I recently purchased an older home that needed updating. I had six windows replaced and couldn't be happier with them. Ugh, seriously not cool. We have used this company before, the last time about 7 years ago. 3 different houses, at different times with excellent service and prices, over the last approx.12 years. Now, with this estimate, (June 3, 2019) I found out they are under new ownership and as you can see, if you have worked with them pre new owner, they have not changed any of the info here, even keeping the old owners pictures and information as if they are the same entity and they most certainly are not. I consider this fraud. Yelp still claims they are family owned and operated, still claim to make the frames hand made in Upland, which I find highly unlikely. If they are, its from a company who yet again are trying to take advantage of hard working people to pave their way by taking advantage. Maybe it was the salesman? His name is Paul. He data mined me with his questions while working up the bid for only 3 windows, (my bad for answering with anything but none of your business) then offered up his own information that was definitely saying far too much to someone who takes Yelp and the reviews pretty serious. First that the family who use to own this company sold and now they are under new ownership. The one who helped us on our last three projects is no longer working there specifically because of the ownership change. (I asked him if that is why the prior salesman left and he said yes, straight up.) His bid came out to 2200.00 dollars and I will say again, for only 3 windows. Literally double what I would of been charged by the family who once owned this company. I told him that would not fly and he claimed that the prices are what they are and that he could not do anything about it and even stated to me that my other bids would come out to the same. Well, I already knew he was wrong but now I can confirm he is wrong as well because I've had 3 other bids beyond his and all of them were just over 1k. All of them also licensed and not fly by nights or handymen but actual window installers who do so for a living. I find it pretty offensive when companies do this, claim they are family owned and operated when they are not. (He was not a family member at all.) Or claim other peoples hard work as their own by not updating the Yelp to show the changes. As I mentioned, they still keep the family photo of the prior owners up as their main image. The family I know based on several jobs and have worked with for 12 years up until now. So, beware, what they show on their Yelp is no longer the same family, which is a shame because Paul lost the new owners a repeat customer who had been going to them for a very long time. I'm pretty surprised there are so many happy people over how Paul interacts. I can only assume most of the reviews here did not get many other bids because if they had they would of found much less expensive for much better windows elsewhere. The bid we went with that is just over 1k for the three windows has a lifetime warranty, even against accidentally breaking the glass. For as long as we own the home, if we break a window or if the frame malfunctions or if the hinges get stiff and we have issues opening or closing the windows, all completely covered for the lifetime of our home. This is coming from a very big, familiar to all, company that is not likely to be going out of business any time soon. If Paul had interacted with me more professionally I can see why I may have stopped with him and not bothered to get other estimates. Had his pricing been fair, we definitely would have continued to use this company for our window needs but he messed up pretty big with asking questions that were none of his business and in hearing that we own several homes, I'm pretty sure that is why the price went up so severely. He wasn't willing to negotiate and now I'm pretty thankful for that since we have ended up finding a much better company to go with. I'm sorry to have lost the original owners of Home Time Windows though. They were amazing people. P.S. Interesting fact that in the few days since my interaction with Paul, the old family photo has been removed. Maybe there is some hope for them yet but not at those prices. read more

We were referred to Hometime Windows & Doors by Redlands Heating & Air. We live in an old Victorian house so things are not exactly square nor energy efficient, so we needed to replace 22 windows, I know, that's a lot of windows. We were and are very pleased with the personal attention we received and the care and respect they they gave to us, our pets, and our home. They make their own windows so they were able to fit our custom needs even the two very large and strangely shaped windows we have. Everyone was helpful and pleasant. Paul showed us their product and worked up our quote and patiently answered our continual questions, and we ask a lot of questions. Danny's crew was friendly, professional and quick. Andrew called to make sure we were happy with their work. I really appreciate the customer service. The only set back was the rain, so we had to reschedule for them to finish trimming the windows on a sunnier day. The other set back was the windows that were ordered from a different company for our upstairs. I wanted double hung windows that tilt in for cleaning, I am not about to climb on a ladder to clean windows. Since Hometime does not get a lot of call for these style of windows they had to be ordered from another vendor. Those windows did not fit properly so they quickly reordered a better size and will return to finish the last install. We are very understanding that stuff happens and don't blame anyone for the set backs. We would do business with them again, but hopefully won't need to for a long time, lol.
