I really enjoy their various chocolates! Their SALT location and it has both edible and drinkable chocolate - the Orange & Vanilla was my favorite bar. I also loved the island pattern on the chocolate, would recommend for any choco lovers to stop by - Miguel Morales Photography

While grabbing coffee around the corner at SALT, we happened to walk in. The person at the counter was incredibly welcoming and even shared some great tips about the island since we were visiting. We ended up signing up for the tour -- an amazing experience led by the founder himself. The chocolate? Absolutely incredible.

Cute should at SALT shopping center. They have a tasting where you can try up to 4 different samples before you buy. Definitely take advantage of trying them first as they have a lot of options and the chocolate is not cheap! I paid $16 a bar! The person helping us with very nice.

Holy cow. You gotta check this place out. One of the best chocolates I've tasted. Also if you're looking to buy souvenirs, why not support a local small business where from bean to chocolate are all from O'ahu!? That's a no brainer for me. I already bought a few to bring to friends and family. They offered free sampling as well. No need to book. Just walk in. The lady was very nice and knew what she's talking about. If you're a true chocolate connoisseur who likes pure chocolate (without all the fancy flavors and gimmicks so you can really taste the chocolate), you'll love their kanahiku 70% (all from oahu) and big island 60 and 70%. They also have some creative flavors more for the milk chocolates if that's what you like too. Also they have a few drinks on their menu! True gem!

Visited the local Lonohana Estate Chocolate factory for a tour of the facility. We got to see and taste a step by step process on how the chocolates are made. Cynthia was our tour guide and did an amazing job at answering all our questions. This business is 100% local from the farmlands where cacao is grown to the facility that they produce the chocolate bars.. At the end of the tour we got coffee from the little coffee shop in the front that is ran by Romero. His coffees are 5 star!! The espresso beans that he uses are top quality that you can actually taste. If you're ever in the area, stop in for some coffee or to grab a bar of chocolate!

Outstanding custom made candy and drinks, all local. Chocolate drinks, truffles, spices, all using cacao. Very expensive but absolutely delicious. It's a tiny store with only three little seats but it's very fun to come in and look at everything and then of course buy chocolate.

A small little shop inside Salt Kakaako offer local chocolate, the girl who works there is very friendly and explained to us about their chocolate. They offer free samples and you can try a lot of them. The chocolate is not cheap (like $18 a pack) but they are good quality and if we can support local business, why not? If you are chocolate lover, you should come and check this out.

First class chocolate. Delicious, local and could be pricey but worth it. Was great to be offered a sample and everything I tried was decadent. I ended up with just a bar with the Kona coffee and I treat myself with a bite each day. Awesome location at one of my favorite places when we visit Kakaako within SALT.

    Chocolate heaven for me.

i wanted to like what I wanted more than I did. I didn't get the chocolate bars because once you have chocolate with nuts, rice crisps, etc. you've experienced that. But they had the drinks and they seemed good. But upon opening them, one was way too sweet and the other one had cream or something at the top. It was hard to mix into cold chocolate. So I mixed the chocolates with my hotel room coffee and that was fine. I just wish that there was less sweetness and more flavors in their drinking chocolates. I'm not saying that they were horrible, it's just that I like the flavor of chocolate and that includes the bitter notes for me. And the sweetness overpowered it. Now, the person working there was nice-ish. She didn't offer me a sample and was pretty chatty with someone at the tasting window. I wish they would have sampled the drinks. There's a place out here that does that, and I've bought many chocolate drink mixes from them as a result. But, I'm glad that I went by and tried what they had.

I'm so happy I found this place! It's located at SALT Kaka'ako. They were giving free samples of their chocolate bar. We tried the the hibiscus one and I forgot the name of the other one but they were so delicious. I LOVE chocolates, maybe LOVE is even an understatement. The chocolates we tried weren't extremely sweet unlike the ones you'd find at a regular store. And they are also local made. They are a bit pricy, though. It was a hot day so we decided to try their drinks. We got the Chocolate Thai Iced Tea, not overly sweet and the hints of jasmine tea subtly hits you at the end. I didn't think I'd like it because I'm not in to flowery drinks but this one isn't overpowering. Definitely a must try! When I go back, I'll give the deep chocolate chai! I initially wanted that but the black tea will keep me awake, caffeine after 10am keeps me up! lol

    More please.

Momi Dolce's owner and confectioner is Michelle Serota who is from Brazil and she brings her tradition to Hawai'i. She sells her brigadeiros (pronounced "Bree-gah-day-ro") by 4-pack or 6-pack. Her featured flavors are: -Dark chocolate -Crunchy chocolate with cacao nibs -Coconut (white chocolate) -Passion fruit or lilikoi (white chocolate) -Kauai coffee -Almond All of the flavors are intense but balanced by the premium chocolate and condensed milk used in making them. We saw some people illegally parked on the street right on the corner, but they didn't care, they would brave a citation just for these amazing treats! I am sure the neighbors who live across from this place think this is a massive headache, to have such a popular chocolate place right in their own neighborhood - either that, or a blessing, since they can just walk right across! There are 4 tiny stalls in the driveway in the front of the Doggie Bakery and this place, but it looks far too challenging to get in and out and onto the main street, which is insanely busy on a weekend. We parked in the neighboring lot and purchased something from another business just so we could get some chocolates here. If the parking situation were better, I'd come back. I purchased the Hokkaido Soft Serve (weekends only, I think), it was delicious but I was expecting more fatty mouthfeel for something that was labeled as "Hokkaido". It was lighter than I was expecting. The chocolates, on the other hand, were fabulous and worth every, expensive, penny. By the way, who the heck nowdays says "worth every penny"? Probably old folks like me who knew what a penny was, and now due to inflation and the Federal Reserve nixxing the penny, it's probably worth 0.0012 cents now. Rainbow Shave Ice - it really does taste like shave ice! I came here mainly for this, as I've heard the hype and the hype is real! Hibiki Whisky Chocolate - nice and lovely. Dubai Chocolate - with gold leaf and everything. The Dubai craze is insane. This was good, but the least of my favorites. Six chocolates + one soft serve = $30.

I had seen two occupied tables as I walked into the shop. Both had matcha drinks. Why not? I asked the young man assisting me, what's the best matcha drink? He said his favorite was banana matcha with extra banana foam. Okay I'll try it. He repeated it to the cashier. So popular there was a wait for beverages to be prepared. Soon enough mine was ready. We arrived right when they opened at 5 pm on Wednesday, so it wasn't crowded at all. I was immediately impressed by the interior design and atmosphere. We started with cocktails: the Lychee Martini and the Pooka Punch. Both were tasty. The martini was sweet and not strong, and the punch had a flavor profile similar to a Mai Tai. For the appetizer, we ordered the Onaga from the Crudo section. It was refreshing, and the beet garnish added a slightly sweet and unique touch. Next, we had the King Crab Pasta. The sauce was Uni (Sea Urchin) butter without cream, which was great for someone lactose intolerant like me. The pasta was freshly made in-house and cooked perfectly al dente. So good. Our main dish was the Branzino. It was fresh, delicious, and had plenty of meat for the two of us. The sauce complemented it well. For sides, we chose the Asparagus and the Crispy Garlic Potatoes. The asparagus was cooked just right, and the olive tapenade added a nice depth of flavor. The potatoes were similar to smashed potatoes -- crispy on the outside and very satisfying. Lastly, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. It was a wonderful experience overall. I'll definitely be back to try their steaks next time, along with other dishes.
