Usually love coming here. Had the WORST experience today. Needed to use the restroom - one was locked, the other was FILTHY (so dirty, no toilet paper or toilet seat covers). I wait for about 10mins and no one comes out of the other restroom. I go back to shop and I hear the manager Ruby open the locked door to use that locked restroom (which I assume is clean). I wait again, another 10mins for her to come out so I can use the restroom. She stays in there and proceeds to use the phone. I can hear the entire conversation. Not sure why she flushed the toilet 7x, probably to pretend she was actually using the bathroom instead of being on the phone. She finally comes out so I try and use the restroom and she proceeds to tell me that bathroom is for employees only. I was a retail manager for years. Not once did I ever think to lock a door so customers couldn't use the bathroom. It didn't say "employees only" or anything either. And being on the phone for 10mins???? Aren't you on the clock? Why are you getting paid for being on the phone with your mom. So ridiculous. read more

The worst location I have been ever to rude management. I was with my sister the floor was full of shit she didn't notice and stepped into it we drew their attention. This Dollar Tree was so nicely organized and clean, loved the big aisles with no aisle obstacles. The customer service was phenomenal, like no other Dollar Tree I've been too. The American Blond lady was sooo nice and helpful, I forgot what her name said on her tag, she greeted everyone so cheery both at time of entering and when I was at the register, it was cheerful and sounded real, compared to other Dollar Trees I've been to, who make greeting someone sounding forced bcuz they work there LOL all the employees here were helpful and unnoticeably opened another register once needed. Manager was rude to me when I walked in line to cash out my items to starts off she sounded like she was in a bad mood and she told the cashier to make sure I didn't steal anything un front of all the other customers, I am a hard working individual I don't need this kind of disrespect, everything u have is from hard work and this kind of profiling shouldn't be allowed, the other customers just looked at me weird after that. read more

OK I've been coming to this Dollar Tree for a while now. And NEVER have I met a better cashier than Lela. I think she started there a couple of months ago and literally every time I see her, she has a smile on her face. She goes out of her way to greet you and make you feel welcome. She's fast at ringing up your stuff and is super good at bagging. Other cashiers just throw your items in the bag, she actually takes the time to arrange things so you can fit more in there. Ive even seen her ask elderly customers if the bag is too heavy. Im sure most, if not all, customers would agree that she's a really sweet, smart, and helpful young woman. I hate that when I go there, she's usually the only cashier. Every other employe is either sitting around doing nothing or walking the isles pretending to put items back where they go. I've seen this girl literally sweating through her shirt, over working herself, while her coworkers hardly work. I really think Lela is a great person/employee and I really hope that the mangers there realize greatness and learn to appreciate her. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! I can't even tell you how much $$$ I saved by buying Christmas wrapping, gift bags, toppers/bows, tape, and tissue paper here. Their cleaning supplies are awesome and work just as well as name brands. We get ALL of out PARTY SUPPLIES here...trust me, you'll save a ton! Mylar balloons for a buck, blown up!? It's always difficult to find consistency amongst dollar tree stores in what they stock. This location seems to have a lot of nice variety. Doesn't seem to have the long lineup issues of other locations the many times I've been there. read more

