They put the chocolate in an insulated sleeve and even include a mini ice packet to ensure safe travels to your destination :) If you have never tried Royce Chocolate's I highly recommend splurging a little. If I recall it was around $18 for one box. These chocolates literally melt in your mouth have the smoothest flavor profile I have ever tasted. I am not really sure how to properly explain Royce chocolate and it's something you just have to eat to find out. I love the dusting of cocoa powder on them as well. Tearrific selections of tea... As a tea lover I was really wanted to give this spot a visit knowing that they have some impressive selection of various teas. I assume the lot right beside the shop is some parking but since I've already secure a parking in the area decided to walk over and is very easy to find on Beachwalk. I was surprised of how small the shop is though there was two tables it was very close together and with already a couple seated with a pot of hot tea I did feel comfortable seating with my simple cup but did manage to browse around the various Royce Chocolates that they have and along with a display case filled with all types of desserts. As I approached the service counter the gentleman was meh and asked about their tea to which he gave me the menu and after a quick glance went with one of their specialties "Cranberry Mist" perhaps with the holidays approaching it sounded festive as it's Ceylon tea and cranberry cocktail...oo! Nothing fancy a tea brewed perfectly paired with the cranberry cocktail to kick it up a notch no garnish nothing exciting but don't get me wrong it was wonderful not too sweet very light and refreshing and just what I needed on this hot afternoon in Waikiki. When I poked the cake with my fork, I realized it was definitely not fresh; each layer of the cake was starting to dry and harden. It tasted terrible; it must have been sitting there for a while. Came here a while ago so this review was long overdue. If you haven't had Lady M Mille crepe before, this might be the only spot in Hawaii that you can try it! I've had Lady M in Hong Kong and this is comparable to it. I heard the owner is the same as Lady M's. There are many Mille crepe places popping up here and there now, but it's hard to beat lady M because their layers are so thin, really like eating Mille (a thousand) crepes! I generally prefer to visit a place at least twice before I make a review on Yelp...but sometimes, you just know...in a positive or negative way. Well, this is a positive review for Waikiki Tea. When I appled Waikiki Tea ( utilized the Apple maps app ) I also found a location for Lady M. Appparently, it's Lady M cakes at Waikiki Tea. They also sell Royce chocolates imported from Japan. I am not a conissieur of chocolate...I can't differentiate Belgian from Swiss but Royce is guaranteed to satisfy most chocoholics. Is there any other retail establishment that sells Royce? Suffice it to say, I was eventually going to make a visit. It's been awhile since I've had ceremonial grade Matcha or Sencha. Just desired a matcha latte so that is what was purchased. It was high quality matcha and a very good beverage overall. Next visit, i will definitely try a slice of cake. Customer service was excellent. No dine-in option but there are a couple of tables outside the storefront. There are a couple of parking stalls adjacent to this shop...there may be a few more that a driver can park in...but not sure if it is for another business. Yum! I heard the crepe cakes here were legit and I finally made the trip out. There's a small parking lot next to the shop and it was empty when I went (late afternoon). There are only a few spots for parking though so I can imagine that parking might get rough at times. There's a table inside and a couple outside. Come early to get the flavors you want - they ran out of a couple by the time we got there. Got to try a slice of the matcha and it was super good! Perfect balance of sweet with the bitterness of the matcha powder. I'm definitely coming back for the other flavors. They also have Royce chocolates here - I was so surprised! I've tried crepe cakes from other bakeries and they're either dry or the shape of the cake slice gets deformed as you eat. Some of the new cakes they added are the tiramisu mille crepe, chocolate mille crepe, strawberry shortcake, and the pumpkin nuage cheesecake. The chocolate mille crepe is perfect for those who love chocolate. The pumpkin nuage cheesecake is also amazing, it's light so I can finish the entire slice by myself. Prior to COVID-19 I did dine in. The space is small but it's relaxing to have a cup