I can not say enough good things about Hope. Our trainer is Alvin and my dog Prince absolutely loves him! Prince is always super excited to come and has come out of his shell so much since coming here. He works on socialization with other dogs and people while he is here and I have seen such an improvement in him (which is a real challenge since my dog isn't motivated by treats or praise.) My dogs went to the 3 week overnight program here and although I missed them while they were gone- it offered the consistency they did not receive at home. They learned a variety of commands and are so well behaved! The trainers Daniel and Alvin were very kind and good with dogs. Even though Daisy wasn't too thrilled about getting her nails trimmed, the staff was patient with her and all went very well. A true life saver!!!! My sweet 3 year Old English Bulldogge Beau was running out of our yard and becoming aggressive with our neighbors. I was so worried he would end up biting someone. We came to Hope Dog Training with our 4 month old German Shorthair Pointer. We wanted just your basic commands and to be able to walk him on a leash. Darcy & Emily were amazing! After the first week I was able to walk him with out coming home in tears from his pulling. He has also learned his basic commands and we continue to work in them at home. Be cause they socialize the dogs so much he is one of the most friendly dogs. But the best part of the training is the videos and pictures you get each of your dog. Just brought my girl home after about a week of training with boarding. She was struggling with socialization, and it became impossible to take her out. When we went to visit her midweek we had the opportunity to see her change first hand. There was a golden retriever across the hall, we waited for her to react (usually super aggressive, growling, barking, and lunging at them) however she looked at him and showed no interest or aggression which absolutely amazed all of us. I also got many videos from Darcey showing our Harley being very social and actually friendly with the other dogs. Darcey & Emily are amazing trainers! My puppy was very well socialized and played with other dogs so well until she was attacked very badly at a dog park. Darcey & Emily came up with a plan to help her feel confident again and learn how to play well with others again. They worked with her for 3 weeks on her leash reactivity, resource guarding, and socialization. She has improved but is not a fully reformed dog yet because everything is a process and behaviors can't just be molded in a couple trainings. I continue to work with her everyday and build on everything that Darcey and Emily worked with her on. We also sometimes go to the Active K9 classes on Saturday and we have so much fun! I'm so grateful I didn't choose another place just because I live a bit of a jaunt away. Coming here was the best decision I could have made after moving from Irvine to Colton with my shelter rescue, Drago. He's the sweetest boy, and he'd come very far in our six months together. He'd only seen the bad in the world before we met, so when we met and bonded so quickly and deeply, he developed some protective issues. He had never played with other dogs, and he had a few unpleasant experiences with some dogs before going to HOPE Dog training. The trainers are absolutely amazing with him. We only had two months to help lessen his issues before relocating. They worked with him so well that he has improved to a degree beyond what I could have hoped in our limited time. He's even experienced fun play with other dogs! It's so obvious that they love our dogs almost as much as we do. I left Drago at daycare two days a week and took classes on Saturdays. I highly recommend bringing your dog, either for training or just a good time. I know my Drago will miss them when we move next week. read more

I LOVE HOPE Dog Training!!! I sent my 3.5 year old Australian Sheppard, Asher, to their 3 week training & board program and he came back an angel. I mainly sent him there to help with his leash reactiveness, obedience, getting along better with other dogs, begging, jumping, & barking at people walking by the window and he is significantly better in all aspects. He now listens a lot better, is soooo obedient in command, stays in place when directed when we need him too/when we are eating, and is a lot easier to take on walks. He even loved hanging out with all the other dogs at the training camp. Alvin was our main trainer and Darcey was also great. Alvin sent us the best update videos and pictures daily and made the wait to get our dog back that much easier. Alvin was so knowledgable on how to train dogs correctly and how to correct and reward their actions. His "back home" session with us taught us so much, helped us understand how to continue training and use commands, and he made sure we were confident before he left. He also made great general dog owner suggestions that we immediately listened to and implemented in our home. Alvin was such a great trainer our dog did not want him to leave when he was dropped off!! We take our 4 month old yellow lab puppy, Frito, here for vet services and were excited when we saw the flyer for the puppy class. Darcy and her assistant Sean are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and patient! I don't normally write reviews good or bad, but I wanted to comment on how great this place is. Emily and Darcy really seem to take an interest in every dog that they train, learning their specific behavior with useful tip on how to work with your dog. They send helpful videos of the new behavior that you pup is learning to refer back to, along with videos and pictures of their socialization/playtime throughout the day. I did the 8 day training and every day during pickup they walk you through what they were working on that day and answer any questions that you may have. Emily has two huskies and happily answered any questions I had about their specific behavior. I will definitely be bringing my husky puppy back for more training when she is a bit older and in the meantime I plan on bringing her there for socialization/playtime. read more

