This was the burger I needed! Wichita Pub blends in to its surroundings, but once you are inside it's a whole new world! The service was great and we put our order in fast. The fries gizzard appetizer was first out. I know that sounds funky, but it is delicious. Fried to perfection in an amazing batter. Dipped in ranch it is devine! The mushroom bacon burger was cooked beautifully and the bun was soft and fresh. The krinkle fries were also cooked to a beautiful golden brown. Every part of the meal was great. I can't wait to get back to try out more options off this great menu!

I'm only giving them 3 stars. Not for the food but for the servers. There was a dark haired one & an older gal. It's a pub so basically what you get is what a pub is- not the nicest intro. One of my friends showed up & said what table she was going to & the dark haired girl said "Are you sure you want to sit with them?" Insinuating what? Just because you don't get a full introduction doesn't mean you should be unprofessional. The good is decent. To come back or not? I won't. Best of luck to the owner.

    Karaoke!

Very good food. Comfortable neat environment. Competent friendly staff. Karaoke on fri & sat night. Glad I jumped in there. Leilah works the bar in the day and killed it. I'd be a regular if I didn't live in CA.

This local bar located off highway 212 is a great stop when you are feeling hungry and wanting a drink. Leila is one of the nicest servers I have met at this establishment. The chicken quesadillas is a must if you are feeling hungry. The screwdrivers are always on par. The bar vibe offers a great ambiance of having lunch or dinner. Overall a great place to visit if you are in the area.

Arrived on an overcast spring Sunday at 12:30. We found a small booth right away and were immediately greeted and ordered beers. After looking over the pretty large menu, my date ordered the Swiss dip burger with cole slaw and I ordered the Mushroom, bacon cheese burger with fries. Our server recommended a great beer for me that had a high IBU. Prices are reasonable for today's pub menus. They do have a Happy-hour Mon - Fri 3-6pm. Beers were $6.75 each. Food came to our table in about 20 minutes. Food comments: burgers were unquestionably well done. My fries might have benefited from another 30 seconds in the fryer. Mushrooms were there but were over cooked and didn't add to the flavor. Overall service was great. Would we return: sure, we'd come back.

Have been coming for years, always busy. But food comes out quickly, service is quick and friendly, prices are reasonable. My husband is a taco aficionado and they have taco night on Mondays! Hallelujah he's in heaven! Poker machines are heavily used, some people put up signs and pretend to go out to smoke, but go to deli next door or Chinese food around the corner and never come back!!! This time I had taco salad and he of course had tacos....lol

And speaking of that Old Fashioned: at $11, it's easily the best you'll find anywhere around here. I've tried them all, and this one stands out. The food is just as impressive. The Tamale Boy nachos are the best nachos I've ever had--no exaggeration. And the Ranch Pizza? Incredible. It's a thicker, deep-dish style, so if that's your thing, you're going to love it. They've usually got 70+ drinks on tap, which is unmatched in Happy Valley. No other spot comes close to this level of selection. The staff really makes the place, too. Emma is fantastic--super kind, easy to talk to, and always makes you feel welcome. And John? Easily one of the coolest guys in the building. Great drinks, great food, great people--this place just delivers.

They have a few different food options, some from vendors and some in house (all are inside). They have a bar on the main floor as well as the basement. Theres also a game room in the basement (that has its own bar) that you pay to enter but game for free. Mostly pinball but a few retro arcade games and a shuffle board. The service was great. Everyone was really friendly.

I'm surprised by the other low-ish reviews here. The food and service has always been pretty solid each of the times I've been. The only disappointment is that their menu is a bit more limited than their other establishments, likely due to the smaller kitchen. The sandwiches and burgers are better than average, and the salads pretty fresh. You can never go wrong with McM Cajun tots anywhere. And I really think their beers have gotten much better in the last 10 yrs or so. Prices can be a little high, so it's not a weekly lunch spot for me, but happy to hit this place up for the PNW coziness of McM's for dinner once in awhile. Being where it is, sadly they don't have any outdoor seating for when the weather is nice.