of tea with your cake slice. I only do takeout now and I come when I feel like splurging on dessert. It's a sweet little gem known as Lady M is located next to Henry's Place or across from Royal-Moana Beach (the building where Roy's is located). Parking is a little bit tricky. They have parking right next to them where the mopeds are parked, but there are limited stalls. You can park along the street, but risk getting towed if you take too long. I am happy that they are still open despite the pandemic because I can treat myself whenever I am in town. They make the best crepe cakes on the island. One crepe cake cost around $9-10, but it is so worth it! My favorite is their Mille Cake and Pistachio Cake. Their Mille Cake is their signature flavor that they always carry in store. Their Pistachio is a special flavor they offer every so often. The Mille Cake offers a nice cream flavor for those who want something simple, while the Pistachio cake has a strong nut flavor. However, their crepe cakes are consistent with the delicateness of the crepe. With every bite it just melts in your mouth. The cafe also offer other types of desserts like cheesecake, other crepe flavors, tarts, and regular cakes. They don't really post on social media so it's best to call to know what they are serving that day and to make sure they haven't run out of anything, cause there were times I went and they only had a few slices left. They also offer coffee and tea, but expect that it is pricey. In regards to service, I found the staff to be very nice. They answer questions to the best of their ability. They show you how the treats look like in the box before closing it up and bagging it in a beautiful bag. Years ago I got to try the green tea mille crepe cake at a Lady M location in New York. It was delicious and unique with the alternating thin crepes and pasty cream. I was happy to learn the cakes are available at Waikiki Tea! They used to fly them in from New York but now ship them from Los Angeles. I did "research" while ordering a full 6" cake for a gift and got slices of green tea, chocolate, tiramisu and passionfruit for myself! I should say I got two slices on two different trips and not all at once! The green tea tasted as I remembered with light flavor and not bitter. The chocolate was nice, sure to satisfy any chocolate craving. I did notice with both that putting my fork through them I felt the layers like ridges more than when I had it in NY. I think they weren't as fresh which is understandable. Overall the consistency was still soft. The tiramisu and passionfruit were just brought in and those were fresher as I could hardly feel my fork go through the layers. I really enjoyed both flavors so choose whatever is your preference or get more than 1 if you can't decide like me haha. The flavors are not overpowering and rich, just the right amount to match the lightness of the cake. Prices per slice are $9.50 so a little high, but considering the labor involved to make and layer over 20 crepes and cream, plus it is flown in makes it worth it. It's been over a year since my last review and Waikiki Tea is still a favorite local cake spot in my book. I've ordered a whole Signature Mille Crepe cake for a birthday - as delicious as ever. And I was lucky enough to receive the Passionfruit Mille Crepe and Earl Grey Mille Crepe cakes for Valentine's and my birthday, respectively! First time trying the Earl Grey - and let me tell you, this cake flavor is DIVINE. Really different for those just being introduced to tea-infused cake flavors, but subtle enough so there's no bitterness. Not the biggest fan of that top coat of icing or ganache but not terrible either. The Passionfruit Mille Crepe was sweeter than the other flavors I've tried so those who have a sweet tooth might prefer this cake. I've read some review and seen pictures on Yelp and am so happy and pleased that this shop does their best to rotate out seasonal flavors of their mille crepe cakes! Coconut? Citron? Chestnut?! Aahhhmazing! I was in Shanghai last fall and tried Lady M's Rose Mille Crepe cake. You guys - you have to try the Rose cake if the opportunity ever presents itself. We had a very positive and memorable experience at Lady M Cake Boutique in New York so when Mink heard they opened up a location in Hawaii, she had it bookmarked to go. First time we came was when they first opened. It was closed and totally my fault. I should have check instead of assuming they are open 7 days a week. Fast forward a bit, they are now open 7 days a week. This location is in Waikiki on Beachwalk. It's smaller than expected but still cozy and clean. We found