I LOVE this place! The new owners are so so nice, they were so nice to me. My baby Princeton is older and blind now, so I'm very sensitive about him and probably a bit over protective. I was worried he'd look so chopped, but he still has a cute look to him which I'm so appreciative of. My dog is a Golden Retriever. They did a great job on her on the first visit and charged $40 with their first timer discount. Today is my second and last visit. Logistically, Groom & Board is near a couple places that I like to run errands so using this venue is a no- brainer! The shop is in a small older plaza with other local small businesses and plenty of parking. Ever since I've had my small dog I've been bringing him to this dog salon. One time I tried another place and I got him back with some nicks (e.g., razor cuts) on his back. Never took him back there. You find a place that does a good job and you stick with it. Groom & Board place is it for my Yorkshire Terrier/Shih-Tzu. The staff is nice and succinct. I make an appointment and they're usually done in 2-3 hours. He looks well groomed and smells nice. Once again he worked his magic! I have a customer that introduced me to her two Malti poos. When I saw them my heart broke. These two darlings were matted beyond belief. I immediately called and explained the circumstances of these two puppies. The only thing I was told was bring them in asap. I took one in at a time and 2 hours later I received a call that the first one was done. Oh my gosh he was beautiful and so happy. The second puppy was done and she was precious. They were one of the only places that my very nervous pup felt comfortable in for boarding, which likely has to do with the fact that he is not caged or put into a kennel for most of the day. I have been bringing my dog here for years, basically since they opened. I have used their doggie day care, boarding and grooming services. Their staff has always been friendly, only unhappy with 1 or 2 haircuts, nothing major, but my dog seemed to like it there. Horrible business! Not a customer and never will be. This business has their workers take their dogs around the corner to use the potty ( totally fine) but they do not pick up after them. Today I witnessed an employee ( blonde lady) not pick up after their dog. I said something and she ignored me at first but I said something again and then got yelled at to mind my own business and among other things. Totally rude and uncalled for. I called the business to inform them and I received the same rude response from the guy that answered their phone with the same girl in the background yelling at me. As someone that lives in the neighborhood we are tried of stepping in their dogs shit! I know they are not the only ones that don't pick up after their dogs ( I will say something to them too), but do better. Don't speak to people that way. After 4 years of taking my dog I have lost all trust. Dropped off my maltipoo at 11:30am, typically aware that she will be there for 2hrs or 3hrs max . 3:30pm hits and I'm concerned it's taking this long. Call and ask if she's ready there all like oh yea she's been ready since 2pm might have dialed one wrong number. I'm like what !! So if I never arrived or called I would have never known she was done ? Drive to pick her up and tries to charge me almost $50 I'm sorry no! I asked him if I never called would have you done ? Had to stop coming here after my dogs whiskers were cut from their face. (Dogs use their facial hair as a way to communicate, and obtain information). Possibly new stylist. The groomers offered a free hair cut as an apology. Never had a bad experience prior. My recommendation is to be very specific about what you do, and do not, want trimmed. read more

I'll admit I was nervous based on some of the past reviews but my Link, a MalShi/Shih Tzu mix, needed a grooming session and we were only available on Sunday to take him. When I called late Friday afternoon, I was able to get a Sunday 8am appointment. I dropped Link off at 7:45am. Link was always afraid of baths so I thought nothing of it when he refused to go into the place on his own free will. The guy at the counter was very helpful. When I asked for a summer haircut, he asked me "7 or 10?" and proceeded to show me a sample of the difference (something no other place has shown me so I was never sure what they meant). We broke down how I wanted his body, ears and tails trimmed. When I asked for a time frame, he first said a few hours. After I asked for specifics, he narrowed it down to two hours (which was normal on my past grooming experiences). At 10:01am, I got a call Link was ready to go. I didn't pick him up until after 11am (due to other errands). And my Link looked PERFECT! The fur length on his body was the correct length as well as ears and tail. I did a quick inspection of body and paws. I did not see any nicks or out-of-normal marks. I would definitely bring him back again. read more

I found Groom & Board through word of mouth by my cousin who lives in the area. I actually live on the other side of the 57 FWY but the location of this place is still manageable for me. Groom & Board is a storefront style grooming and daycare facility. They've got very decent rates and I am very satisfied with their level of care and service. I must say grooming is only in the mornings I think so schedule those ahead of time. I like how the place is very transparent with their operations with all their walls made of glass so you can see grooming and care. It's also very clean and minimalist. More importantly, I have developed a good relationship with the team over there with Paul and Anna and their groomers. They're nice, caring and warm and Paul and I often carry on long conversations and talk life. That's what I like about my local dog groomers. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE WHATSOEVER!!!! 2 HIP FRACTURES! My pup came in for a standard bath and face trim. When I came to pick him up they had me get him out of the crate in the back which was odd. I carried him from the site to my car. I live nearby and when I let him out of the car he was limping. He is a healthy 9mo old pup so I noticed immediately. I called and asked what happened there and they denied anything out of the ordinary. I took my boy to the emergency pet hospital this AM as he got worse and turns out he has 2 hip fractures. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE!!!! Disrespectful, cruel and abusive. It takes a lot to break a hip. The owner was defensive and argumentative. We have been bringing our Pompsky puppy here since we got him. We've always been very happy with how kind they are and their grooming service. Yesterday however, my adult son took our puppy by for his usual wash and trim around his bottom and when he picked him up they had shaved our dog's whole body. When I called to complain the woman who answered argued with me over the phone. They know us and our dog well and if they had questions about what we were asking to be done then they should have called me. They have my phone number on file and even told my son that they have it before he left our puppy there. Pompskys have two coats and should only be shaved in dire situations such as for surgery. They have most likely ruined his coat for life. Then they had the nerve to charge my son more than twice what we usually pay when he picked him up. Paul the gentleman that is usually there wasn't there yesterday and my son said the woman who was there had a language barrier. I really wish they would have called my cell phone number that they have on file if they had questions about our service. We wanted the same service we've had for months now, why would we change it?