It may have been the very worst hamburger I have ever had! It was dry and the edges so burnt that it was black and tasted like charcoal - the cheese was at the edges also black - I thought that maybe these were cooked over and open flame but no the griddle was plainly visible. I walked around the pub trying to get a manager or someone to see this mess but waitresses just skirted around me. I did not want to ruin the others lunch so I did not make a fuss - I did however see the issue -the griddle is behind the bar and 2women very busy with other chores left it entirely unmanned... so someone need to step up - could have gone to a fast food place and had a better burger!!! I opted for a salad to go with -really disappointing - literally the "stumps " to the head of lettuce was in my serving -everything pale and edged brown -tomatoes so pale and uninviting - wow just awful!!!! SOMEONE HAS GOT TO PAY ATTENTION!!!!

There were many large seating area available. One main cedar table was a big attraction. There is a fireplace with a table by it We got a table. I ordered a Borgona, fruit puree juices mix with Sprite. Never had one, but sounded really good. It came and it was delicious and fruity for a mocktail. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. Cook perfectly and easy to devour quickly. DeFuego Nachos had Jalapenos. But wasn't listed. The nachos were delicious and it was quickly devoured. Wings came in 4 wings with garlic parmesan with carrots and celery and ranch on the platter. Heavily garlic on the wings yet very delicious. Half wedge salad was a surprise how much there is in the salad. A lot of fresh veggies there with cherry tomatoes and sliced radishes in it. I had a absolutely fun experience celebrating my birthday here. DeFuego had Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, seven days out of the week. Seems the Happy Hour here is very popular. You have 21 appetizers to choose from on the Happy Hour Menu. There are Mocktails, and any drinks you want available. Definitely will come back again.

Shoot. Last night I took my boyfriend here to celebrate a special event & we left so disappointed!…read moreWe got there at 7:15 & we were stuck there for over 2 hours! I ordered 2 things and both came out wrong. Our waitress spoke very loudly and we could hear her having long personal conversations with people a couple tables away from us for 10+ minutes at a time, several times. While we waited for her, we ran out of water a few times and I had to ask for more. It was over an hour before our order was even taken. We did flag her down to order an appetizer, brussel sprouts with cheese on the side due to a dairy allergy, but... the sprouts came out with cheese on them. They corrected this fairly promptly, but then we sat for another 45 minutes before our order was actually taken. I ordered a steak as "somewhere between medium & medium well" and she correctly repeated my order back to me "medium/medium well." When the steak came out, it was WELL well done. Like, burnt. I wanted to send it back, but I didn't want to deal with the embarrassment or have to wait even longer for food. We were about an hour & 45 minutes into dinner by the time we got our food. I was so disappointed! I also wanted to get dessert to celebrate the occasion but the service was SO slow that we had to cancel our after-dinner plans. We ordered it anyway & requested the check promptly, giving up on our plans for the rest of the evening. We were only a party of 2, we arrived early for our reservation, & we watched several larger parties come and go while we waited for our order to even be taken. It was a Wednesday night and not overly busy, there were several empty tables, so I'm not sure what the hold up was. We were also seated at an odd table next to the kitchen with a small divider between us and the staff. It was noisy and I even heard 2 staff members exchange a joke about how someone else had left & said they'd never come back. They laughed about it. I wish I had the guts those people had to get up & leave! I've never once left less than a 20% tip and felt immense guilt not tipping well, but after experiencing the poor service then also hearing the staff blatantly acknowledge it & not care.... I was appalled. The Hilton bought the hotel attached to De Fuego and I'm shocked. This was a Monarch hotel before and I'd assume that the Hilton's standards would be higher but the service and quality here have tanked hopelessly low since the acquisition. I had a similar experience at The Underground before it closed. I've learned my lesson & won't come here for a special occasion again.
