Friendliest staff at this location! Everyone was genuinely helpful and very nice. They have 5 types of samples so you can try some of their flavors and even have a box of individually wrapped chocolate dipped cookies for each visitor. They have gift boxes and gift tins with pre-selected cookie varieties. They make for great gifts for people back home and the tins look beautiful for keeping after all the cookies inside have been eaten. I ended up choosing a small satchel bag where I can hand select 6 cookies. The cashier gave me 2 more cookies when I made my purchase which was nice! Not sure if they do this in most locations. The employees working during my visit were super friendly and kindly answered my questions: All the ingredients for the cookie are from Hawai'i. I wound up purchasing seven cookie tins and one gift box -- everyone who received the gifts loved them and said that the cookies were very tasty. If you have a large purchase, you might as well sign up for the loyalty program, and with a $75+ purchase, you get five additional cookies for free. I've had Honolulu Cookie Company plenty of times before. And believe me, they are delicious!!! So I knew I had to bring this back for family and friends. I live in Vegas, and yes there is a location here. But I am not going anywhere near the strip just to get cookies. So I only get to enjoy these treats when I go back to Hawaii or if someone else brings them back. I love the variety of flavors and that you are able to customize your own gift box. They also have pre-made boxes as well. I'm a huge peppermint fan, so I'm glad I got to try this holiday flavor during our visit. My other favorites were guava and dark chocolate dipped Kona coffee. My kids loved the chocolate chip "pineapple cookies." I spent a small fortune, which came in handy since they have a stamp card. The ladies working at this location were so nice and friendly! They had such great hospitality, even towards tourists who weren't as friendly. But it pays to be friendly towards everyone, as they gave me a few samples during my visits. They even started recognizing me and calling me "Las Vegas." Goes to show how many times I went in there lol. I tried to avoid this place at all cost for dietary reasons but stopped in on my final night for gifts. So many different varieties. Went with 20 count box (large) which came out to $20 even. Snuck in right before close the store was still very organized. Someone greeted at the door and there was plenty of staff on hand. Felt very welcomed and personalized experience at checkout. Rather than offer a variety of types, they offer just one kind of crumbly shortbread-like cookie with different added flavors. Love the dipped shortbread cookies in any flavor. There's pretty much a store on every corner in Oahu. No more free sample bins in the stores, probably due to COVID. We did receive a dipped shortbread, albeit broken, when we checked out with our purchase. HCC used to be pretty exclusive but now you can find some select flavors at Costcos throughout the US. Be careful of them melting if you're buying them for gifts! Ours melted in only 80 degree weather in transit. Less risky if you buy them last minute at the airport (same prices), but they don't have as much variety of cute tin containers. read more

OMGGGG! These cookies are the best! My neighbors went to Hawaii recently and Aunty Lizz babysat sweet Toby while they were away! Toby's gift was a daper, Hawaiian T shirt (photo attached) and I received a beautiful box of incredible shortbread cookies. Which are my favorite cookies in the world. I did go to YELP and read the reviews. From what I could gather from the 99 percent 4 and 5 star reviews...the Honolulu Cookie Company (HCC) has been around since 1998. They introduced a "premium" shortbread cookie with a signature pineapple shape and chosen for being the symbol of hospitality. The pineapple is also an ambassador to the Hawaiian spirit of Aloha that greets every visitor as they walk through the Company door (Taken from the literature included with my cookies.)! Well I can confirm, attest, swear (lol) that the statement of only using the finest ingredients...is absolutely true! Sadly, the HCC was never on my radar during my jaunts to Hawaii! And Yelp reviewers say stores are located all over the Island. But fear not...these cookies can be yours too without the pricey Hawaiian trip. My box included 30 individually wrapped, cookies in different flavors. Each cookie crispy, buttery and addictive. White chocolate coconut, chocolate dipped macadamia and dark chocolate coconut were some of my favs but all were wonderful! The holidays are coming up fast! Stopping by any of these stores is always a must for souvenirs to bring back home. The staff have always been friendly & helpful. There are so many different options of gift boxes you can bring home- it definitely can get a bit overwhelming. What's cool though is that you can customize your own box with any flavored cookies you want (individually wrapped)- only thing is that it doesn't come in a cute gift box. When we came to visit, the limited flavor was pumpkin w/ white chocolate. I'm not usually a pumpkin fan, but this flavor was good! They weren't giving out any samples at the time because of COVID, but they normally do! My favorite cookies are any of the ones with the dipped dark chocolate- yum! Especially since there are literally at least 2-3 of them on EVERY block. I would even go as far to say that there are more Honolulu Cookie stores than there are ABC stores! Despite basically offering the same selection of merchandise, not all Honolulu Cookie stores are created equal. While this one below the Marriott is a bit on the smaller side, and only manned by 1 person when I arrived, the service is super friendly and inviting. And the interior is very clean and well lit. I like buying the cookies in the build your own box sets as it comes out cheaper and usually I hand them out anyway versus giving it to one person in a nice container. It allows me to mix and match my favorites as well! I especially like the guava and the kona coffee flavors! Take a stamp card to work your way up to free gifts. We also got a nice bag that's normally $1 (I think ours was free) which perfectly fit our purchases and allowed us to hand carry out cookies back to California . They're cute little cookies shaped like pineapples. If you're curious, they do offer quite a few samples. The cookies weren't overly sweet. This chain is all over Oahu, and I think they even have locations in Maui and Las Vegas, but what I liked about this particular store were the nice salespeople.
