My family and I decided to have a pup in our life. We found our perfect pet at Priceless Pets and adopted him. Love at first site. He is a Chocolate Lab As a puppy he was great. As the year went on, it was increasingly difficult to train him and he was just overpowering the kids. He didn't realize his own size and just wanted to play so much, but in playing, he would knock over the kids and it lead to most of his day needing to be spent in his crate. He had so much energy after getting out that he would pull constantly and just be his own dog. My spouse and I decided to look for help. We looked everywhere and vetted big business to small business. This was a very long process and somehow stumbled upon this page. I was very intrigued by a lot of the previous reviews. Almost too good to be true reviews. Eventually Contacted the owner (Bryan) and we had a good conversation. Started with questions about the dogs personality, what the goal and objective was, and how to get there. I don't want to go into too much detail because that conversation was so refreshing. I knew from that convo that Bryan was a true dog lover and trainer. Not someone just trying get the $$$$ After the conversation, we had a meet and greet and that went even better than the phone conversation. Bryan went into great detail the steps in what the board and train entails. My spouse and I were immediately invested. Both for the family and the happiness of our dog. We wanted happiness for everyone. We scheduled the time for the board and train (Took the 4 week option). We felt this was the best option for our family and our dog. It was an investment in our family and I wanted the best So now it's time to drop off Rufus. It was weird not having him in our home but knew it was for the best. Bryan again gave great detail into all the steps and what would happen during the 4 weeks. Each Friday for the 4 weeks we would get a private YouTube link on everything Rufus learned and his progress. Within the first week, he was a completely different dog. I've never seen him listen so much on the video. Those videos are all self explanatory so I wont get into those details either. Just know that they are very well detailed videos and you wont help but smile on your dogs progress Each week was upped to the next level of the defined training and it was a joy watching all the changes that have been made. As the weeks crept up to us getting Rufus back, we were excited with anticipation. On the day of pickup, we went through our own owner training with Bryan. Got very detailed with what we needed to do and how to continue the training for the rest of his life. It ended up being really fun. Rufus has now been home for a week and he his fully integrated to the home. He has a special place in our living room. The kids are happy they can play with him and pet him. Rufus is all smiles, droll and tail wags. This was indeed life changing for our family. Also Side note, Bryan made himself available for Boarding as well. We have been using the boarding services before and after the board and train. Experience was way better than any dog hotel I've used in the past for extended family trips. Bryan was the most genuine when it came to his business. You can tell he loves what he does. That's how I knew this was the place to go. I highly recommend. Also, even though board and train has been completed, he still checks on us after. He will be available for the life of the dog. Def cant go wrong with that read more

Bryan was referred to us by a co worker that also had great results with their dog. Our dog was 1.5 years old, so still had some puppy in him, but he has anxiety that causes his mindset to be very difficult to train, so we called Bryan. We had an introductory meeting and felt very comfortable. He walked through his 3 week and 5 week board and train options and what to expect with each. We chose the 5 week program which trains him to basic commands on AND off leash. It was super difficult to hand over our dog for 5 weeks, but as difficult as it was, I can honestly say it was worth it. Simply put, it was life changing for us. Bryan provided weekly updates and videos so we could see how our dog was doing and help us get over missing him. Our dog still has his silly personality, but is now controllable on and off leash. Bryan was able to improve his mindset so not only does he obey commands, but has learned to relax. I cannot recommend Bryan more highly. read more

