Momi Dolce's owner and confectioner is Michelle Serota who is from Brazil and she brings her tradition to Hawai'i. She sells her brigadeiros (pronounced "Bree-gah-day-ro") by 4-pack or 6-pack. Her featured flavors are: -Dark chocolate -Crunchy chocolate with cacao nibs -Coconut (white chocolate) -Passion fruit or lilikoi (white chocolate) -Kauai coffee -Almond All of the flavors are intense but balanced by the premium chocolate and condensed milk used in making them. I suppose one could compare them to ganache that is used in making chocolate truffles. These brigadeiros are creamy and fudge-like though it melts smoothly as you might pop them in your mouth. Big bold robust whiskey taste in this one. My Darling Angel knows I like coffee and Earl Grey, so those were the other two truffles in this custom gift set. So smooth! So creamy! So delicious! Hubs had to fast from 6 am for his 2 pm surgery so I thought he would probably be starving and would enjoy a delectable salt and butter roll from here. At $4.50 a piece I consider this a luxury for us. I found a close stall in the parking structure. A very cheerful polite male employee took my order. I had seen two occupied tables as I walked into the shop. Both had matcha drinks. Why not? I asked the young man assisting me, what's the best matcha drink? He said his favorite was banana matcha with extra banana foam. Okay I'll try it. He repeated it to the cashier. So popular there was a wait for beverages to be prepared. Soon enough mine was ready. I think Doc would enjoy this drink. This shop is a working bakery. Many yummy pastries displayed. Menu is posted high up above to choose from. Rather tiny shop with room for customers to stand in line to order and wait for drinks. Clean, busy with a few tables and chairs outside but pretty much in direct sun.

They put the chocolate in an insulated sleeve and even include a mini ice packet to ensure safe travels to your destination :) If you have never tried Royce Chocolate's I highly recommend splurging a little. If I recall it was around $18 for one box. These chocolates literally melt in your mouth have the smoothest flavor profile I have ever tasted. I am not really sure how to properly explain Royce chocolate and it's something you just have to eat to find out. I love the dusting of cocoa powder on them as well. My faves are the Champagne and Matcha, so far. I still haven't tried them all.