it easily and on this particular day, found street parking immediately (even though vans were all setting up for a Famers Market). When we entered, we walked up to the display case and register. The cashier asked if we wanted to dine in or get take out. We said dine in so she said that we could sit anywhere and she brought us menus. Water, napkins and forks came shortly after. Turns out our server was from the New York location which was pretty cool. The prices are also the same as New York which is nice because we were afraid it would be Waikiki prices. Glad it wasn't. Mink wanted an encore of the Green Tea Mille Crepes. I don't eat desserts but for a strange reason I wanted a slice and ordered their Signature Mille Crepes. It didn't take long for it to come and of course, picture first, eat later. After the Yelp pics, we dove in and shared. Personally I liked the Signature Mille Crepes more and Mink enjoyed hers more. Cute little boutique! I accidentally stumbled across this place when I was walking to the beach. Talk about fate! I pulled on the door and realized it was locked. After I saw a pic of this "Checkerboard Cake" that my Yelp buddies - Nadia K., & Li Y. had posted from this business called - "Waikiki Tea", I quickly bookmarked and told my friend that I wanted to go here just to eat that checkerboard cake! Today, everything fell into place and after having lunch at the Waikiki Yokocho food court, we decided to make our way down to Waikiki Tea along Waikiki Beachwalk. I'm not sure if they offer parking here, as I was parked in the heart of Waikiki, and we ended up walking to this boutique bakery. If you choose to check out Waikiki Tea, I did notice some street parking along Waikiki Beachwalk, and of course there is paid public parking in the Waikiki Bank of Hawaii parking structure which is kinda near this Waikiki Tea boutique bakery area. As we walked into Waikiki Tea, we were greeted right away...........I already knew what I came here for, but I friend had to inspect the dessert lineup, then she decided on the Passion Fruit Cheesecake & a Iced Coffee. Of course I got my Checkerboard Cake with a cup of Kona Coffee. What can I say about the dessert & coffee? Waikiki Tea serves up some OUTSTANDING cakes & coffee! The Checkers Cake was so creamy & light tasting...........as I ate my cake, I was thinking - "Who is this Genius who baked this cake!" I mean really...........lookit dat cake! How to they make them different colored squares??? So Coooooooooooool! As for the friend's Passion Fruit Cheesecake, the taste & texture was awesome! I like heavy textured cheesecakes, and this cheesecake surely fit the bill! The Passion Fruit flavor was definitely there too! OUTSTANDING!!! As I searched on Google...........I find out that "Lady M" is quite the boutique bakery, as they are based in New York, but they also have outlets in Chicago, California, & Boston. Dear YELP, have confession. Whenever I want to treat myself to something special I come to Waikiki Tea. Waikiki Tea is the more casual, just as dangeous, sister to Lady M Patisserie in New York, in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Singapore, China, Taiwan. I say dangerous because even though the desserts don't look over the top sinful, they even look a little innocent so, even more dangerous as you contemplate your next or frequent visit to this innocent looking yet decadent sister! And sneaking down to Waikiki Tea has become a fun impromptu activity, always anxious to see what the next decadent flavor of mille crepe cake or other fine pastry they will have. This cafe is a nice little hideaway tucked away. Enjoy the green tea matcha and the signature mille crepe tho, have to say my favorite so far is the coconut cream mille crepe as it is just slightly cooked less therefore giving it the lighter white and much more moist texture. The mille crepe cakes are sold by the slice or by the whole cake. Regular flavors are the signature (like creme brulee), matcha green tea, and lilikoi with a rotating special of the month. The cheesecake and their chocolat arc en ciel are also regular desserts and worthy of trying. Waikiki Tea also brings in different desserts from their New York bakery like their checkerboard cake, mont blanc, and their gluten free petite chocolat brownie like dessert. The staff is so very friendly and are happy to make suggestions depending on your taste preference. And yes, at the recommendation of Yelper Kevin, do absolutely pair your slice of heaven with the equally delicious and memorably beautiful rose tea latte! Magic. Located on Beachwalk oceanside of Kalakaua, Waikiki Tea is a rare