I have used Jesse for my shutters at different places now. Every time, he is prompt and punctual. He can give me a quote if I give him estimates on size of windows. And then he gives me a price. He will then come to the house to measure for sure. E&j offers shutters (real wood) with lifetime warranty and the trim / molding as well! The shutters come in a few options. Top and bottom can be opened/ closed separately. They also have ones with the bar/stick hidden in the back (more $ but easier to clean). They also have blinds (it's buy one get one free right now but I don't like blinds as much). They also have roller blinds (NOT PART OF THE B1G1 deal though). Blackout for the rollers and light filtering. I'd say blackout for bedrooms and light filtering for common areas. Oh they also have motors for the rollers too! Overall, love these guys. My sister had a custom wooden shutter purchased and installed by the professionals at E&J Shutters and Blinds. My sister received three estimates and decided to go with E&J because of a neighbor's recommendation, they fabricate their own product locally in Corona and the price beat two others by a substantial amount. The shutter was beautiful, and installed when promised. I decided it was time for me to get rid of my ancient window coverings and decided to go with shutters. I am no stranger to shutters as I had them installed in another home. On the day of my sister's install, her representative, Alysha Medina who attended the install, was able to come to my house and give me an estimate. I decided I wanted wooden plantation shutters on all of my nine windows and two sliding glass doors with a 50/50 feature and reverse adjustment bars. My small house in Fountain Valley is all windows and sliders in the back and side so I was very anxious on the outcome. Alysha measured the windows and doors, gave me a quote and recommended I get vinyl rather than wood over the sink. I was very satisfied with the cost of custom made shutters including the installation. Thanks to my sister shopping other companies, i decided to get the job done. E&J sent out Allan to confirm Alysha's measurements which was very comforting to me. I was promised 3-5 weeks on installation and it was one day before the three weeks as promised. Install was confirmed on the day before with arrival time. Leo and Manuel were the installers and without a doubt knew exactly what they were doing. The installation and accuracy of their hard work was worth every penny I spent. It truly was a pleasant experience and I couldn't be more satisfied. Positive - ordered shutters and remote control battery operated blinds a few years back. Installed pretty quickly, blinds and shutters are of good quality. Negative - battery life of blinds and after care service. After a charge our blinds probably last about 2 days before hearing the beep for a recharge. We requested a call out to see if there was an issue with the motor but apparently we were given the incorrect charger from the get go. Requested the new / correct charger for our product and we have been waiting over a month a still have not received the item. Blinds are more or less dead and we cannot operate them. We have called numerous times for a follow up but not update. After care service is incredibly poor. Would recommend looking at other companies. Very disappointed Updated - since my review, I want to give an update. The company came out, took away the old motors and replaced them with newer model. Battery life is far superior then that on the original. New remote and charger also. The turnaround was about a week. Thank you to the owner and staff for putting things right in the end. read more
