I like the expansive menu, I definitely will have to go back to try other options. I did a make your own bowl and perhaps I did not pick my ingredients well, it was just OK. The employees were very kind and welcoming when we walked in and made sure we knew where to order and that there was customer water off to the side. The atmosphere is relaxed with smooth music and wooden tables including long high tops with barstools at the windows. The staff was friendly and explained how to order. I had questions about the ingredients in my order and they were happy to go check on it. I ordered the Rob 5-0. The steel cut oats were cooked perfectly with a substantial amount of peanut butter to fulfill my protein requirements. The bananas were perfectly ripe, not too soft or too green. We thoroughly enjoyed Homespun Kitchen! All the employees were so friendly and helpful! It was our first visit and it showed. Haha. The food was fresh and delicious. We both decided on make your own bowls. I had chicken thighs, roasted cauliflower, black beans pickled red onion on a lettuce base with balsamic dressing. Yum! My husband made a similar bowl but had the cashew Taziki as his dressing. He really enjoyed his bowl as well. He also order a Chunky Monkey smoothie without oats or honey. It was still super delicious! Last but not least the inside was clean, bright and cheery with a huge window looking out onto a covered patio with picnic tables. There were even bowls for dogs out there! I would highly recommend trying out Homespun Kitchen. We actually can't wait to go back and select something different from the menu! read more

I just wanted to leave a review because this place does it right. The manager Cody is simply refined and great with his whole staff. Like SERIOUSLY!!!! I have been coming in a lot lately and not only is he politely and calmly training his staff (a lot but in a great way) throughout the day, they are also KILLING IT with their genuine happiness and excellent customer service. Everyone is so pleasant and willing to assist. I commend the owners for choosing Cody.. I commend Cody for his leadership skills and his hand picking of his staff....... and I commend the staff for their ability to work well within theirselves and with customers that come in. My mom, dad, and myself went for a quick dinner last night, and I can not overstate the kindness of the gentleman at the register! He saw I was Shazam'ing a song, and went over and told me what it was via the music control. My mom took a thousand years to order (no judgement, I get it), and he helped her every step of the way, even offering a taste of the vegan mac and cheese to see if it was up her alley (it wasn't up her alley, but it was up my alley for sure. A little smokier than non-vegans would expect, but as a vegan, I loved it). The food was very good, with excellent portion sizes. I got a slightly varied Harvest Bowl and had zero complaints. Parking felt a little funky, especially as we drove up in the dark, so keep an eye out as you approach Homespun Kitchen! Checked into this second and newest location for Homespun offering scratch breakfast items near Riverside. The "sweet heat" breakfast wrap was recommended by an enthusiastic and friendly staff member and did not disappoint. The area is in transition with construction going up everywhere you look. While parking spaces were limited (and a little unwieldy to maneuver into) there was ample street parking on a weekday. read more

No basket, no plate, no place mat, no knife/fork (napkins were on the table), just the burrito wrapped in foil. A few feet away was a huge, open, outdoor trash can, the type you might see at a picnic site, but inside. The burrito was fine and except for the nasty trash cans, the dining room was pleasant enough. read more