This review I LONG overdo, but I wanted to wait a few weeks after to see how things went so I can give a full review. Background - I have two Great Dane puppies who at the time were 7 months old. We were heading overseas for 3 weeks so we thought it would be a good time to board and train them so they could fine tune their skills. When we dropped them off they had sit, stay and down but they were doing it about 65-70% of the time. Why Brian - so I searched high and low before I committed to a trainer, I wanted someone experienced with giant breeds and someone who didn't have a facility with 30 dogs who would be locked in a cage all day. Great Danes are a naturally "afraid" breed so I didn't want to come back to huge puppies who were scared of everything because they were boarded in one of those puppy mill facilities. Brian's place checked all the boxes - he keeps the puppies at home, he has about 6 puppies at a time and they get substantial daily attention. The results - 10/10 recommend. Throughout the training Brian would send us video updates on their progress. When we returned we had respectful puppies who listened to their commands 95% of the time. Although it wasn't included, Brian worked on off leash skills with the pups so I was immediately able to take them off leash on walks. They were so afraid of other pups and people before training and now they confidently walk reaction-less no matter where we go. They listen so much better then I could ever imagine for puppies. They are level 10 clingers but Brian gave them confidence to actually stay when I put them in a down position. Honestly, I had high expectations but Brian FAR exceeded them. Price - this wasn't the biggest factor in my decision, but let's be honest, two giant breed dog board and trains is no inexpensive so the fact that Brian was cheaper then competitors and offers sibling discounts despite being the best trainer we met with. He's a STEAL. He's like one of those amazing cafes you find before they go viral - he's a hidden gem. I travel overseas frequently and I know I will continue to board and train with Brian so he can continue to give them new skills every time I leave. Honesty, I know how scary it is to find a good trainer and I can't speak highly enough of this man. read more

Great training by Bryan. He is very intuitive with dogs. He trained both of my puppies with his board and train program. I have been through different training programs with my dog, have watched all kinds of videos and have done tons of research. Nothing worked on my dog the way that Bryan's training did. I have a staffy mix and he is very unpredictable around strangers. It has been my greatest fear that he will one day get scared and attack a stranger and I would have to put him down simply because of his breed. Bryan worked with me and my dog to eliminate that fear and work towards a happier life for me and my dog. The techniques he taught us worked almost immediately. Now it's up to me to keep it up. He is also very flexible and responsive. If I ever had a question he responded quickly with and answer. He is extremely knowledgeable and I would recommend him to anyone with a dog! read more

I must say in the beginning I was a little bit hesitated to board my dog for training because I worried she would get mistreated. After consulting with several facilities, I decided to go with Pawsitivity because Bryan was so patient with all my questions and concerns. Besides his patience, what makes Pawsitivity even more special is that Bryan operates his business at his house which is a big relief for me because i did not want my dog to feel abandoned while boarded for training. I am glad I chose Brayn to be the trainer, my pup had a blast under his care. He sent pictures and vedios of my pup to me from time to time along with updates of her progress through out the training. My pup went to park, petsmart, homedepot, and petco with him during her stay at his house. Most importantly, he was able to diminished my dog's anxiety to a minimal level while in the public. I am really satisfied with the result, my pup became more reliable at home and in the public which makes our lives so much easier. Thanks Bryan for all the hard work and effort! If you're considering board and train but hesitating to leave your baby in someone else's hand, please give Bryan a try! Can't teach an old dog new tricks? Not true with Bryan and Pawsitively Balanced Dog Training! We selected his 5 week board and train program and he transformed our 7 year old Jack Russel Terrier. She had unfortunately never had any prior training and was used to doing anything she wanted, when she wanted. Under Bryan's care she has become an obedient dog who has transitioned well into a home with a newborn and 2 cats. Bryan provided a method and tools for us to enforce the training at home and checked in on us many times after she returned home to be sure things were staying on track. You truly get what you pay for with Bryan and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for quality dog training. read more

Did the puppy basic training when we first adopted our german shepherd and then did the 3 week board and train when he turned 6 months of age, and i can honestly say its like we were given back a completely different dog! We are super happy with the foundation our puppy has for the rest of his life. Our puppy responds to all commands given and can now walk in crowded places with no leash! He went from leash pulling and jumping on people to super enjoyable to have outside! We love taking him places now with zero worries. We also have a couple cats in our home that we were worried about our dog getting along with or even chasing, but now there are zero worries inside the home. I would highly recommend Bryan for any type of dog training, he's super flexible and very friendly and understanding when it comes to training. read more

