We spent a couple hours at the beach this morning and decided to pick up some subs for lunch on our way home. The sub shop is located in the shopping center right at the intersection near Mickler's Beach. They have about ten cold subs as well as ten hot subs. Service was friendly and fast. There are a few tables for eating in, but most of the orders seemed to be takeout. We ordered two Italian subs and one Jacksonville sub. The meat and vegetables tasted great. The bread could have been a little fresher, and it is the only reason I gave my review 4 stars instead of 5. read more

I had gone hiking with my son at Guana River Management Area, so when I saw this restaurant was nearby I decided to take him for lunch. My cousins-in-law had visited and said it was good. It was easy to find via Google Maps and there was plenty of parking when we pulled up. It was around $26 for all of our order, and we got our drink then snagged the table by the door. The cookies were already made, so my son started eating his chocolate chip cookie and ate it in full. The woman brought out our food to us, and I was shocked at the size of the double decker PB&J! My sub was a decent size as well and full of ingredients. My son loved his sandwich and was covered in peanut butter and jelly, and my sub oozed with gold sauce. The owner came by a few times to check on us and make sure we were doing okay. I was stuffed by the second piece of sub and ate almost the whole thing. It was a nice and tasty visit and I could see this place being popular for Micklers Landing nearby. The workers helped recommend a sandwich with honey gold, which takes me back to my Memphis roots. Easily finished every bite.
