What a great experience we had with United Builders from the first phone call all the way to the final payment and finished product. The whole team was phenomenal, professional and the customer service was the best, by far, that we've experienced in many years, we can't say enough about this wonderful journey in getting our new windows. The team always called to introduce themselves and tell us their part and what we could expect from them and then, they always followed up with a text when they couldn't reach us on the phone. Punctuality, great product, communication, price and I can't say enough about the customer service.. off the chart! We had 15 windows installed and the quality in the installation and the precise cuts in the framing added such a great detail to each window inside the house and the way they retro fitted the exterior part of the windows with our wood trim.. it came out looking better than before and like they were one piece with the wood trim. My picture window and rain privacy glass windows are my favorites, they stand out and wow, is an understatement. Im a very picky, cautious person and a big do it yourself person...Thank you to the whole team for surpassing my expectations, putting my nerves to rest and for making this undoubtedly one of my best hiring experiences! read more

TL;DR: One star. The installation itself may have been fine, but when the crew damaged my mother's Traeger smoker, the owner, Rick, initially accepted responsibility and promised to make it right. After weeks of one-sided follow-up, he reversed course, accused us of essentially trying to scam his company, and refused to cover the repair. We had planned to hire this company for an upcoming $10K+ project. We are incredibly grateful we found out how they handle problems before moving forward. Run, don't walk, to the next company you received a quote from. During a door and window installation, the crew knocked my mom's Starlink panel off a table next to her Traeger smoker on the deck. Fortunately, the Starlink wasn't damaged. However, the incident immediately drew our attention to the adjacent Traeger, where a knob had been completely sheared off. My family had recently cooked a meal using the smoker, and it was fully functional--including the temperature-control knob--before the crew arrived. We immediately called Rick that same afternoon. He told us mistakes happen, emphasized that his employees were like family to him, and assured us he always makes things right. During the conversation, Rick even volunteered stories about other incidents involving his crews: a $700 lamp they had broken at another customer's home, a screwdriver dropped from a roof that broke another customer's windshield, a broken garage door he was dealing with at another home, and so on. At the end of the call, he took $150 off our nearly $5,000 project and promised to get the Traeger repaired. I specifically told him I did NOT have the time to manage the repair myself since his crew had caused the damage. He agreed. The next day, Rick texted that his guys didn't know they had damaged it but were extremely apologetic because they liked my mother. He again accepted responsibility and said they would handle the repair. See Exhibit A. Then nothing happened. I followed up. See Exhibit B. Eventually, I was told the foreman was looking into metal glue. Then nothing happened again. After another follow-up, the story completely changed. See Exhibit C. Rick essentially accused my family of trying to defraud his company and said he wasn't spending $600 on an "old, rusty smoker" because his team hadn't damaged it. Please. This was almost a $5,000 project. Do you really think I would spend hours following up, contacting Traeger, researching repairs, and dealing with a contractor over a few hundred dollars because I wanted to scam someone? This was never about the money. It was about principle, integrity, and accountability. Rick is a smooth talker--he can talk the talk as a salesman. Unfortunately, in our experience, he didn't walk the walk. At one point, Rick sent us back the same photograph we had originally sent him showing the Starlink on the ground next to the smoker, apparently as part of his "investigation." Rather than honoring his original commitment, he used the photo to construct an explanation for why he believed his crew couldn't have caused the damage. See Exhibit D. I ultimately spent hours dealing with Traeger technical support. Traeger confirmed multiple times that there was no way to simply glue the sheared component back onto the smoker. Interestingly, while Rick and his team claimed they couldn't find the part because it was such an old smoker, Traeger immediately located it and emailed me the price, quote, and ordering information. Surprise: metal glue wasn't going to cut it. I paid $160 for a replacement temperature controller box and then received a $450 quote for a handyman to travel to my mom's house to complete the repair. So much for "just use metal glue." My mom is absolutely infuriated. I'm honestly not sure what upsets her more: being called a liar by Rick or having her beloved smoker referred to as "old and rusty." And that's the real lesson here: Mistakes happen. What matters is how a company handles them. Rick initially accepted responsibility and promised to make it right. After weeks of inaction and repeated follow-ups from my side, he changed his story, questioned our integrity, minimized the damage, and refused to stand behind what he had promised. If you have multiple contractors quoting similar prices and the main thing drawing you to this company is how smooth Rick is during the initial sales pitch, RUN -- don't walk -- to the next company on your list. Maybe you'll have a five-star experience. I genuinely hope you do. That's what we expected based on the majority of the Google and Yelp reviews. But you may also end up in the one-star section of Yelp wondering why nobody warned you. Go look at my other reviews. I don't make a habit of bashing businesses. I generally prefer smaller companies because I want to support people who genuinely care about their customers. Rick says he cares about his customers. See Exhibits F. In our experience, the follow-through simply wasn't there. read more

I had an excellent experience with United Builders from start to finish. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Rick and the team took the time to answer all of my questions, provided clear communication, and completed the installation on schedule. The quality of the Anlin windows and sliding doors exceeded my expectations. They are made here in California and not overseas. Everything looks fantastic, operates smoothly, and has already made a noticeable difference in both the appearance and comfort of my home. The installers were respectful of my property, and left everything clean when the job was finished. If you're looking for a local SoCal reliable company that delivers quality workmanship and outstanding customer service, I highly recommend them. I'm extremely happy with the results and price and would definitely use them again for future projects!! read more

