I've been going here for about a month, and I absolutely love it. I'm pretty picky when it comes to stir fry, but everything is easily customizable and there are so many awesome ingredients. There are options aplenty for my fellow vegetarians (they even have good tofu). When it comes to customer service, I have never had a wait and the employees there are quick, kind, and helpful. First time I went, I got the Greek out salad and it was very good as I sat there and ate it. Second time, I ordered the spicy garlic stir fry to go. All the noodles clumped up and it wasn't very good. I would say eating at the restaurant is the best option to get the best flavor out of everything. I'm definitely on board with this concept. Also the experience at this location deserves a shout out. I came in off curiosity after shopping with my fiancé and building up an appetite. We walked in too euphoric aromas and the beauty of the food being flipped in the woks. One of the managers after cooking a dish gave us a warm welcome. He introduced himself as David and walked us through the concept and many combinations in stir fry and salads. After ordering he then cooked both our bowls. Must say, it was BOMB!!!. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from what I thought was another salad place that has popped up. I got the OG roast pork stir fry and my husband got a make your own salad. Our initial thoughts were that the servings were small for the price. I took one bite of the OG pork stir fry and was amazed! The umami and the wok hay flavors were really strong and distinctive. I couldn't believe how tasty it was! The broth made the dish. The pork itself was dry but that was easily overlooked. Waited 15 mins for stir fry at 9:30pm, only 2 other people there. Have been to Rockville & Arlington location a few times and only waited 5 or so minutes at peak times. Service was slow and then someone approached me to tell me they had made my order wrong (i asked for sauce on side and they had added it) and offered to remake it. I said no since i had already waited so long but regretted it because it had way way too much sauce. Then when I got home my order was missing 2 ingredients I had paid extra for. The serving seemed smaller than the other locations I've been too and i didn't like the take out box vs the bowls at other locations. I know they are new so hopefully it will improve. Have tried this location a few more times and EVERY time there was an issue with my order. The concept was OK, the same as so many other MTO/fast foods. We both had stir fry and it was OK. I wouldn't rate it a 4, but it probably deserves more than a 3. The staff was somewhat rude or at least awkward when I approached the register to ask a question. They kind of looked at me and then just ignored me without acknowledgement. My husband and I ordered HG for takeout late on a Thursday evening. We had an overall good experience and I loved by food (Sesame Garlic stirfry with Chicken). I always have enough for 2 meals from the order. My husband wasn't quite as impressed, as he enjoys VERY spicy food and he did not find his dish to be spicy enough. We wanted to try something new (they have been open for 6 mos). I had the Cobb salad, it was fresh and full of the toppings. I really liked the white balsamic dressing. I also had the orange + carrot juice, which was really good and fresh, but overpriced at $6. The best part of the meal was the herbed foccacia bread, which was only 50 cents. my friend and i like to call honeygrow, "healthy noodles". i am pretty sure it is not that healthy but it is delicious! i went to their flagship store in philadelphia over the summer and a few weeks later they announced that they were opening in tysons so close to home! with a toddler in tow, fast casual dining is where it's at. it is very kid friendly. what kid doesn't like carbs and noodles? what kind of adult doesn't like carbs and noodles?! a meal we can all enjoy. you order via a screen (ps - thank you honeygrow for adding the sauce level option!). the portions are just right and the ingredients are fresh. i recently started getting the dessert too. the nutella honey is not to be missed! i haven't tried their salads yet but it is next on my list! read more

We drove 20 minutes to pick up the order and another 20 minutes to bring it home. This happened the very first time we ordered from honeygrow. That time We drove all the way back to the restaurant where the manager told us he's been out of the two sauces for days! That is totally inexcusable! He should have at least offered a different sauce when my husband picked up the order. I got the Red Curry and asked for extra pineapple. If I got extra what does the regular bowl come with?! SUPER bland. It's spicy and that's all the flavor i get. I love spice but with other flavors mixed. The only pleasant bites are the few that I got with pineapple. And for the $13 that I paid. I live just around the corner from this location so have been there a few times since they opened. As a vegetarian, I appreciate they have real tofu menu items (designed to be eaten w/tofu, not just substitutions) but can easily change meat dishes. The flavors are great, and I definitely taste the clean and fresh ingredients. And I love that they have a small menu, it easy to make a decision--plus have season items too. I do wish you were able to add 'extra' of an ingredient or 'light' when you order from the app, but won't keep me from going or ordering. read more

I've ordered delivery from this location twice now and they haven't filled the order completely or correctly once. There won't be a 3rd attempt. The most recent disappointing experience involved missing items that were paid for, and poorly prepared entrees. I ordered from Honeygrow each time using Doordash and that may have been part of the problem - but Doordash didn't make the food so I doubt that's a valid excuse. I ordered the BYO Stir Fry with the Red Coconut Curry Sauce - well....there was supposedly sauce because this was as bland and tasteless as cardboard. I order the dish with five toppings - my dish was completely missing 2 of the 5 and barely had any of the remaining items. I also ordered a side of extra sauce - since it was already bland and tasteless, they must've figured they'd leave that out even though it costs extra - so I didn't get that either. I've been to other stir fry places and I can't think of another restaurant that serves up such tasteless dishes....I've read the other reviews here and realize that many haven't experienced the same ineptitude in filling orders or preparing edible dishes I've encountered here - I'm happy for those people, but as far as I'm concerned, when this place closes I won't miss them. I think Honeygrow did a really great job of managing their launch. There were a ton of people there at 10:30 this morning and all the staff members were very pleasant, efficient, and organized. I'm sure they gave away more than the advertised 100 free meals since my ticket number was 160 and there were many people lined up behind me. I appreciate that they didn't cut people off at the 100 mark. The food itself was good. I had the seasonal salad with shrimp added. I'm still loyal to Sweetgreens and I'm not sure I can be converted. But I will come back and try their stir fry and yogurt/fruit/honey thing. The one thing they don't have is a sugar free drink option, like plain ice tea. read more

I was excited to go to the grand opening. I got a time slot after registering online a few weeks ago. The place was packed when I got there around 7pm.. I mean who can say no to free food. The decor is cute and modern. There are outdoor seating as well. You order through a touch screen and there is a order number on the receipt. They will call your number when your food is ready. Since it was a grand opening, I didn't have to pay for food or drinks. I ordered red coconut curry stir fry with beef and my friend ordered sweet soy five spice with beef. We got it to go because there were no empty seats. The food was decent but my red coconut curry stir fry didn't have much sauce. The beef was not as tender as I expected. The price was a bit pricey for the food portion. They have reward program so you can collect points when you get food from here. Would I come back to get food here? Maybe but it won't be my regular spot. It doesn't hurt to try out new place though. Plus, it's not in Reston town center, so you don't have to pay for parking. read more
