I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other pet owners deserve to know about our experience. Our pets are family--they're not "just dogs." This was the second time I boarded my dog at this facility, and unfortunately, both visits ended with her coming home sick. After her most recent stay, she developed kennel cough. After her first stay, she came home with kennel cough and an eye infection. While I understand that illnesses can occur in any boarding environment, having it happen both times is extremely concerning. Care Instructions and Facility Handling I was also disappointed that Duchess's care instructions were not updated during check-in. She is no longer a puppy and no longer chews, yet her paperwork still reflected outdated information. Because of that, she wasn't given the blanket or bed that should have been placed on top of her cot. This should have been caught and corrected by the staff during the check-in process. (I was also told I was unable to leave her blanket and toy from home, which should have been communicated at the time of reservation.) While watching the facility cameras, I also saw another dog placed in Duchess's room for a period of time, although I was never given an explanation as to why. Later, I learned that Duchess had been moved out of her room around midnight because the room needed to be painted. I was never notified that she had been relocated, and I found that very concerning. Communication and Monitoring Concerns To make matters worse, I was unable to access the cameras during the night. Around 3:30 a.m., I became worried because I couldn't see Duchess and had no idea she had been moved. I called the facility, but no one answered. As a pet owner, that was incredibly stressful and upsetting. Customer Service and Response When I called after bringing Duchess home to discuss everything that had happened, I was shocked by the manager's response. Rather than showing concern or empathy, I was told, "Well, you signed a waiver." While I understand that boarding facilities require waivers, a waiver should never be used to dismiss a customer's legitimate concerns or excuse poor communication and preventable issues. That response left me feeling that Duchess's well-being--and my concerns as her owner--were not taken seriously. Overall Experience Any one of these issues might have been understandable on its own, but taken together, they reflect a lack of communication, attention to detail, and accountability. I understand that boarding facilities care for many dogs and that no facility can completely eliminate the risk of contagious illnesses. However, I do expect accurate records, clear communication, transparency when changes are made involving my dog's care, and compassionate customer service when concerns are raised. After two disappointing experiences and two hefty vet bills, I can no longer trust this facility with Duchess and will not be boarding her here again. I hope this review encourages the facility to make meaningful improvements so that other families--and their beloved pets--don't have a similar experience. Diesel has been a 'member' since May 2026 and it's really been a blessing. The service is fantastic. The team, Alyssa, Emily, Val, Bri ... not to forget anyone, love the dogs and provide incredible service. As an anxious first-time pup mom, finding the right doggy day camp felt overwhelming, until we found Smart Park in Corona. I remember during his evaluation I could not stop staring at the cameras throughout his duration. Now I feel safe enough to check on random occasion throughout the day because I'm still that dog mom that likes to check on her pup. From the start, I loved that they have cameras so I could check in on my puppy throughout the day. He started in the small dog area when he was younger, and as he grew and got more confident, the amazing staff helped transition him to the big dog area safely. Every time we drop him off, he's practically jumping out of the car with excitement, and when we pick him up, he comes home so happy and wonderfully tired. We have left him once for boarding overnight and didn't have complaints besides missing him but overall we are happy with Smart Parke! And the prices aren't crazy compared to locations more local to us in Riverside. Thank you for being the place in between when we need to go out and visit family in LA! read more

I would like to write this review for anyone interested in bringing their pets here. I was really looking forward to bringing my dog here, but unfortunately my first impression wasn't great. As first time customers, my partner and I witnessed the manager speak harshly to a dog, saying "sit your ass down" in front of us. It felt very unprofessional and uncomfortable to see, especially in a place that's supposed to provide a safe and caring environment for pets. We've been bringing our high energy adolescent puppy here for several months and he absolutely loves it. It's been the perfect outlet for all his excess energy, but also a great way to socialize him. I called into smart parke first thing to inform them my dog is sick. I'm honestly frustrated by the response I received. My dog's only exposure to other dogs is at daycare, so being told it likely didn't come from there feels dismissive. I understand kennel cough can spread easily even in clean facilities, but realistically daycare is the only place he could have been exposed. I'm also on the new client offer and now I don't even get to benefit from the full month because he is sick and unable to attend. Somewhere along the line there was a sick dog in the facility or one that recently visited, and I feel like my concerns are being brushed off to if my manager is in today ill let her know but the sickness didnt necessarily have to come from there facility i handled it nicely these things happen. But I mainly wanted to notify the staff so other pet parents and staff can be aware and monitor symptoms & facility moving forward and just my frustration to be heard. read more