I rescued a 6 month old Belgian Malinois in July, when looking for a trainer I wanted to make sure they were familiar with the breed. Darcey has 3 of her own, so I thought I'll give them a try. I went and did their active dog class on Saturday. Darcey and Emily were so helpful with Piper and her acting like a typical Malinois with her screaming and all when we showed up. Since then I have put Piper in 2 of their 10 day training classes I could not be any happier with the progress Piper has made and what a good well behaved dog she has become. Darcey keeps telling me she has plans for Piper and can't wait to follow through with those plans. I highly recommend them for any training your day may need. read more

Wonderful! I have a 11 month old Husky! That should pretty much tell you how frustrated I was! She would lunge and growl at dogs, strangers, anything that moved! Taking her for a walk, which was done everyday, was exhausting! What a fantastic job Darcy and her staff have done with my pup! Hey, she is still a Husky....but so much better behaved! Take her once a week for doggy day care now and to spend time with the great staff there and to socialize with other pups.....my pup loves when we get there! If I was writing this review after week one, it would be a five star review. However I am currently writing this after the second week of our German Shepherd dog, Legend's, training. After the first week, when we took him home for the weekend, there was noticeable improvement in our boy's behavior. He did the basic commands that they taught him, and he did them well. After great luck during the first week, we were excited to bring him back for the second week for a little bit more advanced training. Everything went well, and we got daily updates via text message on Legend's training. When we picked our dog up at the end of week 2, all seemed well. Nothing terribly different than the first week besides a few extra commands. We then drove home and spent time with our dog practicing the commands on the sheet that was given to us. Now the real noticeable difference was when it came time to feed Legend. When my partner sat down his food, he instantly went to it and began to inhale his food. He had never done this before and we were pretty shocked. Normally he takes his time to eat and my partner sits down and pets him while he eats, to prevent food aggression. Well when she stood next him and tried to pet him, he growled and barked at her with rage in his eyes. Had she not moved out of the way quickly enough, he would have bit her!! She walked away scared of him and ran out the room to tell me what just happened. Shocked, I ran in the room to try to investigate. I leaned in to pet him, and that's when he started to growl and then barked at me. We never had this issue before he went to training! We trusted them with our most precious friend and he is returned to us, food aggressive. If my partner had sat down like she normally would have, we would be going to the hospital, instead of writing this review. We want answers immediately!! read more

nice staff, very friendly also The ladies are beautiful. So here's my story... I got a very loofy puppy. "Cane corso" Who wouldn't obey my commands for nothing. I carried him everywhere I go he wouldn't walk on a leash even for treats. He was a rebel or he had issues. So with vacation a week out, I didn't have the time to give him any proper training or attend any pet training class with everything going. I called miss Dorty, and it went from there. Ms Dorty was very nice , even if I had to reschedule my flight and extended training. She got me covered. A month later, I got my dog back , he was not only bigger... but definitely a different dog. He listened to my commands and walked on a leash without any struggles. Couldn't ask for more. I want to thank Dorty and her staff for the awesome job. Also Not only her prices are low and reasonable. She keeps you updated with everything that's going on while you're away. So if you have a disobedient dog . I recommend this facility. I had a great experience with this dog training program. I have a very rambunctious, young Manchester Terrier that has a very short attention span. Darcey Hall and her staff established a great rapport with him and he has learned more self control after going through the program. I was pleasantly surprised at the improvements in behavior after only a week! Darcey was always available by phone/text to answer any questions I had and to give advice about reinforcing behaviors.