Management for this store and the district suck! They pass the buck on all important store matters, like cleanliness, parking, onto their employees, most are kids and just dont care. From what I can gather there are only 2-3 employees that actually do their job are friendly and helpful. From the lack of parking do to the gym to the homeless in the parking lot harassing costumers on the way to their cars. The problems I see fall directly onto managements head who only seems to be concerned with their next bonus. The current manager Neil is a shadow of a man let alone a manager. Never have I ever approached a man so timid in a position of leadership. If this guy is what makes this company, I would trade my stocks for Game Stop,lol. All most all the employees are very rude and lazy too say the least. In the past year this store has falling short, the toilet seat has been broken for over a year. Dollar Tree do your company a solid favor and put a manager in place who actually cares about the neighborhood and the store BEFORE his BONUS! All this store needs is a DECENT manager to fix all the laxed mistakes that have been allowed to take hold causing for an unpleasant shopping experience for me and the other elderly folks whom depend on this money saving store. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SHORT COMINGS HERE! I have and continue to call code enforcement about the toilet seat as calling this store or corporation is a complete waste of time. There is one thing that has been very consistent through all of this plandemic BS and that's TINA, she really needs to find a better job as this place doesnt' deserve her or her kindness. This store brings down the entire area of Orangecrest all so some dips can get a bonus for giving horrible service to a beautiful neighborhood. First time here and 5 stars for sure. This new Dollar Tree is located in the old Fresh and Easy store, in Mission Grove. The store is nicely organized and has a larger selection of food than most Dollar Trees. Two rows of cards and lots of party supplies too! Very clean since its still new. Nice concrete floors too- usually these stores have the dirty carpet. The staff I interacted with at this store are friendly as well, asking how my day is and if I found everything okay. I understand being friendly, respectful, and greeting customers when coming into your store but to hold a conversation for 20 mins at checkout laughing, being extra loud, and your conversation with a customer has cause a long unwanted wait with people that just want to pay for their items and leave. If you feel the need to have a flat out conversation do it in your time and not the 15 people waiting in line. read more

Very clean, spacious, and organized facility. I went on their grand opening (first day open) and everyone was polite and awesome. The next time the cashier was like any other cashier at any other dollar store. Today, the cashier Valerie kept texting on her cell phone. So rude and annoying. I literally just stood there staring at her while she ignored me and texted. Then she said "Sorry, it's my daughter". Ok that's cool we all have emergencies. Then she rang me up and told me the total and WENT BACK TO TEXTING. I stood there like an asshole with my arm stretched out with the money while she texted. I really, REALLY wish that I could give cashier a depressed review because she deserves 5 stars for working as efficiently as possible and keeping her bearing. The store itself doesn't deserve a good review. I waited in line for no less than 30 minutes! There was only one register open, ok it's before 130 in the afternoon that's not that big of a deal. The person in front of me had a lot of stuff, also not that big of a deal. At the last minute they decided they wanted a bunch of balloons, that's where it got bad. So they started picking out the balloons and by that point a line of no less than 12 people started forming behind me. Lucille called for help and her co worker said she was too busy. I continued to wait and by this time I was incredibly frustrated. I stood there waiting like a dummy because I had already invested so much time. She called for back up again and this time her co worker, with an attitude said she was just too busy. So her co worker finally opened up another register and instead of grabbing the first couple of people waiting in line she decided to grab people to help from the end of the line. Unbelievable. This is the closest dollar tree to my house but I will be sure to make that extra 5 minute drive to one a little further that knows how to treat a customer. read more

WORST experience of any Dollar Tree I have EVER experienced. ONE cashier working, while the other 2 are blowing up balloons. No assistance. Standing behind a person who had MORE than a cartful and the cashier see I have TWO items. Lady walks up behind me, goes and makes a comment, and gets taken IMMEDIATELY by one of the women blowing up balloons. I decide NOT to wait, place my items on the vending machine (I was in no way walking to the back of the store), my items falls. Cashier yells at me and comments "YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOME IN THIS STORE". Really? I'm MORE than happy NOT to patronize this joke of a store. NO parking due to the gym, RUDE employees (WHEN you can find one), and to get treated in such a manner was beyond unacceptable. I will drive further to go to a 99 cent store, or pay MORE at Walmart or Target. Nice going Dollar Tree--you've lost not just my business, but that of my family's, my friend, and my business associates (who've ALL had similar terrible customer service experiences at THIS location). read more

