a piece of food in a bowl

this is the terrible and horrified me to having food right here. I ordered fish but only 1 fish with 2$ , very very expensive and also it really small of piece. the service i dont know if they cleaning well or cooling well but i found a dead fly on the tofu with veggies. really really upset. Would not ever recommend people coming here. Expensive and not good attitude either.

I love their Vietnamese che! There's at least 10 che to choose from and you can get mix and match for the buy 5 and get 1 free deal!

The dessert is good. Food is okay. But they need to learn how to treat customers. Some ladies are rude.

Some meals are delicious, and some become a memory you know you'll carry with you. Our Friday…read moreevening at Một Hai Ba was absolutely the latter. One of the best meals I've had in Dallas, and honestly, one of the most memorable meals I've had anywhere. We walked in around 6:30 p.m., spontaneously hoping the universe might have two seats available for us. Pablo greeted us at the door, and by the hair of our chinny chin chin, we landed two seats at the bar. This was my second visit and my partner's first, and I could not have imagined a better way to experience it together. At the bar, we met Gabe, who feels very much like the godfather of Một Hai Ba. He welcomed us, shared a little of the restaurant's history, and immediately made us feel at home. We started with a beautiful German Sauvignon Blanc, something I hadn't realized Germany produced. It had this delicate, floral nose that reminded me of Riesling, followed by lovely tropical notes. Such a beautiful start. The hamachi was bright, nuanced, and full of umami, with the lightest smokiness and char balanced by fresh crunch and a beautiful sauce. The buns with their spicy sauce were phenomenal. Then came the kimchi rice balls, which reminded me of arancini: a delicate, wonderfully crunchy exterior giving way to a creamy, decadent center. The kimchi brought this fresh brightness that balanced all that richness. Every element made the next taste better. The pork and shrimp tempura was another standout. The sauce was tart and rich, with a savory, almost fish-like tang that complemented the crunchy batter and the pork and shrimp inside. But the dill on top really surprised me. To my palate, it brought this fresh, almost lemony aromatic quality. I never imagined dill could come across that way, and I loved it. And then the shaken beef. I cannot say enough about this dish. The beef was so delicate and tender that it barely needed a knife. The sauce had this beautiful balance of sweetness, saltiness, and deep umami. The tomatoes were lightly charred yet still cool and fresh, giving each bite a bright, juicy burst. Spoon that sauce over the jasmine rice, and honestly, I could have kept eating it all night. We finished with the Basque cheesecake and peaches from Tyler, East Texas. The cheesecake was so light and custardy that it reminded me of flan. The sweet peaches, star anise, and fragrant herbal notes made it such a beautiful ending. Even after everything we had eaten, this was a dessert worth savoring. What made the evening extraordinary was how it all came together. The textures, flavors, aromatics, and hospitality felt like storytelling. Nothing felt disconnected. There was something to discover in every dish. A huge thank-you to Pablo, Gabe, and Kate, aka Trouble. I had a very, very long week, and you made this evening feel special in a way I truly needed. There is something wonderful about ending your week somewhere that feels like being welcomed into someone's home. Một Hai Ba reminds me of a little jewel box tucked away in a corner. Then you open it, and there are all these beautiful jewels shimmering inside, with a little ballerina turning in the mirrors. That is the feeling this restaurant gave me. Intimate, full of surprises, and absolutely magical. So deserving of its Bib Gourmand recognition. Please go experience it for yourself.

I had pretty high hopes for Mot Hai Ba after hearing about it everywhere on social media, getting…read morerecommendations from friends, and seeing that it was recognized by the Michelin Guide. After finally visiting, I'd say it was a good experience overall, but the food itself didn't quite live up to the hype. Don't get me wrong, the food tasted good, but not great, and definitely didn't feel worth the price. My favorite dish of the night was easily the shaken beef, which was incredibly tender and juicy. However, the rest of the dishes felt a little lackluster in comparison. What really stood out was the presentation. The plating was professional, simple, and elegant, and honestly, that was the highlight of the food for me. The service, on the other hand, was phenomenal and easily the best part of our experience. The waiters were attentive without being overbearing, frequently checked in to make sure everything was going well, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. They even brought us a hot sauce that was fantastic, which was a great little touch. The atmosphere was another strong point. The restaurant has a great vibe that reminded me of somewhere you'd find in New York City, especially with the patio seating. Even the restroom gave me New York vibes: tiny, but it gets the job done. My biggest complaint, though, is the parking. There's no dedicated parking situation that makes visiting convenient, so you're left searching for a spot around the area and walking back to the restaurant. Thankfully, I got lucky with an open spot at the gas station across the street, but parking shouldn't feel like part of the dining experience. Overall, I'd put Mot Hai Ba at a solid 3-4 out of 5 stars. The service and atmosphere were excellent, and the shaken beef was definitely worth trying. However, the food as a whole didn't justify the price for me, and the parking situation was frustrating. I'm glad I got to experience it, but I left feeling like the restaurant's reputation and presentation slightly outshined the actual food