2nd time having United Builders do our Anlin Windows. First time in 2014 and now just recently in my new home April 2026. Rick the owner is very knowledgeable and easy to do business with. I was looking to replace a few older windows in my home and reached out to 3-4 different companies. Rick was the only one that delivered! The other companies didn't even ask what I wanted, they just sent me a quote based on assumptions. Rick and Grayson came out and showed me my options, explained the benefits and quoted me a more than fair price. These guys are the true epitome of sales and customer service. The guys who came out to measure and install were top notch and had everything completed so quickly and professionally. I'm so grateful to have come across United Builders and would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for new windows. read more

OMG! I can't tell you how good this company is (Rick). We got estimates a few years ago and when Rick came, there was NO pressure, No BS, and we signed immediately. We love our windows. Now 2 yrs later we need windows in our rental. We decided to go cheap but the companies we called were cheap but expensive. Expensive for cheap windows. So we decided to call Rick. We signed another contract with him, now we're getting good windows for cheap. It's a Win Win a 2nd time with United Builders. Thank you. So many companies out there. We will always refer Rick from now on. It's a Trust issue and we have 100% trust in United Builders. I will update later when the job is complete. read more

United Builders did an excellent job from start to finish. The entire project of replacing all our home windows went very smoothly. They deliver to their promises in quality and timing. Their prices are very competitive, with equivalent if not better quality. I definitely recommend them for any windows replacement project. read more

From the beginning, install was late and took longer than expected. They put in a larger window in the kitchen and semi patched the edges which I had to repair. They broke and damaged my counter top four months ago. They filled in gap with a bright gray non matching material. They did not put grout in tile where sliding door was installed. I have repeatedly asked for assistance and they have still not completed this. We paid almost 40k and this is the treatment we are getting. I have tried calling and getting updates but am now forced to file a complaint. read more

In giving us our free estimate, owner, Rick, arrived in a timely manner. He was professional, personable, and courteous. His price significantly beat the competition. His team was in contact with us often and the Anlin slider door was installed on time, professionally, and cleanly. However, that's not all. When I had a question about a year later, I emailed Rick and he got right back to me. Our kids had leaned on the screen a lot and eventually tore it. Rick got *right* back to me, explained that screens aren't covered, but he made a recommendation. About a year after that, I asked him about changing the deadbolt on the slider for one that locks with a key (my kids have figured out how to circumvent the deadbolt). He took the question immediately to Anlin and the answer is pending. My point is that the entire experience has been smooth and United Builders follows through with you *even years after installing only a single window*. We chose United Builders for our slider after another company approached us and sold us on the product. After installation, it was clear they made promises they would not follow through with. When it was time to replace our slider, we contact the same company, but said no to their slider price. Their salesman left in an unprofessional huff. So we called United Builders and have never looked back. Whatever our next project may be with windows, it would be with United Builders. read more

We had 16 large windows and a slider installed. Rick was our sales guy, and he was amazing, so kind and informative. Noah was great to work with and kept us up-to-date on the entire process. Overall great experience from the administrative folks. They made the process so easy. The crew that came out to do the installation were friendly and awesome. They showed up on time, worked very hard, and did all the windows and slider in two days. They were very clean and respectful of my property. Everything came out gorgeous! Overall, it is a highly recommended company! read more

Rick was a pleasure to work with. We had 12 windows replaced back in 2020 and I'm happy we made the upgrade. The Anlin Catalina windows look and work great. United Builders is great! My wife and I had initially hired a different (closer) company for one of three sliding doors we wanted installed and had a nightmare experience of months-long delays and general shadiness. Once the dust settled, we had our sliding door and a few more stress lines. So we sought out United Builders for the remaining two doors. Their whole process was easy, direct and high-quality. They came to our house and even inspected the other guys' work to A) make sure it'd been installed correctly and B) make sure the two new doors matched the aesthetic of the first one. The whole process was fast, honest and transparent. And everyone we interacted with erred on the side of over-communicating, not under-communicating, which was a nice reassurance. Strong recommend! read more

I give United Builders 5 stars for these reasons: 1. They came in with the best offer. 2. Our initial meeting was straight to the point, with no time wasted or cheesy sales tactics. 3. Installation was FAST. They were done within a couple hours! 4. During the installation, they noticed one of the screens had a small tear, and they immediately placed a call for it to be replaced! 5. Weeks later, one of our windows was difficult to angle out for cleaning, and when something on it snapped, they handled that too! New window frame coming our way soon. Very pleased, and would easily recommend to my close friends and family. read more

Great service, great installation and great quality product. We had our windows and slider replaced with United's Anlin windows. We did the retrofit. We did half of the house one year and the other half the following year and couldn't be happier. We had replaced 10 year old Milgard windows and it's a night and day difference in the glass, the efficiency, seals and locks were a night and day difference. We couldn't be more happier. No complaints. read more

United builder has installed new windows and patio door for my house today. Rick is knowledgeable in his products. He's trustworthy and quoted me a reasonable price for the project. I had done lots of research before I picked United Builder for my house project. I also like the part that he only collect a small deposit, then he will wait until all the windows are installed to collect the final payment. Some other window companies would require you to pay a high amount of deposit before they even starting the job. Anlins windows are great looking and in good quality. Rick's team is also good in coordination and installation. Noah is polite and his team is doing a good job. I would recommend you to give Rick a call if you're thinking installing new windows for your house. Thanks to Rick , Noah and the team. read more
