Pretty much everything. We had 9 original (1955) crank out steel frame windows and 7 1970's aluminum frame windows and a 5' x 7' aluminum patio sliding glass door (1970's) replaced. Did the demo and install in one day. Once we signed the contract the installers ( they actually make the windows ) came out to remeasure on a Sunday and did the installation the following Saturday. I was not happy with the service. They guaranteed a job and were not able to complete it due to our HOA rules .. they require for Company's to have Workers Comp ins for workers before they step in to your property. We had given a deposit and when we had to cancel the order they did not refund the deposit. I don't believe with a week or so windows were in production. What a scam. Shame on them and the owner ceo whatever she is Maribel. Speaking to other company's a refund should have been given back to the customer. She guaranteed a job and she wasn't able to complete. read more

This by far was the biggest nightmare hiring this company for a job. It was a disaster from the beginning. Our driveway was cracked and damaged from the delivery truck and we were not compensated. All panels of the windows on the door were scratched and a new one had to be ordered to be replaced. It took the actual company of the window for the screens to fit about 12 trips to finally have the job done right. The actual manager of the company had to come out to make sure they were installed correctly. We had a list of things that they had to come back and fix because it was not done right the first time. The entire job took 4 months to complete when it should've taken weeks. I would not recommend this company at all. It was a nightmare going back and forth with the owners and having to followup on everything. The only positive thing is the job did get done and the company did communicate with us. We were glad to finally be done with it. read more

We recently moved into a home that had a very small patio door (approximately 5ft) that was in bad shape. When reviewing our list of renovations, this was an item of primary concern that we wanted addressed right away. From beginning to end, from the first Yelp message sent to the in person estimate and remeasure and finally the installation, we could not have asked for a smoother and wonderful process. Initially we considered the idea of knocking out our window and patio door to combine it to one large patio door to allow for more openness. However, due structural challenges, we could not follow through. David worked with us in developing the next best option: beautiful French doors that would really elevate and open up the space. Our house needed new windows as they were original single-pane and not only let in debris, dirt, dust, and heat/cold, but would shake and rattle violently during high wind days. After meeting with David we were pleased with his professionalism, answered all of our questions, and liked the quality of window samples he brought. We were planning for an estimated installation within the month of July but was shocked when David said the windows were ready after only 1 1/2 weeks. We made it work with our schedule and the crew really worked hard, even accommodating me on the first day and stopping installation when I had to leave for the evening. For most of the second day it was only Sergio working and he was even able to get our new sliding glass door installed on his own and it looks fantastic. The difference inside the house was immediate. Our thermostat no longer runs continuously trying to reach its target temperature and we can barely hear outside noise to the point it started raining Thursday afternoon and I had no idea until I heard thunder. Everytime I called them for a follow up they would tell me how busy they are and could not give me an istall date for a sliding glass door. Chose Silver Lining Restoration for windows after shopping with 5 or 6 other companies. Our first interaction with David was perfect. He didn't sell us anything we didn't need or want and gave us exactly the information that was pertinent to the job. After going over prices, I was shocked at how much cheaper they were, but as summer approached, we needed new windows desperately. We even wanted to cut some of the wall in our master to make for a more sensible window, and 4 of the companies said they couldn't even do every window in the house let alone that piece! We initially had a bit of trouble scheduling the windows, but once we got it all hammered out, Sergio and his team showed up on time and ready to work, and within 2 days, they put up and sealed every window. The cut part of the window sill? Sergio himself not only patched it, but also textured and painted it, and the color matched exactly! I was shocked at how professional, smooth, and quickly the install went. The windows themselves are high quality too! They open and close easily, and I was actually a bit worried the first night because they blocked so much of the outside noise, and got a bit cold a few days later because the heat was blocked so well.