My 6 year old lab/Shepard rescue dog was in need of training. She had some when I initially adopted her, but with years of Covid, lack of socializing as a result, and living in a house with a yard her leash training and reactivity reappeared. I was selling my house and returning to apartment living for a year, and I wanted to make sure she could acclimate with new noises (neighbors), lots of stimuli, and lots of other people and dogs around without issue. Plus, she has pretty severe anxiety. I found Bryan online and he agreed to take her for board and train and was very enthusiastic and convincing that he could have her where she needed to be in three weeks. He was very upfront about explaining his approach to training before accepting a deposit and scheduling the drop-off, which I appreciated, because it does include e-collars. Most people are opposed to e-collar training, and I had also been prior to this, but she is a 70lb dog who is now 6 years old and anxious, she needed a sense of security from her handler (me) for her success so I agreed to try it. And it was the best thing I could have done for her. She obeys all 5 commands, she is no longer leash pulling, she doesn't jump on people and stays in her place whenever anyone comes over, and she listens!!!! I would absolutely recommend Bryan and will definitely use him again for any future dogs I have. read more

Bryan did a great job with both training Theo, our 18 month old poodle and bichon frise mix, and with teaching my wife and I how to continue working with our dog on his behavior. We only had 3 private sessions with him but we have noticed a huge difference in his demeanor and obedience since his last session a couple months ago. Bryan is very knowledgeable and we could tell by how Theo was reacting around him that he has a lot of experience working with all types of dogs. Theo used to always pull excessively on our walks and was a very reactive dog. Whenever he saw a dog or human walking anywhere within his line of vision, he would become fixated and start pulling towards them or lay on his belly on the sidewalk and approach like a pouncing cat which while pretty cute was also pretty annoying and would understandably freak out some of the dog owners. We noticed a difference within the first 15 minutes of him walking with Bryan during our first session. Now he is a great walker and we are so much less stressed taking him out around other people and dogs. We would also text asking about issues or questions that would come up in between sessions, and Bryan was always super responsive and helpful. Highly recommend getting your dog trained with him. read more

Bryan came over to train my Shiba for basic obedience and dog socialization. I had been very nervous at first, hearing him mentioned that the uses prong collars and e-collars. We didn't actually using either. Just by popping regular leashes, my dog learned that I do not want him to pull. And I learned that the key is to deliver unambiguous messages to the dog, consistently - If he pulled, just give a pop, to let him know 'I don't like it' - If he came back at tension, give him treats or affection, always - Dogs are not great at verbal commands, the pressure (pops) works better Several other side notes - Those (to me horrifying) collars are meant for communication, not punishment. Do not use them wrong or the human-dog trust will be destroyed - Dog parks do not work well for dog socialization, as not all other dogs are friendly or well-controlled. It might not be a good experience for the dog - If you decide to use the word 'No', it should come before 'something' happens (pressure, pop) - To help the dog have a good dog-socialization skills, Owners need to let the dog know and trust that s/he knows what s/he's doing. e.g. - If you are over-aroused/showing teeth/hopping...etc, we'll leave. - If the other dog is a bad-ass, I (the owner) will take care of it even if you are nice and calm - and you should be I felt Bryan did a as good a job educating me as training my dog. Definitely look forward to more sessions in the future. read more

