experience celebrating my birthday here. DeFuego had Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, seven days out of the week. Seems the Happy Hour here is very popular. You have 21 appetizers to choose from on the Happy Hour Menu. There are Mocktails, and any drinks you want available. Definitely will come back again.

Really disappointing experience here, especially considering the price point and atmosphere the…read morerestaurant presents itself with. From the moment we walked in, the experience felt disorganized and unwelcoming. There was no signage or direction about where to check in, and multiple staff members ignored us while talking amongst themselves until we finally approached someone directly. We were then told -- somewhat dismissively -- that we were in the lounge and needed to check with the restaurant host instead. When we went to the host stand, we were told the restaurant was fully booked for hours, but that we could still eat in the lounge area with open seating. The interaction from the hosts came across condescending rather than hospitable or accommodating. Back in the lounge, many of the tables still hadn't been bussed and several still had checks sitting on them. Since we were only a party of two, we ended up taking a smaller table that at least appeared cleaned off, although it still had the previous bill sitting there. After sitting down, we were ignored for quite a while before anyone finally acknowledged us. Unfortunately, the food experience didn't improve things. I ordered the portobello mushroom burger with a gluten-free bun, mango habanero wings, and two glasses of the house red. Nobody informed me they were out of gluten-free buns until the burger arrived already lettuce wrapped. If that had been communicated beforehand, I would have ordered something else entirely instead of paying full price for what felt like a substitute version of the dish. The burger itself was underwhelming -- mostly greasy onions, mayo, unripe green tomatoes, and the mushroom wrapped in lettuce. I ended up just eating the portobello itself and leaving the rest. Since the fries are apparently gluten battered, the server recommended the side salad instead. I specifically requested no cheese due to dietary restrictions, but the salad still came out covered in cheese and had to be remade. The replacement salad was extremely bland and appeared to have little or no dressing, so I barely touched it either. The wings were the final frustration. They didn't arrive until over an hour after ordering -- long after the rest of the food had already been served. Visually, the sauce looked less like mango habanero and more like melted cheese poured over the wings, which honestly made them pretty unappetizing by the time they finally arrived. I understand restaurants get busy, especially on weekends, but basic communication, attentiveness, and hospitality matter -- especially when guests are paying premium prices. Between the confusing entrance experience, dismissive service, ignored dietary requests, poor food execution, and excessive wait times, this ended up being a frustrating and surprisingly unpleasant experience overall.
