I've tried a few dog daycare spots in OC, and Dogden stood out to me. The space is large, clean, and feels well maintained. I appreciated that they take time to understand each dog's personality -- mine is pretty social, so group play worked well, but it's nice they also offer more private options. The turf and overall setup feel very clean, and there's no overwhelming smell, which I've experienced elsewhere. Staff were friendly and attentive, and I felt comfortable leaving my dog there. Overall, a reliable option for daycare or boarding.

The owner was very nice and welcoming. The staff provide a tour and show how the babies are well taken care of. Their care is very thoughtful. They have a refrigerator to store the wet dog food. Cameras for check-ins. Provide pre-assessment boarding to ensure the babies are comfortable. Provide outside time for exercise. You can tell they mean well and it's not just a business.

My family and I recently went on vacation, and we had complete peace of mind knowing our dog, Daisy, was being so well cared for at Dog Den. We received daily updates, photos, and videos, and loved being able to check in on her through the live cameras in the play area. It was clear that Daisy was happy, safe, and receiving excellent care. We will definitely be boarding her at Dog Den again for future trips. Thank you, Dog Den, for taking such great care of our girl!

Such a clean and well-organized pet facility! The grooming turned out great, and I loved seeing the separate play areas for large and small dogs. You can tell the staff genuinely love and care for the pets.

The moment I walked in, I immediately had a really good feeling about this place! You can truly tell how much care and thought has gone into everything -- from the clean and spacious environment to all the little details. There's plenty of room for the dogs to run around and play comfortably. What made me feel the most reassured is that they don't just "keep" the dogs there -- they actually spend time playing with them, observing their behavior, and caring about their emotions. If your dog wants to socialize and play with other dogs, they do require proof of vaccinations including Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP. They also do a simple temperament test (around 20 minutes), which honestly made me feel they're super responsible and genuinely care about the safety and well-being of every dog. As pet owners, the hardest part about traveling isn't the distance -- it's worrying whether our fur babies are truly being cared for. At Dogden, you really get a sense of peace of mind. They understand dogs so well. It's not just boarding -- they treat every dog like a little kid and care for them with so much love and attention. When the dogs are happy, the owners can finally relax too Now I can travel without constantly worrying about my little baby at home

Wonderful pet daycare with loving staff and a clean environment. My dog enjoys every visit and is always well cared for.

The best money I've spent since moving to Irvine! Ever since I got my dog, I've been nervous about traveling. Then last week, while I was walking my dog and chatting with my American neighbor, she told me about a pet boarding place in Orange that locals really love. I originally went just to try it out, but the experience turned out to be much better than I expected. They offer both daycare and multi-day boarding. What really touched me was that the staff genuinely knew each dog well. They could call the dogs by name, observe their personalities, and spend time playing with them. When we were leaving, my dog kept looking back, and it honestly felt like he had so much fun that he didn't want to leave. The space was also much bigger than I imagined. I heard it's over 10,000 square feet, with both indoor and outdoor play areas. Everything felt bright, clean, and spacious.

The facility is incredibly clean with zero odors. They handle meal prep, belongings, and even offer grooming. At under $20 a day, the value is unbeatable. Gives me complete peace of mind when traveling. Highly recommend!

I bring my girls here for day camp and as well for boarding and they love it. Daniel and his team are attentive and take great care while I'm away. They also send pictures daily to let me see how they are doing during their stay. I highly recommend Dog Den, off La Palma x from Kaiser.

Dog Den is absolutely amazing! My Corgi, Aster, LOVES this place, and we truly wouldn't be able to travel without them. The staff is incredibly caring and treats him like one of their own. One of the things we appreciate most is the ability to check in on him through their on-site video cameras it gives us so much peace of mind knowing he's happy, safe, and having a great time. Aster always comes home tired, content, and excited for his next visit. We couldn't recommend Dog Den more!

Have a great time with new friends

We tried Dog Den for the first time a few weeks ago. My dog has been to boarding/daycare once before while we were away and she was intimidated by the large number of dogs. In the photos we received at the prior facility she looked sad. This time around at Dog Den she appeared to be smiling and had her tail up. There were other dogs to interact with but it was not an overwhelming amount for her. I love that we could watch her in the playroom and in her kennel. Also a plus they have an outdoor area which most facilities lack. I felt confident she was in good hands and we will definitely use Dog Den for all our future needs.

