This Lunar New Year there was a box of Fortune Cookie Dipped in Red Coloring and sprinkled with golden sugar and the boxed was passed around I was smiling with glee deciding on which cookie was calling at me and there was one sitting right on top ready to be picked. As many opened their cookie and read each of their fortune I kept mine as it was still the eve and waited to do so on the very next day the actual Lunar New Year. Absolutely grateful for my treat I opened it to the delight that no one had this fortune that I know of "Relax and enjoy this evening with good food & good friends" which I didn't lol but did enjoy my evening doing what I wanted. To humble yourself and be grateful is the greatest gift as you're given a path and though it can be rough it's the learning experience that I wouldn't trade...other than for a massage lol! Thank you Olive Branch Hawaii for providing lovely treats like this that does brighten days more than you know. Thank you!

Momi Dolce's owner and confectioner is Michelle Serota who is from Brazil and she brings her tradition to Hawai'i. She sells her brigadeiros (pronounced "Bree-gah-day-ro") by 4-pack or 6-pack. Her featured flavors are: -Dark chocolate -Crunchy chocolate with cacao nibs -Coconut (white chocolate) -Passion fruit or lilikoi (white chocolate) -Kauai coffee -Almond All of the flavors are intense but balanced by the premium chocolate and condensed milk used in making them. I suppose one could compare them to ganache that is used in making chocolate truffles. These brigadeiros are creamy and fudge-like though it melts smoothly as you might pop them in your mouth. The good thing about Momi Dolce is that Michelle can be reached online so you don't have to wait for her appearance at the Kaka'ako Farmers Market. You can thank me later... Obrigado!

By mixing cocoa powder, sugar, and melted cocoa butter, they produced a moldable paste that solidified into a "chocolate délicieux à manger" (delicious chocolate to eat), revolutionizing the industry. Bringing peace to our world, one chocolate at a time. Got the sweetest gift from my Cycle Buddy, Randy S. There was a Spring Dubai Chocolate Bar, delicate mango slices dipped in chocolate, Classic Crunch a le'a (white chocolate, peanut butter, puffed rice cereal, marshmallows, toasted macadamia nuts, dark chocolate chips with a chocolate drizzle), and a trio of delicious truffles (one was definitely rainbow shave ice and two were these had an amazing Hibiki whisky filled center.

Manoa has this cute spot tucked around the corner from Manoa Marketplace which can be easily missed as this cozy spot is quite tiny though prepared yourself from some crafted explosion once you enter their shop. With space for just a few folks to browse their massive display case home to majority of their treats all labeled with description of each item really doesn't help with making the decision of what exactly you came for which was me in a nutshell though knowing it wasn't just for me I wasn't prepared for items like the collab with Fujiya Hawaii with their yummy wafers a pink for Spring/Sakura in my opinion along with their white chocolate was a stunning work of art. Truffles with local vibes like their Rainbow Shave Ice that has the layered flavors, Lilikoi and even Birthday Cake makes celebrating any occasion or just some girls night fun and delicious. You can choose your favorites or a prepackaged box all are done with such care smiles galore are guaranteed. The staff here is just so friendly and helpful as I signed up for their loyalty program as returning here is something that I can see myself doing in the near future. Thank you!

The hot single is a classic and still my favorite. It's simple but so good, especially when it's fresh and warm. The strawberry fields and lilikoi were both really flavorful, and the chocolate crunch had the perfect texture. They still taste great even after cooling down at home, but they're definitely on another level when you eat them fresh. The service is always really good, and there's plenty of seating, which makes it easy to hang out and enjoy your donuts. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to when I'm in the area!