If I worked in an establishment where quality of care and hospitality is on the forefront, I would put her in the back of the house - immediately. She has no business answering customer inquiries, she's a detriment to your establishment and reputation at that. I'm truly appalled at what I experienced. On May 8th, I texted to reserve a vaccine clinic spot for my dog and was told I'd receive a follow-up call to collect payment and hold the appointment. I never received a call. A week later, I reached back out only to be told the clinic was fully booked because "they've been busy." What pushed this from frustrating to completely appalling was Brooklyn's behavior afterward. I asked if I could speak with another representative or manager. Instead of handling that professionally, she mockingly changed her tone and said "hello" as if she had transferred me to someone else -only to then admit it was still her. It was immature, rude, and incredibly disrespectful. When I explained I'd still like a manager to call me back, her response was: "She's going to tell you the same thing, just so you know we still won't be able to take your dog." The issue is not just that they dropped the ball on scheduling. Mistakes happen. The issue is the complete lack of follow-through, accountability, and basic professionalism afterward. I've boarded my dog here a few times and have always had a great experience. The place is always clean, the staff are hard working and friendly, and I can tell my dog really enjoys being there because he is pulling to go with the staff to the back when we arrive. I appreciate that there are 24/7 hour cameras that can be used to check in on him and an outdoor area (not just indoor) where my dog can get fresh air and sunshine everyday. I also appreciate the size of the facility, which means that they always have space for boarding, even for last minute requests during the busy season. Some other smaller places run out of space during the summer. Overall A+++ and I keep coming back! read more

I use Smart Parke for daily camp for my dog Olive. I started taking Olive there about a year ago and when I went for the first time, the staff was super friendly. They knew Olive when we walked in the door! Now, those friendly peeps aren't there anymore and it really is a little less personal, for me anyway. Olive only goes once a week right now so I guess she's just not that memorable? Also, its a huge bummer that if you want to sign up for a monthly service, you HAVE TO sign a 1-year commitment. It wasn't like that when I started taking Olive there and then all of a sudden, the contract had to be signed or you paid the daily fee, every day. No discounts. Anyway, it's a huge bummer because if something happens and you don't want to take your dog there anymore, you're on the hook for every month left in the contract. Other than that, I think the day camp is great. Seems like the camera's work great and you can check on your dog. I see the staff keeping up on the pee/poop so it's nice that it's not sitting around for other dogs to walk thru. They provided this "free" and I was able to see the doggie cams and check on her. This facility is spotless. Cute lobby with lots of items. We definitely are signing her up for the month. I bring my dogs here for daycare and occasional boarding . I am sad to see poor reviews as I have not had a bad experience. At times they are busy and check in can be slower on some days. The staff is always cheerful and hustle back and forth to check in or retrieve dogs. The cameras are fun. I recently went on vacation and had an extremely difficult time finding boarding for my XL American Bully. Riverwalk would not accept his breed regardless of temperament. Another facility in Norco, Animal Care Services, said his DTAPP booster needed to be in his system for at least two weeks. Unfortunately, I was only one week away from leaving, and they would not make an exception. When I first called Smart Parke, the staff member I spoke with was very kind and reassuring. She told me I could bring my dog in for a private evaluation and mentioned that he already had an appointment scheduled. Unfortunately, it later turned out that the evaluation had not been booked correctly, which initially added stress to an already overwhelming situation. Despite this, Brooklyn completely stepped in and saved the day. She accommodated me without hesitation, handled everything professionally, and ensured my dog was evaluated properly. He passed with flying colors. From the moment I met Brooklyn, I knew my beloved pup was in good hands. She is clearly confident and comfortable with large dogs and genuinely enjoys her job. She