How much per day for 1 dog?

Will you still let the dogs out on the turf under hot sun?

Great question! We closely monitor the temperature of our outdoor play areas, and most of the space is naturally shaded by the building. On days when temperatures rise too high—or when the grass becomes too warm for safe play—we move all dogs to our… Read more

Hi, I have an 11 year old 14 pound Jack Russell Terrier I'm interested in boarding for the day. Are the dogs kept separate?she's friendly with people but gets nervous around dogs, especially larger ones as she had a bad experience when she was a pup?

Yes! Pictures are sent via email at least once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

After a previous negative experience, my fiancé and I waited several months before bringing our…read moredog, Posie, back to daycare. We decided to give this facility another chance because she genuinely loves playing with other dogs, and daycare seemed very different from overnight boarding. Before returning, we made it very clear to staff that because of our previous experience, we wanted to be contacted immediately about any issues involving Posie, no matter how minor. Staff assured us they would communicate with us, and based on those conversations, we felt comfortable trying daycare again. We had a few uneventful visits, but our most recent experience raised serious concerns and brought back many of the same issues we experienced before. We dropped Posie off around 2:30 PM for Day Camp. Around 3:55 PM, I checked the daycare cameras and noticed that she was nowhere to be found in the large playgroup area that we had paid for. Concerned, we contacted the facility to ask where she was. Initially, we were told that Posie had been placed in a holding area while staff handled transfers and departures. Later, a supervisor called us and explained that because Posie is "rambunctious," she had been separated into holding crates while staff completed other responsibilities. During the conversation, he stated that she had been there since arrival. This was frustrating because it meant our dog had spent a significant portion of her daycare visit separated from the group without our knowledge. Had this been communicated to us, we could have made an informed decision about whether daycare was the right fit that day. What was particularly concerning was that it appeared Posie's situation was only addressed after we noticed she was missing from the cameras and contacted the facility ourselves. While we were still on the phone with staff, we observed Posie being brought back into the play area on a leash. This left us wondering whether she would have remained in the holding area even longer had we not checked the cameras and called. When I expressed concern about how long Posie had been confined, the supervisor focused on correcting my estimate, explaining that because her drop-off was at 2:30 PM, she had "technically" only been there for about 90 minutes. The issue was never whether it was 90 minutes or two hours. The issue was that our dog had spent a significant portion of the daycare session separated from the activities we were paying for without any communication to us. What made the explanation confusing was that Posie has attended daycare here multiple times, and staff had always given us positive feedback about her interactions with other dogs. We had never been told she was disruptive, difficult to manage, or unable to participate in daycare. The first time her behavior was presented as a concern was after we discovered she had been separated from group play, which left us confused by the sudden change in messaging. Another part of the conversation that left me frustrated was when the supervisor told us that it seemed the facility was unable to meet our needs and suggested that perhaps this was not the right place for our dog. We had not yet spoken with management, nor had anyone attempted to address the concerns we were raising before suggesting that we take our business elsewhere. This also brought back concerns from a previous daycare visit. On that occasion, Posie came home with a wound on her leg that our veterinarian indicated was consistent with a bite or tooth abrasion from another dog. Thankfully it was not severe, but the skin was punctured and required monitoring. We were never contacted about the injury, and when we asked staff about it afterward, we were told there was no report of any incident occurring. That previous experience was one of the main reasons we stopped bringing Posie here for several months. We eventually decided to give the facility another chance because she enjoys socializing with other dogs and hoped the prior incident was isolated. Unfortunately, after this most recent experience, many of the same concerns resurfaced. Another concern is the overall level of supervision during busy periods. During our recent phone call, staff repeatedly described the environment as chaotic and explained that they were managing multiple responsibilities at once. As a customer, that left me wondering whether there are enough staff members available to supervise the number of dogs present while simultaneously handling transfers, cleaning, pickups, and other duties. Finally, during the last two daycare visits, Posie was returned to us completely soaked and smelling strongly of urine. We were told that staff regularly clean and mop the play areas, but both times we felt the need to bathe her immediately upon arriving home because of the odor. I am currently waiting to speak with management and hope these concerns are taken seriously.
