During the crisis, he began engaging in self-injurious behaviors, including hitting himself, yelling, and becoming physically dysregulated. His staff immediately stepped in to help keep him and others safe, but the situation escalated to the point that they called me to assist. I arrived and immediately implemented his crisis protocol to help de-escalate him. As a parent of a child with severe autism, I have unfortunately experienced many situations where people either do not understand autism, become frustrated, or simply do not know how to respond. Too often, families are met with judgment rather than support. Valeria, the store manager, completely changed that experience for us. She showed compassion, understanding, and professionalism in a moment that was incredibly stressful for our family. She helped make the area safe, redirected customers so we had room and privacy to support my son, and repeatedly checked in to ask if we needed anything. She never made us feel like a burden or an inconvenience. I cannot put into words how much that meant to me. In one of our hardest moments, she showed humanity and kindness. Autism awareness and understanding matter, and yesterday Valeria demonstrated exactly what that looks like. Thank you, Valeria. You left me speechless, and I will never forget the compassion you showed my son and our family.

There's no reason a customer with a receipt can't return an item, when there's even items on your racks that has no tags; Yet, you take the time to look the item up to be purchased, but can't do the same for a return?... makes no sense. Target corporate should be ashamed of this…read more This store sold an American Express gift card that was unusable, and when we asked for help, the response from staff to my brother was essentially, "Oh well, call American Express." That level of dismissiveness is unacceptable. Target chose to sell the product, take the money, and then immediately wash their hands of it when it failed. Even worse, I tried calling the store for support and no one answered. Not once. Gift cards are a known scam and tampering risk. If Target is going to keep them on racks, they need real monitoring, real training, and real accountability. Right now, it feels like Target is perfectly fine collecting the sale and leaving customers to clean up the damage.

For me that potentially opens skulldugury for enterprising thieves. Another big con is the lack of employee response to summons for assistance at locked displays (baby formula, booze, pain relief, deodorant, etc). I found their selection cat foods to be good and more consistently stocked than Target, for similar prices. Target, however, is far less chaotic inside.

It's a task just to find a decent shopping cart and the belts you're supposed to put your items on are ALWAYS dirty and wet. Stay away.