is also wonderful with people. As a worried fur mom, Brooklyn completely put me at ease, calmed my nerves, and gave me confidence that my dog was safe and cared for. The fecal test came back with no issues, and her communication and organization were excellent. When I dropped my pup off, Brooklyn unfortunately wasn't there, and I worked with Brooke instead. Brooke was kind and responsive via email, which I appreciated. However, she did not seem as confident handling large dogs. She did not provide a collar long enough for my dog's neck and asked me to put it on myself. When I asked how long each of his three daily one-on-one sessions would be and what they entail -something I felt was important given the $150 per night charge--she was unsure and gave me an answer but initially made no effort to find out or confirm the answer. After I insisted, she called out to a manager who was sitting nearby with her door open, to which the manager gave a different response - the manager did not come speak with me until the very end and barely addressed me. Lastly , Brook said I would get a report card daily and when I didn't get one for the first day I emailed the store to which Brooklyn clarified the report cards are for regular boarding and didn't come with private. Despite this I ended up getting one each day which put our whole family at ease. While Brooke was polite and responsive, she appeared somewhat intimidated by my dog and lacked some key knowledge. That said, she did follow up promptly and answered emails, which I am grateful for. Overall, I give Smart Parke a 10/10 specifically for Brooklyn and the system she runs. She is exceptional with dogs and people alike, and her professionalism, confidence, and willingness to accommodate made all the difference in what could have been a very stressful experience. read more

But i went out of town recently and left my Harley girl here for 1 week and was constantly reassured she was safe and sound by there around the clock cameras! Their staff is very friendly and understanding of all my questions of their facility . My dog was always playful when in the play area with the other dogs and can confidently say I'll for sure be coming back the next time i travel. I talked with both the manager and assistant manager and they both made me feel comfortable that i could trust them with my fur baby! If you love your dogs, don't leave them here. This has to be one of the worst experiences ever. My dog was not eating. Every time I called they said they would send someone in to entice him to eat. I called several times a day, multiple days and each time it seemed like I was reporting the issue for the first time. They lied to me every time. I watched on camera and they would go in and pet him, not bring him food. These people clearly don't care about animals nor do they like their jobs. This was the first and last time I use this service. Nothing they say could make this right. An over sight one time, maybe. But to lie to me over and over again is clear neglect. Thank you, Smart Parke, for your response. I want to reiterate that | 100% did ask for pictures of my cat every day of my pet's stay via phone call and email (see attachments). Even though the staff was really kind and assured me that they would put a note in my cat's file to send the pictures, I never received them. I did receive the daily report cards for my dog, but that wasn't the basis of my review. I called every day to get a quick update on how my pets were doing, and the staff assured me they were doing well. However, when I picked them up, they looked very sad and despondent, as if they hadn't been properly attended to during their stay. I don't feel that any of the boarding pets received individualized care and attentiveness. It doesn't matter whether I expressed my concerns earlier or later because I had already paid for the boarding in full, and judging by the tone of your response, l doubt you would have taken my concerns into consideration. I didn't insult your business; I gave my honest review and stated that I won't be using Smart Parke's services again. As a business owner, you should be taking reviews into consideration to improve your business, not becoming defensive with customers who have used and paid for your services. read more

I've been bringing my dog to this facility for years -- well over 100 visits since they first opened -- and while I understand that prices are going up everywhere, the way this place has started nickel-and-diming loyal customers is really disappointing. The biggest issue for me is how they quietly removed baths from their boarding packages without any communication. A bath used to be included at the end of a boarding stay -- something I always appreciated -- and now it's suddenly a $30 add-on. I only found out because I was charged unexpectedly after a recent visit. What makes it worse is that I never would've opted for a bath that day -- I was bringing my dog right back the next morning. The only reason I didn't question it at the time was because I assumed it was still part of the package, as it always had been. When I brought this up with the manager, they pointed to a signed form and told me there was nothing they could do. But if a longstanding part of your service is being removed, it should be clearly communicated -- not left for customers