Came here for lunch when they first opened. The food is lacking and is another typical hk style cafe. The old mala pot was one of my favorite and it's sad to see it go. There is heavy competition on 86th with similar style food. The price is also a bit higher compared to its competitor. The chicken noodle dish I had was not the best and bland. It also looked like something that can easily be made at home and just tossed together.

Love this new addition to the Brooklyn GK Cafe scene! First I have to admit this is my guilty pleasure- French toast and HK style milk tea. The lunch combo is an awesome deal - under $8 for tea, half sandwich and a soup. This restaurant is new - so unlike its competitors, the space is clean and comfortable. In addition, the service was friendly and attentive. I can't remember anyone at this type of restaurant asking me how the tea was. He also asked what sugar level I wanted - nice attention to detail.

Simple scrambled eggs with shrimp and chives over rice. Please use a spoon for the rice. You'll thank me later.

The reviews doesn't give this place justice. I found this place accidentally. I found parking and behold this cafe spoke to me. " Come in!" Man was I happy I did! At first, the menu was a little overwhelmed. I spotted had some really noticeable dishes and the prices were reasonable .. I was attended right away with a warm friendly welcome. So I ordered what I recognized, the cucumber salad, hands-down the best I've ever had more than enough for two. I was in the mood for scrambled eggs and I saw a dish, scrambled eggs and shrimp with scallions and rice hands-down one of the most fulfilling meals I've ever had simple but humongous umami flavor bomb you have to try.it I apologize for not taking a picture of the cucumber salad as it was just to good. But I did manage to take a picture of my lunch. I highly recommend this place. Please check it out.

4.5/5 Food: Pretty decent, haven't seen a place with baked beef tongue before so that was a good pick. Scallion pancakes were good and fried chicken wings also had enough flavor! The baked pork chop over spaghetti was also on point. Service: Was a bit slow on Saturday, but everything else was good Would come back and try their combo menu next time. It does get packed on a Sat, so I recommend to either come when it opens or pass rush hour time

Food is good, came out fast, service is quick and efficient. I would come back. Can't beat the prices.

The fish was very fresh and good quality. We tried the fried purple yams, fried chicken, stir fried udon, yakisoba, and a variety of sushi platters. I would highly recommend the Tokyo Don which was a variety of fish and seafood on a bed of rice. The Salmon Lover's was also excellent, and slices of fish were nice and thick. Service: Service was wonderful! Our waiter was attentive and came back to check on us throughout the meal. There's a button to press when you need service, and our waiter was always quick to come after we pressed it. Ambiance: The restaurant is a good size with tables sectioned off into small "rooms". There are two private rooms downstairs that fit about 6-7 people each. The rooms are adjoining and good for large groups. Seating downstairs is the Japanese-style tables where you put your legs into a pit under the table. Decor and ambiance is very nice, and seating is comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant!

It was an absolute lifesaver that kept the girls happily entertained. And the food was absolutely worth savoring. We kicked things off with a round of handrolls--salmon avocado, spicy salmon, and yellowtail--which were perfectly crisp and packed with fresh fish. I went all in on the Salmon Lovers set, and it was an absolute dream. It came with a massive, beautiful spread of salmon sushi, seven thick pieces of melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, a salmon avocado roll, a bright kani salad, and a really savory piece of grilled salmon. We also shared the Ysukiji sushi platter, which featured a gorgeous, high-quality assortment of cuts, while the Smoked Chicken bento box was a huge hit, offering fantastic cooked flavors and generous portions. The room we were in mimicked a traditional Japanese room where everyone had to sit on the floor and put their legs under the table. It was fun for the younger people but it was difficult for the elders to sit down and get back up. Between the incredibly fresh sushi and the warm hospitality that kept the whole family smiling the entire time, this spot easily earned five stars. We can't wait to come back!

It's an even bigger menu,…read morewith a fusion of Asian cuisines on offer, from Cantonese, Taiwanese, and Singaporean to Japanese and Thai. Dipping their toes in so many different arenas might actually be their detriment because they're going for everything while not excelling in most. I would rather they cut down on some dishes and make sure all are great instead. I absolutely love their Thai fried chicken, which is so affordable (8 pieces for $12), and tastes so crispy on the outside but so moist and flavorful on the inside. It comes with a tangy fish sauce, but you can add different green curry and/or red curry for 50 cents each. I like it best with the fish sauce. However, that's the Thai fried chicken is the only dish I absolutely love from this place. Everything else is very mediocre, which is unfortunate. 6 rolls bento - $15; comes with california roll, spicy tuna roll, lobster salad roll, salmon avocado roll, eel cucumber roll, shrimp tempura, kani salad, seaweed salad, and fried chicken. It's a lot of food for $15, and the sushi actually tastes decent. The kani salad, seaweed salad, and fried chicken are just tiny portions, but the fried chicken are like nuggets and taste really bad. 4/5 Mushroom noodles - $10; It's so rare to find such affordable e-fu noodles but sadly, it tastes nothing like what e-fu noodles should taste like. I wouldn't even know that they're supposed to be e-fu noodles if I just blindly tasted. I would not get this again here. 3/5 Pad see ew beef - $13; Again, like the mushroom noodles, it didn't taste like pad see ew. It's missing that sweetness and charred factor that's usually present in pad see ew. 3/5 Pad Kra Pao (??) - I can't remember if it's this dish that I got, but it was some type of Thai rice dish with a meat sauce. It was so terrible, I only ate 10% of it and didn't take it to go. 1/5 Pad thai - I didn't try it but my friend got it and the color looked really off. Aside from the food, there are other improvements to be made here. It seems like a family-run restaurant, with only two workers facing the customers. It's really hard to get their attention when the restaurant is busy. The space is very tight and looks like it could be more well-maintained. They also need more menus. Hard to share just one with the whole table.

The green sauce is slightly spicy but pairs well with the chicken. The chicken is fried to excellence, it's juicy, the crunch is superb and really flavorful. My girlfriend got the sushi combo bento, which came with 6 different rolls/3 pieces per roll, Kani and seaweed salad and 2 pieces of nuggets. It's such a good value for the money and honestly tastes amazing. Definitely an underrated place! Highly recommend you give it a try.
