This place is located inside the Seattle Marriott hotel. The entrance hallway is very pretty, decorated with many different paintings, artifacts, and marble floor. The dining area is also nice, with ceiling windows looking out to the piers. There was a big bar. But the floor tiles were little outdated. We went for breakfast here on multiple days. We got table right away each time. All the breakfast dishes we tried like pancakes, omelettes, eggs, toast, chorizo, potato hash, had good taste. We also got butter, jelly, maple syrups on the side. Orange juice and other drinks were also good. The staff members were friendly. We got our food within a short wait time. Overall we were happy with our dining experience at the restaurant. read more

We thought about ordering from the set menu, but decided that the buffet breakfast would be the better value. It was a good decision. They had just about everything for even the pickiest eater. My favorite items were the fried home potatoes and crispy thick-cut bacon. We were both impressed with the crispy and tasty potatoes. My husband had to get a second helping. The pastries were also very good, as well as the coffee. The service was great. Our cups were never empty. The coffee was topped off when needed. They checked on us often. I was invited to a private event at the Hook & Plow (inside the Seattle Marriott hotel), and enjoyed their delicious catering, attentive waitstaff, and open bar. We were served a buffet style spread of 2 different salads, smoked salmon and capers, cocktail shrimp, lobster bisque, roasted vegetables, prime rib, and baked salmon. There was also a bread basket, coffee and tea stand, and assorted mini dessert trays at the end of the meal. The venue was medium sized with indoor and outdoor seating, and I could imagine using this space for a variety of private events as well as a regular restaurant. I believe they serve their hotel breakfast here in the morning. One star off because parking was expensive ($60 valet only) and the bartender gave grouchy vibes when you asked for a mixed drink. If you can walk a little further to use one of the many public garages around, or look for street parking, it's a better deal. read more

Hook & Plow was a highlight of my trip. I stayed for a week and ate here multiple times for both breakfast and dinner and every meal hit the spot. For breakfast, the burrito and the sandwich were excellent, and those crispy potatoes are addictive. A couple of times they came out a little cold, but the rest of the food was so good it was easy to forgive. Dinner was just as impressive, the smash burger and fries were amazing, and I think I gained five pounds happily eating here all week. The fried pickles deserve their own shoutout: hands down the best I have ever had. What stood out just as much as the food was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and consistently top notch. During cruise season the restaurant can get busy, so give them a little grace, they are working hard and it shows. My only surprise is that the restaurant is not open more consistently for dinner, because it is that good. We were staying at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront hotel and received a voucher for breakfast on Sunday morning. We arrived around 8:15am and were greeted and seated by very polite servers. I ordered the fried egg sandwich, however, I don't like hard fried easy over eggs so I asked for scrambled eggs on the sandwich instead and they were able to oblige. My partner got the All American breakfast with over easy eggs. Both meals were absolutely excellent and cooked to perfection. The country potatoes are huge so you have to cut those down to eat them, but overall both were really great meals. I'd return to eat here again. read more

This restaurant happens to be the resident restaurant on the Marriott Waterfront campus. I had the Florentine Eggs Benedict and two guests had the Corned beef hash. My eggs Benedict was buttery and delicious and the small potato spuds were deep fried with a wonderful crunch on the outside. We checked in the hotel last night and had breakfast this morning. So far, so good, and the food has been solid. H&P is a spacious hotel restaurant that has been recently renovated. Everything was super clean, and considering it was peak time, we were seated and served quickly. The food was well presented, and our server was attentive to additional requests. Hubby had the Beef Hash with eggs over easy, and I had the American traditional with scrambled eggs. The beef hash was different. The beef was chunks mixed with onions and peppers served with roasted potatoes and two eggs. It was flavorful and had a lot of food that two people could have easily shared. We look forward to trying something different this week while staying at The Marriott. read more

Do not come for dinner. We're on a 6 day vacation trip here in Seattle and staying at the Marriott. Finally decided to get dinner here at the hotel restaurant. It has been the most expensive and worst meal we have had in 6 days! I ordered the papparedelle with alfredo sauce and added shrimp. The pasta itself was $22 and the add shrimp was an extra $18! Fine, I saw the additional price so I assumed it was going to be large flavorful grilled shrimps on top of this pasta; as it should be for that price. They brought out pasta with itty bitty tiny Bay shrimps just tossed into the sauce. The Alfredo sauce was bland and dry and there was maybe 10-12 of the tiny Bay shrimps for $18! The lasagna was just okay. We also ordered dessert which took forever to come out. The creme brulee was described as coming with strawberry preserve but really just came with two soft strawberry slices that I could not eat. The server was nice and he seemed to have the whole restaurant to himself. He did a good job, not his fault the food was poor. Overall do not recommend for dinner. read more

There was some sauce on the side, but the creators of this delicious crispy flavorful appetizer must be turning in their grave at the abomination of what was served. Went here with my dad since he was staying at this hotel for his business trip and we enjoyed it very much (: My steak was pretty decent, the Kale and Pesto? Pasta was REALLY good (my favorite for that night!) and their poutine was pretty good! Tiramisu was alright! Wish they had the cake kind instead of the lady fingers. I spent a week in Seattle and always passed this restaurant on my way back to the hotel. I figured later on that it's a part of the hotel. Yes, I am such a tourist! My boyfriend has access to the Marriott lounge, so we'd normally have breakfast there. However, the lounge is closed on weekends. Instead, the hotel gave us a voucher for us to have a complementary continental breakfast at this restaurant. It was fairly busy on Saturday morning. The continental breakfast consists of dry goodies, such as bagels, muffins, and pastries. You also have hot items, such as oatmeal and scrambled eggs. If you wanted more hot items, you'd simply add $7 a person. We opted not to, as there were cold cuts and cheese to keep our protein levels in check. The tea was divine. I had peppermint tea. It was loose leaf and so flavourful. I didn't bring my phone to take photos. Instead, these photos are still on his phone! I will need to pry them from him soon. The food was yummy. He loved the fresh fruit and large walnuts that he had with his oatmeal. I loved my scrambled eggs and apple cinnamon muffin. Service was superb.
