Several of the windows in my home face due south. Although they were double pane, they had almost zero insulation remaining after 25 years of massive sun. The temperature in the south facing bedroom on a hot 90 degree plus day would always be nine degrees hotter than the rest of the house. I decided to replace not only the four windows in the south facing bedroom, but six other windows that can be viewed in the same field of vision from the street, to keep the aesthetics consistent. The replacement windows I selected are double pane argon gas filled to help keep the heat out during the summer season. I put out a bid on Yelp and narrowed the field down to two companies, Note I did not select the least expensive bid, but actually selected the most expensive bid. My reasoning was a solid five star Yelp rating, BBB A+++ rating and the knowledge and excellent follow up provided by the salesperson, David White. Other factors in my decision were silver coating on the glass to reduce the intense green hue that most argon gas filled windows exhibit and exterior window casings that are solid without decorative ribs that would collect dirt. I was provided with a detailed explanation of the process and same day estimate. The process from start to finish took five weeks. This would have been as little as two weeks if I did not have an arch top window. Curved windows take longer to build, at least for Ameristar. It took me a while to prepare the two rooms, so I was not in a big hurry. The installation was done yesterday. The crew was on time, polite, and from my view, was extremely careful and exhibited excellent attention to detail. The 10 windows were installed in one day. The crew cleaned up their mess very well and everything went according to plan. I am completely satisfied with the entire process. The windows are very elegant looking, not so green and make the house look better. I trust that the temperature in the south facing bedroom will level out with the rest of the house with the argon gas in the windows. Five stars all the way. Well done. read more

We are very happy that we went with Ameristar to replace our old aluminum framed, single panel windows. The process was seamless from the consultation to the install day. They came out to measure all 13 windows, manufactured them and installed them within a week. Durning the install, Arni, Jerry and their crew were professional, treated our house with care and left us with quality windows while doing a great job of keeping the job site clean from beginning to end. At the end of the day, they inspected each window a final time with me and made any adjustments necessary, there weren't many, just a piece of debris under a track that they easily removed. 8 months ago we contracted Ameristar Windows to replace 39 windows in our home. No better a decision have we ever made with a building contractor. The estimate was highly professional with any hard or up-selling. The installation of our LoE3-366 glass was flawless, and took less than two days. Their highly professional crew was friendly, polite, methodical, well kept and very considerate of property. Once they get started they are all business. Each technician has a specific task, there were no glitches or delays and we were startled when they said "we're done". This project had been delayed several years partly because we didn't like the appearance of some window-replacement projects in the neighborhood. We're pleased to report the trim is modest and tasteful and stucco undisturbed. One window needed a more custom finish and it was expertly done. The appearance of our home has been greatly enhanced. In winter we are accustomed to using the HVAC almost every day from mid-December through February. This past winter we used it 3 or 4 times, just to warm up the house on particularly dank and dreary Southern California days. The rains had no effect on the finish and there were no leaks or malfunctions. Throughout this very hot summer and we notice a definite improvement in HVAC efficiency the HVAC cycles are shorter than they ever have been. It gets fairly windy in the late afternoon noon out here and these definitely reduce dust accumulation in the home. We were shocked (and pleased) to see the estimate and final cost compared to competitors - Now that we have experienced the performance of the windows I can say it was one of the best investments we ever made. First, I can't say enough about their salesman David White. I am really turned off by high pressure salesman. David's low-pressure approach and warm demeanor was wonderful. After our first meeting and sales presentation we told him we wanted to get other bids and compare price and windows. Instead of trying to pressure us he encouraged us to shop around. He said he was confident that once we did we would want to go with Ameristar. Once we got some other bids that had come in lower than Ameristar I let David know our thinking on our window project and we were leaning towards another company. He was able to beat the price from the other company and I was convinced to go with Ameristar. Again Dave is a great salesman. We tried to purchase the windows but delay, after delay - and they failed to return calls and email. There's lots of excuses. Finally, he called back and stopped by to look again at the project and to write us a new quote. After his visit, we have heard nothing. Ameristar ghosted us - no quote and not even a courtesy email saying they were not interested. It would have been better for him to just say he didn't want the job, and we would have all been fine with that. We're done. Conor seems competent and nice, and he and his company were highly recommended. Maybe he was just too busy or just didn't want the work in our area of Orange County. It should be noted that there were some supply issues initially due to COVID causing material delays. But in 2024, it was past the COVID disruptions. Conor must just be very busy. If we could give the company 5000 stars we would!!!!! Connor was our guy, he came out to house to inspect and give an estimate. We appreciated his honesty (We had bad windows) he answered all our questions and concerns. We received a few quotes from other companies but chose to go with Ameristar Windows. Installation was a little scary it was really windy in our area that day. The installation team were so careful with covering our personal belongs. They worked all day for 12 hours. At the end of the night they vacuumed, wiped down and cleaned up anything that they had touched. First off, we had a few family members over and without even telling them we had new windows installed they ALL noticed before walking in the house. The craftsmanship on the windows are done so perfectly it is hard not to notice. Our sons room faces the sun everyday and it would get extremely hot in his room daily. That heat has completely stopped it is mind-blowing the difference in temperatures now. We live on a semi busy street and constantly hear the cars passing through. The sound we can hear from outside noise has decreased dramatically. Our Neighbor across the street has multiple dogs who protect our street. We cannot at times even hear them barking. Kind of a spur of the moment, decided to get some stuff done on our home. Called ameristar and another company that had high rated reviews. Connor came out pretty quickly , gave us a ball park quote for the whole home and back of the home. It was a bit more then we were expecting as I said it was more of a spur of the moment type thing. If you're looking for the best customer service ever, look no further. This is a rare find in today's world. I had two large windows installed when COVID hit. The following year I had the stucco redone. There ended up being an issue with the windows, and they leaked. I didn't realize it until the couch was moved from against the wall. Then I could see where the plaster had bubbled. Conor and one of his guys came right out and inspected it. He presented me with two alternatives. One was to caulk around the pop-outs that were installed by the stucco guys. The second was to totally replace both windows. Conor thought caulking would fix the issue but let me decide how I wanted to proceed. I chose to have them replaced. It was disappointing since the windows had to be replaced as a new build, the stucco had to be torn out around the windows and redone. Also the trim around the windows had to be replaced and the plaster cut out and replaced. But Conor true to his word covered everything without hesitation even though he thought the more inexpensive way would work. I just didn't want to take a chance, and he honored that. This is a man and a company that truly stands behind their name and product which is a rare find in this day and age. It was unfortunate to have leaking. But sometimes things just don't go as they should. But if that happens, you definitely want Ameristar to be the ones you're working with. Had glass sliding doors installed 2 years ago. I was very pleased with their work and the quality of the doors. However, a few months ago I noticed a pinkish tinge inside of the glass. Could not wash off. I decided to read up on their warranty policy. I called and explained to Martha the problem. She said she would let me no when a technician would be in my area to inspect the doors. Tech came by within 10 days and agreed that this was a warranty issue.