to find out on the bill. The manager was unhelpful and dismissive, which made me feel taken advantage of despite being a loyal customer since they opened. I've recommended this place to so many friends in the past, but I can't in good conscience do that anymore. She was extremely rude &, appeared to be very unwilling to be accommodating to myself &, my daughters but, strangely was very accommodating to certain people. If i can't be accommodated like other customers my money doesn't deserve to be given to such a place . I will say the place is very clean but, the receptionist needs to be retrained on how to deal with all customers or, the owners will risk loosing money over the receptionist stupidity. Loved It at First... Now I'm Not So Sure I chose Smart Parke (Corona) for the location, pricing, and because my dog loved it. We became regulars, using day camp and boarding often. At first, service was excellent--boarding included cameras and daily reports. Lately, customer service has slipped. Staff seem under-staffed and frustrated, and that frustration sometimes falls on customers. If they make a mistake, you pay for it. In the past year, I've received only one daily report, and camera access is inconsistent--leaving me to trust my pet is fed and cared for without proof. When it's running smoothly, this is a fantastic facility I've recommended to friends. I just hope it returns to its original high standards. My Dog Darius has stayed at least 5 times over the past 12 months from 4 day stays to a recent 9 day stint. I read Christian G. review and agree. I was surprised when I picked my dog up on 7/26/25 and found a $30 additional charge for bathing. The charge use to be covered on boarding on the last day. According to the managers response, it was updated January 1st 2025 on the overnight boarding forms customers are required to sign. I have to say I did not see it on the fine print and I bet numerous customers are going to be surprised. Had I been better informed by staff I would have opted out and just bathed him myself. Smartparke received $820 from me for 9 days and I feel nickel and dimmed. Finally, my biggest concern was my dog was not eating very well. Everyday I could see his food bowl wasn't touched in his room or he ate very little. I consistently received daily updates that Darius either didn't eat or ate very little. I requested they try to entice him with a little peanut butter, but it apparently didn't work or it wasn't done daily. This occurred the first time I used Smartparke, but the staff immediately recognized his lack of appetite for their food. Staff without charging me notified me and spent just a couple of minutes on a particular day and hand fed him and it worked. Darius consistently ate his food the rest of days. The staff should have recognized 9 days of this behavior and the observable weight loss that was occurring. My dog is in excellent health (7yrs old) and has good muscular tone. He walks anywhere from 10 to 15 miles a week. Two days before I boarded him he weighed 80.2 pounds at the veterinary office where he received an allergy shot. When I picked him up 7/25/25 he was observably thin. I got home and he weighed 72 pounds. I took him outside for a potty and when he urinated the color was orangish/gold clearly he was dehydrated. This leads me to believe that smartparke staff was not recognizing his water intake was low. I was in Alaska and couldn't remove him with ease. It's unfortunate I received my dog back dehydrated and with significant weight loss. Upon arriving home he immediately drank alot of water and ate an entire bowl of food. The following day he had good bowel movements and the color of his urine was getting better. I recognize dogs get depressed when left at boarding facilities sometimes, but his food and water intake were low from the start and should have been recognized by staff. I am going to reevaluate boarding at smartparke for lengthy stays. Too bad the front desk staff are friendly and the facility is clean and appears to be well staffed? Wow! I never could have imagined a place so amazing for your pups to go to either on a daily basis or every once in a while. My dogs have THE MOST FUN every time they come to Smart Parke. Their daycare offer they have going on is what peaked my interest initially and it was the best decision I could have made. If you're looking for a place where you know your fur babies will be well looked after, loved, and take care of, I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this facility. We have been taking our Ranger there for sometime, for boarding or just hanging out for the day. He always seems to have a good time but we have noticed that getting to sleep, on a overnight stay, has been a problem for him. Last nights stay, the webcam for his room was off and it was on their end, not our's. His room number, turns out, was switched and the camera's weren't! There's really nothing we can do if he's having a sleep issue but at least we can see what he's going thru and try to remedy it for the next time. Their explanation was what I explained above, with a "sorry that happened". Well...how about, maybe we can offer a small discount for your next stay??? We have noticed the rates going up also, without much or any, explanation and different faces popping up, as in a turnover in employees, trying to learn the ropes. read more