gem. They do have free parking in the lot adjacent and BEFORE the shop. There are just a few spaces and share lot with Punchbowl Coffee so if you are close by you may just want to just walk. If you haven't heard of Lady M, they're a popular dessert place that's well known in New York but they also have other locations all over the world. They're famous for their mille crepe cakes! I tried their Hong Kong location and it was okay to me? But I was willing to give them another chance when I heard we had it here. They have a small parking lot right next to their shop that is shared with a car rental so it's best to park against the wall. We got the Signature Crepe Cake and it was delicious! Dessert from New York came to Honolulu! My friend, Angel, wanted to go to Waikiki Tea, so we went. I was curious, too, about this new place... It's not a boba tea shop. It's not a place for Afternoon tea. It doesn't have Hawaiian cuisine. So, what is Waikiki Tea? I had seen reviews and noted that this shop is actually Lady M. Right now, there are two business pages (Waikiki Tea and Lady M) for the popular dessert restaurant. They are best known for the mille crepes cake... 20 layers of thin crepes between luscious cream...mmm! Angel got the Matcha (green tea) and I got the Lilikoi crepe cake. They're so smooth, rich, moist, and not too sweet! WARNING: for victims (like me) of lactose intolerance, take some Lactaid before you indulge. There are no restroom here... PARKING: there are a few free parking spaces in the lot right before the shop. We had a metered stall on the street... yay! Overall, this was a pleasant experience. The workers are very helpful and friendly. The environment is clean, bright, and cute! Give it a try! It's like going to New York without paying for airfare! WARNING: Do NOT confuse Waikiki Tea for a boba or milk tea café. Thanks to fellow Chicago Yelp Elite Ahmad A, I have been drooling over his posts from Lady M Cake Boutique (Chicago & NYC). We've even discussed Lady M's signature mille crêpes cakes and I have been wondering WHY Honolulu didn't have this cake boutique. After all, Lady M is headed by Hawai'i native, Ken Romaniszyn, whose parents own Wasabi Bistro in Waikīkī's The Breakers Hotel. Well, finally, Lady M has has finally opened up in Hawai'i but its tiny sit-down boutique (5 tables) is called "Waikīkī Tea". WHY? They should proudly announce "Lady M Cake Boutique" on their awning. Located on Beachwalk Street (next to Henry's Place), Waikīkī Tea has a small parking lot with about 8 stalls that is shared with Punchbowl Coffee. So, if you're looking for Waikīkī Tea, it'll be on the right side of the street just before you reach the Trump Hotel which ends Beachwalk Street. The Lady M name is synonymous with delicate and delightful mille crêpes cakes, gâteau fromage (cheesecake), galettes, tartes and nuages (cloud cakes). If you've never had authentic or traditional French crêpes, THIS IS THE PLACE to have them. There are versions of the mille crêpes cakes (actually made up of 20 crêpes) but trust me, these crêpes are paper-thin and light like lace are the real deal. Don't confuse crêpes with pancakes which often have bubbles or are puffy! We ordered a slice of matcha mille crêpes, passion fruit (lilikoi) mille crêpes and chocolat arc-en-ciel with a mint-lime soda and plantation tea to refresh our palates. Our taste buds danced with delight over the delectable flavors and delicate textures. The server/cashier was welcoming, friendly and attentive. This café offers various coffee and tea beverages (hot or cold) that complement their all of their 5 cake selections. You can purchase the cakes by the slice, 6" round or 9" round whole cakes. Prices range $8 - $90. We even had the pleasure of meeting the creative force behind Lady M herself, Mrs. Romaniszyn (Ken's mother), as she told us how she had opened the cake boutiques in memory of two friends who were great pâtissiers. She is so proud of her son for heading the Lady M cake boutiques, domestically and internationally. She is keeping a "parental watchful eye" on the business. With hope, they'll change the name from Waikīkī Tea to Lady M Cake Boutique. We even noticed on the exterior awning "Lady M" had been covered and replaced by Waikīkī Tea. read more

finally made time to stop by on my walk back to my car hole in the wall little space, on the backside & across the street from waikiki beachwalk. unless you walk down beach walk you'd never know they were here came specifically for the lady m cakes, though i was tempted to buy some royce too while i was there they were out of the matcha, but i got coconut, lilikoi, and the original. so so good!!! so full of flavor, creamy, but not rich, lightly sweet. definitely upholds that japanese flavor & taste profile. you can buy them by the slice or buy the whole cake. each slice is wrapped in plastic so it holds its shape. if you havent had one yet, you def need to get on it! read more