This store is right across the street from where I Live.. We all love it cause you can get those certain items for a buck. Now the stores main problem is its Cashier Staffing..?? I go here alot at least 7 or more times per week... At all different times, Morning, Night, Afternoon.. Weekdays, weekends.. all the time. And its always the same thing. About 6 or more people waiting in line and there is only 1 lone cashier (Usually Elisabeth) ringing everyone up.. I feel bad for here cause you can see she is struggling as speed is not her Forte, but its not her fault, there is no one Backing her up.. Ill even cruise the store and Ill find the other employee like hiding out in the corner stocking something not needed.. I mean come on jump in.. get on a register an help out. Nothing is worse for a retail store of any kind , where the time it takes me to pay is longer than the time it took me to shop... the Part where I give you my Money should be Quick and Painless (Business 101) SO I hope a Manager or someone from Dollar tree reads this and makes some changes here cause they are needed. I had such high hopes for having this store in our community. The first time I went was on opening day and it was great. But ever since then, things have been deteriorating significantly, especially the service. Now, mere months later, no one seems to want to help you or is able to help for that matter. Exceptionally clean when I walk in there is not another dollar tree but I've seen others this clean in this organized. Parking lot is huge there's lots of space to park the only thing is the employees not one person greeted me when I walked in and I ran into five people at 8:45 in the morning on Thursday morning. And I went to the register she didn't even say hi come on over there's nobody in line but she was busy putting stuff like in the in the register area. I maven interrupted her maybe. I got to the register and she told me how you can put the basket over there and it was a small little green basket and I'm like OK and so I put it where she told me to and I came back she didn't even bother saying thank you for doing her job. And then I told her you know the store is fabulous it's beautiful it's absolutely clean I love it she goes oh you're not like those other stores. I had also told her yeah but not one person greeted me I said hello to me or anything when I walked in the store and I ran into five people and she just said oh OK and that was it, she didn't apologize she didn't say oh why or anything like that a try make up for it she just was like OK. So I think I'll come here get what I need to do maybe and get out and not expect any type of communication between employees and customers. read more

Took the place of the only vegetarian and vegan friendly grocery store we had in this neighborhood, along with it promoting fresh fruits and vegetables and not GMO products but there's more than that. This dollar tree has horrible customer service. Every time I go in employees are on their phones. Rude and unnecessary. The cashier rang up my purchase for 13.28 and just after I ran my debit card through the computer system froze. She called the manager Cathy for help. Cathy told me that the purchase did not go through and she had to go to a different register and have it rung up again. Again I ran my debit card and actually got a receipt that it had gone through. I asked what happens if I am double charged. I was assured that I would not be charged twice since that previous trans action did not go through! I checked my back while still in the store and I had been charged twice. Showed Cathy my 2 charges that had been taken ou of my account. Asked for a return of my first charge. She told me she couldn't do that since it did not show on their log. Would I please come back the next day and see if it showed up on their log at the end of the night and if not she would refund my money. She also told me several times that they have had this happen before and the cashiers have let the customers leave without reigning their orders and they have lost so much money by the cashiers doing that. I returned the next day and was told she would refund me the money since it never showed up on the log. Then a training manager told her that they couldn't do that. I had to call the card company and go through them. After arguing with her for 30 minutes, and them blaming me for all the other people that had this happen to them and their cashiers letting them leave w/o reringing their orders, I was so angry and went to my bank and turned them in for fraud! My bank is now investigating! All the time that was wasted for $13.00. All they had to do was give me my money back and I'm sure they could afford to lose $13.00 more than I can. Absolutely ridiculous blaming one person for all their losses. Why am I being blamed for their mistakes. Shop there NO MORE! read more

Today I went into the dollar tree to buy a few drug tests to test for marijuana just to make sure I'm good for this drug test I have to take for this job I'm starting as the cashier rang me up she asked if they were for a job and uncomfortable I say yes how rude is it to ask that with a long line of people behind me. Then she asked what the job was and I told her no it's none of your business. Then as I pay there was a customer behind me that said if you ask me that's a stupid idea then the cashier says yes I know right!!! But he responds with no I was just talking about the option the machine gives you if you want a receipt or not. That was by far the most unprofessional experience I've had in a store before I wish I got her name I was just beyond annoyed and wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. Being discriminated with a line of people behind me was embarrassing and the manager of this location should be sure this never happens to another customer. read more

Love this store being in the community!!!!! I frequent this location and I appreciate that it is neat and orderly. I went to another location yesterday by default, needing something in a hurry and it was nothing short of a "hot mess". The Orangecrest location was the best idea ever. I am able to get my craft supplies and household products whenever I need them. The only reason this location does not get five stars is because sometimes there are not enough cashiers working, only one is not enough to sometimes handle the amount of people in the store.