I brought my Australian shepherd Paisley to Bryan for a 3 week board and train. Before she was pulling on her leash during walks, reactive towards other dogs, and constantly barking. Now we can go on walks without her pulling, pass by other dogs and people with no reaction from her and she has barely barked since being home! She is a very high energy dog and with this 3 week training Bryan was able to build a foundation for me to continue working on to help Paisley control her frustrations and energy levels. Bryan was very upfront with what to expect and is very thorough with what you need to do as the owner to continue with their training. He was very responsive and was able to answer all my questions. I have an English Bulldog that had some behavioral issues. He's my first dog of this breed. After three years of his life with me since he was seven weeks old, I had to call a professional to teach me as to how get some of his misbehavior out of him, one which included aggression towards me, the owner. Brian was amazing at showing me , teaching me, and listening to me about how to resolve the issues. He's patient. He is assertive and to the point . Now, I have a better balanced bulldog that's starting to be on his way to understanding what I'm trying to communicate to him. This, only after the initial session . Every session after that was full of improvement and new knowledge to apply to his and my learning. I cannot recommend Brian enough. He has changed the way I view assertive training to realize that it makes the life of our four legged pals much healthier in every aspect of our journey together. I highly recommend Bryan and his company Pawsitively Balanced Dog Training. We contacted him regarding his board and training program for our 4 month old golden doodle. We have two small children, 5 and 2 and we didnt realize how much of a challenge having all 3 were. He mentioned he usually do not take dogs as young as ours, but he said he was willing to work with us. We left our pup with him for a 4-week board and train and she came back to us so well behaved and such a pleasant happy dog. Bryan also educated us and taught us the proper way to work and live with our dog. He is easily reachable, personable and very understanding of you and your dogs needs. I have a 2.5 year old 95lb German Shepherd that was becoming protective to the point I was nervous about having any visitors come to the house. Bryan assured me that he could help with my dog Max, training not only helped him to become more obedient, but also training me and giving me the tools to put me in control. The difference was immediate, in the first session as I was able to take him for a walk and be in total control, instead being dragged down the street. Bryan was very understanding and detailed on how I was to train Max. Every session I saw a huge improvement in his behavior and his ability to follow my commands. We recently adopted a kitten and needed to introduce him to our hyper-active dog. We thought her disobedience was just going to be a way of life until we needed to train her to get along with the new member of the family. This is where Bryan came in. By the end of the session, we were able to bring our kitten into the same room without Sally (our dog) leaving her dog bed. Finding Bryan was a game-changer for training and leash-walking with our dog, Boston. Boston is a rescue Black Lab/Hound mix. Boston is a great dog and needed the right support. Bryan was that support. In the span of five in-home training sessions, Bryan not only completely changed Boston's walking and reactive habits, but he also provided my wife and I with the tools to continue to reinforce Boston's training and behaviors. Bryan's approach of involving us in the training was so helpful to the sustained success in Boston's behaviors and how he receives the commands we give him. I have a non neutred maltese shih tzu named Lucky and he is 1 year old. The problem I had was he was scared of strangers and would show aggression, barking, guarding, and pulling. I was scared that he would bite someone. Bryan T reached out with a quick response and was very convenient that he drove to my address. Within the first session he assessed what type of training my dog required. We did multiple scenarios and and my dog lucky learned quickly and responded very well within that hour! We used the training collar and I was a little scared that it would hurt my dog but it didn't. When his behavior was redirected with the collar his mood changed and his aggression went away. Lucky stopped barking/ growling at him and ended up smiling with his tounge out while making eye contact with me which was a major breakthrough! In one session he trusted me more and I feel our bond has gotten stronger since I do work a lot. I am continuing to practice the training Brian has shown me and it still works every time behavior has drastically decreased even when I am not at home! He did say common mistake is removing the training collar too soon so that was good to know. He saved me a lot of time and money by doing this instead of a boarding care! I am ever so grateful for Bryan's assistance in training my two young corgis, Jackson and Oliver. Prior to finding Bryan's service, I had tried various group training and private training sessions. While they were helpful, they didn't address all the concerns that I was having with my dogs. We had 3 private sessions with Bryan and the results were amazing! By the end of session one, our dogs' behaviors were noticeably improved. Bryan listened to my concerns and addressed each one individually. For my older dog, Jackson, his biggest issue was barking incessantly anytime I turned on an appliance -vacuum, hair dryer, blender, etc... you name it, he barked at it until we turned it off. By the end of Bryan's first private session, this issue was resolved! Jackson now sits quietly in "place" whenever we use any of our appliances. For our younger dog, Oliver, there were several problem areas including pulling his leash whenever we tried walking him, barking at neighbors/people on the street, and acting aggressively towards other dogs we encountered on our walks. Bryan was able to address each of these issues with some very simple training techniques. I liked the private sessions because I was able to learn alongside my dogs and knew exactly what to do in situations I encountered during my daily activities. Family and friends who come over can't believe the changes in my two dogs. They have gone from being wild and crazy to being calm and obedient. I am now able to take them out to public places and never feel stressed about how they will behave. Thank you so much Bryan for the excellent training you provided to Jackson and Oliver! read more

Brian was also very prepared bringing a lot of his own supplies (I.e. leashes, treats, collars) which worked a lot better than the harness and leash I use on a regular basis; His recommendations were awesome. I can honestly say I saw major improvement with only one session! At the end of our session a family walked by and my dog did not make a peep. Usually, she barks until they're out of sight.
