There was a Pocket door here before
    Ken Y.

First we called a Big National Company. They came out and said we can't fix your custom round window, but we can replace it with a square window for $5k. Then they said oh your pocket door we don't touch interior doors. Then our rear door they gave us a $15k estimate but if you act now we can do $10k. The guy said good luck getting anyone to fix your window or even touch your Rear Door for under $5k. I found Hawks Doors and Windows doing a Google Search a local company. I called spoke to Matthew. I said what we were looking to do he said we can do all that. I scheduled an appointment for a quote. Matthew should up looked at everything gave us all kinds of brochures. He took measurements. Sent an email the next day with the quote. We got a fabulous quote under $5k to remove and replace the front security screen, replace the pocket door with a regular door. Replace the old worn out back door and add a matching security screen, have a custom round dual pane glass window replaced. These guys are Awesome. We are so pleased with the quality of work and materials. We were told it may take 6-8 weeks after we accepted the quote and made a down payment. Matthew called me a week or so later saying oh we can schedule you on 10/03/2024. I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't even 4 weeks. Today is the day. I got a confirmation email yesterday reminding me of my appt. Got a text at 0830 this morning saying the team was 30 minutes out. 3 guys showed up at 0900 and they busted their butts from 0900-1730. Our house is old and we knew we had termite damage just not sure how bad. It wasn't terrible and no live termites TYJ. All brand new locks keyed alike for back door and security screens. Window is not ready yet. They should be back 1 week from today to install our custom round dual pain window. We plan on using them again for all our interior doors to match our new interior door "Shaker" Style. I highly recommend this company. A+ Window installed today 10/11/2024. It fits and looks amazing. Custom Round Window.

Matthew was great to work with and was the only installer who listened to me for this very special installation using Block Frame Aluminum Milgard windows in the existing frames so there's no change to the exterior aesthetics of the house as would be done with exterior J flange style retrofit windows. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hawks Doors and Windows and have already contracted with them again to replace a 65 year old pocket door in a few weeks. For your door and window needs, call Hawks!

I used Hawks Doors & Windows through a security screen installation purchase from Lowe's. Bryan came out to measure and give me a run down of how installation would go (I would need to remove my curved trim to attach screen) and he was very kind and professional. On installation day, Bryan and his coworker were on time and worked quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up when they were done and helped set the hardware to my set of keys. I am very pleased with their service and would recommend them!

This is the new door. Brian from Hawks Doors and Windows installed. He had to work in a 4 inch space behind a Huge Palapa Pole. Great job!

This was the 5th company we called and unfortunately not the first one we hired. Hawks Doors and windows have transformed a nightmare into a dream. To cut to the chase, Matthew, the owner quoted us within 24 hours of measuring, and kept us updated and well informed, while the installer Brian did an excellent job on a challenging back door and custom made security door installation. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. But Hawks Doors and Windows was not the first people hired to do this job. And before finding them, our excitement in anticipating new doors turned into a dreadful nightmare. Our back door was literally falling apart. The frame had broken away from the full glass area. Our double entry front steel doors, 6" jam, had a split in the front side near the locking mechanism, so we decided it was time to replace them all. First we asked the guy, who was working on a wrought iron project for us, who also did our wrought iron interior and exterior security doors, if he did wood or fiberglass entry doors. He said no, but recommended CompanyX1 and said I'll remove and reinstall the security doors. So we paid the wrought iron guy to remove them. Unfortunately companyX1 disclosed, a little too late, that his specialty was concrete, not doors. The custom doors we waited 2 months for, arrived but CompanyX1 did not discover the double entry doors were made for a 4" jam, until he tried to install them. The refund for those doors was granted immediately, their error, but our entry was butchered and we were left with 2 4x8 panels screwed over the front opening. We desperately needed to find someone asap, who specialized in doors, because now we only had the old-broken back door functional. We called Company X2 who said the earliest date they could come over (19 miles away) to measure was in three weeks. So we called Therma-Tru and asked if they could recommend someone. CompanyX3 was Therma-Tru certified and they came out and measured the next day. They were very nice and said the front doors have to be a custom ordered for 60" double doors because your opening is only 62" and standards have changed. But the back door is standard at 36" so if you find one you like we can break up the job and install the back one first or we can order it with the front doors. We said great. You're hired. Just send us a quote and we'll pay the deposit. The next day we actually found a Therma-Tru Door with a small window at Lowes and texted them, we were ready for the back and wanted to move forward ordering the front doors and asked for the quote. For over a week we heard nothing. We called and texted, they apologized and said they were very tied up with a 30x window quote, but would address our quote later that day or the next. After a few days passed, during which time a different guy from CompanyX4, came out to quote on three windows. While he was here he gave me his card and offered to quote on the boarded up entry. I said we are expecting a quote anytime now, but if you want measure for doors while you're here, go for it. He quoted us within a few days, but the door portion of the quote was for a 72" opening and also the height seemed off. We had to remind him the opening was 10 inches smaller and asked him to revisit the quote. When he sent the revised quote for the proper size, the numbers did not add up. He had miscalculated the total and was underquoting us by over 3K. I found BBB complaints against CompanyX4 and they mentioned suing those who had complained. That's when I searched google door reviews and found Hawks Doors & Windows. I thought this is amazing, too good to be true. But the truth is for these guys five stars is simply not enough. They are simply superior. The new back door is sealed, no gaps, no flaws and is a snug fit. They say you can't get all three quality, competitive pricing and service. The concept that you can't have all three - Pick Any Two is not true at Hawks Doors and Windows. We got great service, high quality workmanship, a very fair price and super nice caring people.