My favorite place to grab a light, refreshing iced tea for my nearby beach walk! The owner spends so much time and care on each drink. Super impressed. My dad and I love the orange hot coco as the perfect evening treat. Highly recommend! Look forward to coming back each vacation. read more

I love crepes and I've always wanted to crepe cakes. I wanted to go a few months back for dessert but when I called to ask their flavors, the person on the phone said they had no crepe cakes delivered that day so they didn't have any so I was bummed. However, in June, I stayed in Waikiki for a staycation and our hotel was just a short walk from here. We came on a Saturday in the later afternoon and no one was in there. They had flavors such as passion fruit, green tea, their original, and a few more. We ordered a slice of their green tea and original. Boy, were these pricier than I thought. I think they were about $9.50 for a slice. But, I thought it probably takes a long time to make one of these so I guess that's somewhat understandable. Running my fork through all those layers was so satisfying, but I was disappointed. I get the crepes are thin, but it pretty much tasted like I was eating straight cream. The flavor was good, but I couldn't even tell there was crepe at all. I definitely don't think it's worth the price and I'm sad to say it didn't live up to the hype. read more

One of our friends brought us to Lady M Cake Boutique because she was a huge fan of their cakes when she lived in Los Angeles, and she was very excited that a Hawaii store opened. Lady M is located along the Beachwalk in Waikiki. It's across Ginza Bairin and right after the small lot that has a car rental place. It's actually hard to see it when you're driving because the sign in front of their store reads "WAIKIKI TEA" on an awning and behind that awning reads "CAKE BOUTIQUE." That's the one! I didn't know you can park in that small lot. Our friend told us when she seen us drive by. Finding a free, private lot in Waikiki is like finding gold! However, there's one 3-4 stalls and one of them is a handicapped parking. It was sheer luck that we both found a spot. This boutique is very small with just a few small tables inside and a few outside. Our friend told us this place is very popular and there's typically a line out the door. Not today! We sat inside and it was cool, comfortable, and cozy. A nice café vibe. Lady M's main seller is it's Mille Crêpes Cakes. There were only 3 choice: Signature ($8.50/slice), Green Tea ($9/slice), and Passion Fruit ($9/slice). Our friend said there are a lot more choices at the LA, HK, and China boutiques, and is pretty disappointed by the low amount of choices. In addition to the Mille Crêpes Cakes, there's also the Gâteau Fromage ($8/slice), and Chocolat Arc-en-ciel ($8.50/slice). The Mille Crêpes Cakes can be purchased whole: 6 inch Cakes is $50-$55, and 9-inch is $85-90. The other two cakes are only available in 9-inch. Coffee and tea are available, and they have a large variety of teas. $8 for dine-in and $4.50 for take out. I'm not sure on the size of each, but I hope it's a huge pot with at least two tea bags at $8! We ordered a slice of each of the Mille Crêpes Cakes. My favorite is the Signature one because it was light and creamy and easy to cut into. You can easily taste the Crêpes and cream had the perfect amount of sweetness. The Passion Fruit flavor is good if you like something tart and strong. The cream and the jelly topping really packs in the flavor, but for me, it was too much on the sour and tart side than the sweet side. The cake was soft and easy to cut into as well. The Green Tea flavor was my least favorite. This cake was on the dry side, perhaps because of the green tea powder, and it was difficult to cut into. The cake kept falling apart or was mashed down when I tried to cut through with the fork. I think I needed a serrated knife! As for the taste, it had a nice, bitter green tea flavor to go with the subtle sweetness from the cream. Overall, it was a nice, new experience as I'm not a desserts kind of guy and would never go into a cake boutique just for cake. After eating, I felt nauseously full. Too much rich cream lol! Lastly, our friend said that the prices are the same nationwide, but the slices here are smaller than the Mainland boutiques. read more