I loveeeee the art around the restaurant and its decorations they did such a good job with blending and appreciating both cultures which I thought was very unique. The food was very good more on the hearty side! The platters are enough food in my opinion for three people. My favorite item has to be the beef short rib birria baos and both drinks were really good! Their menu has alooooot of options to choose from all blending both Mexican and Vietnamese flavors.

Cris and John Review The Tamarind Burger with fries and sweet and sour wings -- the fries were perfectly crispy and meaty. The siracha mayo was mild so if you can't handle spice, no worries, it's not spicy at all ! The sweet and sour wings tasted more like honey mustard. It was so much food, i barely got to taste the burger so i will update my review when I've done so. So far, foods lookin pretty good ! Update: the tamarind burger needs its own review cause it's a STAR. First off, the burger is huge af. I love the flavor, it's kinda sweet, with a little light tang in the back, i never would've thought of tamarind on a burger but it's probably my favorite thing from the whole meal . 12/10 Veggie egg rolls -- fantastic !! So crunchy and flaky High protein platter -- meat was thick cut and flavorful however the plate as a whole was lackluster in overall taste. The service was great ! The kind woman who took our order was really helpful when i needed to correct my order and the staff was genuinely kind , checking up on us throughout the meal. It was kind of empty cause we came in a Tuesday at 3 pm so it was nice to relax and enjoy the atmosphere while waiting for our food. And Happy birthday to the kind girl at the front !

It's a Hue specialty, so it's not something you can find at just any Vietnamese restaurant. The bánh ít ram was good and I would order it again. It wasn't the best I've ever had, especially compared to what we had in Vietnam, but it was still good enough to satisfy the craving. Definitely worth trying if you're a fan of Hue food or bánh ít ram! A bonus about this restaurant is that the service was really great and everyone was just so sweet. The small dishes were especially fun to share, and the sugar cane juice was a refreshing addition to the meal. Overall, Goc Hue is a great spot if you enjoy Vietnamese food and want something beyond the usual pho or banh mi options. We would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

So happy about the location - it's in a popular spot…read more Even happier about the drink (I don't like the ice) - the mango coconut smash is a favorite of mine. Trying to make it at home but not sure how to make it foamy like they do. The curry dish with rice and meat was a slam dunk, I loved it. I can see why a coworker at my old job recommended it, it's pretty solid. Vibes are not as tropical and more like fine dining in this location. Keep up the good work

I really want to give the food a 5/5, but if I'm comparing it to a lot of the Thai places I've been…read moreto in Houston, I have to fairly rate them 4/5. There's just been truly so many outstanding experiences I've had in Houston. Regardless, the food was very good and it was authentic, we did get dishes similar to what we got at Street to Kitchen in Houston, which is the most authentic Thai we've had. Food: I forgot to take pictures of two other dishes we ordered, the Thai chicken, wings, and the drunken noodles. But let me start with the complementary sticky rice. I've actually never had a complementary "starter" at a Thai restaurant, so they stood out, and it was a good meal prepper. The dip is an eggplant type of dip so it's not peanut sauce based. It was really good. The best dish was the crab dip with the shrimp chips, the dip was curried and balanced well with the crab. The chicken wings weren't as crispy as we're used to, and there were more on the saucy side, but it was a solid 4/5 dish. The drunken noodles were good and I feel like they had a great mix of veggies, beef, and noodles in the dish, so it wasn't so carb heavy. But we've definitely had better flavor drunken noodles before. Lastly, the mango sticky rice presentation was unlike anything I've seen before, and I loved it. Do I prefer the traditional sliced mango over a bit of rice? Perhaps. But I did enjoy tasting the mango and the condensed milk and a sticky rice together inside the coconut for a change. Service: we went during dinnertime on a Saturday night, and I was so impressed with the level of service we had. Because don't get me wrong, they were busy, but the food came out so fast & we had multiple servers filling up our water and ensuring we're doing okay. We were literally out of there in about an hour, but it wasn't because they were pushing us out, it was truly because everything was so quick. And I loved that strategy they used where we didn't have just one server assigned to us, which is probably why they are thriving here in Dallas. Overall, if you're craving Thai, I would recommend coming here.