Initially everything seemed amazing! It felt like clear communication, I was informed what we would be charged, $50 for fecal test and $60 for one night boarding. I had went in and signed "all" of the paperwork so my husband could just drop our dog off. During the stay we were called and told that we needed to pay for the fecal test because it was never done but we had already been charged so I had to remind them of that. When my husband picked our dog up he was charged another $80! Apparently they didn't give me all of the paperwork, and gave him an estimate paper not knowing any information. They charged him yet another fee for fecal, $5 for giving our dog our own food (it was never mentioned initially when told we could use our food) and $15 extra because it was 2 days before Easter. (Again that was never mentioned when they initially went over pricing) So $110 turned into $190. I'm in the process of getting refunds still, communication isn't the best employee to employee and it isn't great with customers/employees. I will give them props for being nice the entire time. They also never reserved my spot initially even after they said they did so that was kind of confusing. read more

We left our dog Ruby for 4 nights for the first time at Smart Parke in Corona. The facility was in great shape and very clean. I was given a quick tour of the facility during our initial evaluation for dog socialization and was very impressed with the set up. There are multiple cameras of the play areas and 1 for the dog suite. The regular boarding fee includes 4 hours of free play, all feeding, and the dog suite. You can add on extra play time or provide your own food/instruction for an additional fee. We received a daily video and report card with how Ruby was doing. Ruby had a great stay with Smart Parke and will be back for another vacation stay in the future. The overall facility is pretty nice and I love the accessibility to the webcams in the rooms and day camp areas however, with this being my puppy's first time boarding she had the worst experience ever there simply because the workers in the play area DO NOT WATCH THE DOGS PROPERLY. From her first day in the play area with other dogs, she was constantly mounted and ganged up on by other dogs who sensed her vulnerability, and this behavior was not stopped by the staff who was with them. I had to call the facility at least twice a day every single day of my vacation to ask them to radio the small dog area to get the dogs off my puppy as she was constantly mounted and most of the time, it was right in front of a worker who was doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop them! (Yes, she is spayed) I have screenshots of my puppy pinned against a wall with 4 dogs all over her and this was her very first day there! She was traumatized not only from being away from home for the first time but from also being ganged up on by other dogs with no one stepping in to help her. I was told by several different girls who answered the phone and the manager Emily, "If you see anything else, give us a call back". This bothered me as well because I felt I had to watch the cameras to keep my baby safe. Emily was kind and helpful each time I spoke with her but, like I told her, I boarded my dog there to be watched not to be mounted and ganged up on constantly. The workers simply do not do a great job monitoring them. What I also noticed and shared with Emily is the lack of compassion I saw from the workers for new dogs that come in the play area scared and unsure. In my opinion, those dogs need a little extra supervision and support until they are comfortable. I shared with multiple staff members that my puppy was only 10 months old and she didn't quite know how to defend herself that well yet. At times, I witnessed my puppy being mounted by another dog RIGHT IN FRONT of worker's and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop it until I had to call to put a stop to it and then after my call, the worker who was with them at the time, would watch my puppy and put the other dog in timeout but, it took ME supervising for this to happen. Also, the person to dog ratio is way off. There were times where there were 30 dogs to one staff member in the play area. Also, the only time I noticed the staff interact with the dogs by petting and comforting them was after I called to get dogs off my puppy. read more

I decided to send my doggie to daycare so that he could socialize and play with others. I had prepaid for him to attend unlimited times for 30 days. Unfortunately, he only attended two days before catching kennel cough. I called the facility the day I took him to the vet to make sure they were aware and needed to warn other owners. I asked to speak to a supervisor to ask if I could either get a refund or at least extend my 30 days, since I was told by the vet to keep him home 1 to 2 weeks to avoid exposure. I have called a total of three times and have left a message and three weeks later, no return call yet. I cannot believe how they have completely disregarded my concern and the safety of other pets. My pet is completely vaccinated and I made sure that he was healthy before sending him. I want to make sure owners are aware how this facility operates and disregards important safety concerns. read more