I don't really have a sweet tooth-I'm a no icing, no frosting kind of girl. I wouldn't dream of eating a cinnamon roll with icing, that's a no for me. But their donuts are delicious all the same and can definitely scratch the itch if you do have a sweet tooth. As someone who's vegan, it can be hard to find a dessert I actually feel good about, and this is one of those places. Everything is taro-based and cooked in coconut oil, which I really appreciate. Just a heads up-all of their donuts are taro donuts. The flavors come from the toppings, so if you see something like a strawberry one, the donut itself isn't strawberry--it's the topping. Their offerings change, ( they do have their core donuts that don't change-and I usually go for one "naked"--no glaze. Sometimes I'll get the honey and sea salt one. Right now they have a seasonal donut called Black Sabbath that's black sesame, brûléed banana. Every time I've been in, I'm greeted right away, and there's plenty of free parking. They get your order out super quick. If you don't want a whole donut--or you're eating in your car and don't want to make a mess--their little donuts called Holeys are the perfect pop-in-your-mouth option. The place has always be well kept and clean - and they have a very spacious, and equally as clean, bathroom. They also have an app where you can check the menu, keep track of your rewards, and manage gift cards, which makes it really convenient. Also, if you're not signed up for their rewards program, do it. You're basically passing up free donuts if you don't. Give them a go, share your experience and if your taste buds celebrated. SYOY! I assume the lot right beside the shop is some parking but since I've already secure a parking in the area decided to walk over and is very easy to find on Beachwalk. I was surprised of how small the shop is though there was two tables it was very close together and with already a couple seated with a pot of hot tea I did feel comfortable seating with my simple cup but did manage to browse around the various Royce Chocolates that they have and along with a display case filled with all types of desserts. As I approached the service counter the gentleman was meh and asked about their tea to which he gave me the menu and after a quick glance went with one of their specialties "Cranberry Mist" perhaps with the holidays approaching it sounded festive as it's Ceylon tea and cranberry cocktail...oo! Nothing fancy a tea brewed perfectly paired with the cranberry cocktail to kick it up a notch no garnish nothing exciting but don't get me wrong it was wonderful not too sweet very light and refreshing and just what I needed on this hot afternoon in Waikiki. Thank you!

With their…read morerecently revamped menu, the restaurant feels fresh, exciting, and perfect for everything from date nights to celebrations and business dinners. We started with the seafood appetizer featuring mussels, clams, prawns, and focaccia bread for soaking up every bit of the flavorful broth. Standouts throughout the night included the chef's oyster selection, big-eye tuna with Calabrian tuile, and the hamachi over crispy rice. The real star, however, was the famous Cino Pinwheel. All of Cino's pasta is made fresh in-house, and this dish absolutely delivers -- stuffed with ricotta and topped with seasonal truffles, it's rich, comforting, and easily one of the best pasta dishes I've had recently. New menu additions like the Half Kampachi with oreganata, upgraded King Crab Pasta, and Agnolotti del Plin all showcased how balanced and refined the new menu has become. Beyond the food, the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and welcoming. Great service, beautiful presentation, and a lively energy throughout the night made this a memorable dining experience. Overall, Cino is the kind of restaurant that makes you start planning your next visit before dinner is even over.

Server Sarah came over almost immediately, asked if we wanted any water or if we were ready to order other drinks. Asked for water then perused the cocktail menu. They don't list beers, whiskeys, or bourbons they have, you need to ask, but have a wine list in addition to the cocktail list. Once she gets our order (for anything) she immediately turns so there's no chance to ask questions, she's extremely efficient, not overly friendly. It was Mother's Day so not sure if it's always like that. Drinks were good. Guys ordered beers (Sapporo) gals ordered cocktails, Cino old fashioned for me (Four Roses Bourbon, Angostura Bitters, Jasmine, Orange bitters) and it was very good. Daughter ordered Blood Moon (Tequila, Cointreau, smoked chili liqueur, lilikoi, blood orange, agave, lime, Bittermans Hellfire Shrub), it had a little kick from the chili liqueur, not overly sweet, with a pretty color. Ordered beef tartare, made with fillet mignon (not raw, more like very rare) and coarsely chopped instead of scraped, w/egg yolk emulsion, capers, served with tapioca puff (like giant shrimp chips without shrimp). It was good, but the filet could have been chopped more finely. We also ordered crispy garlic potatoes, it had Parmigiana, and was yummy. Mains: guys got the Scallops with shrimp and fennel risotto. Scallops were good, but the risotto was still crunchy and not cooked enough to be truly creamy. Daughter got the Agnolotti del plin, with artichokes, mascarpone, lemon, ricotta salata. Good but not outstanding. I got the House aged roast duck, leg was confit, breast was roasted, w/orange sauce. Breast was very good, leg was not as tender as it could have been for a confit. Flavor was great. Entrees do not come with starch (unless it's a pasta dish). SIL ordered a twice baked potato, it was huge and good. Dessert was tiramisu (really good) & mini donuts w/some kind of sauce & sprinkles. Not sure because there was no menu, just a verbal description by Sarah. Overall experience was good, food was good, may return and try other dishes but not sure.
