Our food orders were taken once drinks arrived. We chose a French dip sandwich, a cottage pie and soups. Everything was delicious. Served hot, flavors are really great and prepared perfectly. The biggest sign that beer is the focus is the choice (singular) of food. Your only option is chips and salsa - an unopened container of each. My guess is that they're in a building that is not zoned for any kind of food preparation at all. But this just reinforces the fact that Breakside is truly focused on beer, and their beers make it worth the trip from anywhere.

And I really think their beers have gotten much better in the last 10 yrs or so. I ordered a steak as "somewhere between medium & medium well" and she correctly repeated my order back to me "medium/medium well." When the steak came out, it was WELL well done. Like, burnt. I was appalled. The Hilton bought the hotel attached to De Fuego and I'm shocked. This was a Monarch hotel before and I'd assume that the Hilton's standards would be higher but the service and quality here have tanked hopelessly low since the acquisition. I had a similar experience at The Underground before it closed. I've learned my lesson & won't come here for a special occasion again.