SURE GLAD I DID! I did not realize how much I did not know about "doors"! I can't believe I didn't not do this sooner! James was super professional and direct. Great pricing and quality of work speaks for itself. Everything was done in just a few hours! I am excited to be working with James again on getting more projects done in the near future.

It was clear it was time for a replacement. Before choosing James, I got a quote from a very popular windows and doors company in Orange County. James, the owner of Lucero's Windows and Doors, not only offered the best price but was also extremely responsive. He mentioned that he previously worked as a Home Depot installer, which gave me confidence that he was properly trained. I was initially cautious because of the low number of reviews, but the consistent perfect scores from other customers made me optimistic. Now, after working with him, I can confidently say that Lucero's Windows and Doors is the real deal. Because our home required a custom-sized door, James came out twice to take measurements. After about two weeks, the custom entry door arrived, and he completed the installation in a single day. He told me our home was one of the oldest he's worked on, and the walls were very different from newer builds. Despite the challenges, he made everything fit perfectly, and the final result looks fantastic. We no longer feel a draft under the door, and it swings smoothly without any issues.

Exceptional Front Door Replacement - Danny Alonzo is the Best!…read moreWe recently had our front door replaced and are absolutely thrilled with the results! Our installer, Danny Alonzo, was fantastic from start to finish. He has excellent communication skills and gave us a clear, realistic expectation of the time to completion. He was incredibly friendly, polite, and professional the entire time -- I honestly wish every contractor or vendor we use could be as good as Danny! We picked a custom color and the door came out exactly the shade we chose. It's solid, heavy, and makes a huge difference compared to our old door. We had bought and pre-painted our own interior moulding, and Danny installed it perfectly with no issues at all. I'm terrible at making clean silicone joints around moulding, but he did an amazing, professional job on them. He even went above and beyond when he noticed some stucco damage around the front door. He pointed it out to us and patched it beautifully -- way better than I could have done myself, lol! The finished door looks absolutely beautiful. My wife and I weren't 100% sure what to expect, but the quality and the final result made the entire expense completely worth it. The door feels rock-solid and looks incredible. We couldn't be happier! Highly recommend Danny Alonzo and this whole service. Thank you!

These windows are still perfect in every way. These woods come with value and reliability. When we added on to our home about 10 years ago, the contractor used their window company. We ordered some custom sized windows to keep consistency with the rest of our home...and those have never been right. A couple years ago the large, back window split in the frame. We had no question that Hometime would replace the window...and it's both well constructed & beautiful, with two perfectly working locks. The install was done by Eduardo and his crew. It was an early morning appointment, but Eduardo showed up in time. Both he and the other installer were friendly, efficient, and clean. They took less than 2 hours, door knock to exit, and left not a scrap or bit of dust in their perfect install. When we consider cost, style, AND locally, independently owned companies, we will have Hometime do all our windows, always. In the future we will also request Eduardo as our installer. Thanks!

I highly recommend this business to anyone :)

(This review includes a response to the business owner's reply)…read more I had a deeply disappointing experience with Paul's Windows, and I want to share it so that other homeowners know what to expect before working with this company. I reached out for a small bedroom window replacement and had one key requirement: that the new window, once installed, provide a minimum clear opening height of 13 inches. The sales associate, Art, confirmed via text that the manufacturer (Crystal Pacific) said it would: 13.1875", in fact. That was fine by me. But when I asked for that specification to be confirmed in the contract, in writing, Art refused. Let me be clear: I wasn't asking for a personal warranty on the product. I simply wanted confirmation that the installed window, as ordered and managed by Paul's Windows, would meet the functional requirement I had clearly communicated. Art repeatedly deflected, referring to "what the manufacturer said," but was unwilling to take responsibility for the result. When I asked for accountability, he became dismissive and eventually walked away from the job. I contacted Paul directly, hoping for a more professional response. Instead, I received a generic brush-off and a claim that the window wouldn't meet the specs, which contradicts what their own sales associate had already confirmed. Worse, Paul didn't acknowledge or engage with any of the valid concerns I raised around basic customer service, transparency, or professional responsibility. Ultimately, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was hiring a company to manage a job and deliver a specific result. If something went wrong, say, the manufacturer provided a window that didn't meet the spec, it would be on the contractor to resolve it, not on me to go chase down the supplier. That's what any responsible company would do. But Paul's Windows made it clear they don't see it that way. If you're okay with vague communication, contractors who won't stand behind their own work, and potentially being left to deal with problems on your own, maybe this company is fine. But if you want clarity, professionalism, and accountability in writing, then look elsewhere. § Paul's response below is a classic damage control move -- polite on the surface, but full of deflection and quiet rewriting of events. To clarify: the window in question would have met the required 13" clear opening. That wasn't in dispute. Art, their sales associate, confirmed that in writing and was fully prepared to proceed with the job -- until I asked for a simple written accountability. That's the moment everything fell apart. Paul's follow-up misrepresents the timeline and sidesteps the core issue -- not whether the window would fit, but whether the company was willing to stand behind the result they were being paid to deliver.
